Jörg Fauser (1944-1987) was a German writer, poet and journalist.

The influence of the American beat generation literature on his works is well known. His later works are mostly detective stories. The novel Der Schneemann was made into a motion picture. Fauser was killed in a traffic accident on a motorway near Munich in 1987.

Grandios! Feinster Hard Boiled, liest sich immer noch so frisch wie 1986.

Short, hard-boiled. Fauser is a master of this genre, the detective who feels very much at home in the underworld. He manages to evoke empathy without nausea, admiration for his language and enjoyment of a good read!!
