2.5 rounded up. What makes this is how utterly blase the protagonist is - he ignores a pop-up on his computer, gets zapped to another world, and then just...kinda goes with it. He's a little confused by his overpoweredness, but he rightly figures that he's stuck, so he may as well make the best of it. Hardly ground-breaking, but just different enough to be a decent read.

J’ai une vraie passion pour les mangas de chez Delcourt, en particulier les couvertures. Je les trouve toujours incroyablement belle! Je ne saurais l’expliquer mais je trouve qu’elles ont toujours ce petit truc en plus. Elles sont souvent très colorée et je ne sais pas mais en tout cas je suis toujours fan de leurs couvertures. Même si on ne juge pas un livre à sa couverture bien sûr, il est toujours agréable lorsque celle ci est vraiment belle, ça nous donne encore plus envie de découvrir cette oeuvre. Et ici c’est clairement le cas. J’avais plutôt hâte de me plonger dans cette lecture. J’aime toujours découvrir des isekai, même si j’ai toujours une petite appréhension de peur d’avoir affaire à une histoire qui a été vu vu et revu un million de fois.
On va suivre le personnage de Sano, c’est un employé d’une société esclavagiste qui l’exploite sans aucun scrupules. Un soir, alors qu’il travailel de chez lui, il reçoit une notification sur son ordinateur qui lui annonce qu’il a été invoqué dans un autre monde. Il est tellement fatiguée à cause de son travail qu’il ne comprend pas forcément ce qu’il se passe. Et avant même qu’il ne réalise quoi que ce soit, il se retrouve propulsé dans un monde qui a tout du monde des jeux vidéos.Il a même une fenêtre qui lui indique ses statistiques et ses compétences. Même si les slimes sont connus pour être des créatures faibles, Sano va pouvoir compter sur ces petites bêtes bleues, En apprivoisant une de ces créatures et après avoir étudier différents grimoires, il finit par acquérir de l’expérience et du savoir jusqu’à atteindre le statut d’érudit.
J’ai beaucoup aimé ce premier tome. Même si il ne révolutionne pas le genre de l’isekai, ça reste tout de même une très bonne histoire. Ce premier tome est vraiment prometteur et j’ai hâte de découvrir la suite. J’ai surtout énormément apprécié le personnage de Sano. Il est complètement dans sa bulle, il ne comprend rien à ce qui lui arrive, il est complètement à côté de la plaque et ça rend tout ça tellement drôle! Le voir patauger comme ça dans « sa nouvelle vie » c’est vraiment hilarant. Rien qu’à regarder sa tête c’est drôle! Il a toujours un peu cet air complètement béta et juste voir sa tête ça me fait rire.
J’ai hâte de découvrir la suite de cette histoire qui, je n’en doute pas, va être vraiment excellente à suivre. Elle s’annonce vraiment prometteuse et j’ai surtout hâte de voir comment il va continuer d’évoluer dans ce monde digne d’un jeu vidéo. L’univers est génial à découvrir, le personnage est excellent et je trouve que c’est un manga avec pas mal d’humour et ça c’est vraiment agréable!

On le félicite, car il a la possibilité d’être réincarné dans un autre monde et on lui demande s’il veut accepter ou non, en cas de non-réponse, il sera automatiquement réincarné. Pensant à un virus, il ne répond pas et cherche une solution, quand d’un coup, pouf, il se retrouve dans un autre monde.
Au début, il est persuadé bien entendu d’être en train de rêve, il pense s’être écroulé de fatigue à cause de tout le travail qu’il a. Pourtant, il comprendra rapidement qu’il a atterri dans un nouveau monde et qu’il a des compétences complètement cheater !

I really liked this. Fun and entertaining. Love the little slimes that Yuji tamed. I got quite a kick out of it and I want to continue it.

Ganz guter Start, nicht total neu aber könnte was werden. Die Hauptfigur ist etwas flach, bietet aber Raum für Entwicklung.

I don't know if it's because I don't read a lot of isakai or if I was just in the mood for something different, but I really quite enjoyed the hell out of this manga! The main character is funny without meaning to be, aloof with a "I guess this is what I'm doing now" attitude and the story moves along at a good pace. I liked the character design and if you're not familiar with isakai I think it does a good job at letting the reader know how isakai's work without actually feeling lectured. I can't wait for the second volume!

Meh. Not bad but kind of…bland? He’s super OP, through no work of his own, it’s just kind of handed to him. There is no sense of urgency, though it is somewhat funny to see the reactions of the other humans to his insane OP abilities. There is a mystery dangled and the endings have just enough of a cliff hanger to make you want to read the next one despite it being a work night, but not so strong of a cliff hanger that you HAVE to pick up the next one. It’s a delicate balance and this book hits that at least.

Il s’agit d’un Isekai, qui nous transporte dans un autre monde, tout comme son personnage principal, remplit de magies et de monstres divers. Ainsi, vous pouvez découvrir la série dans plusieurs formats : Manga, Light Novel et même en série animée (prévue pour 2022).
Comme pour la série « La Sorcière invincible tueuse de Slime depuis 300 ans » le tome commence par une petite scène dans notre monde avec le protagoniste principal. Et, une fois de plus, la surcharge de travail est évoquée, et bien évidemment, le protagoniste considère donc que la situation qui lui arrive est due à cette surcharge. Il ne croit pas vraiment à un changement de monde au début du tome, et j’ignore si cette opinion change par la suite puisque plus rien n’est évoqué à ce sujet au cours de ce tome. Malgré ça, Yûji, le protagoniste, décidera de faire comme si ce qui lui arrivait n’était qu’un jeu ou un rêve dont il finirait par sortir en se réveillant. Très naïf et clairement pas sociable (ou pas doué en la matière), il a également un comportement de personnage assez blasé…
Ces capacités sociales donneront plusieurs situations assez drôle, puisqu’il a du mal à comprendre le sens des paroles des autres personnages… En autre point comique, on peut retrouver les slimes, que je trouve bien mis en avant au cours de ce premier tome. Certains ont même un détail qui permet de les identifier, comme une moustache ou un bandeau sur un œil. Leurs capacités sont également bien utilisées, et ses petits être jusqu’alors très souvent inutile, se révèlent en réalité très important dans l’évolution de Yûji. Dernier point pouvant être considéré comme « drôle » : la réaction des divers personnages lorsque Yûji décrit ses capacités ou lorsqu’il réalise des exercices pratiques… Pour résumer, il a l’air d’être le type de personnage qui sera super fort dès le départ, je suis donc très curieuse de savoir comment il sera exploité, et si malgré tout, il aura une certaine évolution au fil des tomes.

2.5 stars. This was fun initially, but quickly got boring because the protagonist is WAY too powerful and that's more or less all there is to the plot. Because the protagonist easily defeats any enemies or problems with his rule-defying OP magic, there's no sense of tension or investment in his journey. He's not struggling or overcoming anything. Additionally, his characterisation is very thin. He's super detached and doesn't seem to care about anything he's doing, so there isn't even an emotional investment in him as a character. There's no growth or internal struggle or dream that he's chasing, no desire to be a hero and save others from danger- he just roams around encountering more people to nonchalantly awe with his power.
Overall, a shame that this didn't develop any more depth as it went, because it could have been really fun. I persevered to around (volume 7ish?), but even with a generic, shadowy organisation trying to end the world, there just wasn't enough hook to keep reading.

When abused, overworked corporate office worker Yuji suddenly finds himself in a fantasy world, he initially thinks he's dreaming, that maybe he passed out from overwork again, so spends the first few pages casually trying to off himself, somehow thinking that would wake him up and get him back to all the work he has to do at his job, to my amusement. He soon finds out he has a talent for taming slimes, he's not dreaming and he's actually here, and that he can quickly and unexpectedly become ludicrously overpowered via his slimes. His blasé, "this might as well happen" attitude from there forward can be funny.
There's nothing groundbreaking here and I wouldn't buy this series to own, but it's amusing and worth borrowing from the library.

I may not be in the target market for this manga, and people who have seen the anime series may enjoy it more. But I was a bit disappointed.
I've read or seen other "isekai" stories and enjoyed them ("KonoSuba" and "I've Been Killing Slimes For 300 Years And Maxed Out My Level" and a few others can't recall at the moment). But I felt that this manga had little new to offer, even though I did laugh out loud once and admired a few of the illustrations.
At least it was free on the Libby app.

But I felt that this manga had little new to offer, even though I did laugh out loud once and admired a few of the illustrations.

*The MC is OP af but he is really chill and practical, has common sense and is not stupid. His OPness is does not have that overtly, speshul snowflake vibe. Well, the people around him treat him like he's godlike with his OPness but, with all his sturdy and chill personality, it's grounded and not all over the place.
*The story is also really good.
*Everything is balanced.
*No unnecessary fanservice (most of manga like this have that unnecessary, sexually-toned fanservice that always makes me think that the author is compensating for a lack of *something* in their life)
*Mini-arc stories that contribute to the major arc A+

Mostly I just want the novel to be translated and published
I really only bought this because I've read fan translations of both the novel and the manga, and I want to show the author and mangaka some support. I'm not a huge fan of manga as ebooks in general. The story is fun, the art is solid but not spectacular, and it's worth reading. I'd buy multiple volumes of the novel if it was available in English, but probably not any more of the manga.

To short, but funny to me!
Come for the slimes, stay for the awesome faces of shock when the protagonist busts out his magic. Like the other reviews say, the main character is very much wage-slave-drone like, but I found that hilarious instead of off-putting, and I absolutely love cute slimes. Lol! I wish there was a bit more length or meat to the story, but I will definitely but the next volume.

The protagonist is a bit causal about finding himself in another world (maybe the series' true message is truly about the emotional toll of being a wage slave) and is extremely overpowered. Luckily, the OP-ness is played more for laughs than having to watch someone throw their weight around and his ignorance about the new world he finds himself in prevents him steamrolling every problem.

So far it's a good cup book. I'm liking the main op character and this world. And so far no fan service ecchi garbage, which I love. It's nothing special so far, just another good isekai. But an isekai that doesn't have giant boobs and panty shots everywhere? That's a great manga in my opinion.
If you are like me and a fan of cute slimes in isekais then I recommend checking this one out.

Pretty standard start to an isekai, the MC as it stands is clueless at how powerful he is in this new world he finds himself in. There hasn't been much to really get into. The last panel does look to get stuck into something in the next volume? So, I'm curious about how the series will develop from here. Decent start.

Ви ж любите їх, так?!), але це в першому томі не має ніякого сенсу, бо герой просто качається та вже має тренувально-турнірну арку. Героя розкривають поверхнево, мотивація в нього “дають-бери”, меріс’юшність з будь-якого боку. Хоч би імена своїм слаймам дав…

Different concept. Like op characters, enjoy that he is learning as he go. The only problem for me is that it is too short and the next chapter is going to take some time to come out. Make him stronger😊.

Pretty funny
My Isekai Life is in the sub-genre of OP MC who doesn't realize it, which is maybe not the most original thing ever, but it got me to laugh out loud several times. And the slimes are playful and cute. Pretty happy with this one, and I'll definitely read more.

2.5 - same review for the series up to and including volume 10. The are is good and the story isn't too bad, but it's also quite bland and there aren't very many characters to get to know. It's an easy read when there is a lot going on around you and you don't have to focus too much.

I was going to give this 2 stars because the lead is boring and the story has no stakes but the proctor had some great expressions in the final chapter so its okay.

Just started reading this series and before you know it I was on the 18th book. It was a simple story with an overpowered protagonist but the mystery behind the characters kept me going.
