Finnish Hockey player, Heikki, is here enjoying his team and figuring out his sexuality. He's found a man who turns him on and he's confused. GFY, first M/M times.
* Heikki, tall, muscled, blonde and blue eyed,
is like a beautiful Viking. Loved his hamster, Morton.
* Jamie is a transgender man, post surgeries,
dark hair, beard, who talks to plants, is an IT Tech, very organized. His Grandpa Bruce has always backed him, and is still awesome.
I liked Heikki's goofiness and language issues, and he's sincere and fun.
They met, and get around to talking, and have a date, then Heikki is injured and Jaime helps him out.
Their first kiss rocks each other.
Heikki has done his homework on what to expect from his trans man, as they say, knowledge is good, when it comes to sexy times. It benefits them both.
Later when his new information comes into their sexy times, it's mind-blowing and hot !

Premesso che questo è uno spin-off della saga originale, e che i protagonisti sono diversi, l’ho trovata una chicca arricchente che dà la giusta conclusione.
Jamie e Heikko sono un regalo inatteso in questa serie che ho amato molto fin dal primo libro. Li avevamo già intravisti nel precedente volume, l’ultimo dedicato a Mike e Bryn, che ora hanno la loro famiglia felice.
Jamie e Heikko sono bellissimi insieme, anche se la loro relazione è travagliata e complicata, e soprattutto devono accettare che niente è facile quando si ama e che si devono affrontare tanti problemi: Jamie ha sofferto molto nelle relazioni passate per la sua transessualità e teme che anche Heikko scappi da lui, come tutti gli uomini con cui ha provato a uscire in precedenza, finendo per ferirlo; mentre il nostro giocatore deve fare chiarezza con se stesso e accettare la propria bisessualità, cosa che fino a questo momento non aveva mai pensato di essere.

Carino come il resto della serie, anche se negli ultimi volumi ho notato qualche refuso di troppo e due termini che a oggi sono considerati offensivi (bisex e di colore, va usato bisessuale e nero). Ora non so se la versione inglese è di qualche anno fa quando ancora venivano usati e il traduttore ha lasciato come c'era scritto o se è stato un errore (in buona fede) del traduttore.

That was nice. If you're a fan of the According to Liam novels you already know Jamie and Heikki . It's only right that these two get their own story - but if you haven't read the series, you can still read Tangled in Clouds as a standalone.
V.L. Locey does a nice job with Jamie's character, and Heikki's coming out. Well done.

Dans la série « Selon Liam », s’il y a bien un personnage qui m’a particulièrement interpellée c’est bien Jamie.
Cet homme porte en lui une sensibilité et une fragilité, résultats d’un passé compliqué. Sa relation avec son grand-père est attendrissante et symbolise tout l’amour qu’ils se portent mutuellement.
Heikki, grand timide, doit faire face à une réalité sur lui-même qu’il ne soupçonnait pas. Un coup de pouce du destin va le bousculer et le pousser à agir.
Ce duo unique en son genre nous emporte dans leur histoire 100 % guimauve, mais qui leur correspond tellement bien. Il y a beaucoup d’écoute, de bienveillance et d’amour dans cette nouvelle. Cet ajout à la série d’origine est une vraie bouffée d’oxygène.
Nous croisons Mike et Bryn au détour des pages de cette nouvelle pour notre plus grand plaisir.

“Avvolti dalle nuvole” è la novella che conclude definitivamente la serie “Secondo Liam” di V.L. Locey e rappresenta il giusto completamento della storia tra Jamie ed Heikko che avevamo iniziato ad intravedere nel precedente volume. Jamie Palmer ed Heikko Keto sono due adorabili protagonisti, due personalità abbastanza complesse che si collocano agli antipodi sia nel carattere che nel fisico, ma che nel loro rapporto riescono ad amalgamarsi alla perfezione.
Jamie è un graphic designer di talento, collega e amico di Mike, con cui ha deciso di abbandonare la precedente compagnia per aprire un’attività in proprio. In quanto uomo transgender, ha sempre dovuto combattere contro i pregiudizi, sia nella sua famiglia che nelle relazioni sentimentali. Uno dei pochi familiari che lo ha sempre sostenuto è nonno Bruce, che lo ha aiutato anche finanziariamente nel percorso di transizione e con cui condivide la passione per le vecchie commedie romantiche. Ragazzo determinato e intraprendente, non è disposto a essere nuovamente un esperimento per un etero confuso, ma la cotta per il bellissimo difensore dei Ravens, Heikko, non accenna a diminuire.
Heikko, altissimo e muscoloso giocatore di hockey di origini finlandesi, è tanto imponente nell’aspetto fisico quanto timido nel carattere. Sta cercando di farsi valere nella squadra dei Ravens, ma deve affrontare insieme ai compagni un periodo di gioco non particolarmente brillante. Poco più che ventenne, ha sempre pensato di essere etero, ma il colpo di fulmine per l’attraente Jamie lo ha destabilizzato e confuso, spingendolo a porsi parecchie domande sulla propria sessualità, a cui, grazie anche ai consigli di Bryn, sembra aver trovato qualche risposta. La sua innata timidezza, tuttavia, non lo aiuta a cercare di approcciarsi a Jamie e a fargli comprendere il suo interesse, ma dovrà tentare di fare qualcosa alla svelta se non vorrà perdere l’uomo di cui è ormai innamorato.
Questa novella si è rivelata una lettura davvero gradevole e ricca di dolcezza, nel consueto stile di V.L. Locey, anche se, considerata la loro complessità, i due protagonisti avrebbero meritato diverse pagine in più, in modo da intravedere anche altri aspetti delle loro vicende personali.
In ogni caso, l’autrice ha ben delineato l’evoluzione della storia di Heikko e Jamie, che, grazie a eventi fortuiti e incoraggiamenti esterni, riescono a superare le rispettive barriere e ad avvicinarsi sempre di più per poter scoprire i reciproci sentimenti. Heikko, pur con il suo modo goffo, si rivela un ragazzo affabile, premuroso, pronto ad ascoltare e a realizzare i desideri della persona che gli sta rubando il cuore. Jamie, con la sua sensibilità e l’innata propensione ad aiutare gli altri, non può fare a meno, nel momento del bisogno, di stare accanto all’enorme e tenero difensore, con cui scopre di avere molte affinità e al quale si sente sempre più legato.
Di questa novella ho amato molto anche le diverse citazioni cinematografiche, che mi hanno riportato alla mente vecchie commedie romantiche che mi hanno appassionato fin da adolescente e che rappresentano per Jamie ed Heikko un’occasione per intensificare il loro legame.

a sweet, heartwarming romance

Tangled in Clouds is a heartwarming, sweet romance from the same universe as Locey’s The According to Liam series. Both Jamie Parker and Pittsburgh Ravens D-man Heikki Keto are from that series and now get their own love story.
It’s a romance that’s barely a mention there but here it gets the author’s full attention. Jamie Parker is one of Mike’s good friends and a trans man who’s had awful luck with relationships. The readers have gotten to know and care about Jamie (enough to ask for this story) so it’s wonderful to be able to have such a direct connection to him now.
Heikki Keto is plain out adorable. That Finnish D-man who ran home after finding himself attracted to Jamie is now ready to admit he’s bisexual. Finding that pushing his attraction to Jamie away doesn’t make it less so, he’s back in Pittsburgh to play hockey and figure out exactly where his future lies.
Locey packs a lot into this small novella. I often wished for a longer book because Jamie and Heikki are a great couple that I enjoyed seeing together. Having them go from 60’s rom com movie night to declarations of love seems fast. Although Locey is good at it.
Morton the hamster was a hilarious addition. As was Grandpa.
Jamie communicating his insecurities about their relationship and the expectations for sex was realistic and believable. It made what they had feel grounded.
I just wish we had some of that same detail given towards Heikki coming out to his team and teammates, still a big deal in the NHL. That was passed over a bit quickly.
I’m recommending this as a terrific sweet romance and the entire According to Liam series.

Devo però dire che mi hanno conquistato la sua dolcezza, la gentilezza, l’animo limpido e un po’ ingenuo. Impossibile non volerlo coccolare! Jamie non è da meno, ma amo ogni personaggio creato da questa autrice.
È stato bello rivedere i nostri vecchi eroi, qui in veste di preziosi aiutanti.
Da leggere come completamento di una bellissima serie, ma anche da solo se cercate una storia breve ma dolcissima.

V.L. Locey has produced another amazing story i adore this series, and hope they are many more novels to come.
As always the An According to Liam books are filled to capacity with love humour and romance. Tangled in the clouds was just perfect.
I wish it had been longer hopefully there will be more to come.
It sensitively addressed some of the issues that transgender people are dealing with in society today.
Jamie & Heikki's story is beautiful, Jamie cautious about his feelings, hopes and dreams. Heikki confused about his feelings towards a man.
Its a well written thoughtful bi-awakening romance.

This book is Simply Wonderful!!! I've loved every book in this series, and this one - different from the others in character focus -- is just LUSCIOUS! Jaime is a great guy - i knew that coming in. Heikke is So Adorable!!! A 6'5 blond Finnish, hockey-playinng, Giant. And possibly the sweetest man ever. He has never been attracted to a dude, or the idea of a dude, before....but, Jaime is not just any dude.
Truly loved hangin out with these guys!
Looking forward to More and More and More of the "Chronicles of Liam et al".

Ho riletto tutta la Serie ed è stato bello ritrovare Mike, Liam, Bryn e tutta la famiglia Kneller-Mettler.
Mi è piaciuta che anche Jamie, (amico trans e socio di Mike), abbia avuto la sua storia.
Jamie non è stato molto fortunato con gli altri uomini ed è rimasto deluso e ferito.
Conoscere il nuovo difensore dei Ravens, il timido Heikko, Jamie, forse, sente di aver trovato il suo uomo.
Ma purtroppo Heikko, già timido e goffo, è confuso nel cercare di capire chi è cerca di rimanere amico di Jamie.
Riusciranno a superare queste difficoltà?

✔ Letto! Dovrei proprio ringraziare per questa storia. Jamie si meritava la sua conclusione.
Dopo averlo conosciuto nei libri precedenti e sapere di tutti i suoi problemi e lotta per essere chi è, le delusioni una dopo l'altra dei suoi precedenti partner, arriva nella sua vita il gigante buono, bellissimo, goffo e timido finlandese compagno di squadra di Bryn.
Heykko è tutto quello che Jamie si merita. E vice versa.
Una storia proprio molto dolce, corta al punto giusto e si gusta che è una bellezza.

I've read every V L Locey book I can get my hands on and as usual she doesn't disappoint. My only reason for 4 stars (I wanted to do 4.5) rather than 5 is I wanted there to be more. I was glad to see Jaime finally get his HEA and Heikki discovering his bisexuality which I kind of feel went a bit too fast for me. Bonus points for having a plant named for Paula Abdul and Morton the Hamster. Made me almost want to get a hamster of my own.

I love the According to Liam series and it was an extra delight to have this little spin-off to read. I was able to see some of Bryn and Mike as an extra bonus. But following the new love of Heikki and Jamie was just what I needed with a dual POV, no angst, romantic, and funny story. Really loved it!

Aspettavo di leggere di questi due ma sono rimasta un po’ delusa da fatto che nonostante ci fosse del tenero tra i due Heiko sia scappato in Norvegia e continuato la relazione precedente per paura e indecisione. Capisco che con un carattere come il suo e soprattutto la sua timidezza sia stato difficile affrontare un tale cambiamento ma comunque sta cosa mi ha fatta un po’ incavolare.

Sweet romance
Ms Locey does have a way with words. Only a short story, but beautifully written. A slow burn romance with two adorable lovers, and a cute hamster called Morton, sign me up. The ending was gorgeous. A totally feel good, uplifting, fairy tale romance 😍

these two….so swoony
Jamie and Heikki are so adorable together. I am usually not a huge fan of Bi awakening but Heikki seems more pan. He loves Jamie….for who he is….for every thing he is.

Sadly was not a fan of this story compared to the other stories, just did not feel the storyline flow or the characters and the way they came together. Little growth and felt like things just did not make sense at times.
