This is Book 2 of a 4-part completed series called, “The Love Series." Be sure to read ‘The Love Series’ in full ♥️:Book 1: A Love Like This, Part 1Book 3: A Love of my OwnBook 4: A Collection of Love Poems
What could’ve been one AMAZING book ended up being two subpar books filled with fluff and nothingness! In book two we got so much unnecessary drama with no purpose. Why was Jarod still a factor. That whole side story wasn’t needed AT ALL! I get the whole conflict with Candace but again I don’t see what that added to the overall story.
Book two was a collection of events and did not tell a real story or show the progression of the characters. I’m honestly not even sure what the authors intended purpose was to begin with. Was the story meant to showcase the highs and lows of marriage? I’m so confused. If you enjoyed the series let me know, maybe it’s just me.
I’m glad I used my daddy’s audible credits and not mines because I’d be hella pissed right now! J.Shani Michaels and Jakobi saved the series because had I read it i more than likely would’ve DNFd it. There was some potential here however it didn’t meet any expectations I had. Sadly I say pass on this one.
As I stated at the end of book 1, this should not have been a series. There’s just not enough going on to require more than one book. This had the potential to be very entertaining however the lack of substance showed.
Ok, I liked more parts of this book than I didn’t like. I feel like so many parts in this book were fillers. Usually that that’s annoying but this story was so good I didn’t really want it to end. That said, I hated that Sky was for Westley. I know it happened before he got with Serenity and it was kept from him. But he handled Candice with kid gloves the entire book. Of all the characters in this book I loved Maya most because she had the most courage. She told Westley absolutely right when she said he was the reason Candice felt comfortable behaving like she was because of him not handling things properly. I hated how he was so excited to be a father before he got the results back. Poor Renny already had a rough relationship with Tony and then the first year of her marriage was just as rough. I’d say she was a strong character but to me she was her strongest before Wesley when she was independent and more confident in herself. She was simply a forgiving and just allowed anything from her husband and from Julien. Whatever happened to Sean? At one point the book made it seem like Candice was up to something. I was waiting for the moment she was found out about something.
I’m disappointed with “A Love Like This, Pt.2 (The Love Series)…this book was frustrating & annoying to read. I expected either more or at least a different approach to existing characters already presented from the cliffhanger of “the love series” pt. 1. Rather, pt.2 read like a standalone or a characters update which could have been condensed into a novella as opposed to a continuation of “A Love Like This” book 1/pt.1. Furthermore, in thirty-five chapters of random content both nemesis to Wesley & Serenity just moved on unscathed. REALLY!..WTH?..WHY? …Consequently, both Candice & Julian occupied entirely too much time, energy and chapters in both books. Most of the chapters weren’t germane to Wesley/Serenity and or Amaya/Darren’s storyline. …thirty-five chapters of unnecessary “love series” fillers. 🤨🤦🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️‼️…I’m reluctant to read pt. 3!
I really loved the way part 2 flowed so smoothly from part 1. But Giiiirrrrlll the drama!
Uh so many ups and downs, but I loved it because I could relate in so many ways. Wesley and Serenity are DEF meant for each other and nothing I mean NOTHING is going to come in between them. I loved their love and commitment to fight for each other.
All of the friends and family members were so fun to read. And the villains really made me want to THROW HANDS!!!
Stories like this are so good to me because they feel like stories I've either experienced or stories I know someone close to me has experienced. SO so good! Can't wait for part #3!
I'm in a book chat with the author and to hear her thoughts behind certain choices she made has been a TREAT!
I read the first book and had to read this page turner to find out how things turned out. I love the way the author dealt with relationships. She showed no matter how much you love a person things will happen. I really think she did a great job showing couples how important it is to communicate and if you don't handle issues the issues will handle you.
I think every couple she read these books and see how communication, lies and manipulation can either make you or break you.
Book 2 This was a perfect wrap up for Wesley and Serenity’s love story. Even though I’m hoping there will be more of their story to come … in future books in it his series, this at least tied up some loose ends from book 1….especially Julius and Candis ( although I’m still giving Candis the side eye😒)😂😂.
I’m looking forward to reading Maya and D’s story, I’m sure it’s going to be interesting This is an enjoyable read. Just make sure you read book one first. These two books would make a wonderful Netflix movie/series 😊IJS ❤️❤️
This book was a waste of my time reading, it ended so poorly I don’t even want to read the third book in the series. What was the purpose of this book? I think we only had glimpses of SJ and Wesley actually being happy, I’m so mad I don’t even want to see Julian happy or read about him moving on after he put this couple through so much and got off with a little warning. Why end that way and expect me to read the third book in the series. Giving this book back to Kindle, too bad I can’t get my time back on a wasted book that did nothing but cause me and the main characters stress.
Being in a relationship that leads to marriage is not always 🌞. There will be some dark days but the true test is being able to communicate with each other when they come. After a terrible breakup, Serenity took time to work on herself. Wesley was fresh off a breakup when he met Serenity. They had a few ups and downs but ended up with a happily ever after. Loved this series.😍
Serenity and Wesley are newly weds and instead of just enjoying the honeymoon stage of things they life is complicated by possible outside baby, men stepping out the boundary line, trouble between the two of them and so much more making you wonder if they will sink of swim. It was good to see more of D and Amaya and the path their relationship was taking
Serenity was on my nerves from the first to the last page!!! I liked the read but it wasn’t as engaging as the first book. In this one, some of the details felt prolonged, I.e. it seems out of character for Serenity to put herself in a certain situation, withhold details when in the first book she established a hard boundary on that type of behavior. Overall it was nice to put a ‘bow’ on the end of Serenity and Wesley’s love story
I enjoyed book 2 a good deal more than the first of the series, which was a bit slow at least up to about midway through. This one had more depth and really drew me into the story. Wes & Renny where dealt some serious blows within their first year of marriage, but they remained committed to supporting one another with the help of good friends.
I enjoyed this series. I thought the trope was a cute one..teenage fantasy comes true lol. But then things got real…quickly! The reality of marriage is you never know what loving through it all really means until your tested and this couple was tested straight out the gate! Glad they got they HEA along with Maya and D too.
They had to overcome many challenges to realize they had a love worth fighting for! They are each other’s forever love! A tragedy almost tore them apart, but the love they have for each other kept them together! Marriage is not easy, but if you truly love that person and can’t live without them, it is worth fighting for to stay together! A great read!
Favorite characters were Maya and D. Why? Because even with the limited time we saw them, I felt their love. Wesley and Serenity always felt like good friends to me. I often wondered the same thing, where does she fit in. But it was a good story. Definitely more heat, just not enough to convince me of their great love. I felt bad for her the entire book.
When The Facts Are Out You Have To figure Out How To Make It Work!!
Kya, good read. How I love Wesley and Serenity journey. They went through some challenges that seasoned couples may not get through. I love how Wesley grew as well as Serenity showed how she wasn't perfect and she made mistakes as well and owned up to her faults. This was just good for me. 🤗🤗🤗🤗
This was a really good series. Serenity and Wesley definitely had a lot thrown their way through this first year of marriage. All the trials and tribulations made their love that much stronger. Excellent well written story.
Through all the ups and downs and lots of drama, Serenity and Wesley made it! I loved their love together! Amaya and Darren were a great match as well. I really enjoyed reading this story!
It was a good story of marriage with its ups and downs . It let you see you can work through anything together if you really work at it . Loved that beat down. It was long overdue .
I truly enjoyed Serenity and Wesley’s story, so sweet and just the right amount of drama. Very well written, this was my first time reading something from this author, glad I came across her work!!!
I am so happy that they found love with each other. Getting threw the easy as well as the hard parts of the relationship. I am wanting to know more about Sr. And his love life. As well as D. And Maya
I loved the story. I enjoyed watching them navigate through their challenges. I also appreciated the author showing a man willing to wait and a woman knowing she is worth waiting for
The ups and downs of love and marriage are displayed in this book. It shows that’s it’s not always roses but the thorns doesn’t matter as long as you stay true to the love you have for each other. I loved it.
DNF: I can't finish this damn book. It already seemed so unnecessary as the first book could've ended just fine without the surprise pregnancy, but to only write a follow-up filled with filler nonsense is just pointless!
I did not expect this to be as heavy as it was. They had me tearing up in here. It was worth continuing for sure. Will I continue the series? Maybe. I wanted that man’s story at the end of the first book, but now I’m not so sure. Still, this is enough for me to look into other works by the author.
for a moment there I wasn't sure if these two would get their happily ever after. It felt like it was one thing after another. I am so happy that Wesley & Serenity love weathered the storm. I do feel like this could've been one book. because I was a part of the characters and the narrators, I pushed through listening to part 2. For a moment there I thought there would be more of a plot twist between Candace & Sean but that didn't happen.
A good read. The substance was much the same as in the first story. I did not learn anything new. The connection between the leads was slight. See what you think.
I’m so glad that Wesley put all the women aside and concentrated on serenity and their marriage to make things better. A good ending. Thank You to the author
