I love Regency set books, and I love retellings so reading The Thief and the Noble seemed like a no brainer to me! Dana LeCheminant is a new author to me, but I thoroughly enjoyed her take on the Robin Hood tale. Marian is an endearing character, admittedly unsure of herself, but also confident where it counts. I enjoyed the sibling-like relationship between Marian and her cousin Will, as well as the lovely developments that took place between Marian and her parents, especially her mother. Instead of an unrealistic absentmindedness on the part of her parents, it’s more of decision based on a misunderstanding of what they think their daughter wants. Anyway, it was just nice that the parents weren’t willfully oblivious or neglectful.

Of course, the relationship that develops between Marian and Robin is brimming with chemistry and lovely pieces of dialogue. I love the twists that the author takes on the original story. The plot flows really well once things get rolling, and although I figured out who the copy cat thief was before the reveal, the suspense makes the last half of the book so exciting, and the ending is especially fun. There are also still the various teas, balls, and carriage rides that so delightfully accompany Regency stories and firmly place the reader into the setting and time period. I would definitely consider reading something by LeCheminant again in the future.

I received a complimentary copy of this novel via NetGalley; a positive review was not required, and these are my honest thoughts and opinions.

I love Robin Hood stories! What's not to like about someone who is trying to right the injustices of society? This one is a Regency retelling of Robin Hood with a twist. Lady Marian is not happy with the injustices either and tries to find ways to help the poor. Of course she's going to run into another thief, Robin. These two were so fun together. I enjoyed their banter and the sweet tension between them. I think Robin was a little irritated with Marian and her not holding back wanting to help. When she decides to do something, she jumps right in. It was pretty fun. She just needs a little help in refining her methods, then everything will be right as rain.

Except they better watch out for the copycat thief who is causing trouble for them. Oh it was fun trying to guess who it could be. I figured it out but will you be able to? Or will you be pretty surprised at the end when it all comes together and there's the big reveal?

Marian and Robin go the rounds in trying to teach those who have been cruel to others. In trying to protect the poor, they should have been trying to protect their hearts. Their little band can do many great things but they'll have to be careful if they want to come out of their escapades and close encounters with the copycat alive. Duh duh duhhhhhh!!!!

Content: Clean. There are some mild moments of peril but nothing graphic. Nothing further than some kisses. A couple mild innuendos coming from a despicable character (really an inconsequential character). Well written and enjoyable!

I received a copy from the publisher, Covenant Communications, via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.

Happy Reading!!!

If I'm being honest, sometimes have a hard time with re-tellings and I can't really say why. But not this time. I lovey loved this book and it's characters.

Marian and Robin are two interesting and fun character with such personality! It was oozing right out of the pages and into my heart and head. This story created a fantastic movie in my head and I love when that happens. There was danger, adventure, mystery and growing tension throughout the book. It led to quite the exciting ending!

I thoroughly enjoyed this retelling in regency style. It had your favorite characters from good ol’ Robin Hood and a few new ones. It had the regency feel, but it was fun to see some nobles sneaking around in the middle of the night, bending society’s rules. I loved the spunk and tenacity that Marian exuded. She was sweet, but a determined little thing and you could tell she just wanted to do some good in the world. Also, you can’t help but love when the love interest teaches the girl how to fight. I mean, yes please. And the villain, definitely an interesting character. I really wasn’t expecting his motives.
This is definitely a historical fiction worth reading, it has all the makings of a sweet romance. Oh and prepare to fall in love with Lord Robin Loxley, he’s quite the catch.

Welcome to the regency world, Dana! You killed it with your new historical and I’m excited to see what you have next!

Loved this creative retelling of Robin Hood! I enjoy fairytale retellings and this book completely grabbed my attention and imagination and I quickly devoured it. While the traditional Robin Hood story takes place in the Middle Ages with Robin as a lower class thief robbing the rich to give to the poor, this story takes place in Regency England with Robin as a nobleman who tries to teach his fellow wealthy noblemen a lesson by robbing only those who mistreat or take advantage of others and then gives to the poor.

The characters are so well developed and I absolutely loved Rob or Robin. He’s a charming, mischievous thief who is part rogue and part nobleman. As the Elusive Earl, he maintains a mysterious distance from society while able to carefully observe them. Growing up in poverty and trying to provide for his mother and sister quickly educated him in the ways of survival until he inherited the earldom at the age of 18. He’s managed to maintain his secrecy until he meets Lady Marian who turns his world upside down.

Lady Marian wants to make a difference for the lower classes in society. She’s beautiful, compassionate, brave and a little impetuous. Going undercover to find out how the other half lives, she meets a handsome thief and is determined to have him teach her his ways. Imagine her surprise when the handsome thief is the Elusive Earl. She tries to find a careful balance between enjoying her first season and learning from Robin.

The romance between Robin and Marian was so good! He loves to discombobulate her and keep her guessing, but when he shows her his true self and soft side, it’s hard not to fall in love with him. I loved the witty banter, and those swoony moments with near kisses.

With plenty of twists and turns, suspense, mystery, a delicious sweet romance, and memorable characters, this fun retelling will definitely steal your heart! This new to me author really impressed me and I will definitely read her other books. I highly recommend to those who love historical romance and fairytale retellings. 4 1/2 stars raised to 5. From the mysterious figure on the cover to the beautiful scroll design at each chapter head, this was a delightful Robin Hood story set in Regency England. The change in the time period lent itself to a fresh take and more opportunities for Robin Loxley and Marian Russell to hone their skills at thievery. Their ultimate goal, of course, was to take from the select pompous rich and give to the less fortunate. The villains are deserving of censure and the downtrodden are worthy of help.
Marian wants to help Rob, so he teaches her and her cousin Will. Robin, known as the Elusive Earl, finds her fascinating and is drawn to her. But all their lives are put in danger from a copycat thief who is not as discriminating in who he robs.
This is a clean read with a slight mention of God.
I loved every minute of the layered tale of intrigue with a healthy dose of romance and a lesson in appreciation for family.

From the very beginning, I was in love with this book. I legit giggled the first time Robin was introduced. 😂 I’m a huge fan of Robin Hood retellings and Dana did a great job with this one. It was fun having it in the regency era since I’ve never read a Robin Hood retelling from that time.

Dana has a great writing style and I loved that we get most of the characters from Robin Hood in this one. It’s quite clever how they all played a role.

I absolutely loved the last quarter of the book. It was adventurous, mysterious, and swoon inducing. I was worried it would end abruptly but the last chapter was like an epilogue which helped. Buuut..I would not have minded reading a few more chapters of their story since I liked it so much.

This is a fun, fast-paced Regency retelling of Robin Hood. Lord Robert Loxley, Earl of Huntingdon, is the Elusive Earl by day and a cunning thief by night who steals from the rich and gives to the poor. He targets those who mistreat others of the Ton or their servants. Lady Marian discovers his secret and demands that he let her help. At only 18 and as the daughter of a Marquess, Marian has seen through the trappings of high society and wants to help elevate the poor (she could just do this with her own wealth, but then it wouldn’t be a Robin Hood story). She follows Rob on his nighttime adventures with his trusted valet John; and her cousin Will is also soon part of the gang. They discover a copy-cat thief who is the true villain and must be stopped. I thought the story was well written, the romance was sweet and there was a lot of page-turning adventure. Definitely check it out if you’re a fan of Robin Hood or clean Regency romance. There is some violence, but nothing too graphic.

Clean historical retelling (sort of) of the story of Robin Hood.
The reason the Robin Hood story works is that the underdog fights the oppression of a much more powerful figure and wins through cunning and wit. This story is almost the opposite as a powerful figure picks and chooses less powerful people he’s unhappy with and preys on them, stealing their belongings and peace of mind.
The 'helping of the less fortunate' kind of gets lost in all the excitement, though the romance was cute.
The ending felt like the lead in to a mafia story set in England. Robin Hood goes crime boss or something.
The plot was all over the place with social rules being listed only to be broken and ignored. Flat out using the names of beloved folklore characters but then scrambling them like eggs just drove me nuts.
Violence. No sex. Mild language.

I enjoyed this retelling of Robin Hood. Ms. LeCheminant did a great job in taking the familiar characters of this age old tale and placing them into the Regency era. Marian, Robin, Will, John, and Gisbourne are all a part of this adventurous tale.

Lady Marian Russell had a tender heart towards the poor as shown when she says, “It isn’t fair,” she said to herself, “Everyone deserved the basic comforts of life.” Getting hired as a barmaid was an ingenious way to not only find out how others lived, but also fuel her passion to help them. Marian is also observant, quick-witted, and intelligent, which makes her the perfect partner for Robin.

Robert Loxley, the Earl of Huntingdon, has experienced the disparity between “the haves” and “the have nots” and wants to do what he can to correct it. Being found out as a thief was not part of his plan. But, that is what makes this story fun as Robin adds more people to his cause.

The copycat thief that Robin and Marion must thwart adds additional depth to the plot. I like the camaraderie that is shared between them and the way the book ended. I received an advanced reader copy from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

This was an adorably written retelling of Robin Hood. Marian, bless-her-heart, wants to make a difference in the world and needs someone to show her the ropes. Enter Lord Robin Loxley who is the best part of this book :) He has some adorable one liners and an extreme amount of patience as he takes Marian under his wing.

If you’re a fan of retellings be sure to check this one out!

Happy sigh, this was just as good as I had hoped. I have been in a bit of a reading slump so this book took me longer to read, but it was still super sweet and fun. The Thief and the Noble is Dana LeCheminat’s first historical fiction and it was just a lovely book! The Noble and the Thief is a historical fiction retelling of Robin Hood, I mean how cool is that?
Marian was so fun! I loved her spunk and her kindness, she wanted to help those around her. I loved reading about Marian as she tried to figure out how to help those around her, she was a lady and she knew that she had much. However Marian was struggling to figure out how to help the less fortunate when she bumps into a thief, Robin. It was so cool to read about Marian learning more about herself and learning to stand up for those around her. Marian was an awesome character and I just loved her growth throughout the book.
Robin was a sweetheart, he was the perfect hero. He was kind, but he was also kind of standoffish. I loved his relationship with his family and with Marian. He put up this facade to those around him but he let Marian inside of his walls. Robin was a thief, and yet there was more to him than met the eye. I loved learning more about Robin and his values, he had to learn to let people into his heart and to not close himself off.
Marian and Robin were lovely together, I really enjoyed their interactions. It was a lot of fun to read about them together. I also adored Robin’s sister and Marian’s cousin Will. The side characters were lovely additions to the story. The plot was very interesting and I didn’t know what was going to happen. There were a few twists and turns and I couldn’t put the book down.
The Thief and the Noble is definitely a must read! It was just as good as LeCheminant contemporary books! I would totally recommend The Thief and the Noble! The Thief and the Noble is a clean historical fiction retelling of Robin Hood.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher through Netgalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, a positive review was not required.

A surprisingly fun Robin Hood retelling set in a proper Regency Romance. Lady Marian Russell wanting to know how people live outside of the upper class poses as a barmaid for a night. That evening she meets a mysterious man who robs from the rich to give to the poor. She discovers Lord Robert Loxley, Earl of Huntingdon is the thief and wants to join him on his adventures. But things get complicated when another bandit is also robbing. Robin (Rob) wants to catch the thief to see if his intentions are to get gain or to help others. He goes to great lengths to entrap the competing thief.

I actually had more fun with the thefts and Robs antics than with the romance itself. The elusive earl is flummoxed by Marian and yet manages to tease and provoke her. Marian is an intelligent and at times seems older than her 18 years. If you are someone that is going to be bothered by the rules of propriety that Marian should have been following, like always having a chaperone, this book will irk you. More than once she's in situations that in another novel would have her instantly ruined or wed. The author does have an explanation for the lack of oversight by her parents which works for the family but not in my mind for the society rules. Giving Marian more depth is her coming to understand her own importance to her family which she thinks isn't interested in her.

This is a clean romance with only a few kisses. A final chapter acts as a good epilogue. I'm still a little uncomfortable with the idea but of the good guys being thieves but I can put my values aside for a fun adventure. Thank you to NetGalley, Covenant Communications and the author for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this retelling of Robin Hood! It had the elements of the classic Disney version I first watched as a kid, some humor and great witty banter that I loved in the “Men in Tights” version as a teen, and the dramatic scenes I loved in the newest version with Jamie Foxx and Tarim Egerton. Dana’s version encompasses them all!

And it’s a great weekend read! But don’t let it’s small size fool you! It’s a 200 page book that reads as one much bigger! She filled it with plot, developed primary and secondary characters, and so much more! And Dana made the regency setting fit the story of Robin Hood so smoothly!

I could keep going on and on (just like my photos because I couldn’t pick just one that I loved), so instead I’ll tell you the highlights I loved.

Highlights:
🏹The Meet-Cute
🏹Rob and Marian’s banter
🏹Will - he’s not the MC but he’s a keeper!!!
🏹Punching Lessons
🏹The Library Scenes
🏹The Cheepside Scene (last couple of chapters)

Deep sigh. This was a very satisfying book. I want to go watch all those movies now!

Oh, it also reminded me of some other great #robinhood retellings by @jodyhedlund and @melaniedickerson123 if you haven’t yet read A Daring Sacrifice or The Huntress of Hornbeck Forest put those on your TBR as well. They are more role-reversals of the story, but still amazing!

The Thief and the Noble by Dana LeCheminant is a regency era fairytale retelling of Robin Hood.

When I first heard about this book I wasn’t sure what to think. I honestly didn’t know how a Robin Hood story would work with the upper class society of the regency era. But Dana LeCheminant made it work and I loved it!

I love that both Robin and Marian are members of the upper class in London that recognize just how many people are impoverished and suffering, and are determined to do something about it. And they meet while they are doing just that. I love Marian’s spirit and determination. Any other lady would not be able to keep up with Robin.

Robin *sigh* I just love him. I love that he doesn’t care what society thinks of him, he is just doing his best to make a real difference in the world around him. I love that he started his life in poverty and inherited an earldom later in life, and therefore truly understands the hardships of poverty. He’s intelligent, capable, compassionate, and confident in all the best ways. He and Marian are so great together and I loved seeing them progress from strangers to accomplices, to friends, to lovers.

Lastly I loved the villain of this story! I made a lucky guess early on and loved that the bread crumbs left throughout the story helped me be more and more sure that I knew who the villain was. I also loved that the villain was kind of hidden in plain sight. The climax wasn’t a surprise, partly because this is a retelling of a beloved story, but was still very enjoyable and kept me turning pages!

If you enjoy regency romances, fairytale retellings, gallant Robin Hood type heroes, sweet slow-burn love stories, and strong female characters, you definitely need to check out The Thief and The Noble by Dana LeCheminant!

3.5 stars. Wow, that was a wild ride and I wasn’t expecting it. I have to say it was pretty awesome though. It was really interesting and really, really hard to put down! Not to mention that plot twist towards the end that kind of stopped time for me for a bit. I was seriously not sure what to expect next.
This was such a cool, historical Robinhood retelling. I’ve not read many quite like it.

I liked the characters! Marian and Robin were both really fun and likable characters. Their adventures together were so much fun to read about. I was always on the edge of my seat wondering if they were going to get caught. There were moments I couldn’t read quick enough. As for the two together, it was fun because first they became friends and then they fell for each other. I had a really fun time with their banter! It was sweet watching them go from seeing each other as partners in crime to more, especially on Robin’s part. It was more slow-burn and I really liked that. I loved all the little nicknames Rob gave Marian. It was really cute! ;)
I feel like Enchanted by Taylor Swift is about the perfect song for them!
I loved Will and John soo much! They were such great side characters! Will’s protectiveness over Marian is literally the kind of older brother every girl wants. He was so sweet. I love the shy, quiet guys who people underestimate and then they prove themselves! I was like “SEE! He is great!!”🥰

The plot was fun and kept my attention the whole time. There was a lot of action which kept me flipping kindle pages until I was finished. And again, that one plot twist towards the end made me a little crazy for a chapter or two.😅 I was not okay. That whole chapter was a blur.
Only thing I might complain about would be I don’t know exactly how I feel about the stealing part of it. I really like their desire to help the poor but sometimes I felt like they did some of the stealing to get back at the rich people who they didn’t like.

But overall, I quite enjoyed Thief and the Noble! It was clean, fun, and really exciting. It was easy to get lost in!

This retelling, inspired by novel is SO fun! It has a bit of action, mystery, romance, jealousy, family, healing, danger, laughter, and all the other things you want in a book. Like a beautiful cover and a ball. As I've said before, all regencies should have a ball. I will definitely be adding this to my recommend to others list!

The Thief and the Noble is a Robin Hood regency retelling. I love retellings, but wasn’t sure how Robin Hood would fit with regency. The author did such a great job. I was sucked in from the first chapter and quickly turning pages throughout. I loved the mystery, action, romance, and banter.

Robin, Marian, John and Will were such a fun group of regency vigilantes. Figuring out who the copy cat thieves were added to the story to give it that extra excitement.

While I normally cringe when characters make bad choices, the author made the suspense and reasons behind their vigilante acts enjoyable, rather than uncomfortable.

I loved how the last chapter ended. It read more like an epilogue and it was done to perfection. It made me smile and love the main characters even more.

I thought this might be a sequel to the Dreams book but it is a stand alone. This is a regency spin of Robin Hood. The girl in it is 18 and she was very immature at times and would whine and pout way too much. It was still a cute story overall if you don't dwell on her whiney-ness...

This book was just so much fun! I’ve never read a Robin Hood retelling before and the unique twist on this one was a blast to read. I loved all the main characters and sufficiently hated the villains. I was on the edge of my seat during a few intense moments. I even experienced a pang of heart pain near the end for a tragedy I will not name because I hate spoilers.
While the idea of a Regency “Robin Hood” may seem a bit far fetched, it totally works in this story. I loved Rob from the very beginning. He is positively swoony and dashing and everything we love in a good hero. I loved that he gave Marian a chance, and even tried to teach her, despite his misgivings.
Marian’s character development throughout was so good. She really is so much fun! She is naïve, impetuous, head strong, and caring. I loved her big heart, even if it did lead to some rash decisions that could have had some questionable outcomes. But her growth was fantastic!
I loved the slow burn on this one. That scene where Rob is trying to teach Marian how to fight was soooo good! And picking the locks! And the ball. And basically every scene where Rob and Marian were together. All of them. So good.
William is one of my favorites and can he please get a story of his own? I loved him so much! John is so sweet. Marian’s mother is a tad ridiculous (though I also liked her trust in Marian). John’s sister is incredible.
I really enjoyed this book and can see myself enjoying a reread occasionally just because it was so fun! I smiled through the whole thing. I laughed; I cried; I experienced the gamut, and it was a great experience!

**Many thanks to the publisher for an advanced copy of the book. I voluntarily wrote this honest review, which opinion belongs only to myself.

My love for Robin Hood runs deep and decades long! It all started with a rather brave, dashing and kind fox so many years ago!🦊🏹When I heard of this Robin Hood retelling set in Regency England I knew that I needed The Thief and the Noble by Dana LeCheminant in my life! I really enjoyed this suspenseful, adventurous, mysterious, swoony, heart pounding Robin Hood re-telling set in Regency London.

Marian Russell and Robin Loxely have something in common. They both are aware of the struggles of the lower class and they want to help. When Marian stumbles into Robin’s life, a friendship and alliance begins. She finds out that he is the thief who robs the rich who mistreat servants and others and he redistributes their wealth to help the poor. She wants to join him on his endeavor as she’s determined to fix things and change the world. It is so fun watching Robin teach her his ways, and as she learns along side him their attraction and romantic tension grows! They also discover a copy cat thief is robbing the poor and the wealthy and their group is determined to stop him. Cue the suspense!😮I really enjoyed the adventure this book took me on.

Robin Loxley is intelligent, brave, and clever with a smirk that melted Marian from the start. Marian Russell is fiery and determined and strong willed and fun with a good heart! I loved the sweet heart racing moments between Robin and Marian, the near kisses, close proximity, flirty banter, and falling in love was just wonderful.

⭐️This book is filled with suspense and mystery that had me hooked.
⭐️huge plot twist that was so shocking!
⭐️such a lovely cast of characters including, John, Will, Tuck, Alana, Robin of course and a very evil villain!!!!
⭐️a favorite scene included Robin teaching her how to fight.
⭐️I thought it was so sweet and clever how everything tied together in the end.

This was a wonderful Robin Hood retelling. I loved how the author pulled in the traditional Robin Hood characters that we love. This book was so well done and clever. If you’re looking for a mysterious, intriguing, heart pounding adventure, I think you’ll love this book!

"You have a lot to learn, little thief".

The lovely Lady Marian Russell is determined to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate; not knowing exactly how, she disguises herself and literally falls into the lap of someone who can teach her . . . . . how to become a thief? Surely not! With clever intentions, this particularly elusive man steals from the rich in order to give to the poor, choosing his targets wisely, efficiently executing a more-than-mild payback for cruel injustices. When Marian inadvertently uncovers his true identity, they strike up a bargain . . . her silence for his tutelage. Let the heists begin!

There's just one little problem. Someone else has decided to play copycat, and that burglar's intentions are not the least bit noble, and more than a little bit dangerous. How long will Marian and her mentor be able to play the game, especially when the rules change . . . to include attraction, which becomes a most inconvenient distraction.

"Until the world went to sleep, she was trapped as Lady Marian, subjected to fake smiles and ambitious fortune hunters hoping to make a well-bred friend of rank."

"If you're scared, Robin had told her, you have to remember why you are doing it. Who you are doing it for."

Shades of the infamous legend of Robin Hood pervade this story at every turn, making it a most entertaining, highly romantic tale. Even when you figure out the culprit before the characters themselves catch on, the author delightfully lets you tag along, sprinkling high doses of humor and unexpected spikes of suspense through-out this clean, romantic, story.

An excellent debut into the Regency romance genre, Dana LeCheminant brings the story of Robin Hood to life a fun and engaging manner.
I really enjoyed this book. Even as a retelling, where I had some expectations of what might happen in the plot, it captured my interested and entertained me so well I could not put it down until I finished it in one sitting, even if it did cost me a little bit of sleep. I LOVED the dual POV in third person which endeared me to Marion and Robin more by allowing me insight into both of their worlds and thoughts. Robin by far was the standout character for me. To say he was the epitome of charming is an understatement. I loved his flirtatious banter with Marion and his good heart. I would add him to my book boyfriends list, he was absolutely adorable. Marion was young (18), but I l was glad that the author mentions her youth and then shows growth for her as she knows she is naïve, but wants to better the world. She’s stubborn, but willing to learn. The side characters were all a great supporting cast and I am hoping for a story for Will and Alana someday.
The way the author fit in Easter eggs from the classic including little John as the valet was impeccably done and as a fan of many different Robin Hood variations, this will definitely be at the top of my list of good ones. This is a debut for the author into this genre, I've enjoyed her contemporaries, but I am excited to see more in this genre now too.
4.5 stars I received an advance reader copy of this novel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Lady Marian discovers the Earl of Huntington’s secret life as a thief and wants to join him because she’s dissatisfied with her place in the world. He rebuffs her, but when a copycat thief begins stealing, he trains her and she helps flush him out the other thief without anyone learning their secret.

Marian’s impulsive and immature, but this wouldn’t have bothered me if she had grown over the course of the book. Her brilliant idea to prove that she can help the poor after Rob initially shuts her down is to steal ribbon from a store. How does that help the poor and oppressed? Guilt drives her to go back and pay for it, but the fact that she did it all makes it hard to like her. She rarely sees the big picture, and is always quick to anger—particularly with Rob—but is still desperate for his approval.

Rob is hardly any better. He steals to punish the misbehaving wealthy rather than to help the poor. Stealing bank notes from a man who beats his servants—and having someone else give that money away to someone else—doesn’t do anything to help the beaten servant.

The Robin Hood and Will Scarlet friendship was more interesting than his relationship with Maid Marian. Their connection seems born of her desire for danger, but I don’t know why Rob liked her. By the time Guy of Gisborne arrived, I didn’t care any more.

I picked this regency-set book hoping it’d be a clever Robin Hood retelling, but the story is all over the place and by the halfway point I was skimming to finish it.

I wasn’t quite sure what to expect by this new book by Dana LeCheminant. It wasn’t to be sucked in and completely blown away by the plot line. This book is so amazing! I loved everything about it.

Lady Marian is one of my favorite characters. She is a strong young woman. She’s just come into society and she knows that she wants to fix it. To make things better for the poorer classes in London. I loved that she thought of others, most female characters in this time period only think of their next dress, the next ball, or the next suitor. Marian was not afraid to get her hands dirty either. I also really loved the special relationship she has with her cousin, Will.

Then there’s Robin, or Rob. I love that he has kind of two lives. The one as the elusive earl. And the one as the thief. How he met Marian was one of my favorite parts. You can tell a lot about a person’s character by how they treat people serving them. And he was a great guy! As the story goes on, he’s concerned about helping Marian to achieve her goal. And if her goals are really what’s right for her.

You really need to read this one! I loved it so much!

I was sent an e-copy of The Thief and the Noble as a gift from the publisher. All opinions are my own.
