I love it!! The FMC is a bit psycho, with reason. You know what they say, monsters aren't born their made. She was hurt and is now getting her revenge in the most killer way possible. Knox and Kai are her best friends that are left broken and hurt when she leaves. I love their relationship, spicy step brother M/M moments.
I couldn't put it down, i was so immersed in her story. You could feel her pain, her anger was strong. As much as anyone said she was a psycho, she was just human. Her hurt was raw but her revenge was sweet.

I don't even know where to start with this book. It had a decent plot. Revenge. But the writing wasn't stellar. And how are these 20 yr old kids running around murdering people and not get caught or even be asked questions by the police. It made no sense. The ending was dumb. It was a cliffy. And if there's more books I will not be wasting my time.

Have you ever felt that the tension and angst, that overflow from between the lines of the book you are reading, might just...well... asphyxiate you??
This was the effect of Selina Marie’s upcoming book.
Eva, Kai, Knox. The best of friends. A three-piece puzzle. They were meant to always be together but one night destroyed a friendship that was supposed to stand every challenge. Eva loses her boys, her humanity...lets the darkness that stayed hidden within her soul take control and her only purpose becomes destroying the ones that destroyed her. But when the opportunity occurs, can she end the boys that meant everything to her?
I cannot put into words how much I loved this story, a story that gave me the chillest of the chills after a few pages.
„You're right about that, baby. You don't need anybody, but you want somebody. You want us. [...] you do belong to us, just like we belong to you. Always have, always will.”
Not going to say more, everyone should go in blind to reading this, expect a dark, fascinating story about a vile Babydoll who seeks revenge, a twisted forbidden romance between bisexual brothers, murder, mystery, sex, and everything in between.
I absolutely recommend.
PS. Am I naive to think that we might get more of these characters in the future??

Eva, Knox, and Kai shared a friendship from childhood to young adult betrayal changes these friends into enemies. Eva is out for revenge against those who hurt her in a horrific event, and she’s including her former best friends. This story is retribution, discovery and thriller, and mending their throuple relationship.
A previous sweet Eva transforms to confident psychotic as a result of the traumatic deception; and former protective best friends, Kai and Knox, into jerks until they discover the truth. A commonly played theme, so of course, it was just a matter of time until they went from enemies to lovers. They became stronger lovers complementing each other in their now collective darkness as well as violence, blood, and revelry the guys never revealed in the past.
The story is steamy, lots of MM particularly the first half of the book, overall 3.5/5. I enjoyed the other woman drama and a bit of dominating FF. Pace is medium flow and very scene descriptive, additionally, a bit of telling writing style documenting what characters are feeling or doing. I had a difficult time distinguishing between Kai and Knox, depiction of individual behavioral differences between the two antiheroes. Physical qualities were clear and well-described, but while in their individual points of view it was a bit hard to know one stepbrother from the other. Admittedly they had a lot in common. I liked the forbidden aspects of the book — stepbrothers and stepsister romance, untraditional pet, enforcer in a prominent crime business. And besides those, there were twists, expected though; these thriller elements added to the entertainment of the storyline. Expect some graphic violence.
Overall, good read with a strong, relatable heroine, hot antiheroes who will do anything for their girl, and happy for now ending.

Eva, Knox and Kai used to be inseparable, until they weren’t. Gone is the young, and carefree Girl Eva once was, will things ever be the same?
I can’t even spoil this book for you and I’m pissed because I’m so in love with these characters (not that I would anyways, but you need to read it for yourself, and you can’t yet because it’s not out! Okay now I’m just being mean 😇) There is a lot of darkness in this book (yum) but will everything come to light? You’ll see 😏

I went into this book not knowing much about it but saw a lot of the tropes I liked and knew I would love it.
This book has a ton of triggers so check them out it is a dark read.
The author did a fantastic job of showing the present and past and having it all flow. It is multi point of view and it really helps us to see where and why things happen in the book.
Selina did such a great job throughout this story with making the reader feel so many emotions. The heartbreak you feel, the sadness, the love, the psychotic etc.
Eva went from being a sweet innocent girl to the complete opposite. She lives alone an hour or so away from her mother and she works in a strip club. She has not been home since she left and is coming home to attend a funeral her mother asked her to come home for.
Once she is back in the place she grew up she finds herself intertwined with her old best friends she hates. Knox and Kia are so mad at Eva that they hate her as well. Often times making it hard to hear or understand what happened in he past for her to leave.
There is so much that goes on in this book you will never really know what is going to happen. Eva is a badass and she uses her sexuality to get people where she wants. Truths need to come out for all of them to heal.
They all find out they are much more alike even after being apart. Eva will seek revenge for what happened to her the question is will Knox and Kia be with her or against her. I recommend checking this out its not a safe read but the three main characters are awesome! I love the guys and we get mm scenes as well as mfm so that’s always a plus for me!

Firstable can we speak about this gorgeous cover? Can’t wait to see and hold between my hands the physical copy.
It’s hard to write a review about this book without any spoiler, becouse you have to jump into their story totally blind.
Selina’s writing style and the storytelling was incredible!! You know when your read about something horrible, but you still have to stop and admire how well-written it was?! This book was my first one from Selina and definitely not the last (actually i already started The Secrets We Keep) She just became my new auto-buy author.
Finally a great RH and/or love triangle /-ish/ book. Everyone is equal in this story, one whole unit. And i need more, i could read several more books about these three (plus !of course! Queen Mal).
If you loved the Mindfvck series by S.T.Abby and The Dare by Harley Laroux you will devour this one for sure. Highly recommend!

Hello dark, depraved, and wanting more! This book isn't for the faint of hearts so if you got triggers go check the TW first.
Wow this is the first book by this author but definitely won't be my last because I'm totally hooked now. I first thought the premise was intriguing but once I started the book I was catapulted into this crazy chaotic world of three individuals that have experienced different experiences of a horrific night that changes them all.
Yes you have three different POV's in this book, which I honestly loved because you get each characters experiences as the story unfolds. So if you like a bit of depravity and taboo in your books then make sure you grab this one! Kai, Knox, and Eva are full of dark surprises till the very end. I will say this book pushes boundaries in the best ways that only a dark romance reader will definitely understand and love. This story is dark and twisted with secrets and lies that has you looking at who and what all really happened that night as each of these characters piece it together.
I had the pleasure of reading this one early and I'm so glad I did because I loved every second of this twisted dark tale and totally want more. I definitely can't wait to dive into more books by Selina now! I highly recommend this book if you love dark, sordid, and depraved storylines because this is an epic one to dive into.

DAMN! That was one hell of a dark, depraved and utterly twisted story! I was absolutely hooked right from page one and could not put it down. This story had my heart in my throat, my nails bit down to the skin and my head spinning over what was transpiring right in front of my eyes. Eva, Knox and Kai take us down a dark rabbit hole filled with depravity, violence, blood, gore and sex, and I never wanted it to end!
Eva is a little bit unhinged, slightly psycho and hell bent on dishing out some much needed bloody revenge. Her emotions bleed off the pages and had my stomach in knots over what was done to her. My heart broke for her over and over again as her pain is slowly revealed. But I was cheering her on when instead of wallowing in misery she transforms herself in one badass killing machine. Then when Knox and Kai come back into her life everything gets a little bit crazier!
The chemistry between the three of them was explosive, titillating and so freaking hot that my panties were completely obliterated! They continually had my toes curling and my v-jj pulsing!!!
This story was really well written with such incredible, damaged and slightly broken characters who you can’t help but love and with a storyline that is suspenseful, violent, bloody, twisted, thrilling and a little bit taboo!

I love dark reads! It’s been far too long since I read a book, that made me question the sanity of an author. This is far from a bad thing. Asphyxiate has “quenched my thirst” for a proper dark can’t put it down but must put it down to process what I just read book! This is the first book I read written by Selina Marie, and it will be FAR from the last! She’s officially on my list of buy first, question/read what it’s about second!
Eva, oh where to start on this “Babydoll”. She shows resilience when most women, people would quit. They would stop and not move forward anymore! She’s determined to make things right that had been wronged. That’s just what she set’s out to do….until you add in Knox and Kai…..*muahh* (Chefs kiss)

Loved the dark themes and pseudo-cest tropes of the book. Check the content warnings for full list of all things dark and that may be a trigger to you. There is MM scenes and also a few FF scenes too.
Eva, Knox, and Kai were all childhood best friends until some misunderstanding at their graduation party caused Eva to leave town due to her trauma. Knox and Kai are stepbrothers, but later they become stepbrothers to Eva too. They all meet again 1.5 years later when they're 20 when Eva comes back to the small town.
The misunderstanding is very typical YA/NA novel where the best friends (Knox and Kai) always believe a stranger's lies over the truth told by their childhood best friend (Eva), which causes a friends-to-enemies-to-lovers trope later. I never understood that plot device, so it brought my enjoyment level down. Eva's mom is also typical cold-hearted bish that's mean to her and doesn't care about anything but herself.
Other than the typical misunderstanding and the hate-to-love vibes, the killing/violence/gore and smut scenes were good. (Though I do wonder how they got away with some of the murders since clean-up wasn't mentioned, so I guess they're pro serial killers at 20 years old that can never get caught?) The MM scenes between Knox and Kai were hot, and finally when they were with Eva, was explosive.
It ends on a HFN with one last person left to kill, so I'm eager for them to finally find him and finish it in the next book.

Is it weird that I am OB-FUCKING-SESSED with the bad ass bitch FMC!? I mean, her guys and the whole taboo thing are hot AF, but that’s just icing on the cake, because, let me tell you, Eva, brings my little black heart to LIFE!
Strong, snarky, and resilient, mixed with a vulnerable side is everything I look for in a FMC. Selina delivers with Eva. She’s a grab life by the horns (or maybe throat) kind of girl. She’s rainbows and unicorns, if the grim reaper came out to play. She’s the kind of FMC that has me tooting #bookgirlfriend instead of #bookboyfriend.
Don’t get me wrong, Knox and Kai are all kinds of delicious. They burn up the pages with their sexy times. They’re so hot, that in the moment, it’s easy to forget how much I want to punch them in the face. Haha.

Awesome dark romance!
I always get excited when a new author takes me by surprise and I was definitely blown away by this one!
The main character of this book is Eva is a woman seeking revenge against the men who hurt her on the night of her high school graduation, including her two former best friends, Knox and Kai.
Eva is completely crazy and I love it, as are her guys. The relationship between three of them is toxic and spicy and everything you want in a dark romance!
The way Eva handles getting her revenge is very dark and this story is definitely not for the faint of heart but if you love a crazy FMC serving up justice in the most twisted ways then you’ll really enjoy this one.
I like that the story was left open for more in the future because I’d really like to see more from these characters!

AMAZING !
Asphyxiate by Selina Marie was a wild story and a completely new kind of reading material for me. It includes some MMF/FF action, heaaavvy spice guaranteed and had me hooked from the very first chapter!
Eva was a sweet girl who gets betrayed in the worst imaginable way by her two best friends, Knox & Kai. She welcomes the darkness within her that she felt has always been hidden beneath her floral dresses and good girl appearance, and begins her revenge journey!
This is a dark DARK romance, so please check trigger warnings and heed that tarantula warning ! If you’re into unaliving, a little bit of taboo, and some good old revenge I highly recommend recommend diving into Eva’s world.

Holy hell. This book. I'm sat in a puddle after that 🥵🥵... the ending though, I really thought I was going to have to come find you and rip your heart out of your body Selina.. although I also wouldn't of complained because sometimes you don't want a HEA.
If you like your stories a little bit messed up but still with a HEA then this is what you need to read. Eva knox and Kai were best friends growing up but after graduation night destroyed Eva she disappeared for nearly two years with no trace to be found. When a funeral brings her home she continues on her warpath to seek Vengeance for those who wronged her.
This book contains some very dark topics alongside mm and ff action. But for those dark and depraved readers out there this is the book for you.

Knox and Kai are surprised to see that Eva isn’t the angelic girl they once knew and as the truth starts to come out, all three of them learn that looks can be deceiving and there has always been three pieces to their perfect puzzle.

This book was like a train crash and I couldn’t look away.
You can tell the book was written by the same author as six feet deep because the characters… you know you should hate them but you can’t. Kai and Knox I wanted to be so mad at them but I just couldn’t and logically I can’t understand why I don’t. The author is very good at writing characters like this because usually I would dnf something like this so fast.
There was a lot of MM and a few FF scenes that I enjoyed as well as MMF. I don’t care what anyone says Ava gives BDE, she’s an absolute savage and I loved her for it.
Ava is a psycho but her only weakness is her past and her little spider 🥺

I love the Dark side and Asphyxiate did not disappoint. Strong characters. Eva is a bada**. Very Alpha males, Kai and Knox thought they knew what they wanted until and evil witch ruined it all. Eva was traumatized and had to run from everyone. The way she found her way back is brutal. Her Alpha males finally seeing the witch for what she was help her journey. Very dark and hot with a whole lot of crazy!

Okay wow. This was my first book by Selina, but definitely won’t be my last! Eva, Knox and Kai’s story had drama, a short amount of love hate feelings, some suspense but was packed full of sexual chemistry and steam. Loved the MM/FF/MFM/MMF scenes! This trio shocked me in all the best ways lol. There were some scenes that I would have liked more detail on as far as how clean up was handled, but overall I liked this story.

Eva is a badass FMC, channeling her trauma into strength and power, she is out for blood and rightly so. Kai and Knox - sinful devils and they know it - there is some BDE coming off these two.

Fantastic!!
This book kept me on the edge of my seat!! It gave me all the feels. There was suspense, angst and steam and so much more!! Do mind the trigger warnings. It's definitely a darker read, which I love! I loved Eva, Knox and Kia! They truly fit together like the perfect puzzle! Overall, I thought it was fantastic! This was my first book by this author and she didn't disappoint. I can't wait to read more of her work!

I enjoyed this story quite a bit, Eva was a great FMC in light of the things she went through in her past. Knox and Kai were great once they realized the truth of Eva’s situation. They were definitely difficult to like before then, although to their credit they were mislead. The root of this story line was very interesting and I liked the elements of revenge and childhood love mixed with betrayal.

After having had a lot of shit happening to her on her Senior year in High school, she’s out for revenge with everybody who got into crossing her and leaving her a bloody mess.
The character development is excellent and the love triangle laying underneath is beautifully told. I am a fan of finally meeting a fellow arachnophilian, so you had me at first encounter with Maleficent.
Overall, great dark romance book.

Having seen posts for this book on social media I couldn't wait to get into it! I've been wanting to pick up Ms.Marie's work for quite some time now and I'm so glad that I got to do so with Asphyxiate! I so enjoyed this story!
Eva, Knox, and Kai's journey captured my attention quickly! Certain things can change everything, Something Eva, Knox, and Kai know. I couldn't wait to see how things would play out for them!
Going into this book, I didn't know what all to expect and that pulled me into it even more! I loved how I felt many things throughout with these characters. I so enjoyed the forbidden aspect of it all, the super blushworthy and dark, and the way it kept me on my toes throughout!
With Asphyxiate, Ms.Marie has created such a good and dark read with heat that had me feeling many things! I am kicking myself for not having picked up her work sooner, but i am so glad that i got to do so with Asphyxiate! Looking forward to reading more of her books soon!

Hot damn was this book so good. From the 1st word to the last this book had me glued to the pages. I just love a book that grabs you by the throat all while keeping you on the edge of your seat trying to find out what was happening next, and with it being a dark, stepbrother triggering warning read...ahh just makes it so much much more. A must read, but read the tw's, because this book is phew. Kai and Knox are just 🔥🔥 I need me some more of this trio and their style of crazy.

Three pieces to a puzzle Eva Kai and Knox are inseparable until something happens and Eva has to become this badass psycho I loved her character and her sidekick/fur child Mal 🖤 Kai and Knox’s relationship is something to die for there connection there spice 🥵 in this book I was eating up the pages. This story had an amazing plot, storyline and again the spice 🥵🥵🥵🥵. A dark stepbrother romance if that is your thing you need to check this book out!!!

First book by this author for me, and OH MY GOD. Its brilliant, it's definitely one to read if you love really dark, stepbrother, MM/MFM /With a little FF In there for good measure 😉 I really enjoyed this book, there was always something happening to keep you invested in the story!
