After taking a creative writing class in college in 1998, Jon Fischer knew someday he wanted to write a novel. Years later, in 2016, he had a dream about the sea level rising to the peaks of the mountains, that ultimately sparked the idea for Alpine Tide.

Jon graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in Communications and a master’s degree in Business Administration. During the past two decades, he has worked in real estate and development executive roles for companies such as Payless Shoes, Papa Murphy's Pizza and Wetzel's Pretzels.

During his frequent business travel, he wrote the bulk of Alpine Tide on airplanes and in hotel rooms when he couldn't sleep due to time zone shifts. Alpine Tide is the first installment of his debut trilogy, The Second Moon Trilogy. The second installment, Rogue Watcher is slated to be released in early 2023. The final installment, Falling Moon, will follow.

In addition to writing, Jon enjoys running, watching sports, serving in his church and community, and exploring National Parks. He lives in the Pacific Northwest with his wife and three children. Learn more about Jon and the Alpine Tide Universe at www.alpinetide.com.

I really enjoyed the combination of romance and action. All the ups and downs had me feeling all the emotions. It is well written and I cannot wait for book two!!

I thought the book lacked a bit of character development and was plot heavy, but you'd be surprised at how much I've talked about this book with others since reading it! It's an exciting, thinking book, and if you like sci-fi, you'll probably like it. Jon was my neighbor when we were middle-school kids so it was fun seeing the common cultural and geographic influences sneak up in the book here and there. I'll be listening to the second one as soon as I have another Audible credit!
