It takes a thief to catch a thief… Charley Glass arrived in her family’s lives like the hurricane she'd escaped. But she hadn't run far enough: the ruthless Giordano family are on her tail and want two things - her life, and the return of the property she stole from them. No matter how many bodies stack up.
After years of longing, Charley finally has the family she’s always wanted, but now she’s going to have to tell them the real reason she came looking them. There is only one way she’s going to stay alive, and that is to employ the muscle of the notorious Glass Family.
The head of the family, Luke, has become embroiled in a dangerous political plot and isn't sure they're strong enough to take on one of New Orleans' biggest crime gangs. But he'd put his life on the line to protect the empire they've built - even if they’ll have to take on an enemy hurting enough to cross an ocean for revenge.
Page-turning, gritty, and utterly compelling, Thief is Owen Mullen’s best book yet. Perfect for fans of Martina Cole, Kimberley Chambers and Mandasue Heller.
Bestselling author Owen Mullen is a McIlvanney Crime Book Of The Year long-listed novelist.

My first Owen Mullen but I can see why is he is so well loved! This is the fourth book in the Glass family series, and I do think it would be more beneficial to get used to the characters and their backstories, so the reader can just enjoy the ride of the plot! Once you are fully introduced to the family, the plot takes off and is a thrilling and gripping novel that I really enjoyed! The characters are fascinating and are great people to base a story around. There is drama and suspense throughout to ensure you don't put the book down, and I would love to continue this journey with these interesting characters if this series continues!

This is another gripping addition to the Glass family series. Luke Glass is head of the family, and he will protect them in any way he can. And Charley needs his help. This is a well written action packed read. I couldn't read the book quick enough. Each turn of the page drew me in further, I was hooked. The characters are well developed. I don't think this book can be read as a standalone. It's one of those series that you need to read from the beginning so that you're up to date with the backstory.
I would like to thank #Netgalley #BoldwoodBooks and the author #OwenMullen for my ARC of #Thief in exchange for an honest review.

Once again another fantastic book from Owen Mullen. I have read all of his books and the Glass family series is definitely a favourite. Great characters of whom it was wonderful to meet again and another great story that sees Luke Glass and his family become embroiled in a new chapter featuring the darker side of the underworld in Glasgow. Also a couple of story line surprises if you have followed this series making me very intrigued as to what may happen in future books. I will be looking forward to the next.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of the book, greatly appreciated.
Charley Glass is running from her past. Nina Glass can’t cope with the future. And Luke Glass will do anything to keep his family safe. Another 5 Star read from Owen Mullens. Gritty London thriller. A page turner with lots of twists along the way. Please don’t let this be the last of the Glass family.
This is the 4th book in the Glass Family series and I would suggest reading these in order as you get more of a sense of who is who. There are several main characters, Luke, Nina, Charley, George and Felix and some from previous books. This story, however, brings a whole new family to the pages and they are not a friendly family.
Charley is a relative newcomer to the series, she is a Glass but one that has just made herself known. She has the Glass determination and stubborn streak and knows how to survive. To be honest, if she didn't have this then Luke would have seen her as a threat and therefore she wouldn't be around to have a story of her own.
She has proven her worth and does a great job of running the LBC, a club with a hefty subscription fee. This is where the rich and famous hang out, where the politicians and Heads of businesses and corporations get to mix business and pleasure in various forms.
Luke has been approached for a favour, not something he is unused to, but this one is political. He hasn't really had to deal with this but the way he is approached is not respectful. It is abrupt and screams of entitlement and expectation. Trying to work out the unknown players and the real money men is something that Luke is good at. It may take time but get there he will.
With this going on Charley's past suddenly makes an entrance. There is a short piece about this at the beginning of this story, it gives the basics and then jumps to the present day. No one knows the full s story of Charley's past, but they are aware she has not been completely translucent.
With a new family on the scene from the US, Luke's backyard starts to become overcrowded. The Giordano Family want Charley, they don't care who they have to go through to get her. They, however, do not understand how the Glass Family and others work.
This is my new favourite book in this series, I said it about the previous one, I think! I adore the Glass family and it is a chance to get to know more about Charley. While she does have a more prominent position in this book, it doesn't mean she is the only focus. I think this is what I like about this series, the author features and focuses, but he doesn't limit this book to one aspect. Each of the three siblings have their own sub-stories, and each one demands attention. Thank goodness the author manages to wrangle and twist all of the threads together to create such an amazing fast-paced tale.
The Glass family are not exactly legit, there are some legit aspects, some illegal aspects and quite a bit of grey in between. They are a gang family, they have their position in London, their own areas and while things run smoothly all is fine. So bringing in another family was a brilliant move and it showed how someone from a different culture brings their own ideas as to how things work. But at street level, things are different and grassroots are where you learn your lessons and your trade.
Flitting between individual stories of Luke, Nina and Charley was great to see them as individuals and what they have been going through. They are strong but they are also vulnerable. This is a book that is addictive and at times brutal, it is also devious and twisted and at times just very in your face. Brilliant crime thriller in the back streets and clubs of London. A book I would definitely recommend.
The Glass family… I did not know them yet, because I have not read the previous instalments.
I was introduced to Luke and his two sisters Nina and Charley, but they are not the only recurrent characters. There were a few more I had to learn about and then of course there were new ones. So in the beginning I had my work cut out for me. A lot of people I had to make connections with.
It was not simple and a bit of a struggle at the start, but that’s of course my own fault. 😉 I am not the most patient person in the world, but when I set my mind to it, I push through. And patience brings great rewards. This time I was rewarded with a great story. 😊
Honour, power and the family name… those are three of the elements that are very important in this book. There are more, of course. Betrayal, fidelity, revenge are added to the mix and baked into this amazing book.
As I already said there were a lot of characters. If I have to pick one that was my favourite, I cannot do that. I must choose two: George and Felix.
In my opinion George is the most intelligent one and Felix maybe does not always make the right decisions, but he does it with the best intentions.
Family and friends… People you should always be able to trust and count on, but sometimes they are your worst nightmare.
Enemies…You should never trust them and always keep an eye out for them, because they might surprise you. But there are two kinds of surprises. Sometimes it are bad ones, sometimes they are good.

I just reviewed Thief by Owen Mullen. #Thief #NetGalley
I so love this series very gripping twisty and addictive Luke Glass .has it all now but he is to comfy and nothing to get his teeth in to. Nina Glass is hurting and turns to the drugs. Charley Glass is very happy running the LBC club. Luke gets an invite to Rupert Neville s estate and as he is bored he goes but he only wants something off him. Charley is working at the club where she has to put a celebrity out for being drunk Brannagan loses his footing and Charley helps him back up where a photographer takes a photo and its going to bring a whole load of trouble as Bruno Mura has now found her. he is the mob leader in America. her past is coming back with avengance .and she calls the man who she does not like George Ritchie Luke s right hand man as there a whole lot of trouble coming will the Glass family survive or is this the end its just brilliant i so recommend this series
I am not sure if it is because I started in book 4 of the Glass family series or maybe it the writing style of the author. I found it difficult to understand the reason of why Charly is who she is. I felt it lack enough background for this reader to under Charley and her choices she made. The story moves quickly, and the beginning starts off with murder and a hurricane.
The family dynamitic is interesting and they will protect those they call family. Luke the oldest tries to keep everyone safe and protected but know when he might not be able to protect his family the way they need.
The action parts are exciting and hard to stop reading. The basic story made it difficult, and I am guessing it is due to starting on book 4.
Thank you to Netgalley for an advance copy of Owen Mullen Thief.
My Thoughts: This is book four in this series but can be read as a standalone. You can get so involved in these characters which lives brings you on some interesting twists and turns. It’s a little dark but exciting. Another great story from Owen Mullen
I have been a fan of Owen's work for a couple of years now. By no means have I caught up with everything that he has written, but that is something that I aim to rectify before too long. I must admit that I have a particular fondness for the series featuring the Glass Family. I have read and loved each book in the series. When I heard that the fourth book in the series was due to be released, I knew that I had to get a copy at the earliest opportunity and hibernate until I had finished reading it. Well ladies and gents the wait is over because the fourth book in the series is called 'Thief' and it was released on 28th September 2022. It's another cracker of a read, which I thoroughly enjoyed reading but more about that in a bit.
As soon as I started reading, I knew that I was reading something special and that I wouldn't be able to put the book down. My Kindle wasn't exactly glued to my hand but it might as well have been because it travelled everywhere with me. I couldn't bear to miss a single second of the story even if most of the characters scared the doo doo out of me. This proved to be an addictive read and the story stayed with me whether I had the book in my hand or not. If I wasn't reading the book then I was thinking about it. If I had to put the book down for any reason then I would immediately look forward to being able to pick the book up again. Well you get the picture. I would become so wrapped up in the story that I would lose all track of time and just how quickly I was getting through the book. All too quickly I reached the end of 'Thief' and I said a (relieved) goodbye to the Glass family and other characters. I found 'Thief' to be the true definition of an unputdownable, page turner of a read. It was a gritty and gripping read, which certainly kept me guessing and kept me on the edge of my seat.
'Thief' is superbly written and then some but I have come to expect nothing less from Owen Mullen. Owen has an easy going writing styles which is easy to get used to and easy to get along with. Owen has the knack of grabbing the reader's attention and drawing them into what proves to be one hell of a read and then some. For me, the story hit the ground running and maintained a fast pace throughout. Owen describes his characters so vividly and realistically that they seem just as real as you and I. I had to keep reminding myself that they were fictional characters and not real as they scared me a bit. Reading 'Thief' felt like being on a scary and unpredictable rollercoaster ride with several twists and turns along the way. I love the way in which Owen makes the reader feel as though they are part of the story and at the heart of the action. That's how I felt anyway.
In short, I thoroughly enjoyed reading 'Thief' and I would recommend it to other readers. I will most definitely be reading more of Owen's work in the future. The score on the Ginger Book Geek board is a very well deserved 5* out of 5*.
This story follows on from the end of book 3, Hustle, so to get the most out of it I would really recommend reading the series in order to get to know fully the characters involved and all the back history to them. Things have been calmer for the Glass family over the last few years after the whole hoo-ha involving his psychotic brother Danny and Rollie Anderson, and particularly so over the last few months since the dramatic end of the last story. Luke Glass is concentrating on building his Glass Gate construction empire, sister Nina is running the Glass Houses real estate business and newly discovered sister Charley is in charge of Luke’s LBC Club in the heart of the city which caters to the rich and famous amongst the other “services” it offers. South London and the street level business is left to the very experienced George Ritchie who was once employed by the Andersons and Felix Corrigan now oversees the East End. However Team Glass still has enemies everywhere. Charley did a very bad thing when she stole documents and money from the powerful Giordano family in New Orleans. Eighteen months later with a trail of bodies behind them, matriarch Madeline, grandson Tony and his dodgy side kick Bruno Mura have finally caught up with her. Highly ambitious Callum Bishop, having gained the North London business from his uncle, still bears a grudge against Luke and is eager to help the Americans, hoping to acquire Luke’s empire in the process. Nina has fallen apart after the demise of Mark Douglas and has reverted to being a cocaine-addicted complete brat, endangering the lives of everyone around her. And by his refusal to be a hitman for a political influencer in a very lucrative financial deal, Luke has unwittingly put himself in someone’s sights. Once again, family is paramount as Luke, George and his army of loyal men battle to maintain control in their cut throat world where weakness cannot be tolerated. The story starts slowly, laying out the past events that have resulted in the current situation and weaving them all together, then the action really hots up as Luke strives to deal with the threats that surround him, pulling out all the stops with some horrifying scenes that prove what a ruthless world they inhabit. I am thoroughly enjoying this series with its shocking storylines and vividly drawn characters, from the heavy-set minders and glamourous call girls to the highly experienced and clever George. There’s plenty of action and thrills in this very well written and gripping story. They might be gangsters but the family and their employees are easy to like, especially Luke and Felix, and once again I found myself rooting for them to come out victorious. I do hope there is more to come! 5*
I’m so glad to be back with the Glass family! I’m invested in them now so was eager to find out what could happen this time!
The glass family is made up of Luke, Nina and Charley. Luke is the head of the family, but Nina and Charley are the ones who keep the money coming into the bank.
Thief is a masterpiece in storytelling and any aspiring writer should look at how effortlessly Owen Mullen weaves a tale, there’s multiple things events.. numerous characters but it’s balanced perfectly and flows so easily.
Nina, oh Nina. She’s had it tough, and she’s not fully recovered either. She’s dealing with her demons but at what cost?
Charley, oh Charley…Now the backstory comes out. Charley is the newest member of the family who showed up one day, proved her worth and has never looked back… but what’s she’s been running from is about to catch up with her.
Luke, ah Luke. I can’t not love the guy. Family is all that matters but he doesn’t know everything..there’s some secrets.. and nothing is certain in life.. can he keep the family safe and find away to help both Charley and Nina?
What I really love about Owen’s writing is it’s prefect.. utterly engrossing, dark and gritty. It’s the tone..I don’t know how he does it but the style of writing is exactly what I want to see.. it’s the grittiness.. the realness.. the depth to the characters.. utter WOW!
This is the best instalment yet for plot and character development. Don’t get me wrong, every book in the series is great but this one is a cut above.. the depth and time given to each character’s story arc is amazing. I really didn’t think it would be easy to develop the existing characters while introducing new ones so perfectly!
For me George Ritchie steals the show, he’s the backbone behind the Glass family.. he’s such a pleasure to go on a journey with.. I don’t think will ever truly know George.. he keeps a lot to himself but it’s more what he doesn’t say that develops him…a man of few words but when he talks.. you listen!
Plot wise there’s multiple angles to this tale with some cracking twists along the way, it’s unbelievable how much is packed in but expertly driven along by the author at a steady pace. What I loved the most was the backstory, it helped me understand motivations for sure… but more than anything it was just so damn exciting!
Once you get stuck into this one you won’t be able to put it down!
Charley is the youngest sister of the Glass family, untouchable some might say, that is until she is tracked down by the Giordano family from New Orleans who want to take back what she has stolen from them and also take her life as revenge. Luke, the eldest of the family will do anything to protect his family, whatever the cost and regardless of the fact that her existence only came to light a few years back, and so ensues a war between the two families that neither of them are willing to lose.
Thief is the latest book in the Glass family series and continues seamlessly from Hustle, book three. This one begins in New Orleans where Charley was living with her mother Frances and gives us an insight into what happened there, the reasons Charley fled the country and why she tracked down her family, reasons that she has kept hidden from them until now because she hasn't wanted to rock the boat, she's loving being part of the family and running LBC for Luke, but the arrival of the Giordano family means she's got to come clean. Once again Mullen has knocked this one out of the park, Thief is full of action and some very graphic content in the lives of this gangland London family which had me hooked from the start and really gets the heart racing. It's always good to see that behind that tough exterior all of the family members portray they are actually human, with feelings and issues just like anyone. They may be a family that you wouldn't want to mess with but I have taken them to my heart, because at the end of the day family means everything to them. I also love how George is so protective of them all, I know he's only doing his job but I believe it's more than just a job to him. If you've just discovered this series it's best to read them in order so you can get a good understanding of the characters and their background, otherwise they might not make sense to you. It's a series that I highly recommend and another huge five stars from me. I really hope there's going to be a fifth book in this series.
Thanks to Owen Mullen for sending me a copy of this to read. I will post my review on Amazon and Goodreads.
This is book 4 in the brilliant Glass Family series and would work perfectly stand alone but you will enjoy it more if you read the series in sequence.
Things seem to be ticking along very well for the Glass Family, Nina is running Glass Houses and Charley is running LBC like a well oiled machine leaving Luke to keep an eye on everything else. However, unbeknown to Luke all is not well with his sisters. Nina is on a very slippery downward slope due to her drug habit and Charley's past is about to come back to haunt her. With a gangster family from overseas joining forces with Bishop this could get very messy and very dangerous for everyone.
I love how Charley takes a bigger role in this story and we learn about her past and see the strong, perfect lady fall to pieces. The fall from grace is very steady and Charley is drowning in the guilt that she has brought all this trouble to the family she has only recently found.
Nina lost the love of her life in the last book and has turned to drugs to help her cope but the dependence is out of control. Can she keep the habit from her siblings? No chance!
So Luke is up against it with his sisters bringing all kinds of problems to his doorstep but to Luke family is everything: Team Glass. He will fight the world to keep his family safe and with the evil Giordano family in town he may have to do just that.
This is an absolutely gripping page turner. I absolutely love this series. It is dark but realistic and a very intriguing read. It is different to read books from the perspective of the dark underworld we try to ignore, but it is there. I do wonder how near real life this series is. Closer than we would like I fear.
A brilliant read well worth the 5 stars. Thank you very much to Boldwood Books and Owen for the advance digital copy. This is my unbiased review.
This is a review that could almost write itself! Owen Mullen writes the most amazing gangland books and I have to say I am hooked!
The fourth Glass Family series book and yet another story I was not disappointed by. After everything the family have been through, we return to them and it was great to catch up too. Every member of the family, be it Luke, Nina or Charley, all feel like my friends. Owen Mullen writes his characters so well that from the first chapter of the first book I have felt like I have known this family.
Thief sees Nina hiding big issues from everyone, Luke is beginning to wonder what is next for him and Charley the newest member of the family, is loving having L.B.C to sort out. Then quite by accident she sees her past coming for her...at full speed. As the stakes keep rising it looks like the family may have to put everything on the line. Will they triumph or will we see the Glass Family without their self made empire, or even their lives?
Wow, as this series goes on it gets better and better. I always think the last book was the best, then there is a new one out and that one males me out to be a liar. The spills and thrills of gangland London are here, in spades. The gangland grit and violence, tick that box too!
This is addictive and immersive reading at its best, with characters that aren't exactly innocent but you still back them all the way. Once I start reading a Glass Family book it's finished in a few hours. Thief was as addictive as the others and I had finished it way too soon. Now I have to wait... and wait for Mr Mullen to come with the next instalment. I hate waiting! I can't recommend this author amd series highly enough.
Thanks to Rachel's Random Resources, Boldwood Books, Owen Mullen and NetGalley for the copy of the book to bring my unbiased review.
You've got to love a family motto; Family First, Family Last that's the Glass way.
Owen Mullen draws us in to Glass family's trials and tribulations from the very first page and #4 Thief is no different from the previous 3. It's always good to catch up with Luke, Nina and Charley Glass reading about their many exploits as a family. In this instalment the ladies are front and centre with Charley being the leading lady with Nina battling her demons again.
It's good to finally we get the true story on Charley, the mysterious sister from America who suddenly appeared on the scene but was ultimately accepted by the family (not so much Nina though). Quickly she proved herself to be a Glass with her attitude and her ability to make a bigger success of LBC. The sad thing about this story is that Charley felt that she couldn't or maybe wouldn't ask the rest of the family for their help,
if you've read the others in the series you'll know that Nina has had her battles with drugs but had manages to get herself clean. It was so sad to read that she is struggling again and in true Glass way she thinks she can do this on her own. Sadly she has been manipulated by a wee chancer or should we say a wee schemer one who thinks this is his ticket to the big time, we shall see lol.
Folks need to watch out, there's a new family in town and let's just say they're not friendlies in fact they appeared to have made friends amongst the multitude of Glass enemies. Be prepared as these aren't looking to topple Luke's crown, their issue is something of a more personal nature.
Fans of Martina Cole, Kimberley Chambers and Casey Kelleher be sure to pick up any of Owen Mullens books before you know it you'll have a new favourite author.
When Charley Glass tracked down her brother and sister in London, there were things she didn’t tell them – like the property she stole from New Orleans crime gang the Giordanos, or the fact that the Giordanos are still after her and want her dead. While Luke hobnobs with the aristocracy and tackles bent politicians, he must also keep Nina from imploding, as well as holding his enemies at arm’s length. When the Giordanos make their move, the Glass family face a gang war that could end with them losing everything…
This is book 4 in the Glass Family thriller series and like the others, it’s crammed with thrills and spills. Owen Mullen begins this volume in New Orleans as he brings the story up to date with Charley’s adventures before she joined her family in London. He also throws a few curve balls at Nina, giving her the mother of all drug habits, putting her in a position that presents a former drug dealer with an interesting opening and a means of getting into the good books with a rival crime boss. The development of the characters is well handled, particularly those of George, Felix and Nina, while others on the periphery give the story an extra dose of excitement. With everything to play for, the action hurtles towards a thrilling climax as the brown stuff hits the wind machine.
I wouldn’t have thought it possible to top his previous book, but Owen Mullen has done it again. ‘Thief’ is a thumping good read with a spicy layer of the famous Mullen wit to season the pot.
When I read "Hustle" earlier this year, I really thought, wow, the author makes this London mob family sound so likable! Luke Glass and his two sisters, Nina and Charlie, are the main characters of the series. In Thief, we learn more about Charlie, the youngest sister who grew up in America and joined the Glass clan in London as a grown-up. The latest installment reveals bits of Charlie's life prior to joining the family and a shocking secret from her past.
I really enjoyed the action and suspense of Hustle, so when I got the opportunity to review the eARC of Thief, I knew it was going to be another page-turner! I was very curious about Charlie's past only briefly mentioned in the previous book, and Thief reveals it all! The characters are so well written. Luke is calm and has the classy gangster boss presence about him. Nina is a mess, but there is hope for her, as she navigated through her internal struggles, with her family and loyal friends by her side. Charlie has changed so much since her life in America, yet her imperfect past comes back to haunt her in her posh London life.
This book works as a stand-alone, but reading Hustle helped me put some pieces together. I would recommend it to those who enjoyed Malibu Rising because this is another great tale of strong sibling connection. Fast-paced, exciting and will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Book 4 of the Glass Family series and just like the previous three books there is a continuing theme of strong violence so definitely not for those of a sensitive nature. Could be read as a stand-alone but I recommend reading the previous books as there are a number of characters, and background, that would be useful to know. Alongside the main plot there are a number of other threads and once again these are seamlessly and effortlessly woven together.
Briefly, Charley is now working as part of the family having been accepted as Luke and Nina’s sister. She is the face of the Lucky Bastards Club but what the others don’t know is her history in the US and her dealings with the Giordano family from New Orleans. She stole something from them and they want revenge. With them making their presence felt in London Luke has a fight on his hands to keep Charley safe. Meanwhile Nina has gone off the rails addicted to both drugs and alcohol.
Standard gangland fare in that violence escalates quickly and bodies start mounting. Betrayal on both sides is treated without mercy. A fast paced and gritty book and so enjoyable, completely addictive reading.
BRILLIANT Charley Glass has everything she wants in her life her family brother Luke and sister Nina and of course the name Glass puts the fear in people who get on the wrong side of them.Years ago Charley ran from the Giordano family New Orleans biggest crime gang she took something from them and now they've found her it's payback time. For the first time the head of the family Luke feels unsure that they are a match for the Giordanos but he'll do anything to protect his family and everything his built.Lives are in danger but when you mess with the Glass family you better be ready to smash it the first. I'm a big fan of this brilliant author and this was another hit I was unable to put it down until I'd finished then was sorry I'd finished as I wanted to read more,Look forward to reading more by Owen Mullen. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Thanks to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for the ARC.
Thief by Owen Mullen. Charley Glass arrived in her family’s lives like the hurricane she'd escaped. But she hadn't run far enough: the ruthless Giordano family are on her tail and want two things - her life, and the return of the property she stole from them. No matter how many bodies stack up. After years of hoping, Charley finally has the family she’s always wanted, but now she’s going to have to tell them the real reason she came looking for them. There is only one way she’s going to stay alive, and that is to employ the muscle of the notorious Glass Family. The head of the family, Luke, isn't sure they're strong enough to take on one of New Orleans' biggest crime gangs. But he'd put his life on the line to protect the empire they've built - even if they’ll have to take on an enemy hurting enough to cross an ocean for revenge. Omg. Very addictive read. Couldn't put it down. 5*.
If you like a good gangland book this is one for you. Unfortunately I hadn’t read the previous books in the series but easily caught up with who was who etc. This story follows Charley Glass who arrived on the doorstep of her family after running from events in New Orleans. Fast paced, gritty and full of menace this was addictive. I thoroughly enjoyed this and couldn’t be 100% sure how it was going to turn out. Great characters with a sense of loyalty for some and for others none whatsoever! Some of the violence was described quite graphically but I thought it was in keeping with the book. I also liked how the story was written at times from the viewpoint of Luke Glass. Gripping from the first page this was a brilliant read. Thank you to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for the opportunity to read this in exchange for an honest review.
You are back with the Glass family and you find out what happened to the person who stole from the crime family in New Orleans during a hurricane. Charley Glass has made it to London seeking her family yet they do not know that she is being chased, followed by a crime family not like it matters anyway because Luke Glass will not give up his sister. What happens is an exciting story that when it does come to an ending only a few will remain standing and you will need to read the book to find out who it is, Alao Nina the other sister is dealing with a drug problem from an issue from the end of the last book. Once again a good story with good characters, and worth the read. I received this book from Netgalley.com
I love this series of books featuring the Glass family with interesting dynamics. Think I am secretly in love with Luke! The plotting is excellent and well written, as usual but this has to be the best in the series so far. It's completely addictive and sets a heart racing pace from the beginning until the last chapter. The characterisation is excellent, I would like to see more from George and Felix, and I can't wait for the next book to see what happens next. I highly recommend to lovers of gangster thrillers. Thanks to the publisher and to Net Galley for my ARC
I was totally gripped by this 4th story in the Glass family series and ended up finishing the book in a day. The way Owen Mullen writes is so descriptive meaning you feel part of the story and can picture it as he tells it. I also struggle to pick out my favourite character in the series as they all have such likeable qualities at times, whether it’s Luke, Nina, Charley, George or Felix, you enjoy their part of the story. I look forward to seeing what comes next for Team Glass and from Owen Mullen.
Thief by Owen Mullen is the forth book in the excellent The Glass Family series and what an excellent book this was! again! and I loved it. This series has been brilliant from the very first book till the forth and its an action-packed thriller is full of twists and turns throughout with fantastic characters that you will love!!!
This was a book I started and could not put down....I loved it.
I highly recommend this series. They are the Bee's knees!!! A superb read!
5 Stars from me!
Big Thank you to Netgalley and Boldwood books for the ARC for an exchange of a review.
Owen Mullen has done it again what a gripping book this was to read.Nina Glass is on a downward spiral but Luke hasn't noticed and Charley has a shock in store when her past hits home. When George Ritchie gets a phone call from Charley asking for help, as Lukes right hand man he heads over to the LBC the club Luke owns but Charley runs.I won't say anymore as it would give the plot away but i did not want this book to end it had me gripped excellent 5*.
Here we are back again with the Glass family. This is the fourth book in the series. I really would suggest reading the first three books as there are an awful number of characters and you will be able to enjoy this book more. That's not to take away the thrill of each page with some new characters and a whole new family to contend with. Thrills, suspense, and drama are the order of the day and you won't be able to tear yourself away from it. A very enjoyable crime book.
Owen Mullen is a favourite crime writer . He ticks all the boxes for me . Page Turner, gripping , can't be put down etc.
He writes so knowingly about the criminal world , I could believe he was a mobster in some previous life . More realistically he is a master spinner of tales . More strength to your elbow Owen ,keep them coming and thank you very much..
