Ettie Smith Amish Mysteries #25

Amish Mishaps and Murder

Rate this book
Sleuth extraordinaire and proud octogenarian, Ettie Smith, springs back into action in book #25 of this delightful Amish mystery series, where furred friends and foul play collide in a tale that's paw-sitively gripping.
Ettie's innocent plan of bestowing her sister, Elsa-May, with an anonymous kitten gift sets off a chain of events that tumbles quickly into chaos. The poor chap who helped Ettie deliver the feline surprise is found dead not long after leaving their house.
Suddenly thrown into a murder mystery, Ettie, feeling fur-tively responsible, pledges to claw her way through the enigma and unmask the killer.
Her investigation leads her through a tangled yarn of the victim's past, revealing a litter of enemies. The question isn't who had the motive, but who was driven to pounce?
As the pressure mounts, can Ettie craft the purr-fect solution before she ends up the next victim in this whisker-thin game of cat and mouse?
On a lighter note, can she coax Elsa-May into falling in love with the new furry family member, or will Elsa-May deem the adorable kitten too much of a cat-astrophe?

If you're after a tail full of unexpected twists, a cast of quirky characters, and a good dose of feline fun, "Amish Mishaps and Murder" is the purr-fect read for you. Samantha Price delivers a clean, wholesome, and engaging page-turner that's the cat's meow of Amish mystery series!

Amish mishaps and Murder is #25 Samantha Prices’ Ettie Smith Mystery Series.
This is such a great addition to this series.
Ettie desides her sister, Elsa-May needs a kitten. The surprise gift is delivered and the friend who delivered the gift is found dead shortly after. Of course, the ladies are ask to assist in finding out information from the Amish community by Detective Kelly.
Can the ladies stay out of trouble long enough to make a decision about the kitten that has already made himself a part of the family, or will there be a bad end to this duo?
As the ladies unravel the murder, Samantha, in her, I will never tell till the book is over style, weaves a tale that only a true mystery sloth can unwind.
Don’t miss this 5-star addiction to the series. Release day is March 29, 2022. Order yours today.

Review
As usual you have your mishaps and murder in this book, but the main plot is not what you usually would think of. Elsa-May and Ettie have always been in disagreement in most things and in this book it is no different. However, their disagreement is of a different nature. Right to the end you wonder what will happen. They finally agree at the end and you must read the book to see what they finally agree on. I am on Samantha's ARC team and enjoy doing these reviews.

This was the first book of this series that I read, and now I’m hooked! I didn’t feel lost or confused with the characters which shows the strength of Samantha Price’s writing. The sisters were funny and charming through their antics. The mystery had me guessing and was very well done. I’m excited that I now have a new series to read!

I received this review copy from the author.

The ladies are both at it again. This story had me laughing so hard that I was crying in places!! 😂
Ettie & Elsa-Mae are the best two sisters that either find a problem or the problem finds them.
This time Det. Kelly comes to them for their help and boy do they give him help. These two and their shenanigans on finding things out, are hilariously funny.
We get to meet our kitten in this story, if you follow Samantha's FB Page, that she held a contest for the name. Truly, the kitten is what starts all the mayhem for the two ladies and gets them involve in their newest murder mystery.
You won't be able to stop, once you start, because these two keep you laughing and going with their funny ideas of doing things.
I loved this book alot and was so glad I was home reading it, since I was busting out loud laughing at most of it😂
Grab your copy from any of the retailers, like Amazon, and you won't be disappointed in any way!!

**I received an ARC from the Author & these are all my own opinions**

Two sisters, who are so adorable, grace the pages of this cute book by Samantha Price.  I just loved Ettie and Elsa-May.  They are Amish sisters who solve mysteries and crimes in their small community.

This is Book # 25.  I am new to this series.  This can be a stand alone book but it would have been handy if I had read an earlier book.

I was surprised how involved they got in the investigation.  Detective Kelly was so patient and kind to them.  He constantly warned them to stay out of the investigation.  Be safe.  But he also seemed to encourage them as they did supply him with numerous clues.

I enjoyed the book and the characters.  The sisters were adorable.  Their love for each other shone through.  How lucky that they had each other!  Snowy the dog and the sweet kitten were lucky, too!

I received this ARC copy of this  book to review from the author, Samantha Price.

absolutely love this series by
Samantha Price.
I love the way Samantha weaves the Amish sisters detective stories together so wonderfully.
It really is like a tapestry that grows as I read the book.

Ettie Smith is the eldest of these two bickering sisters who live together.
iElsa Mae is the youngest of the two,
likes to knit & is a softy .
gElsa Mae has a kitten delivered, much to Etties annoyance.

Who would have thought a ginger ball of fluff would lead to another wonderful story about b
Our wonderful lady detectives

The book is priceless, I laugh , cry and read the Amish detectives series again....

This is book 25 of this awesome series.
Please consider reading all the books.
They really are a wonderful clean read.

I gave this 4.5 stars and would like to thank the author Samantha Price for my advanced copy in return for an honest review. I fell in love with the main characters. They are so delightful and so very easy to read about. I love how the story kept moving along and how it had me laughing out loud to cringing on occasion. I am sure lovers of the Ettie Smith books will love this one and for those who have never read her you are in for a treat as Ettie together with her sister Elsa May help the police solve this very cozy whodunnit. I highly recommend to fans of Samantha Price and for those who wish to be introduced to her writing and her characters. Once again I should very much like to thank Samantha Price for my ARC copy and promise that this review is my own opinions.

If you read the description that Samantha Price uses to introduce this book, you will get an idea of the skill used to write this outstanding addition to the Ettie Smith Amish Mysteries series.

The cats add additional interest to this book and is a mystery of its own, as these ladies help figure out who murdered their friend.

Because the Amish community will reveal details more easily to one of their own, Ettie and Elsa-May (two old sisters) help the town detective figure out who committed the murder. Will you figure out who did it? If you are like me, you won't want to put it down until you find out. Again, this story is skillfully woven together in a way that may surprise you.

I highly recommend all of this series, which is best read in order.

Ettie and Elsa solve another murder

Once again Ettie and Elsa Mae's sisterly dynamics had me laughing at times, fearing for them and cheering when they helped solve the murder. As usual my head was spinning as I went back and forth over who committed the murder. There was another contentious issue with the sisters which involved a kitten and whether he would be joining the family or not. One sister wanted him to the other didn't. In the end they both want him to stay. I loved how they chose a name for him. I love this series and can't wait to read the next book.

Mystery Until The End

In the usual fashion of these mystery book series, it kept you guessing until the very end just who the murderer is and what was his motive! It was fast moving with twist and turns convincing you that you had figured it out and then realizing you didn’t!
