Fire Banshee #3

Banshee Blood

Rate this book
When the ones you’re meant to protect turn on you, what do you do?

I’m a Hunter. I’m also a banshee. My mission is to protect mortals from the evils they think only exist in stories.

Things were going well until a mortal in the US government stumbled upon a rogue banshee and discovered who and what we are. The rogue got away, but not before the mortal came up with a diabolical plan.

With the goal of securing world domination by using banshee blood to create immortal soldiers, he formed a secret government agency whose sole purpose is to capture more banshees to use in their terrifying experiments.

Of course, this so-called Immortal Surveillance Bureau wants to use my blood for their special serum. Now my clan and I, along with our fierce and massive shifter friend, will have to fight mortals… instead of saving them.

I’ve been a magnet for power-hungry crazies most of my life, but this time it could lead to a new world order. If we can’t stop these super soldiers, no one—mortal or banshee—will be safe.

*If you love thrilling and sexy urban fantasy, with a strong female lead, action, humor, and romance, this one’s for you. Banshee Blood is book 3 in the Fire Banshee series. It's recommended for 18+ due to language and sexual situations.

Kimberly Quay has loved romance & fantasy as far back as she can remember. Her childhood home was full of fantasy, romance, and thrillers books and movies. Born and raised in Florida, she spent most of her youth outside searching for fairies and hoping to meet (and fall in love with) a vampire.

Author of contemporary romance, paranormal shifter romance, and urban fantasy, she’s a sucker for a good rom-com and is fascinated by old graveyards. When she’s not working on her next novel, she’s reading or hiking the trails of North Florida.

Kimberly still loves reading. Especially Nora Roberts and Kim Harrison.

The story grabs you from the opening, and we pick up quickly who are the main characters. Follow an adventure as a clan of banshees seeking to protect humans, cross paths with human who is seeking to annihilate them.

I absolutely loved this book! I’ve enjoyed the whole series ever since I stumbled across it on Instagram and I now look forward to each new book coming out. This one certainly doesn’t disappoint.

Banshee Blood is the third in the Fire Banshee series and again it continues the story of Kadi. What I particularly enjoyed about this book was the ongoing romance between Kadi and Ian. I’m delighted that the author hasn’t done that ‘on again off again’ thing that so many authors do.

And I loved how Rufus’ character developed throughout this book. Honestly? This book is great!

Loved it! I read the first 2 books as well and really enjoyed them all. The story in Banshee Blood continues where book 2 left off, though it is a few months later. I really enjoyed learning more about banshees and their way of life. The settings and characters were well-described and easily envisioned. As always with this series, the action doesn't disappoint and keeps the pages turning.
If you like fantasy with lots of action mixed with romance, I highly recommend this series!

Kimberly Quay’s third book was a blazing hot read! I absolutely love her writing. The story is a fast paced page turner. What I love most is that each book has it’s own adventure (which is fresh and new) while keeping an underlying theme throughout the series so you feel invested and a part of the tribe. The characters are exactly the kind of people I would find my self hanging out with. I wonder if clan MacBeaghne has room for one more member?

This story was pretty good, but I had to start skipping all of the descriptions about who was wearing what, who was standing / sitting next to whom, who was doing what and so on just to find the plot in there somewhere. The plot was OK; but it was kind of hard to keep focusing on it with all of the other descriptive stuff going on everywhere. I think maybe if more focus was put on the plot and action between the good guys and bad guys, it might have kept my attention better. All in all, if you like stories that are very detailed, then this is for you!

It was honestly pretty okay , i liked the descriptions of a few details like what some people were wearing so that i could visualise it , but it was hard to focus on the actual plot and action.
