I loved the previous two books but found this one a little hard to follow. The story was fast paced compared to the slow build eerie atmosphere of the previous books which I loved.

Another draw for me with this series was the chemistry between Louisa and Mr Morningside in the first two books, which sadly disappeared in Tomb Of Ancients. I know that it was probably wishful thinking on my part though because this series is classed as a gothic horror not a romance but I'm sure I wasn't the only disappointed reader.

What a great end to a phenomenal series. I can't give this book enough praise. Some people were bummed that a certain ship didn't sail, however I enjoyed the ships that were in this novel. Dalton was always too precious for this world ❤️

Тук имах няколко проблема с този финал, но като се замисля и като цяло с поредицата. Остана си далечна за мене Луиза и всички персонажи. Не почувствах и не разбрах нито един. Четях и не разбирах какво чета...
Първата книга а и анотацията на книгата ме впечатлиха, както и твърдата корица с любимият син цвят, както и сините страници вътре. Срещнахме се с Луиза, която беше избягала от училище и получила работа в доста необикновена къща, на име Ветровала. Идеята ми хареса, за пристигащите "лоши" хора, които не си тръгват никога от там...
Втората някак се загуби и чак финала беше що годе интересен, но отново нищо съществено не се случи с Луиза а уж душата и била поставена на карта тук. Но червените корици и страници разбира се бяха на висота.
И стигаме до финала, който беше безсмислен. Избягала от къщата, намираме Луиза в Лондон на "парти", осъзнавайки, че трябва да се върне отново в онази къща заради някаква книга!??? Дневника на онзи бягащият, дори не му помня името...от който разбрах само, че Хенри е убивал демони и ги затварял в птици...
Изобщо от къде тръгна първата книга с интересна история и къде стигна, не разбрах...малко ми беше каша...
И още, страниците не са лилави вътре, като при другите книги - досто разочароващо...
Ако трябва да се замисля и да си призная, купих си поредицата само заради красивите корици и цветове...явно...
Затова и цялостна оценка 3 - 3.5 ⭐

This was definitely one of my favorite series i’ve ever read, but i would’ve liked a better ending for henry and for Louisa to have ended up with lee. Her ending up with khent felt forced and like the author needed a last minute love interest for louisa. I would’ve rather her ended up with no one then him. oops i keep editing this review but she has so much going for the book with the found family trope and had to add in a love interest at the end and i won’t get over it.

also for the first two books i really wanted her to end up with henry because i can’t help but want and enemies to lovers scenario and it felt like it was building to that. but then he turned out to be gay and i also love that for him. henry supremacy he was kind of selfish and greedy but it was because he had been through so much and no one can argue with me that he didn’t deserve better. he’s just a little baby when dalton betrayed him (even though it was for good reason) henry was all like “but you promised:( :(“ he had feelings even if it didn’t seem like it ok i’m done goodbye.

First. The Binders are sick with their cruel jokes and depressing games.

Second. Unexpected romances that I will never complain. I needed them. Haha.

Third. Found friends that became family always make me want to cry grateful tears by the end of the series.

Fourth. My girl Louisa has come so far and I'm so proud of her.

Fifth. A mixture of sadness and awe of how the war went and the cost of not how to win it but how to stop it and to start anew.

Sixth. That epilogue is the balm that I need on my wounded soul. I just need all of them to be okay. Like, with each other. And hope this is not another alliance gone wrong. And since it's an ending I get to decide, I'll think of it as a friendship of two sides that will endure to eternity for the good of the world.

Now, that's the ending I want. Haha!

"Гробницата на древните" третата и финална част от поредицата "Къщата на фуриите" на Маделин Ру, за мен е много сполучлив завършек на историята. Сюжетът има доста изненадващи обрати във втората част, която явно е доста ключова за цялата история и задава основите за развръзката на финала, в нея са въведени почти всички важни герои и връзките между тях, в нея се случва надграждането и развитието на образите, те вече не са предвидими и черно-бели, в тях са преплетени повече зло, отколкото добро, и като за разнообразие почти няма изцяло положителни герои, няма го избрания герой, който ще спаси света. Битката, която е в основата, е стара, започнала преди векове и взела много жертви, това не е битка между доброто и злото, а битка за надмощие между древни Богове.
Докато в първата част фокусът е върху различните магически същества (които също са важна част от развитието на сюжета, тъй като всички обитатели на "Ветровала" и приятели на Луиза са деца на Черните магьосници и имат особени дарби), то втората въвежда собствени митологични архетипи по един нестандартен начин, те нямат допирни точки с класическите разбирания, а са изцяло пречупени през вижданията на авторката. Комбинацията е доста необичайна смес от магически същества и древни Богове. И в същото време атмосферата е изключително готическа, на моменти обяснителна и описателна, на моменти динамична, но с умерено насилие, не минава границите приказното фентъзи.
Очаквано Луиза е тази, чиято роля е да промени хода на събитията (втората част изяснява нейното минало и защо е толкова специална), тя трябва да даде/да направи саможертва, за да получи, в този момент има много интересна препратка към загадките на сфинкса. Една от слабостите според мен е в образа на Луиза, тя всъщност е донякъде пасивна, в тази част, както и в предишната, тя сключва сделка с господин Морнингсайт, но това, което тя иска в замяна е някак повърхностно. Тя е твърде млада и просто иска нормален живот, но нейната реакция върху всичко случващо се е някак неясна и несигурна, действията ѝ са хао��ични, тя се оставя на игрите на господин Морнингсайт и макар и неохотно следва плановете му. Той за мен си остава най-интересният образ, може би малко неразвит, но пък неговата загадъчност е част от обаянието му.
Финалната част е някак излишно проточена, а Епилогът сякаш задава поле за продължение и за мен лично стои някак странно, но като изключим това субективно виждане, поредицата е различна и оригинална и не стъпва на обичайната централна любовна история, всъщност любовните нишки са изключително слабо застъпени.

خب مجموعه خانه‌فیوری‌ها هم به سرانجام خودش رسید.

من اولین مجموعه‌ای که از این نویسنده خوندم تیمارستان بود و واقعا خیلی دوستش دارم. ولی این به حد اون نمیرسه

بیشتر از اینکه ترسناک باشه فانتزی دارک و دنیای پری و خدایان دارک بود.
جلد یک بیشتر فاز ترسناک داشت ولی داخل جلد ۲ کلا محوریت عوض شد.

Рядко имам удоволствието да чета илюстровани книги, които не са насочени към детска аудитория. Дали защото у много читатели все още не е изкоренено предубеждението, че „картинките са за децата“, дали защото така е по-евтино за книгоиздателите, нямам идея, но лично за мен красивите илюстрации винаги са били нещо изключително привлекателно, което допълва преживяването от книгата. А когато илюстрациите са дело на талант от ранга на Айрис Компие – книгата става неустоима. Ето така, чрез илюстрациите, реших да посегна към първата книга от едноименната трилогия на Маделин Ру. И определено не съжалих! Дори напротив – запалих се по поредицата, и то не на шега. Сочен YA с паранормални елементи и привкус на готически мрак? О, да! Сега е време да се потопим отново, за трети пореден (и може би последен?) път в зловещия свят на „Ветровала“. Затаяваме дъх и навлизаме в „Гробницата на древните“. Книгата я прочетох още края на Септември, но реших да си дам време да обмисля всичко случващо се... е и по забравих да го напиша де. Много добър финал на трилогията. Изключително динамично начало, след това темпото леко се забавя, за да даде време на читателя да си каже "Какво се случи сега?"... Ново появилите се персонажи са страхотни, а финала... такъв, какъвто трябва... 5/5 звезди 🥰

Wow! What a great ending to a great series! This is another one that I'll miss dearly (and consider buying my own copies for future reading).

I really did enjoy this one, despite my previous statement for saying that it moved quickly. And it moved very quickly, but I never really felt like anything of note was lost due to the pace. The only thing I think that I miss that the previous books had was the horror aspects? The feeling of mystery and dread that seemed to creep up and dwell around the corners.

I enjoyed being reunited with the old beloved cast and crew, and REALLY enjoyed some of the new characters. I'm the president of the "DALTON SPICER DESERVED BETTER" group. Sign-ups are free and there are snacks and refreshments at meetings. I also really enjoyed Fathom, and I'm a little bummed that she didn't get more parts in the story.

I thought the idea of starting some chapters with sections from Dalton's journal was a great idea, and I loved getting more info on how much Mr. Morningside had changed from when they were traveling together. There wasn't honestly a lot of the good ol' Devil in this book besides from passages in Dalton's journal, and I think I'm okay with that? He seemed to be more of almost an enemy in the past books to me. In this, there are much bigger problems than some bratty devil playing tricks on Louisa. The various creatures in this book, however, were so freaking cool!! The illustrations of both of the Binders that we read about in this book will probably play parts in future nightmares.

To keep from rambling too much, I really enjoyed this book! I'm stoked that my ship is actually canon (OMG?? DAHLIA? So cute. I loved the hell out of the Epilogue). The thing I liked most about this book was just the writing and the visualizations of the characters and places. I'll quietly hope for a new series that takes place during the epilogue, but I'll be satisfied with what we have for right now.

I was looking forward to the third book for a long time, hoping there would be an amazing ending! However, I was mistaken. The storyline was confusing and not thoroughly paced. What angered me more is that the little romance that was going on between Mr.Morningside and Louisa in the first and second books had disappeared inside this book. What’s worse is that Madeleine Roux decided to randomly marry Louisa off to Khent, who was not relevant until this book. I am so sad and disappointed and angry because I know were at least some sense of romantic interest going on between both Henry and Louisa! Now Louisa has a kid with Khent, and forgot totally disregards Mr.Morningside. It is truly sad because he also regrets what he did 💔💔 my ship is never going to sail unless a miracle occurs....

Hay muchas cosas que no me convencieron en esta historia,sobre todo al final,las muertes me las veia venir,pero eso no hizo menos triste una en particular.
El desarrollo y crecimiento de Louisa en la trilogia en general me ha gustado bastante,pero siento que los personajes secundarios, (Lee,Poopy,Chijioke) fueron dejados muy de lado en este libro.
Khent me encanta,¿donde puedo encontrar uno?
El final de Henry me ha gustado, aunque no es lo que me esperaba;Pero debido al epilogo siento que valio la pena lo que le ocurre,despues de todo el diablo debia de sufrir.
Ahora si lo mas importante: el epilogo debio ser mas largo.

Esta trilogía son los primeros libros que leo de la autora, recuerdo que al principio no tenía espectativas, no sabía que me esperaba si iba a ser agradable leer algo de ella o no pues solo había escuchado algunos comentarios de su saga "Asylum" por una conocida, pero debo decir que me sorprendió bastante, no se lleva las 5 estrellas porque me hubiera encantado un poco más de énfasis en algunos detalles de la historia, pero definitivamente es muy agradable, sus personajes son un encanto, especialmente Louisa me encanta su determinación en todo momento, su bondad y la forma en que siempre sigue su intuición, y por supuesto el diablo, que en esta historia es para nada como se le conoce, estoy encantada con las ilustraciones y la cantidad de criaturas que nunca hubiera llegado a imaginar y darles vida, si no es gracias a estos libros, mi favorito fue el segundo, siento que allí es donde todo tomo un rumbo inesperado, había partes que no podía soltar el libro, me tenía atrapada, y definitivamente este tercero, se resolvieron todas las preguntas, y le dió un buen merecido final, que deja mi corazón tranquilo, antes de terminarlo estaba pensando a dónde se van todos esos personajes? Especialmente los que iban de paso en la historia pero dejaron una marca, supongo que solo en algún rincón de mi mente quedarán como el recuerdo de alguien que solía conocer...
El libro no contiene nada de romance, pero no le hizo falta, en su lugar muestra más sobre la lealtad y la amistad, sobre como a veces tu verdadera familia podría estar en el rincón más lejano y en las personas menos inesperadas, pero aún así está parte dio vuelta en mi cabeza, " ¿Qué es del árbol que necesita del sol, pero se tuerce y crece lejos de este? ¿Qué es de la flor que ansía la lluvia, pero solo florece en el desierto?... ¿Por qué seguir adelante? Porque lo incondicional es eterno. Fuiste creado para ser eterno, y yo te amé por ello... si tan solo te amaras a ti mismo con la misma verdad que mi corazón"

Me gusto el giro que tomo el libro, me gustaron los sucesos que fueron pasando, además de que se nos dio mucha más información de un personaje que en lo personal sentía que en los pasados libros falto por explorar, cada escena fue bien ejecutada, aunque hubo ciertas cosas que no me parecieron bien como lo fue el principio de este libro y algunas actitudes de la protagonista.

Dejando de lado eso, se le dio un buen cierre a la historia, no fue mi favorito pero quede conforme con lo que se concluyó y el epílogo fue muy bueno solo que me quede con una preguntaaaaa hahah y eso no se donde me lo van a responder.

Es una trilogía que recomiendo mucho, tiene una historia muy buena y unos personajes muy interesantes y bien estructurados, toda la magia que lleva esta trilogía es maravillosa, de verdad espero que le den una oportunidad

Definitivamente la prosa de Madeleine Roux no es lo mio. Con ésta trilogía y mi previo intento con axylum, doy por terminada mi relación con la autora. Sus novelas suelen llamar mi atención por su aspecto gótico pero una vez entramos en la historia.....flojea todo.

En éste caso, me llevé una sorpresa con la primera parte (no para tirar cohetes pero oye...bien), en el segundo ya... Chirría. Éste tercer tomo directamente no tiene nada que ver con el primer libro y encima... Me aburre. No sé, sus personajes me dan igual, su historia es básica y en fin, hay muchos libros por leer y sintiéndolo mucho, ésta autora no es para mi.

•Подходяща за мрачен и дъждовен ден, с горещ чай/кафе в ръка и топло одеяло.

• Викторианска атмосфера, симпатични герои, лека нотка на хорър елементи и голяма щипка надиграване - кой ще прецака Дявола?

•Трилогията не е от онези приковаващи вниманието мигновено, историята се навързва пред очите на читателя и с всяка следваща книга придобива по динамичен и интересен характер.

•Героите са приятни за разглеждане, всеки допълваше сюжета със своята странност и действия, всеки добиваше някакво малко израстване в даден момент.

•Книгите се четат лесно, бързо, като единствено първата книга е една идея по-бавна - сякаш там автора предоставя на читателя възможност да се нагоди към стила на писане и го поставя в очакване на всичко предстоящо.

•Препоръчвам ли я? Да, ако си търсите нещо неангажиращо и леко сумрачно, изпъстрено с хумор по краищата.

•Ако си търсите по-разтърсващ и мрачен роман, то тези книги не са за Вас.

This series started out so good but sadly has gone downhill. The first book is spooky, with a great plot and interesting characters. The other books are less about the Devil punishing evil people and more about Gods and their plots to take over. This last story felt so rushed that I had a difficult time keeping track of what was happening. I wish it slowed down a bit and went back to the roots of horror.

Some parts of this were interesting and I still liked the different characters and their abilities. I couldn't follow the parts about the books or the tomb very well and it's a blur honestly. The ending also bummed me out. There were a couple ships I hoped for that didn't pan out plus I wanted Coldthistle House to keep doing what it's meant to. At least the epilogue was fun and hints at a possible fourth book someday.

I found this book very hard to follow. It wasn’t explained throughly how Louisa and Khent met and it’s so weird to go through the “warm” scenes between him and Louisa. It felt forced. I had to cringe everytime. It was disappointing since I loved the first two books. I found this last one very boring and.. forced. One of the things that draw me into this series is the chemistry between Louisa and Mr. Morningside (even secretly shipped her with Lee) and that all ended in one book. It’s just so weird how one book changed everything.

Another thing, I know the book doesn’t really focus on romance, but it’s soooo hard not to unsee the scenes between two characters that doesn’t even have any chemistry. Lol.

Se lee rápido y es ventaja pero la historia es... simple. Mi favorito sin duda es la primera parte. Aunque claro, no estuvo mal, la autora tiene una facilidad para expresar y explicar los acontecimientos pero estuve confundida en la mayoría de la historia y siento que no se le dio profundidad a ciertos personajes.

Me alegro de haber terminado esta trilogía. Tiene unas ilustraciones muy bonitas y la historia pudo haber sido mejor, tenía mucho de donde explotar.

2.5 stars. I loved the first two books in this series, but this one just felt like an entirely different story. It didn’t have the same feel to it at all. Idk if I read it during a brain fog and might like it more upon rereading it someday, but it seemed to not fit the tone of the rest of the series. There were too many new characters added and I couldn’t keep track and really slugged through this one.
