I wish this book explained more examples of the use of @Transactional annotation and the use of @DataJpaTest, or how we can leverage spring to also add audited data, like Created by not only created date. Also it will be nice if it explained how jpa can be used to create SQL schemas.

Anyway is a nice book, is a must read to everyone using JPA or hibernate.

First half of the book is quite a bit dense and detailed from my perspective. So, it took me a while to complete and even it caused me to give several breaks which broke my reading momentum. Application themed second half of it is much more easier to understand and complete if you have some experience.

I bought this book from manning.com. It included livebook, audio, pdf, mobile and kindle. They gave me old version free. New version was meaps that time. It was very useful. Explanations and examples are detailed and precise. I love it and highly recommend it
