One curvy girl. One hot fireman. One tent. Two days in the forest that change them forever.
Drew was determined to find clues to connect the arson cases in the national forest to the decade-old missing person case that is now the talk of his hometown. What he does not expect is to get pepper sprayed in the eyes when tries to help a damsel in distress. When Drew’s eyes finally clear, he can’t get enough of Lucy’s luscious curves. Could the free-spirited and unpredictable woman be just what Drew needs to shake him from safe and comfortable life? Maybe if he can get them out of the forest alive and away from the real danger, he might just find out.
What was supposed to be an easy hike to cross off her bucket list turned into two days on the run in the forest with a hot fireman…
Lucy has always been afraid to give in to her desire to embrace her wild side. In an effort to connect with her late father, she’s on leave from her job and traveling the country in a camper van to check out all his favorite spots. But when she’s accosted near a trail just outside the small mountain of Pinegrove Mountain, she’s thrust into a bigger adventure than she was expecting.
Fighting for survival, snuggling for warmth, and sharing a tent may bond them while they are in the forest, but how will things change when they get back to their regular lives? Or will they find that nothing will be the same again?
Rescue is the steamy third novel in the five-part Pinegrove Mountain series. Each book will have a different couple and a HEA, but there is an overarching mystery that connects all the books, so it's best to read them in order.
I live in Arizona with my husband and kids, and a feisty cat. Besides writing, I enjoy cooking and hiking. And reading, of course. I have way too many books and not enough time in the day. I'm also learning to play the bass, just because I wanted to try something new.
Drew is determined to find out anything he can regarding the fires that are being set in the forest, he believes it is the cult that his sister had a run in with. When he hears a woman scream he goes to investigate and gets pepper sprayed, Lucy heads right to the police station. Chase and Dan get a kick out of the fact it was Drew she pepper sprayed. When he can see again, he definitely likes what sees.
Lucy is on trek to follow he late father's footstep, to be closer to him. When she catches the attention of one of the cult members, will Drew be there to save her?
This book is fast paced romantic suspense with dark undertones. Drew and Lucy have such chemistry between them which leads to some really hot scenes. The book is the third in a five part series that overall mystery throughout but each one focuses on a different couple and should be read in order. I really enjoyed the story, it pulled me in and I cannot wait for the next book.

Strangers to Lovers. Forced Proximity due to Forest Fire. Curvy h, fire-fighter H. Great chemistry.
This is the third book in the Pinegrove Mountain Series and the mystery that started in book one continues through the series so in this book Drew is out in the forest looking for clues for a potential arsonist that might be connected to the events of the previous two books. Lucy comes to Pinegrove in order to visit the sights her father used to go to when he traveled and ends up caught in forest fire and thankfully Drew who happens to be looking for clues in the forest is there to help keep her safe and as they run for their life, the trees might not be the only thing that burns bright ;)
This is the third book in this series, I would highly recommend that you read the first two books in this series it will make it a lot easier to follow underling story. Drew and Lucy first meet in a very interesting way, he is trying to help her, and she panics. They end up having to relied on each other to survive the fire and wilderness.
