UPDATE - Yeah, I’m giving this 1 star. I rated it 3 stars initially when I read it a few days ago, but the more I think about that book, the more I’m not sure what the heck I read. The dialogue was super cringey and stilted in a lot of places. I skimmed a lot because the sex scenes were LONG and not really sensual. The way the book resolved didn’t make sense. I’m not going to recommend this to anyone, and I changed my mind, I’m not reading the next one.
I liked the concept of the book. 6 med school friends (3 guys/3 girls) decide to let off some steam by anonymously hooking up with each other. A guy/girl pairing hooks up in a bedroom but they don’t know who they’re sleeping with (thanks to blackout blinds and blindfolds and not being allowed to make noise during sexy time).
However, the overuse of “my girls” and “my guys” got annoying really quickly. Also, I skipped a lot of pages and sped read through some because it was repetitive and boring in some places.

This book will leave you begging for more! Okay, let me start with the fact that I have followed this book from one app to another and now to print, and I can say that though the main gist of the story is the same you can tell the time and love that J.L. Vanders has put into this finished product. Not only because of that, but because this book is HOTT and touching I can NOT give this book anything other than 5 out of 5 stars! I loved this finished and polished version of the beginning of this series for many reasons, but the characters are the ones that make you fall in love with them.
Callie is the person that we follow her point of view for this book, and she makes me smile and laugh. Her take on things and her ability to over think everything, along with her nosiness make her wedge her way into your heart. With five other characters, each with unique personalities and traits, you will have your fill of hot and sexy! Mia, Shay, Deck, Evan and Judge round out this amazing six-person story with tempting lines, sexy actions and hilarious quips! The chemistry between them is enough to set the paper on fire! J.L. Vanders' talent for bringing her characters to life is not only impressive but one that authors cannot learn but have to be born with, it will make you wish that these characters were real life people. If they don't leave you begging for more than I don't know what to tell you, but I know that I will be waiting on pins and needles for the second book in this sexy series!
There are moments throughout this book that will touch your heart and make you smile, as well as get your blood heating and you searching for your partner! Giving this a rating of a Habanero Pepper, with scenes that could melt panties! The intense and passionate bond that these six friends have is one to aspire too. Throughout this book, you will see that the number one priority for this group is trust with which this whole series would not be possible. I love how this book can show a new kind of relationship that is not "stereotypical" in society today. I cannot recommend this book enough for anyone that is looking for a new take on relationships and some steamy reading!
This is a story that is for open minded people who love to push their boundaries, and who believe that trust in friendships and relationships is the number one priority. With unconventional relationships and extremely fun and explicit scenes this book is NOT for the under 18 crowd!
I hope that this helps you find your next Tantalizing Tome!
If you’re going in knowing it’s a sex fest then you’ll enjoy it. Normally I enjoy spice and smut, but the wording and verbiage just killed it sometimes. It had too many adjectives back to back. It dragged on for longer than necessary I feel.
Great mix of spice/steam but also sweet storyline and characters. Quite cheesy and has all of the spice scenes that I wanted more of the story line. All the smut shy on the plot.
Disappointing. Heavy on heat, light on character and plot development.

5 ⭐ I loved it. I’ll revisit it like an old friend. This book is moving right into my favorites category. I would recommend it to everyone, even people that don’t ask. I’ll one click this author’s work in the future. For a few hours, I belonged to the author’s world and not my own. 4 ⭐ A great read. I’ll probably reread again when feeling nostalgic. It was very enjoyable, not portable magic. I would recommend it to a friend. 3 ⭐ I liked it. It was a nice way to pass the time. I doubt I’ll reread it. I’d recommend it to someone asking for a specific genre. Thanks for the memories. 2 ⭐ I completed the Herculean task of finishing this book. At times, it felt like I was Prometheus and the suffering would never end. It just wasn’t for me but I applaud the author for their effort. 1 ⭐ I couldn’t finish this book or I wish I hadn't finished. How do I put this? It’s not me, it’s you.
This book is something else! It read it purely on a recommendation from a friend and I’m so glad I did. I wouldn’t say the writing was amazing but the content was there. I’d recommend this book!
3 guys and 3 girls with sharing, voyeurism, group scenes and more 💦
✨ MY REVIEWS CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR THE BOOK AND THE PREVIOUS BOOKS IF IT IS A PART OF A SERIES ✨
I went into this book being absolutely thrilled about the premise and concept of this book, the sharing and the group scenes just do it for me. I would love to see different POVs from all of the characters, mainly Mia and Evan and definitely Dec too. I did feel like I knew how the ending would turn out but I shipped Callie and Deck from the start. There was something about Dec that just ticked all the right boxes for me. The smut was quite satisfying in this book with an original concept and a well-done execution. The sex shop, the theatre, the Callie threesome, their preview nights and the porn-watching scenes were all fire. 🔥
However, I did not enjoy the writing, the terminology was childish, some of the dialogues were cringy. The writing was repetitive and if I don't see this guy, this girl, my girls in a book used this much in a long time I will be quite happy. I also didn't catch the more of the relationship Callie and Dec were talking about, their emotional connection specifically, because we didn't see them much in scenes other than the sexual ones and the author wanted the couples at the end not to be obvious but by doing that it took from seeing the individual couples' real connections. The way the guy Callie was with in the end was not revealed to the reader was quite smart but it wasn't mysterious or enticing to me, more annoying. I do want to see more of an explanation of how their games will work with them being coupled up now and it makes me feel like it's not very realistic and some conflict or conversations will be needed. I would love to read the next book but I hope the writing will get better and there will be something intriguing with the story. I didn't care much about Shay and Judge because they were the two least developed character-wise.
Also, what was that weird obsession with bare lady parts? Is that not normal in America or something? It made the book feel much more like it was written by someone who was 18 and completely inexperienced.
3 stars ✨

I literally DEVOURED this book. The cover is deceiving and you would not expect it to be so dirty. The story follows 6 close friends (3 girls, 3 guys) who are in college together and decide that they want to explore a sexual relationship. They don't want to ruin their close relationship or add any awkwardness so they come up with a plan to engage in sexual acts in anonymity. The story is told only from 1 of the females perspective. I just want to say this book was FUN! It is pure smut and the plot is sex. There are scenes that aren't smutty but 95% of the book is smutty. Yet, somehow it is still kind of a slow burn. And of course, during the whole book you are wondering if they will even choose and who it could be. I changed my mind on who she would choose no less than 100 times. I was so anxious to get to the end that I called into work sick today. I NEEDED to know. When I got to the end, I did a literal happy dance. This was everything I wish my college experience would have been. This is KU, HEA, and (<- thats not too spoilery). It is technically going to be a series but this book wraps everything up and could be read as a standalone.
This is a difficult book to rate. If you are basing it solely on smut, then this is 5 stars. 95% of the book is either smut, or characters discussing future smut. There is very little of anything else. The idea of the story is good. I think if it had a more detailed story, or at least a 70/30 smut/story ratio it would be really good. I did like the mystery aspect of it, it's probably the only thing that kept me reading. Though it did have a few lol moments too.
First of all, it takes them half the book to figure out the rules. Then they have three nights of the game, fall in love in convenient pairs, and find out they never switched at all. Boring. And this is going to be a series?! Six-person foreplay before they pair off and go into separate rooms? Wake me up when they actually start swinging, grouping, or going at it at the same time with all six.

I DNFed it at 20%. Honestly it was just too cringe and the idea was too fantastical I just couldn’t get into it. No one is desperate enough for sex that they would make themselves look like their friends. Plus the dialogue was way too young and immature for med students. It felt like it was a 15 year old writing about what they think a 21 year old sounds like.
I one of the best books I have read in such a long time and definitely the best book I have read so far this year. Love all the characters and the different personalities. If your considering reading this book DO IT in fact do it NOW.
DNF- Not because it was bad but polyamory is not for me. I was already getting jealous for every person involved 30% in even though none of them seem jealous of each other.
I've been eyeing this book for quite some time now. The fact that it is so different and unique is what attracted me to it. Honestly? I didn't even know that I'd like a story like that. Yes I'm all for smutt and sex and orgasms but this book had some really complicated relationships behind all this steam.
Ok let's take things from the beginning. This story talks about six friends, three girls and three guys, and their growing "chemistry" if that's a way to describe the thing between them. You know what? Fuck it. I'll just say it as it is.
These 6 friends are medical students and they want to fuck each other's brains out. The whole thing starts in a very intense way! No one hides the attraction they feel from the rest of the group and they make it pretty clear to everyone that if they're given the chance.. they will act on their lust. They basically eye fuck one another from the start!
We read the book from one person's pov. Callie is one of the girls and we read her side of the story. She is totally attracted to all 3 men of the group and each one of them turns her on in his own way.
So yeah. Tough shit friends. This book is no joke. These characters are really into sharing and trying new things. They want to explore this thing between them so they decide to play a game. In this game no one will know who the other person is. A girl will be in a room in total darkness and then one of the guys will join her and they will fuck. All of them will do this at the same time, in different rooms so they will not know who fucked whom.
It sounds complicated because it probably is. This is what kept me away even though I was eyeing it for so long! But I couldn't resist anymore. I wanted to know how. How is this experience? How did the author make it work? How did the characters act around each other knowing that they basically "ghost fuck" one another. *Sigh* Yes I'm totally making my own words at this point.
The writer did a good job with the plot. I liked the way that the story unfolded, and I liked even more how it ended. You definitely need to try this.
This is a wonderful and terribly erotic concept...
…yet somehow the author has made it so boring.
The spice scenes are really good but during the times they're watching those adult videos together? It gets a little tedious. Even while appreciating all of their communication it gets super monotonous as well.
At first it was confusing– not knowing which of the three men Callie was truly pining over. Then it hit me that that was the point. So that we were the ones in the dark, not truly knowing. Again, great concept. The idea? Beautiful. But because there isn't much time spent with her openly engaging and falling for this man, it doesn't feel real to us as the reader, in a far off way. How are we supposed to understand her falling for this guy when we don't see it?
I did, however, guess the right guy in the end. So maybe it was obvious afterall.
And while it was cute they all ended up never sharing each other anyways, not in that way, it also felt cheap. We were cheated in so many ways with this one.
And that's not even mentioning how many times the words coochie and hairy are used.

This would have been a one star for me but I added an extra because I can appreciate that it's a unique story and that it was a good idea that I've never seen explored before. However, I really did not enjoy any of it. The language used made me continuously cringe and I almost gagged at one point because just no. The wording was repetitive to the point that I'm sure about 60% of the book is the same 30 words repeated in different sequences and all of those words made me cringe and roll my eyes every time they were repeated. So as I said above, there was a good story and I'm sure some people will like it but it was for sure not my cup of tea.
DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS BOOK. This is one of the best spicy/sexy books I have ever read. It was like the author read my mind, everything I would have wanted to happen next, happened. I love the medical setting and grad school stuff because it grounds it in a way, and then everything else is just 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Off the charts.
This was steamy quick read. Nothing really deep or angsty. Some of the dialogue was ehh but if you’re looking for an interesting plot and steam this is a good one. Just don’t go in expecting something deep (nothing wrong with this).
If you go into this knowing it’s a sex fest that is on repeat you’ll love it. The ending is predictable and everything is told from Callie’s point of view. 3 boys 3 girls 3 doors all sex deprived med students let the fun begin!
