Wall Street Journal and USA Today Best Sell L. Wilder brings you a new addition to the Ruthless Sinner series. Jagger will show readers just how hard it is to resist a bad boy with a good heart.
He hadn’t meant to let her in.
She was just supposed to be his ticket out... But she became so much more.
After four long years, Jagger was finally being released from prison. And there was only one thing on his mind—Sophia Grace.
This is a short novela. 92 pages is what it says. We've heard talk about Jagger and how he's doing time in jail for accidentally killing his sister's boyfriend. Last time someone visited with him they suggested he try the therapy they off for an extra chance of getting prole. This is about Jagger and his therapist, Sophie and his ex and the brotherhood. It's told around Christmas. Now how to figure what dirty Christmas gifts to buy ...lol
Jagger's Choice is book seven in the Ruthless Sinners MC Series. This novella was originally published in A Very Naughty MC Christmas Anthology. If you've been following the series Jagger has made appearances in the last few books. The story was original, short and sweet, festive, funny and an overall feel good story. Jaggers been through a lot the last several years so it was nice to see some good happen for him, he deserved it and his happily ever after.
Short, sweet read, finding that perfect person — in the most unlikely of places. There is some OW issues with Sadie who is unable to reconcile to Jagger and Sophie being together, despite having another man’s child.

Jagger meets his love in Dr Sophia, his therapist in jail. They are perfect for each other. This was a beautiful holiday novella. I couldn’t put this book down. Jagger deserved his HEA especially with a strong woman as Sophia
Descent story & read the entire series Reviewing the whole series here As a whole there are so many CONTINUITY issues with all books in series . Like the author fails to research certain things like going fishing in a pond in Kentucky and they catch BREEM?. which is sea & fresh river water fish indigenous to the Mediterranean not a INLAND POND in Kentucky with no outlet or tributary connection to sea or rivers .. and there are other inaccuracies, contradictory parts in storyline, the author forgets the story she just told then alters how things went down like for example in one book #7 I think.. one MFC is in witness protection name is Parker and uses fake name Aubrey so a couple of the guys fake Parker’s death, and legitimatize Aubrey’s new identity and in book 8 the author has the characters and the MMC calling her PARKER. Even though only a few of the MCclub know the truth of her identity and the females in book 8 are calling her Parker instead of Aubrey yet they only know her as Aubrey they don’t even know who Parker is except that they saw some random news story of a “Parker” committed suicide no one recognizes Aubrey as Parker cause she is older and looks completely different that the news story image so why are they calling her “Parker”. See it’s stuff like this that the author does is UNBELIEVABLY ANNOYING! And it’s obvious the author can’t remember her own storylines for the 1-4th chapters to near the end of book 19-25 chapters let alone the previous book! She forgets the story she just told. And gets it all wrong in the next book. Sad. This series has potential to be really good. But falls short in consistency! The author desperately needs a good alpha reader to catch inaccuracies & continuity issues! I would volunteer myself but I’m already alpha & beta reading for several other authors, and I get the distinct feeling I’d be overwhelmed by this authors constant continuity issues, in fact the other consistency is her inability to be consistent!
Do not read below this, if you don’t like emotional triggers
the last book in this series has rape triggers and no closure One of the dancers at stilettos is raped and badly beaten, another girl is also beaten and the bartender is nearly killed in a purposeful “accident” caused by one of the many the MC’s enemies ….. and the author has 2 mentions of the attacks in the whole book and never mentions the victims ever again. It is like the author forgot about the 3 women. They go to the hospital and they are never mentioned ever again .. yes the bad guys are caught in the end justice is made (won’t tell you how). But none of the MC clubs ol’ ladies .. ever go to visit the 3 women in hospital no flowers no nothing! It’s like no one cares these 3 women were attacked the guys are soooo angry “THEIR GIRLS” were attacked hurt they don’t help them other then get them to hospital and then they are abandoned like no responsibility whatsoever! It’s sick. These guys in ruthless sinner’s are supposed to be caring loyal & protective of all their women (even their dancers) and yet these 3 women are completely abandoned and while the MC guys got the bad guys in the end .. the 3 women were never mentioned ever again and this is the last final book # 9 Also the rapist kidnapped one of the wives and had her for a couple days. And they raped and beat two girls but not the wife? Hmmm? Nope not buying it. Bad outcome. Not so great writing this series could have been great, if it was well written. I cared about the characters I cared about the story. But the author failed to live up to her own hype!
Sophie is Jagger's counselor in prison to help him with his anger management issues. She gets the parole board to entertain him for parole and he is beyond hopeful. After his assessment, he finds himself moving on with his life. Sophie knows that Jagger flirted with her and finds herself wondering what is going on in his life. He shows up at her door and demands that she take a ride with him. So begins their "real" world relationship. She is anxious because she feels that they are breaking a rule. Jagger is quick to point out that she is no longer his therapist. Their relationship seems to be going smoothly, but Sadie, his former girlfriend, decides to try and get Jagger back. It was kind of ridiculous, especially in light of her current circumstances) and I wasn't sure it was even necessary for the storyline to have brought it up at all. Their story was short but I didn't feel like I got shortchanged at all.
Jagger’s Choice is the seventh book in The Ruthless Sinners MC series, it’s a fantastic short read and look into Jagger’s life. It was previously part of A Very Naughty MC Christmas anthology. We met Jagger, officially in Menaces book and learned a little of his back story then but it was great to get to see his story and how it unfolded to his hea. Jagger’s a good guy who got caught up in a mess. When Jagger received a call for help from his sister he didn’t hesitate to go to her, that decision landed him in jail. Sophie Grace is assigned to Jagger as his anger management specialist and while she tried to keep things professional, there’s just something about him that drew her to Jagger. When he’s released and he’s no longer her patient will they give their relationship a shot or will someone from the past ruin it all? I just love this story! I read it the first time in the anthology and had to grab it and read it again once it released on it own. Thank you Ms. Wilder for another amazing read! Looking forward to the next!!
L. Wilder brings all her signature personal touches for a raw well deserved happily ever after in the novella Jagger's Choice!
Ruthless Sinner Dalton "Jagger" Hughes had more than his fair share of hard luck. With a hot temper and big heart he paid a price that landed him in prison. With the help of Sophie Grace he was given a second chance at living the life he was meant to have, the problem, the questionable lines that became blurred in his relationship with Sophie. With no shortage of action and steam Ms. Wilder did a great job of working through Jagger and Sophie's moral dilemma.
For the perfect edgy holiday treat hit the road with the Ruthless Sinners and grab a copy of Jagger's Choice!
*I was given an advanced copy. All opinions expressed are my own. * *While part of a series this book can be read as a stand alone.*
This was a very short book. To be honest, I wasn't really looking forward to reading it just finishing Country's story and how I didn't like that book at all. That being said I really enjoyed Jagger & Sophie's relationship and I really liked all the guys in this book as well. Jagger was in jail for murdering his sister's boyfriend after Jagger gets a call from his sister after the boyfriend assaults her. Sophie was hired to be Jagger's therapist for getting his anger under control and for helping him pass his patrol. It had romance, club business and humor. The dirty Santa party was hilarious. Plus this book sets you up for Viper's story which I'm looking forward to reading.
After completing his three-year sentence for accidently killing his sister’s boyfriend, Dalton ‘Jagger’ Hughes is ready to get on with his life and he’d like to do that with his prison therapist, Sophia Grace. But pieces of Jagger’s past would rather turn back the hands of time.
Clearly this reader had a different outing than most of the other reviewers, there are no words to describe how ridiculous the women were in the read I had, mine also had a soft abrupt ending and the end seemed quite rushed and eventually killed brain cells and burned eyeballs. Rating:1.75stars
Jagger’s story has been one that I have been waiting for. L. Wilder did a great job with this short story giving us the background on what happened to Jagger and why he went to jail. He and Claire were perfect for each other. She is just what he needed to get back on track after being released from prison. A great short story featuring the men of the Ruthless Sinners and their wom
Before Jagger's life was turned upside he didn't seem happy in his current relationship. Making the decision to end it due to his current situation was the best thighs could've done. Sophia came into his life to help him better control his anger was the best thing that happened to him. I loved seeing these two form a relationship and their banter was cute. I love this series and can't wait to see more of them in the future.
I'm truly happy that Dalton found his person. Sophie is perfect for him. I didn't really like Sadie for him when she would talk about him in other stories. She is selfish and needs to remember that Dalton is a person with feelings too and he did what he did for her.
Dalton and Sophie make my heart happy. They complement one another and their love seems much more genuine. I was truly happy to read about their story.
He's never had it easy, but when he gets a call from his sister, his world changed completely. His anger management shrink in prison might have just turned his life around. But when someone from his past shows up unexpectedly, will it destroy their budding relationship? Excellent Christmas story. HEA.
Jagger's story has been a long time coming! We've gotten glimpses of him throughout the series as his brothers visit or talk to him but to finally get to understand him through his story... Wow! I love his confidence in what he wants and how he goes after it, and how his bonds with his brothers never wavers even after years away!
If you are a fan of this series, you know you need to read this!
This one is a quick read as the story moves along nicely and the pages turn themselves. I was happy to see this HEA for them, and look forward to reading the next one.
I strongly recommend reading this book in the correct reading order.
WOW WOW WOW!!! I loved Jagger's story and I wanted to keep reading. Such a great but short story about going for what you want even after you thought your life was completely changed. I love these characters and author so much, definitely one of my favorites. Highly recommended!!!
This story was slow to begin with, but became increasingly enticing to the point where I could not put it down. I feel like the ending was incomplete, I wanted- for lack of a better word- more. I wanted to know more than what I was told; it came to a point where I just couldn't put this book down. Over all, this novel deserves a high rating because it was deliciously good.
I'd never read this author before and decided to purchase a novella to get an idea of how she writes and was glad I only spent a dollar...the story was flat with a cloudy background and boring circumstances. Just Duh, I wound up skimming the last few pages, not worth the read.
Jagger has been released from prison and moving forward with his life. Now he is able to pursue his old therapist Sophie. The chemistry between them was intense during their sessions. Now he needs to know if it was real. WhT a way to spend his first Christmas back at home.
Oh my goodness!! Jagger!!!! If anybody deserves a second chance, he does! I don’t want to say too much because I don’t know where you are up to in this series and I don’t do spoilers. But if you have read the previous books, you know where Jagger has been. A meeting with Sophie may just be what Jagger needs!!
In Jagger’s Choice we learn the reason why Jagger was in jail. During his anger management sessions he falls for his counselor, when he is released from jail he meets up with her. This is a quick read with a HEA.
Dalton aka Jagger made choices he regrets but he doesn’t reach out to his prison therapist Sophie once he is released. They have a real connection that he wants to keep and explore and so does she in this sweet holiday tale.
This book is just a small one, but it's a great story. I love this series, you can read as is or like a lot of us wait desperately for the next one. Well worth the read.
Short but sweet. We met Jagger a couple books back and really felt for him being in jail. But I loved getting to see him out and finding a way to move on with Sophie. She was sweet a pie and they were adorable together.
After hearing about Jagger in Menace’s book and Country’s I really wanted to know more about his story. L. Wilder did not disappoint, even though it was a short story it was still a good read!! On to Viper’s story now and I can’t wait!!
As always, the MC takes you for a ride when you read their books. Jagger and Sophie are no different. Meeting in a rehabilitation program, the two quickly grow close. Wonderfully written with familiar characters involved. Non stop action and hot romance.
Good MC short story. Jagger goes to prison for a fight gone wrong. Can he make his therapist fall for his charm???? The relationship between the MC brothers is amazing. Would like more of Menace’s story
All the brothers have been there for Dalton. He comes home and he is happy and finds himself someone who really gets him. I can't wait to see what the rest of the brothers get into.
