I can't really judge psychoanalytic texts, they are all insights galore, but this one has some humdingers like the super-ego-ideal (which makes good things happen without feeling you are even trying, as if someone has just given them to you, wouldn't mind having me some of that) and the psychic foundations of tyranny. Best described by what it says on the back - it's about how sexuality structures the personality rather than about sex. NB sexuality in the Freudian sense of a force wider than actual sex that structures everything social and cultural. Sex is the least of it. Actually adult sex happens rarely according to this author!
