Was surprised at how different this was from the movie. Overall I enjoyed it; was a quick read and I'm glad that I now know the original story. I think if I would have read this when I was younger I would have enjoyed it a bit more, but then it's a children's book and it's aimed at a younger audience so that makes perfect sense.

Somehow both bizarre and dry…the kids didn’t really get into this one. Maybe a reread down the road will fare better for them.
