I still have no idea what to say almost a full week later except go one click this book NOW. Every single thing I've read by this author is a knockout, but this one takes the cake. Lou lou is such a strong heroine, refusing to bow down for anyone and is tired of her kings refusing to treat her like the royal queen she is. Secrets are revealed, hearts are finally starting to heal, and her and her band of men finally seem to find their new normal with one another again, but their world is turned on its axis once more and the men that Lou Lou loves will stop at nothing to keep her safe. No matter the cost.
There's really not much I can say that's not a spoiler, but Holy crap was this book amazing! As soon as this landed on my kindle I secluded myself away from all of life's responsibilities, and a few hours later I was cursing KC's name🤣. That ending has me SHOOK and the wait for April is going to be excruciating. I need all the answers right now!
I will say one thing though: tattoos. That'll make sense once you read, but all the swoon. Especially Jameson who has claimed the top spot in my heart. These guys are just everything and I can't wait for the final book!

As soon as this landed on my kindle I secluded myself away from all of life's responsibilities, and a few hours later I was cursing KC's name🤣. I've been anticipating this second book for so long!! It didnt disappoint, I love Lou-Lou so much. I felt for her in the last book, MY GOD THE SECRETS!!! Plot:
Lou Lou spends sometime getting the boys to tell her the turth about a lot of things. She wants to know about her sister and mother, she also wants to know about all the other secrets they are hiding. She manages to get under everyones skin and starts to gets one answers, she finds out about the gang arrows and about what Robbie has done to the boys. The boys all start to fix there relationship with Lou Lou, and she fins the tattoo everyone got for her on by one. The book ends with Jagger getting shot to save her.
My feelings:
Kc Kean we need to talk!!! Cliff hanger much!
It was 2am when I got to the end and I had to continue the next book just to find out if he died to not! Argh killed me!
Also spicy as chapters with MM bits… HOT AF. I love when there is more action then regular Harems…. Hot dam! Kc Kean knows how to write the real juicy stuff!

I Struggled with he boys holding all the secrets back! I wanted to know them all!
And that red haired girl…. Omg I wanted to punch that bitch in the tit! She is 100% on the other gang for sure!
And that friend she made…. I think she might have become friends with her before she was made to find out information, and she genuinely hates doing it. I wonder if that will ever amount to anything.
Im also just waiting for Ryan to come to the rescue and clean this whole mess up for them, and bring them all into this security team so they can all just live as a happy family in what ever town Eden lives in!

I have been patiently waiting for this book since the ending of Watch Me Fall and OMG it was better than I imagined it to be.
There is so much more going on throughout this book, especially some truths coming to light. It was awesome to see the natural progression of the relationships between the group but also the push and pull between the guys and Lou-Lou.
She has just proven herself to be even more of a strong character. I love everything about her and how the guys are with her. So much is happening all around her but she takes no sh*t from anyone!
Well the spice level in this book got even hotter 🔥🔥🔥🔥 especially with that MM action going on 🥵
Can I just say though, what was that ending???! 😱😱😱 I mean I love a good cliffhanger but whoa what am I supposed to do with myself now until the next book comes out 😂

I love them all and honestly struggling to find a fave. I might just keep all of them for my own harem 😂🖤

April 11, 2022DNF’d @ 60%. The first book was great, but this second one was the author saying a whole lot of nothing with a lot of words. The plot is so thin it might as well not exist. The confrontations between Jagger and Luella are entertaining to be sure, but that doesn’t make up for the epic sexfest with virtually no substance. I’m good thanks.

This book smashed it! Literally everything. The story. The spice. My heart.
So much goes on in this story that it will have you on the edge of your seat and ready to throw your kindle.
The guys still keep some of the secrets from Lou-Lou while telling her the lesser secrets which only pacifies her for the moment but none the less a step in the right direction.
Lou-Lou and Lola get to properly meet and it absolutely MELTED my heart!!!
I REALLY wish Robbie fall into a deep sharp pit. Permanently.
And then that race 🫢 and what happened after 😮💨
But then she stumbles upon jagger having a discussion out back at the party and BOOOYYYYY things pop off.
Lou-Lou and the guys FINALLY get the secrets out of the way and can be together without those secrets being a wedge between them.
So much happens to them that it seriously makes you want to throat punch someone on their behalf for the crap hand they have been dealt.
And just when they seem to be getting a little reprieve, just a little slice of happiness amid all the chaos THAT HAPPENS!!!THAT ENDING?!?!🤬😭 WHY!!!!! This better be a joke. A horrible joke. Cause if not my heart is broken 😭

This series is potentially going to cause me to have a heart attack when it's all said and done. I had to pace myself with everything that was going on, and let me tell you, that ending is a doozy, so beware!!! However, I would still recommend this book to everyone because this series so far has been AMAZING!!!
Luella is reunited with her guys, and while they're still figuring things out between them, life and other outside forces are trying to break them. However, it's not going to be easy!!!
This series hits me all in the feels, and I CANNOT wait for the next book!!!

be ready for steam
I absolutely love Lou - Lou. She’s been a character I’ve needed more from since she appeared in a previous series. Emerson U is definitely my favourite series to date from this author. I adore all of the guys, Lou - Lou is the leading lady with attitude and it has twins. This is packed full of heat and there are enough panty melts moments that Ann Summers is currently low on stock. I’d love to tell you what happens but I can’t leave any spoilers

Fantastic continuation of the story but WOW what a cliffhanger! Bring on April for the next book as I just need to know. I’m looking forward to all of the connections coming out and clicking together.
As always KC has dragged me in and has me hooked. Leo remains my favourite although Jameson is definitely rising in the favourite of the day stakes.

I am so glad I found this series after it was completed with that cliffhanger. Loving all of KCs books so much. My only complaint is a few minor things I don’t get. Like why didn’t Lou lou call the guys when her brother took her away? Not a huge fan that they are only 18 either but still loving it. Action packed and sexy an heck!

Going to be honest..this book had a cliffy that may or may not have cracked my heart open and had the tears flowing. I’m speechless. I’ve been sitting on writing this review for weeks because I just don’t know what to say, so I’m going to keep it simple and spoiler free. I LOVE THIS BOOK. THIS STORY. Lou Lou and her guys are EVERYTHING! KC has become one of my favorite one click authors. I devoured all of her work at the end of 2021, so now I’m literally devouring her new books as they release and hit my kindle app. 5 stars. Every. Time. And this book was no exception. This book has such amazing character development, secrets revealing, tension and spice, my god, so much spice. This harem has been added to the rest of my book boyfriends for life and I can’t wait for the next release so we can see how things get better..or worse 👀🤞🏼🔥

how come ezra this magical hacker who wanted to do a background check on vince since first page of the first book but he didn’t? is it a plot hole or what?

I'm still loving Lou-Lou - one of my favorite FMCs and I love how KC writes strong heroines who each have a unique feel for their personality. I was wanting a bit more for the relationships rebuilding between her and the guys - - it's one of my favorite things about the friends-turned-enemies-to-lovers trope, to see that growth journey and rebuild and healing. The external plot progress is a bit slow for what I think is a planned trilogy. And I still don't get why the main "bad guy" is such a threat - we're just told that and what/who he's threatening and the guys insist they have a plan and need time 🤷

Ummmm KC Kean has done it again? Do i put that for all my reviews? Probably. But I absolutely love KC's writing!
Okay, on to the book! I absolutely LOVED IT! I knew once I finished the first book in the series I wanted more and this one just kept my excitement going! I am a huge fan of the way KC is writing Lou-Lou and these guys and she has me eating out of the palm of her hand! Will post my full instagram review below!

Immediately after book one, I wanted more. I’m so hooked by Lou-Lou and her guys, I couldn’t IMAGINE having to wait for the rest of the series! I’m honestly a sucker for reverse harem when it has any type of gang, mafia, or secret society, so this is right up my alley!

But I won’t lie, this book was hard on my soul and I might leave work to go crawl up in my bed and cry… because WHY KC?!?!?! I need the next book and I need it now because I think my heart health will decline without it 😭

I know I go into KC’s books telling myself I’m prepared for the cliffhangers, but that’s a lie, I never am. HOW CAN YOU DO THIS TO ME?! They kill me every time. Lou-Lou continues to be one of my favorite characters. She’s strong, smart, strong-willed, bad***, stubborn, and overall, fantastic. She refuses to be walked all over, or left in the dark. After the first cliffy there were so many unanswered questions. We get answers to some, but more just continue to pop up. Lou and her guys still have a lot to do to work together. The guys continue to insist on keeping her in the dark which really does no one any good. They must learn to work together if they are going to survive. Jameson is my favorite, and he becomes even more so in this book. Jagger is stubborn as all get out and refuses to bring Lou into the fold. Leo and Ezra are sweet and loving as always, but the tension is thick between them with all the secrets. Everything comes to a head eventually. There is plenty of angst, mystery, and spice. The spice is delicious, I’m envious of my girl Lou – she’s got some seriously hot guys with even hotter scenes. They are protective and possessive, sweet yet domineering. The writing is wonderful. KC has a way with words that spin an incredible story while making us feel as if we are right there in the story. The cliffy is brutal, be forewarned. I can’t wait until April for the next book, I really need to know what happens next!! If you’re looking for lots of angst, action, spice, and mystery look no further! 🖤

Loving this series!!! Need more of this series!!!!
Watch Me Rise is the 2nd book in the Emerson I series and boy!!! From start to finish, what a ride. There is more lies and betrayal. There is more steamy moments. More Robbie, who I hate with a passion. More tender moments, drama, heartbreak... just more everything and I am loving the series because of it all!!!
Luella is such a strong character, stubborn too and she is often underestimated. So, when her kings try to keep her out of their world, for her protection LOL, you know for sure Luella is going to come out swinging, proving her worth. To hold her own. And boy does she what!!!
I know from my review of book 1, I said Ezra is my favourite, but I think Jagger might just be moving up a couple of spots and is now right behind him. I'm getting used to his over the top, possessive attitude so he is definitely growing on me.
So, it is possible that I may have forgotten a teeny tiny scene between 2 of the guys from the first book, I know I cant believe it either, and when I was reminded..... OH MY GOD. Want and need more of that for sure!!! The chemistry Luella has with each of kings is pure fire. Especially with Jagger. Super intense. But it was also great to see natural progression in the relationships she has with each of them on a deeper and more emotional level.
I'm not going to dance around it, the ending left me stunned. I could feel something was coming, but this...... WWWWHHHHYYYY????
Ok, now I really can't wait until book 3 comes out cos I need to know.

I'm not really sure where to begin other than....I love all things KC Kean.
This is the third series I've read by her, and it does not disappoint. My favorite part is how she has interconnected all of the stories, even if in only the most subtle of ways.
Watch me Rise picks up right where Watch Me Fall dumped us off the cliff. Do you get answers? Yes. Are there still more secrets and twists to come, abso-freaking-lutely! But....that's the best part, trying to keep up and solve the mystery...spoiler...you won't. So just hold on tight and enjoy the ride 😘
I want to know all the things. Like why are characters I want to like being shady? Do they have something being held over their heads like the guys? Or are they just bad guys that are good and pretending to be good guys? Haha

I have no idea what led me to continue this series when the first book was so bad (I'm running out of school rh bully romances to read I guess) but I did, and idk if I liked it or not. So much time is spent on not knowing wtf is going on because these assholes won't tell her a thing even though every reveal is such a non-issue that it's actually funny this is the actual plot. They had to hide that her father thought she was pregnant? That he was set up to go to jail to keep her safe from his wrath? That her mother was the pregnant one? That they started a new gang? Why are they treating these like life or death secrets? Like she's too fragile for the truth? Smh it only left her vulnerable for not knowing what was going on and their million arguments about what they would and wouldn't tell her got old like 5 chapters into the first book.
Also I think it's funny that she sees their secret basement filled with a whole stock of weapons and then willfully chooses to believe that the bulletproof truck they forced on her was just them being overprotective and not an actual safety measure. Lmao
Anyway, some of the relationship stuff is actually pretty cute. Though the FMC is getting annoying though with her loud bark that never results in anything more. Even when she threatened the redhead to stay away from jagger, it was awkward. And supposedly she can fight really well and can unload a gun without looking (why were they so impressed by that lol) but will that ever come into play? Because she's just kind of coasting rn while everything happens around her.

The storyline is starting to get very repetitive. Also making very little sense and feeling amateur.
Cons…
- “Swiping hands down face” is over used to the point of annoying as heck.
- The FMC loving the guys fighting over her is gross to me and portrays her as immature and trashy.
- I loved the FMC in the first book she seemed Bad A… second book she’s whinny, demanding and needy which ruins her character.
-Why are they never packing weapons to defend themselves even though they have all these supposed hard core enemies????
- They are All supposed to be College aged adults who are hard core gang leaders strapped with guns to protect their family … but act like high schoolers fighting over playground turf with sticks…. Just No
- Also why is the author making the characters seem so weak about killing people…. I’ve never heard of a gang that had problems with spilling blood … it’s makes no sense. The storyline is getting confusing and making no sense.
- All the build up to the secrets… and then when they finally come to light…. It’s like that was it??? Where’s the wow factor???
It’s like being on the verge of a climax and having cold water dumped on you.
Pros
-I’m glad they are all finally on the same team.
-The SPICE is absolutely the freaking best!!!! It could last a little longer during the scenes but regardless it’s super HOT and is the only reason I’m continuing this series at all!!!!
I just hope the FMC is more BadA in the next book and the SPICY scenes continue to get Spicy er haha

-The SPICE is absolutely the freaking best!!!! It could last a little longer during the scenes but regardless it’s super HOT and is the only reason I’m continuing this series at all!!!!
I just hope the FMC is more BadA in the next book and the SPICY scenes continue to get Spicy er haha

After meeting Lou-Lou in the Allstars series, I was curious to read her story.
I definitely enjoyed this series more than I enjoyed the Allstars one, but not as much as Featherstone.
Lou-Lou is a strong FMC and she constantly schools her emotions to not show any weakness, but at times I felt like she was a little unrealistic, or perhaps a bit unrelatable, with how she schooled her emotions constantly. By the end of the series, Lou-Lou really is a bad bitch and that was great.
I wasn't a fan of the fact that we had Ryan blatantly there as part of the story but didn't utilize him or his connections for most of the series. It just didn't quite add up.
Lola was also a total MacGuffin which was annoying because we could have done a lot more with her in this series.
I've said this before and I'll say it again from my soapbox; I am NOT a fan of explicit RH stories taking place with high schoolers. I'm well aware that high schoolers are sexually active, but books like these are written for adults to consume, so it's weird to have the main characters be in high school and to read about high school teens engaging in group sex (which is usually what happens in an RH). In almost all cases, I find that the story would achieve the same goals if it was just in a college/university setting. After reading The Allstars series I was SO FREAKING HAPPY to find that this was university based!
Overall, a 3.5/5 star series.

What in the...what??? Are FREAKING SERIOUS????? damnit K.C.KEAN, you and your cliffhangers that just absolutely destroy me each FREAKING time. You'd think I'd know better, that I'd see the devastating cliffhanger coming...I do, I know its going to be epic but damnit it ...does it have to destroy my soul???
This book was full of tough, raw moments that brought me to tears and I found myself having my own inner monologs as the characters, especially as LouLou. She is so amazingly tough and I knew she would be because she is an amazing friend in the All Stars series. But she's absolutely fierce in these books. I hope she reigns down all mighty fury and hell on all those who seek to destroy her family. I'm crossing my fingers for a Ryan cameo, maybe to help her out by getting Lola and June out safely so that she and the guys can kick some ass. One of my biggest questions is... why do they not search their home or vehicles for hidden bugs? Especially after each party? Obviously they have people feeding the Vultures info if they know about drops and pick ups and Obviously Robbie is feeding info to, but damnnnnnn this some crazy crazy going on. I'm gonna go crazy waiting for two months for the final book. Damnit K.C. your so lucky I love your wickedness or I'd have to send you a bag of D!c%s. Lol.

Miss Ma’am SERIOUSLY! I swear when you start plotting your books your first thought must be how can I top the last book by literally ripping out our hearts stomping on them and then feeding it to some wolves.
Lou-Lou is freaking amazing! The relationship she has with each one of her guys is growing and building into something truly amazing. Each of the guys brings a piece Lou-Lou is missing and she is the guys entire world. Seriously I don’t know how they functioned for so long without her because whenever they are together she can just feel that she is their everything. I absolutely love how each guy has his own version of her name that they call her and it’s not a “pet” name it’s her actual name it is so freaking sweet.
The emotional roller coaster that we are taken on is rough and raw and real emotions and feelings are front and center and I had tears in my eyes. Lou-Lou is so strong and so selfless. There is so much that is happening so many secrets that I feel like haven’t revealed themselves and for the love of all that is holy somebody needs to hand Robbie his a$$ preferably Lou-Lou and with an evil smirk on her face.
Ma’am you know how to hit us where it hurts to say that least and I am currently rocking back and forth in the corner mumbling to my self while I wait for the next book!!! BRAVO WOMAN!!!

This. THIS!!! This cliffhanger is why I choose to wait for series to be complete before reading. I can't handle this kind of stress. BUT - this is not my first rodeo. I have been here before, hurt by authors in the past with the same cliffhanger. This has hardened my heart and I know that I should not believe a single word uttered in those last few paragraphs. Something will happen at the beginning of book 3 that will fix everything. Everything will be ok *shakes in fetal position*. This is a romance series afterall.... you have to have a HEA for all major characters. YOU HAVE TO!! ITS IN THE BYLAWS!!
Anyway, I really enjoyed getting to know the guys in this book. We got more information about each of them and I am so drawn to all of them for different reasons (as is Lou Lou). The steam ramped up in this book compared to book 1 so that was also exciting. What I didn't like as much is the general plot line. The *secrets* the guys were holding back were anticlimactic. I wouldn't really call this series "unique". Featherstone Academy was SO UNIQUE and exciting and both Toxic Creek and this one have not quite lived up to the amazingness of Featherstone. I am, of course, enjoying this story enough to finish book 3 and see how everything plays out. Maybe the author has something new and unique coming.
