After Dark is the first novel I've read by Bette Ford...and I picked it up at a yard sale...it's a PLEASANT enough read...Donald Williams is quite charming and definitely ALL male...LOL...at times I like Taylor and other times she is a little annoying...I like the fact that the heroine is a full-figured woman who captures the attention of a SEXY-AS-ALL-GET-OUT basketball star...the dialogue is a bit repetitive at times...I got tired of reading the same thing over and over...but the romance and the intimate encounters are sexy and SENSUAL...I wonder if she wrote a follow-up with Scott and Jenna...I'll have to check on that...Happy Reading :-)
Taylor thought she knew everything about the kind of man Donald was without giving him a chance. She was so wrong and I'm glad she finally was able to see that or she would have missed out on a good, strong and honest man.
I thought it was good. Taylor had a cute innocence and vulnerability about her. Donald was your successful pro athlete who actually had to work for a woman for once in his life since Taylor was not turned on by all the glitz and glamor. I thought all the negativity about Alex going pro was a bit unnecessary, but oh well.
I would have given this 4 stars but this book has the most typos that I have ever seen in a digital book. There had to be a typo on every 2-3 pages. Someone really needs to edit this book and re-upload it. I really don't see how these were missed.
I bought this for m Nook by mistake. I thought that Bette Ford had finally published a new books and I jumped to buy it. I had like this book the 1st time I read it and decide to read it again. I still enjoyed it the 2nd time around.
