Year and Brisk have been in love and down bad for each other since they were walking hand in hand to the candy store lady! Brisk made sacrifices to give Year the soft life she deserved and when things were good between them, they were exceptional. Unfortunately tragedy struck and they couldn’t quite recover.
Year said she had to put herself first and at the time she couldn’t see past the hurt that Brisk would endure as a result. It’s been 365 days since they last spoke to or been in each others presence and on NYE of all days, their paths crossed in the most random way.
Lisa, you ate down as the girlies say with these 33 pages!! Not you doing in 33 pages what some authors can’t accomplish in 200 pages!! This was such a full and complete story! We got emotion, drama, background, history!! I mean you gave what was needed in these 33 pages and while I would LOVE an update on this couple or even a longer book, nothing was lacking for me! Sometimes all you need is a few short pages to get the job done and Lisa accomplished what she set out to do almost perfectly! 4.5⭐️’s

Well, just damn! You packed a hell of a story in dem 33 pages ma'am! I felt for Year, after the losses she suffered! But, to just run out on Briston like that was wrong sistah! The way that man catered and loved on you, the two of you were supposed to face this head on together! Running into Briston like she did was jarring to her system, and he let her ass have it too! 😂 But, after learning what was about to go down, she came through like a rider; just like he taught her! The love is still there for these two, and I hope we hear from them again soon! 👍👍👍

Student becomes the teacher
Brisk was hurt and didn't mind expressing it. That hurt almost costed him. Never be so much in your feelings that your judgement becomes cloudy. This author know she can capture your attention and give you so much in such a short story, that's not easy to do. Great job!!!

short , sweet & to the got damn point
I love what Lisa did with this story. It was as if we already had read the back story of their life. It felt like you got a full length novel in just a couple pages. I was left with no questions nor that unfulfilling feeling that i needed more. Tbh i simply wanted more because i didn’t want it to end. Good job…..

Lisa freaking Austin
Ladyyyyy, you just snuck this one on in there. No warning no nothing. Okay, keep that energy!!! Lol but foreal, anytime I want a great book that’s thugged all the way out AND cheesy(gives all the feels; love) I can ALWAYS count on you. You gone pop yo ishhh every👏🏽dang👏🏽time👏🏽. Definitely recommend 10/10.

This was a great short story. Year running away from her pain never stop her from loving and needing Brisk. I'm glad she was in the right place at the right time. I hope this is a story in the making Brisk and Year seems like they can be a powerful couple. Can't wait for your next book.

Year and Brisk
She ran because she couldn't take the loss of their daughter and being in their home! He called her for a whole year with no response. New Year's Eve she was his chauffeur and he let her have it for the two years she was missing! The love they had for each other was still there but, hurt was hiding within it! A good quick read!

Great Short Read!
I think folks forget men have feelings too! We are so sure of their role as the provider, protector and more that I think folks forget that they care too! Nice short story! I loved Brisk he got her allll the way together in that “Chauffer” lol! He didn’t hold back and said exactly what she needed to hear. she forgot to pick up his pieces too! Great story!

Yes!! Loved it!!! Year was hurting but so was Briston. She didn’t realize how much she hurt him until coming face to face with him. But ultimately this face to face was her wake-up call and his saving grace.

Man this book was short and sweet.
I felt Briston emotions thru the pages OMG.

Taught well!!!

Im very impressed. This book was quick and straight to the point but ut was still good. It wasn't annoyingly drawn out and the storyline made perfect sense not leaving you with additional questions.
