Elora and Jasper have always been together, it's them against the world. Bound together, souls marred by pain only the other can balm. They pursued their love of music together forming an anonymous band, everything is exactly the way it should be....Until she meets the mysterious and intense Lucian. Little does she know he's had his eye on her for a while and nothing is going to get in his way. She finds herself trapped between two dangerously possessive men, both hell bent on one thing, her. What happens when her traumatic past comes back to haunt her? Will she ever feel safe again?
Callie Moss is an indie author. She published her first book Surviving December in January 2022. Callie has overcome a lot after being diagnosed with Graves Disease at twenty-three. She's a chronic daydreamer, lover of dark gritty romance that makes you clutch your pearls and forsake well rounded men. She's a married, stay-at-home mom, surrogate, and cosplayer that likes to spend her time reading, writing, and listening to true crime podcasts. She grew up in the Midwest, where she always felt like an outcast. Never quite fitting in with the kids at school, she was bullied for her macabre tastes. Relentless imagination and her obsession with a particular sparkling vampire. She found solace in escapism and learned the profound effect a good story can have on someone. She wants to give her readers the same experience, creating worlds you can lose yourself in, if only for a moment.
Jasper and Elora grew up together from early childhood in an orphanage, so protective of each other that they would only be adopted together. These twin souls found their forever home with a Russian father, living as more than friends, soulmates, but not lovers - until everything changed, past traumas revisited and enter stalker, "supervillain," influential Lucian.
A great story of sexual tension, awakened feelings and mystery, this story kept my attention. Elora was both sweet and insecurely confident; Jasper, indulgent, protective, and possessive; Lucian, slightly broody and craze, kinky, dirty talker. Both guys were definite dominants, and their chemistry was fiery. Amazingly, the author infused tangible magnetic attraction from the first meeting.
Characters were well-developed, well-rendered, and the story was told from multiple points of view. The pace was progressive, not too slow or too fast. An intriguing tale. My only issue was the rampant grammatical errors, which made reading distracting.
I enjoyed this romantic suspense with a dose a spice -- nobody has to choose -- though it severely warrants editing.
I'm apparently binge reading everything Callie Moss has done, so my second read of hers was Surviving December.
Elora has one hell of a dark backstory, that will instantly draw you to her and want her to be okay. Then we have the two men Jasper and Lucian. These two are both possessive, dominat and fiercely protective of Elora. The three of them have some insanely hot scenes together, that will definitely make you need a cold shower after.
The twists and turns in this book will keep you turning those pages fast, and to put it simply, you need to read Callies books. I can't stress that enough.
Elora is a young woman who had a traumatic past that means she is plagued by anxiety. Her biggest comfort is the man by her side who is her entire world, her adopted brother, her soul mate and her true love. Both have a love of music and can often be found together in other situations. Meeting Lucian is very confusing for Elora because of the magnetism between them and the craving. He has been stalking her for years and knows every step she makes because of the obsession he has for her. She is in the middle of both overpowering, protective and violent men who wouldn't hurt her but who would kill for her. Secrets that have been kept from her will eventually surface and when they do... She will need these two bodyguards beside her.
This was such a moving story that pierced my heart deeply with its emotion and depth. We discover past events during the read that that are shocking and upsetting. This did really touch me in ways books usually can't but I was affected by a maelstrom of feeling. The way both men handle their woman is so endearing and possessive that I couldn't tear away from this sometimes darker romance. This was full of drama, triggers, sadness, trauma, betrayal and love. I was astonished by the plot and each chapter I had to binge for my own satisfaction. A story that has such character development with deep and meaningful love. A perfect fractured soul that is soothed by the addition of two others. This book is a breath of air which I never knew I needed but which has changed my life forever.

This book is a dark romance thriller, mafia, stalker, rockstar, erotica, best friends to lovers, adopted siblings, love triangle, love at first listen, and virgin romance. The novel does contain explicit content and violence so check all the trigger warnings before reading. Elora had a very troubled past but thankfully was adopted. Jasper is always there for Elora. Their relationship is easy but with complicated feelings. Elora meets a handsome stranger one day, Lucian. Lucian then starts popping up everywhere. Lucian is consumed with Elora. This also makes Jasper jealous although technically Jasper is Elora's adopted brother. Elora needs both the men in different ways. Elora's past is not through with her which is the thriller part. Elora and Jasper are also in a band, Surviving December, where they keep their identities hidden. That part will make more sense when you read the book. The ending was surprising. Jasper and Lucian made a reference to this fantasy earlier in the book but I never expected it to be the ending. I liked that none of the three characters were willing to give up. They knew what they had was special and worth it. The thriller aspect of this book doesn't entirely hit you until the end.

Unfortunately this book didn't seem to be proofread. ▪︎ Jasper took his clothes off on page 182 and again on the very next page. ▪︎. There were also quite a few grammatical errors.
Chapter 18, in Elora's pov annoyed the crap out of me. How she approached the guys and her little speech to Jasper regarding Lucian was irritating af. It was kind of a slap in the face in my eyes. And sadly from then on she irked the shit out of me. Which killed the vibe I was having with the book.
The epilogue was sweet and tied the book together nicely though.
—>>> “She’s mine. She always has been.” “She’s also mine. She made that very clear tonight.” Elora finds herself in an unexpected and emotional tug-of-war between a boy who has always been by her side, dark to triumphant times, and a “supervillain” hacker, who has his own murky-dark secrets and is clearly stalking her around town. But when the evil remnants of her traumatic past cannot to be held back any longer, it is up to those important in her life to rally and protect her, because they refuse to let it destroy what they have just now found together.
A great first read from this author, good suspense and interesting characters, especially the dark “supervillain” angle Lucian presents. Looking forward to reading more of this author’s stories!
I'd rate it a 4.5 out of 5 and round it up to 5 on Goodreads. Despite the several writing/grammatical errors, I'm willing to overlook them because this was indeed a rare & spectacular find. It's not every day I come across an MFM book with an obsessive, possessive, and stalking Hs. Although, I had to admit the stalking part was milder in my opinion, compared to the other books I've read in this genre that is. Plus, the plot was just too good, and the chemistry--ugh!--I was captivated throughout the book.
First, I’m going to say to anyone worried about the stalker part of this story, it’s not bad. Very mild in my opinion.
So I actually saw this author’s TikTok about the story when it was on preorder in a Facebook book group. I thought it looked like something I’d read, so I preordered it. I’m glad I did. It was a good story. I really enjoyed it. I couldn’t put it down and didn’t want it to end.
With that said, there are a few grammar errors I caught, but over all it was well written. I’ll miss these characters as I fell in love with them.
Oh man where to begin? Let's start with Wow! *Spoilers*
Jasper & Elora been each other's rock since being in the orphanage together then being adopted y the same man. They have always had a love connection. Then comes Elora's "stalker" Lucian. Would do anything to have her love him. He accomplished that task only for her to want them both. Fear not they live happily ever after no thanks to Elora's birth father or Lucian's father.

I received an ARC of this book for my honest review.
Wow!! Just WOW!! If you want some sizzling, steamy AF romance, then grab this book. Elora's, Jasper's and Lucian's story is simply the best MMF book I have read in a while. The storyline is amazing and the characters are frigging swoon worthy (especially Lucian). The twists in the plot also made this a delicious read. I love a good dark romance thriller and this when is definitely a great one!!
I really loved this story! The editing could have been better but I was so invested in this book that it honestly didn’t bother be as much. Jasper, Lucien and Elora’s story was thrilling, sexy and so much fun to read. Went into this blind but super happy about the outcome. Group scenes were great, could have used more detail but they were still really good. 8/10
Unfortunately for me the editing errors, timeline flow, magic reappearing clothes and lack of depth made me consider DNFing repeatedly. The blurb promised a dark, steamy reverse harem that was fully editing to resolve issues but I found it lacked on all of those parts.

Surviving December by Callie Moss is a new author for me and this story is very interesting, with strong passion and exciting heat that keeps you turning the pages to see how this will end.

This book was absolutely AMAZING!!! Jasper and Lucian would do anything for their little flower/ little dove. The way they protect Elora is next level and I'm really jealous.
It was a slow start for me and I almost gave up I'm sure glad i didn't. This book was so good,I love all three main character's Lucian is definitely my favorite though. I was hoping for a darker book but still loved it anyways.
Well, this wasn’t terrible, but it was obvious that it was self-published. It needs a bit of finessing. I liked Jasper best. I don’t understand how Elora could fall so quickly for someone who talks to her so disrespectfully. Months of the year reading challenge-December
Jasper and Elora were childhood friends, each others rock growing up and beyond. Add in stalker Lucian and your in for a twists and turning read that will have you hooked. Well written engaging steamy drama and more.

I started this last night and finished it today! I did not put it down. I was worried about all the blood talk but I can be a little baby buttt love a good spicy broody book. This was also my first stalker character and *chefs kiss*. May have just found a new book boyfriend So. Freakin. Good!
Callie Moss does it again, creating these beautifully dark men, causing my heart to stop. I loved everything about this book and the characters she created!!
lol can I tell you a single thing about this book? No. Did I absolutely enjoy the f*ck out of it? Yes. 100%. Absolutely. Things didn't make sense but I wasn't even mad about it.
Not enough character development for both boys. I feel like it was great development for her but that I barely scratched the surface of the boys. I liked the thought of the book but poor execution.
