Isabel has proved to be invaluable to Micah and his firm for years. So when an important client assumed they were in a relationship Micah went along with it. Isabel finally agreed to their fake relationship knowing how hard it was going to be since she kept her feelings to herself. He just find out about her secret. Little did she know that Micah also had feelings that he ignored.

Micah by Nikki Rome is book Two in The Corsetti Empire Series. This is the story of Isabel Diaz 'Izzy' and Micah Corsetti. This can be a standalone book if you wish to do so. Isabel has helped Micah rebuild his family business after his father about destroyed it with illegal activities. Now after about 7 years the company is doing good but Micah has dulled of the Playbook lifestyle. Isabel has always had feelings for Micah but didn't act of it due to their friendship and working relationship in addition to her thinking he wouldn't return those feelings. But when they are mistake by a client to be in a relationship they fake it to get the job done but both start to show they have feeling for the other. This was a great friends to lover and work relationship romance. I do plan on reading more from this author.

Micah is a playboy billionaire, who works hard to keep his business legal and profitable. For the last seven years Izzy has worked for him and become invaluable to his business, and his life. They are platonic friends, but they have both been fighting their feelings for eachother. Everyone thinks they are an item and they are always putting people straight. When a wealthy couple look to move to their investment firm and mistakes them for a couple they role with it and end up in a fake relationship to secure the business. The story evolves from there.
This is the second book in the Corsetti Empire Series. It can be read as a standalone (this is how I read it, it didn't take anything away from the story, but I am definitely going to go back and read Luca now).
This is a great little billionaire boss, fake relationship romance with secrets and lies on both sides. It unravelled well, and was written in a way that kept you interested.
The heat in this book is excellent, well paced, detailed enough to remain hot but not too much, explores kink in an accessible and exciting way mixed in with some vanilla. The lake/swamp scene is pure panty melting heat. This book was an enjoyable read.

To pull off a big account they enter a fake relationship but the chemistry between them is high and they both have secrets they've never told each other. Will they be able to get past their trust issues and finally find happiness.
This was well written and the story flowed. The author talks about everyday topics which makes this series relatable.

I am voluntarily leaving this review. Nikki Rome has stolen my heart with this story. I wondered if the series could get better and it did with this book! It was well written and the characters were relatable. The amount of drama and suspense was perfect.
Micah and Izzy’s chemistry was off the charts AMAZING! The fact that they have known each other for years gave them an advantage. I loved how sweet and possessive he was toward her. I loved that their sex kinks matched each other and it was…oh my steamy!
I can’t wait to see what is in store next for this series. Nikki Rome is definitely riding up the ladder on my favorite author list!

This was a great story about two mismatched people in a corporate world.
Micah's playboy ways catch up so that him and Isabel lends a hit of respectability to his reputation. Their attraction is strong but it's not really a good match.
Well written, intense a little drama and lots of steam. Nikki Rome writes a compelling story.

This is the second book in the Corsetti Empire Anthology Series. It can be read alone or with the first book in the series. This book was really good! I enjoy the world that the author has built and I really like these characters in particular. The plot isn’t anything ground breaking or new and it can be a bit predictable at times but it’s a solid take on the billionaire boss trope. Especially if you like your romances sweet.
The spice is excellent especially towards the end of the book…. The lake scene is 🥵🥵🥵. I definitely will be picking up the third book in the series and I would recommend it to my friends. However I don’t think it’s a book I’ll be picking up to reread anytime soon.

Micah has been working his behind off trying to rebuild the family company after his father came very close to torpedoing it with his less than legal activities. Isabel has been helping him make it a success, and both are attracted to the other, but neither are coming off that information. He's been a playboy but lately, he's starting to not really feel that life but it isn't until the biggest potential client the company has had under his reign, so it's not hard to fall into a fake relationship with Isabel for that account. Now, the sparks are going to be harder for them to deny so it's not too long before the fake starts to become real. This story held my attention from the first page so I was able to easily finish it in one sitting because it was impossible to put down. I'm super excited for more of this series as I sit here waiting impatiently already so now it's your turn. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is the second book in this amazing series and is Micah and Isobel / Izzy’s story. Micah is a wealthy playboy, who has worked hard to make his family’s company successful after his fathers’ shady dealing, and Izzy has been right there working along side him. When a wealthy client assumes that Micah and Izzy in a relationship, they go along with it. These two have feeling for each other but have kept them to themselves, and the chemistry between them is combustible and undeniable. This is a well written friends / lovers’ romance story, with drama, secrets, suspense, emotions, intrigue, and love, which leads to a steamy and entertaining page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Micah has taken the reins of the family business that he father almost destroyed with illegal activities. Micah had help from Izzy to bring it back better than it was before. Both have feelings for each other but figure they are not reciprocated... but they are. Slowly, comments give way to passion and they are explosive. Loved the characters, their backstories and banter. Heartwarming when the right steps are taken between the two. Plenty of drama, secrets, surprises, steam and much more. Great ending. This series just keeps getting better.

She had a secret she couldn’t tell because she was trying to get her life back in order. Micah was cleaning up his father’s business. They both knew they could cross the line. What will happen to Micah and Izzy when he pretended she was his fiancé to win a big client? Their secrets don’t stay secrets for long.

This is the first Nikki Rome book I've read and it's really amazing. I might have found another auto-read author. Micah and Izzy's story was so well-written, I couldn't put it down. I was so invested in the story and the suspense kept my attention. But also these two! I loved the two of them, their chemistry is amazing and undeniable. And they're just so sweet and hot together. I loved it!

A hot, steamy and lies. A fast read. Absolutely love Izzy and Micah relationship. If you enjoy coworkers pretending to be engaged, then ultimately feelings are revealed. This is the book. The first book "Luca" is awesome and this falls in line with the plot. They have to pretend to be engaged to land an important account. Can't wait to read the next book.

The individual storylines of each of the main characters were interesting and I enjoyed the interaction among the characters. Overall a good story. However, I think there's a tipping point when it comes to portraying domination and pain as part of a healthy relationship and that is why I did not rate this story higher.

Another fantastic instalment in the series. Deliciously dark and dangerous. Great characters, and a well written storyline. Would recommend. Cannot wait for the next book.
