Daniel Harper and Zoya Thomas prove that sometimes there’s a love that’s simply Unforgettable, in Ann Christopher’s latest novel. I have been waiting on these two’s story for what seems like forever and so I was very excited when I saw this book was now available.
Daniel and Zoya were college sweethearts but hadn’t seen each other in fourteen years until Daniel, deemed the prodigal son, returns home. Returning to the small town of Journey’s End isn’t something that Daniel is doing with much enthusiasm. He ran away from home to not only escape his never pleased father and Zoya but demons that he hasn’t quite been ready to acknowledge.
The chemistry between Daniel and Zoya was off the charts. The heat, hate, and anguish between them were so palpable that I felt their emotions clear as day. While we knew that reconciliation was inevitable, I liked that it was a slow build. We clearly saw them struggle with their emotion, confront the past, and go on the journey to not repairing what was lost but trying to start anew. While readers may think we knew why they broke up, in the beginning, it’s not what it seems and once we dig deeper we are reminded how a lack of communication can destroy a relationship.
There are no complaints from me after reading this book. A sucker for a nuanced second chance romance, Unforgettable is definitely my favorite from this series thus far.
I cannot wait for the other love stories that will take place in Journey’s End. Isaac! Baptiste! Sean! I thought we may leaving the Harper family soon since Isaac was the last brother left single but I have been proven wrong .With the emergence of new characters in this book that we’re in for quite a treat.
From the beginning I realize there is something in Daniel and Zoya's story we don't know yet. Something happened 13years ago and Daniel left town without saying goodbye. Now he's back for his brothers wedding and as much as she tries to avoid him he is relentless in his pursuit of her.
Daniel has come home to run his families vineyard . His father recently had a heart attack and needs to cut back on his time spent running the family businesses. Daniel's father has always been critical and has never given him any praise or credit for his accomplishments. They have a lot of issues and no communication.
Daniel and Soya are still in love but both have issues caused by the way they left things when he left. Neither can understand the others point of view. It doesn't help that they are also dealing with things going on in their families.I loved Daniel and Soya and felt their frustration dealing with their attempt at reconciliation. Other supporting characters are very interesting and added a lot to the story. I enjoyed reading this and believe other stories in this series will also be entertaining.
Zoya and Daniel were lovers in college, but something went very wrong in their relationship (it's a spoiler). He left to join the Air Force and Zoya now runs a small shop in the town on the Hudson River that they grew up in.
After leaving the Air Force, Daniel moved to California and became the manager of a winery there. Now he's back in town to stay because his father, who owns a winery and restaurant, has had a heart attack and needs Daniel to take over managing the winery. Zoya refers to Daniel and his father as WW3 and WW4, since they argue about everything.
Zoya and Daniel are still attracted to each other and, in fact, they're still in love. But, each one thinks the other did him/her wrong and carries a huge grudge over the issue that tore them apart, so a lot of their time together is spent spatting. There's a major breakthrough when the finally talk about "it" and, of course, we have a HEA.
I liked the book and the ancillary characters, but was frustrated by not knowing what drove them apart until about half-way through the book.
So happy to be back in Journey's End with those sexy Harper brothers! Finally, it's Zoya and Daniel's turn. And they didn't disappoint. Loved these two. They had definitely been through the fire, but clearly were meant to be.
I was not a Griffin Lowe fan, but after seeing more of him in this book, I'm...intrigued. Would love to see him redeemed and in love with a good woman.
And Sean Baldwin! He's grown up nicely, although I was sad and a little disappointed that he and Mike don't appear to have reconciled. Eagerly looking forward to whatever is in store for him.
You already know I'm excited about Isaiah and Alyssa. These two should definitely make for an interesting story.
TOTALLY enjoying the romantic treats from Journey's End...these Harper men and their circle of family/friends are quite a entertaining and COLORFUL cast...Zoya and Daniel's...I was CAUGHT UP in the sudden reconnection of this couple...watching them navigate through the hurt and pain...struggling to let go and rebuild the love they still had buried deep in their hearts...this was a SEXY and sizzling read...and ENJOYED watching them figure out what everyone around them already knew...despite what happened in the past they were meant to be together...looking forward to the next journey w/this family and their friends!
Funny what miscommunication and misunderstandings can do to relationships!
It took a while before I knew the culprit of what drove Daniel and Zoya apart and when it came to light it was clear that they had several wrong conversations in their heads just not with each other. Something struck me off the bat these two had sexual chemistry up the ying yang! I was so glad when they were forced to really talk to each other rather than just falling in bed together. Each of these Harper men got their acts together and settled down with the women of their hearts. Another great story and I am stoked to read Isaiah and Alyssa's story!!!!!! Great, great, great, great!!!!!!!!!
I love finding new to me authors! I liked Unforgettable so much I went out and bought the rest of Journey's End novels. And a few others as well.:) Unforgettable was funny, touching, romantic, sexy and heart warming. I'm a sucker for series so this was right up my alley. The glimpses we got of the other brothers in Daniel's family were intriguing enough to make me want their stories too. I really enjoyed both Daniel and Zoya. It was also interesting to me that Zoya was a cellist. All around good novel. Can't wait to read more of Journey's End stories.
I received this book (ARC) and here's what I thought about it. It was such a cute story. The author captured my attention right away. I love the details provided in the book. Which allowed for me to have a visual of the story. I also thought it was unique to have links to the songs in the book which allowed you to hear the songs. That was pretty awesome. And I enjoyed the humor in the story as well from the kids to the adults. Nice writing by the author.
I have all of Ann Christopher books except for 4. Unforgettable is truly awesome. Zoya and Daniel's story is about a second chance love. A.C. gets it perfectly right every time. My emotions were all over the place as I read this book. I laughed, cried, fussed and cheered them on. It is true romance at it's best!💓 The characters are so relatable. Great storytelling! Checkout her books!👏👏💓
What an emotional, wonderful and exciting story. The best one yet from the, "Journey's End" series. The scene with characters Daniel and Zoya discussing the reason the relationship stalled for 14 years was very moving. The scene with Daniel and his father discussing the past was equally as heartwarming.
I am very happy that I was introduced to this author while reading, "Hopewell General". I have been amused by the books she has written.
Daniel has recently returned home to take over overseeing the family viticulture business. When he left 12 years ago he left his girlfriend of two years without any explanation. Zoya, his ex has a business of her own. There are bad feelings on both sides. They are still very attracted to one another, they lose control of their attraction at Daniel’s brother’s wedding. They don’t want that to happen again so try hard to fight their lust. Well written, kept my interest till the end.
Zoya knew her life had changed again when heard Daniel Harper was coming to town. However she thought it was not going to happen on her best friend's wedding day. Daniel had done his best but knew his next breath had tob in Zoyas presence. He knew he needed her even if she didn't want him. Read how these two discover something that they had been lying about. Great read
I am an avid reader about 3 to 4 books a week depending on the length. It has been a while since I have left a review. I loved this book, the characters are multi- dimensional, real. Loved the relationship between Zoya and Daniel. I loved the ending so much I'm going to go back and read all the other books.
I'm still in Daniel Harper an Zoya Thomas World. Fast paced, realistic page turner. The prodigal Son returns upon his controlling father's request. After 14 years of unfinished business in this small town near New York City, Daniel returns to the one Woman that measured up to all the others Zoya. Great 24 read.
When a book is part of a series I don't review until last book is read. This series is not finished so I will save my recommendation until then but I have enjoyed what I've read so far
Each HEA gets better & better. Love the way you weave the characters into each story. I feel like I’m right there in Journeys End seeing the Hudson rush by. Highly recommend. Good read!
I enjoyed reading about Daniel and Zoya! There was so much hanging between them when Daniel left! Funny how the same thing happened to2 brothers with totally different outcomes! I do believe people will enjoy reading this book! I definitely recommend it!
Daniel = 😩🥵🔥 really hot Book = real, heartfelt, and cute
It was a great book, with great characters, and realistic elements. I also wouldn’t mind being in a house with the whole Harper gang (+Baptiste and Sean🙄)
This was a good read, buy there were some parts where u wanted to smack Daniel and Zoya. Once I found out the reason for the separation, I had a little more compassion.
How do you get over your first love? Do you ever get over your true love? Even after devastating circumstances? Can you find your way back? #cillasbookmaniacs
Very lovely story about getting second chances. The chemistry between the two main characters was wonderful. Enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more by Ann Christopher.
I don’t know what everyone else is reading but this is 1 star for me. At first I did enjoy the book, it was funny, quick. But also disrespectful and crude. I just don’t like Zoya. Because what she did is not only unforgettable but also very unforgivable and can’t be undone. I understand why he left. She was disgusting and selfish. Didn’t even give him some time to get used to it.
