The Alien's Omega #1

The Alien's Kidnapped Omega

Rate this book
Alex

My job was supposed to be easy; meet the dominant Alien race of Mukhana, negotiate an alliance, and leave. Being literally carried away into the night changes everything. Kidnapping a human is asking for trouble. Every alien in the galaxy should know that by now, but the nassa are more barbaric than expected.

Despite some small similarities with humans, their culture is hard to comprehend. They're kind yet controlling, warm yet stern. Even though he literally kidnapped me and will fight to keep me, Saar seems to respect me and maybe even care for me. Most confusing of all, everyone keeps calling me an omega...

Saar

Humans are confusing creatures. They send their most delicate and vulnerable through the universe unattended.

The moment I saw Alex, I knew he was an omega. Even though I was furious that he was being paraded around, unmated and unprotected, I was also thrilled because I knew at once; he was mine.

I will save my omega from his difficult life. I will keep him safe and protected, even if it means war...

The Alien's Kidnapped Omega is a lighthearted sci-fi m/m romance featuring a unique alien race, a sweet and confused human, a very well-meaning and equally misguided alien and a forced marriage.

It's a testament to how much I liked this book that I spotted a few editing fails and was barely bothered.

The world building was fairly well done, and I appreciate how the concept of alphas and omegas was woven into an alien culture.

Alex and Saar had wonderful chemistry. I want a Saar! He's so protective, sexy, and caring, a potent combination.

And how adorable was that kidnapping seriously? I didn't know a kidnapping could be swoony, but this one was.

Romance, a bit of danger, mating, claiming ... all the good stuff!

This story, by a new-to-me author, was an unexpected win. I'm bummed that I have to wait until December for the second book (hopefully Eisa's story).

I have a ton of books to review so... HERE I COME!! 🤣🤣🤣

The Alien's Kidnapped Omega is like every other Alien's story and Omegaverse stories, instant lust, instant love, lots of miscommunication, alpha male that doesn't listen, Omega who just goes with the flow, bla bla bla.

So if you have read any of those tropes before, you have read this one. But, it's short and easy to read, so it works for when you don't wanna think much, just enjoy.

Personally, I don't think I'll continue reading the series. 🤔🤔

But I have broken promises before, so... 🤣🤣🤣

Okay I tried but I figure I’m still not quite ready for monster-romance yet. And although this alien race was pretty humanoid, because of certain physical features, like the tail and scales, my mind couldn’t shut off the image of a large lizard when imagining Saar which made it difficult for me to find his relationship with Alex particularly sexy. But that was obviously a me-problem as it was stated a lot that these aliens weren’t that different in appearance than humans. (see the cover as evidence)

But besides that awkward feeling and all the cultural misunderstandings (which annoyed me, but were ofc understandable) this love story was a bit OTT for me.

My entire being felt pain at the thought of losing him.

---
Without Saar’s arms around me, how was I supposed to sleep? How was I even supposed to live?

That was after TWO DAYS!!! Okay, they were mated but it felt too sappy and cheesy and I wasn’t feeling it. Well, at least it got a bit more dramatic later with the whole lost-mate issue and there were some interesting developments and plans at the end.

I guess all in all it was just too lovey-dovey for my current mood *lolll

If it wasn’t for that, I think I would’ve very much liked it but… regardless I’m looking forward to the next book in the series as it seems to feature quite a similar pair of characters (a human omega and an alpha alien) but with totally different personalities and relationship dynamics.

side note: Maybe I’m experiencing a bad book slump or something. I wouldn’t put it past the realm of possibilities.

I am so glad this series didn’t have many books because there wouldn’t be anything to stop me from reading all of them at once. This was SO fun. My review is going to suck because I enjoyed this book so much that I went down a rabbit hole of MM alien romances, so I don’t remember much details about this book. The biggest thing to take away from this review is that I loved the book.

This is my first MM alien book. My second alien book ever actually. When I was getting into reading, I read Ice Planet Barbarians (plz don’t look at me like that), but that book has nothing on this book. There was a lot of things I am not familiar with in books like knotting, omegas, mpreg, etc. But I am a big fan of all of those things now. Please send me all your recommendations.

So, Alex is a human from Earth. He travels space meeting aliens on different planets and establishing rapport with them if at all possible. He comes to this new planet, and he meets Saar. Saar realizes that Alex is an omega, and he’s like “yep I’m taking that” and proceeds to kidnap poor Alex. Which was hilarious in my opinion. Obviously, Saar’s people tell him he can’t do that, but they don’t give Alex back to his people. Then an arranged marriage type thing happens. It was a whirlwind for poor Alex, but he was very attracted to the alien so it’s okay. A lot more stuff happens that is crazy, but I am not spoiling. I got very sad and very nervous for a minute. But all is well in alien love.

Saar was so sweet to Alex, and his reactions to human things were hilarious. Like he had a full on freak out when he was told humans get get a sun burn. He was willing to fight the sun for burning his sweet Alex. And don’t even get me started on the hot alien sex. Woah baby. I am a big fan.

If you like all the tropes that are in this book, then give this a go. And give me more recommendations thank you.

Move aside IPB, there's a new sexy af adorably-confused alien male in town.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: NOTHING BEATS AN ALIEN CONFUSED BY MUNDANE HUMAN CONCEPTS. Saar freaking the fuck out about Alex getting a sunburn absolutely sent. me. Hilarious and so so so cute.

This book was so much fun to read! So much so that I read the first two books & novella in the series before stopping to write my reviews; I just had to keep going. While the concept of the story is not wholly original, it was done very well!

There were miscommunications galore and things that could have definitely been avoided if someone just said something, but I'm just going to lean into the whole *two very different species meeting for the first time and having no idea how to communicate with one another* thing, because fuck it; sometimes, we do it for the plot. And it makes for a great fucking time.

Also, the sex is fire; we love a knot.

I reached 57% and I think that’s a feat and I will award myself that 1 star over there. That 1 star is for me, not the book. The book gets 0 stars from me.

Alex has to be the most incompetent, doormat-like, boring, useless Omega I have read in a while. In a long, long, long time. This is a man that the author would have us believe, is educated and smart and in charge of first contact with aliens and the second he meets Saar’s species, and Saar himself, he is kidnapped and after a few days of “fighting” (he doesn’t. Not really. He barely pushes to be let free and explain the situation properly like a fucking professional adult) he is ready to bent over the nearest surface for Saar.

I mean, what the fuck kind of “strong, intelligent, professional” Omega is that. Don’t even get me started on the insta-lust (through the fucking roof its on the stratosphere right now) and insta-love.

He had countless of opportunities to say “No” to Saar but he never did. The aliens wouldn’t have killed him, they would be sad and just let him leave but he never said “No” because he “felt bad and guilty”. What a doormat of a character. Every Alien walks all over him and he lets them.

This could have been such a strong character but instead we get Stockholm Syndrome: The Alien Version (Now with Venom in the saliva to make your Omega even more of a doormat, submissive idiot)

Also 57% in and nothing interesting has happened except sex with an idiot and a doormat, some bonding ceremony that was bland af and the MCs being even more stupid idk 🤷🏻‍♀️

This truly read like a Het book where the submissive and weak female character lets herself get sweep away by the strong mysterious alien because he has a big dick or whatever.

I enjoyed this story so much! Some of my favourite tropes were all packed into one wonderful story!

This is the story of Alex, a human with a space expedition team. They land on a planet of tall reptile-like humanoid aliens with whom they want to create an alliance. However, once Alex is scented as an Omega, things go sideways. There is miscommunication and cultural misunderstanding that lead to major problems.

I read this book in one sitting! Goodness, I loved how Alex and Saar's relationship progressed. It was sexy and romantic (insta love BUT!!!) and all the feels were there. The ending felt a little rushed, but I'm hoping we will get more in-depth with the second book as the series progresses. It may not be for everyone but I loved it; it just ticked all my boxes and was a great introduction to a series I think will be great! Super excited for the second book since it'll be Eisa's story!

This book has been recommended so many times on different social platforms, that I've decided to finally read it.
And here I was, thinking we probably don't have any fantastic m/m alien books.

I absolutely loved this book. Felt like coming home.
Before I started reading MM books, I've been reading alien and monster m/f ones for a really long time, so I'm really excited to realize we definitely have some material to work with here.

🟣 Omegaverse
🟢 Mpreg
🟡 Another planet
🔵 Lizard humanoids (or rather, really tall, sexy warrior guys with scales, yum)
🟠 Peaceful, democratic society
⚪ Light, entertaining and sweet; dual POV, short chapters
🌶️ Good spice

This story is about Alex, a young man in his 20's who's a part of a human delegation from Earth travelling across space, finding different planets and species and trying to not only do research, but make alliances.

Alex and his team come across the planet Mukhana, where they meet the ruling Alphas of the native nassa species.
The humans are completely unaware of the social structure and habits of the planet and their people, so in good faith, they try to establish a friendly relationship, but in the process Alex is recognized as an Omega and is taken away.

This was my Alex.

Saar is the ruling Alpha's son who kidnapped Alex. One could say he was drawn to him, recognizing his own mate. Even though Alex had no idea what the hell was going on, he kind of just went with it and in the blink of an eye Alex was standing in an arena, looking at Saar fighting other Alphas for the chance of creating a lifelong bond with him .

The whole story was really romantic, I have to say, funny and interesting and Alex being a complete introvert for so many years, lonely and without any kind of hope of finding someone special, finally fell in love and found a man willing to have a true, meaningful relationship with him.

Saar absolutely surprised me. I was almost expecting that proverbial asshole Alpha to come through, but no, Saar was a wonderful person, full of devotion, love and in general a pure sunshine, that's exactly how I felt. Even though a complete virgin, Saar is an amazing intimate partner and the spice is really good here, I absolutely loved it. Who wouldn't want that guy for a lifelong mate, come on??!

They really were the perfect match.

When Alex had to go back to his kind in order to save Saar and his planet, they both experienced agony for being separated, not only that, Alex discovered he was pregnant. I know, there are so many mixed feelings about mpreg out there, but I personally find it amazing, I can only wish it were true or possible, but maybe it is, somewhere.

Their reunion was really heartwarming and I'm glad we haven't heard the last of them yet. With such great worldbuilding, I am definitely expecting to hear more from this planet, especially now that Alex has been made a human representative there.

A wonderful book, there's no other way to put it, I felt pure happiness while reading this and I can't wait to continue with the rest of the books in the series.

* There are a few grammatical mistakes in the book, but they didn't bother me as much, because the story was so good.

Miscommunication to the extreme.

This book drove me up the wall!!!

I wanted to like it: I thought it would be ridiculous (it was) but endearing (it wasn't).

The communication was AWFUL. The Nassa completely dismissed everything that Alex said, infantilising him because of his omega and human status. Alex also withheld important information, though I suppose who could blame him since he'd been completely disregarded up until then.

I wanted to smack Saar over the head when he was completely oblivious as to what he might have not listened to:

“I should have known that would be your reaction. Since we met, you barely believe anything I have to say.”
His words stung. I didn't know what I hadn’t listened to, but it wasn't right to make him feel this way.

How about EVERYTHING Saar, you didn't listen to ANYTHING.

I'm raging. RAGING!!

Writing this review is making me ANGRY so I'm going to leave it here and not bother to comment on the rest of this dumb story apart from to say that I'm super disappointed because I wanted to like this but I definitely won't be reading on.

i came here for alien sex but i stayed for the plot.

damn, this is the first time that i say something like this and i truly feel like and intellectual .

the smut was good. sure, i hoped that there would be some creative use for the tail, but i guess not all dreams come true.

i loved the naar, they were so cute. and saar was mesmerized by alex’s body and how different it was.
i can’t wait to see what happens next.
idk if i should talk about this with my therapist, but i have to say that this kidnapping was one of the CUTEST things i’ve ever seen in my life.

Hmm for an alien human book it was alright, I definitely have read better but this was cute, I felt like we really jumped in feet first in to the book, not a lot of explanations at the beginning.

But overall I enjoyed it, but didn’t love it. Kirt Graves did a good job narrating, he made me continue with the book cause at the beginning i thought I was going to DNF.. but I am glad I pushed through.

Wonder if Eisa will have his own book next.. that would be interesting.

I really enjoyed this book and it was close to a 5 star read for me. This was my first book by Sienna Swan, but I’m sure it won’t be my last. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.

One of the things I really liked is the way Sienna writes. The prose just flows for me. I often love the story, but have trouble with the writing style. If you like alien and human stories this is a winner.

DNF & 53%.

I originally had no intention of reading this. I had read one other book from the author and it was a very early DNF for me, so I wasn’t even going to touch this. However, I kept seeing people recommending it, so I thought I’d give it a try.

The writing is just as clunky and basic as I found the other book to be.

Alex is sent on a mission as a expert in his field, with his superior tagging along. Considering they had already been in communication with the nassa (who seem like an odd take on Naga), that just makes these two experts seem even more incompetent that they come off. Alex is really TSTL, which kind of kills any enjoyment this book could have brought.

Also, the world building is super disappointing.

JAJAJAJJAJAJAJ

Full disclosure, I wasn't able to bring myself to finish this book. I don't like writing a review for a book I half finished, but here I am.

Honestly if you like a alpha/omega, human is abducted, etc. story this one's "ok". I can suspend my disbelief, but there are limits. This story just wasn't internally consistent enough for me.

3.5/5.

”It was overwhelming how much the simple gesture meant to me. I’d been lonely before, that was true, but I hadn’t realized just how much I longed to have something more in my life.”

Sienna Sway is a new to me author, and when I saw this new release it reminded me of one of my favorite books in the blurb so I wanted to read it and see if it held up to a similar enjoyment for me. Her writing was a bit emotionally closed off for me and had some editing issues, but I see plenty of potential to grow.

Story wise, I did enjoy this. While I felt the characters of Alex and Saar were not very in-depth, I think the culture building around the Nassa were. I enjoyed the depictions and descriptions of their clothing and art, as well as the expectations in the wedding bond and the thought put into their planet environment alongside their biology. Not to mention they weren’t painted as horrible, just that there were miscommunications had over their species not having the same understandings around gender, which I enjoyed. I definitely want to read more about this world and the alphas and omegas on planet that could potentially create more couples to be had. I felt I could imagine how the aliens looked and especially loved the description of the omega nassa.

Alex and Saar had a few traits — lonely and average, vs. passionate and devoted — that I felt they were defined by. They acted within those perimeters, and not much else is to be said for them. I think the hurt/comfort that emerges is sweet, but we don’t get much emotional depth until Alex is talking to his friend much later in the book. This relationship is definitely instalove, but I have no issue with that. Just something to be warned about if you decide to pick this up.

There was m-preg but it was right at the end with no development so it doesn’t play out. That was unfortunate but typical. I liked how the ending worked out for all the characters involved, and I definitely think it made sense for the story.

This was a fun, quick read. The plot is familiar and easy (kidnapped human omega on an alien planet) and the romance is sweet and spicy with a touch of instalove. Definitely a good palate cleanser if you need something quick and familiar.

Probably 2.5 stars as I thought this was pretty average. Followed the tropes of this type of story pretty closely but that’s fine to me. I thought the writing was fine but nothing amazing. It’s a short book so there is not a lot of world building. I didn’t like the third act conflict or the way it unfolded. It made Alex seem like a complete pushover. Definitely not bad and it only took me a little over an hour to read so I’d say give it a chance if you want to.

This was a cute, quick read and just what I needed right now. I have been reading so many plot heavy books, I need some sweet fluff.

Alex and Saar were confusingly adorable. Like most books like this, everything started from one big misunderstanding.

I am hoping that future books are about the secondary characters that we met.

As I am a MPreg fan I was hoping to see more of Alex experiencing his. All in all a cute read.

I had read the first book in the Pykh series and wanted to try another alien/omega situation that was a little more fluffy/goofy. This hit that vibe but, unfortunately, the foundation of the plot pissed me off and that's hard to get over when it effects the whole story.

A human emissary gets kidnapped nearly the moment he arrives on some planet, because the natives say he's an unmated omega and suspect he's being mistreated by the humans (since omegas wouldn't have to work and would be pampered, etc). But humans don't have alphas and omegas and have no idea what they're talking about.

The problem for me is that this race of people never listen to the human, who tries repeatedly to explain the situation. In the beginning I felt like maybe the human MC wasn't trying hard enough to explain, but I understood why he started going along with it. However, I never fully warmed to the alien species. Even though they treated dude well, it ultimately came off as super condescending - basically patting him on the head and being like "of course you don't think you were mistreated, but you don't KNOW anything". Like, are omegas important and meant to be worshipped or are they silly little babies who don't deserve autonomy? Pick, please. I know I'm making it more serious than it is but, too late, I'm annoyed.

Individually, I actually liked the MCs - yes, even the reptilian guy. He was cute and just wanted to take care of his little human, and together they were very saccharine. Lots of caretaking, very adorable. Except for, you know, the whole part where the reptilian MC blatantly disregarded anything the human was saying about his life.

I might continue the rest of the series since the natives got schooled in the end, and that takes away the part that was so frustrating for me. Idk, we'll see.

Safety (may contain spoilers)

SA/rape: None.

Other person drama: None. However, the reptilian species can't fuck anyone who isn't their mate (like not physically possible), so they're all virgins until mating. The human MC was not promiscuous by any means, but he had a typical sex life before getting kidnapped (no details). There's a little hurt and confusion when the reptilian MC realizes that the human is not also a virgin.

I loved this!!!

I feel like THIS would be what it’s like to travel to different planets. If this was included in Star Trek I might have become Trekkie😝 I loved the confusion, I loved how humans were viewed and that the aliens didn’t want to kill us. I loved the traditions, the over protectiveness. I fell in love with them. The writing was great the smexy was Yes!!! And I’m wondering if Blaine will get a story.

This might not be a five-star, but it was awesome none the less.

It was exactly what I needed right now. Fast-paced, kind of short, and a romance that wasn't entirely as predictable as it could have been.
Sure, it was only low to medium on the steam scale, but with the generally juicy storyline, the spice was enough.

I just love the I'm-an-omega-but-didn't-know-it-trope. And combined with an abduction and a forced (but not quite unwanted) bonding to a big hunk of an alien... Well. It hit all my spots.

Alex, the human omega, is tasked to establish contact with the dominant alien race of the planet Mukhana. But on his first visit, one of the big aliens sniffs him out (literally) as an omega and decides to "save" him. That's how Alex finds himself mated off to the intimidating but sexy as heck Saar. Only Alex knows that the humans won't accept one of their own being kidnapped, he knows they will retaliate. The thought of leaving Saar is painful, but Alex can't stand the thought of the Nassa people getting hurt because of him.

Since the story was short, there wasn't much space for world-building. But it was enough to set the scene, and what was revealed was interesting. The take on omega-alpha pairings was not exactly unique but it had a fresh spin that wasn't simply the old fated-mates thing. I liked it, and its implications for the alien society as a whole. It was refreshing to read.

This is definitely a guilty pleasure read and I enjoyed it immensely. So much in fact that I pre-ordered the second book in the series which won't be released until December. The blurb isn't even available yet put that didn't stop me. So, again, even if it's not a 5-star it's still a very, very delicious story.

Highly recommend.
