One of Those Days #4
A Milkshake Kind of Morning
Sometimes it’s just a milkshake kind of morning—especially when you get blown up at work.
Joshua is used to no one understanding his job as a YouTuber who plays games for a living. It’s not exactly conventional, but the littles he’s been getting to know lately seem to get why he loves his job. But he’s not so sure he wants to open up to the obviously a Daddy and patiently flirty Turner—because Joshua’s not a little, and now he can’t help wondering what he has to offer the attractive, confident Daddy.
Turner knows that somewhere inside Joshua is a sub ready to explore a world he’s never imagined. He just isn’t expecting Joshua to take the first step until an unexpected question about middles leads to a surprising first date. Now the door to something more between the two men is wide open, but Tuner knows it will take more than milkshakes and kisses to earn Joshua’s trust.

A reluctant sub "middle" and a Daddy who sees possibilities...
Joshua is friends with some "littles" but it doesn't match with his likes and needs. Joshua, 20s is a Youtuber in gaming and doing very well.
Turner, 42, in Real Estate sees promise

in taking care of Joshua, but the boy avoids him.
They finally get to have conversations where the dynamics are discussed, questions are asked, and they discover that Joshua is a "middle," and it can work out.
Their Daddy time is going well, though it's difficult for Joshua to see where it all fits.
Eventually, after time spent together, talks, realizations and emotions coming into play, we see them expand the process.
It's a good tutorial on how to figure out the special versions of the lifestyle.
Their sexy times are smokin' hot, with sex toys, light BDSM, spanking, and more.
We get our lovely HEA.
ENJOY !

February 19, 2022Giving up the ghost @ 45%. This is not the M.A. Innes that I’m used to. The last few books I’ve read by this author and their alter ego Shaw Montgomery haven’t gone beyond surface level. There’s no connection. Hell, there’s no f’n reality. I don’t want to think this is my last new M.A. Innes book, but nothing has been on par with Too Close to Love, Embracing Faith or Learning to Trust. I want that kind of book. Not this phoned in stuff. So disappointed.

How big can a milkshake be??
When the four friends have found their Daddies to care for them, there is also some play time for the troublemakers to share together as they help each other get the most from the lifestyle.
Dom Daddies are hard to find that match their Subs so perfectly, but when it happens and new partnerships and families are formed, it can be amazing. Toys and play with backyard BBQs to share with Daddies as they quickly move closer and more dependent on each other.

Joshua is reconciled with the fact that no one understands his job as a YouTuber who plays games for a living. The littles he has got to know recently seem to get why he loves his job but he is not so sure he wants to open up to Daddy and patiently flirty Turner because he is not a little and he can't help but wonder what he would have to offer to the attractive and confident man. Turner knows that inside Joshua is a sub ready to explore the world and although he was not expecting him to make the first step an unexpected question from Joshua about middles leads to a first date. Now the door is wide open can Turner earn his trust as he knows that it will take more than milkshakes and kisses to earn Joshua's trust?
I enjoyed this story with the unusual but very modern way of earning a living as well as the skittish Joshua who was so used to begin dismissed and told to earn a proper living. I loved how Turner was really interested and asked intelligent questions and then watched what Joshua did in order to understand better. It was great the way Turner tried to support Joshua through sleep and better food as opposed to trying to lay down very strict rules that were bound to fail. It was easy to get involved in the story and keep your fingers crossed that they could end up together. This is a short mature content MM story containing a BDSM D/s and DDLB relationship.

Okay, I liked that Joshua was a content creator, a relatively new career and that he was more of a middle than little. I liked that Turner wasn't overly jealous, I sort of liked that they'd been circling around each other for a while and I liked the other littles.
However, Joshua came across as soooo immature that I wasn't sure how he could ever manage to earn a living as a content creator. He seemed to act like a child 24/7 even before he discovered he was a middle. It didn't come across as him being a capable adult at any time (to me). And was Turner 100? I thought he was in his 40's and had no idea about video games, streaming, NOTHING. I get it, you don't have to be into it, I don't game personally but I know what is happening in modern culture. Credit for being willing to learn but besides sex and figuring out BDSM they didn't seem to do much, except Turner sat and watched him stream and Turner had a bunch of investment properties that he managed. It just wasn't very interesting. *shrug* So I ended up skimming a bunch of the sex which seemed drawn out, and wanted to see some plot movement. *shrug* Ah well. It wasn't awful, just didn't pull me in and I had to sort of push through to finish it.

What was that?
I hate saying this but i think that MA Innes may be wrotting too much too fast. The quality of this entire series has been...lacking. For this book, i found i didnt like either of the characters that much but i definitely didnt feel the attraction to each other as much as their kinks
This book gave me one of the worst reading experiences ive had this year. The character Joshua was not understandable at all. His character's mind was all over the place and was nearly impossible to follow. It was lazy writing that wasnt cleaned up to be understandable during a first run read. Characters that are flighty can be fun but we the reader are supposed to understand their logic while the others done. No o e ciuld understand Joshua and thats too bad.
But the biggeSt sin of this book is the word "cute" Innes may have singlehandedly ruined that word for me. It was so overused i was starting to think someone was ghost writing under my favorite author's name!?! Thats why i think she may need to step back and spend some more time with her novels before releasing them.
Its possible i just found a series by her that i dont like; i hope its that.

February 20, 2022And the award for the most drawn out boring af book goes to....
But seriously, nothing actually happens in this book besides lots of sex scenes and long very drawn out conversations about BDSM in limits. Now I'm all for conversation in books. I personally really like that, but there has to be a cutoff point. Talking about one specific act/limit for over 10 pages is ridiculous. This book is almost 300 pages and it should have been a hundred and the first third of the book. Had these 300 pages been shrunk into a hundred and then we got like another hundred pages of actual plot, it'd be okay. But honestly I was bored out of my mind. I found myself skimming sections and dreading going back to it because I was so bored. It just is not developed at all. It's disappointing because it could have been good but it was not. It's not problematic it was just boring. Also I really really hate it when books end on a sex scene. Like I despise it with my entire being.

Another winner
This is a great addition to the One of those Days series.
The dynamic between Turner and Joshua is a little different with Joshua being a middle rather than a little. One of my favorite things about this book, as opposed to the others in the series and most d/s books in general, is Turners responses to Joshua's touch. Usually the Dom figure is so tightly controlled, but we get to experience Turner's struggle to keep that control of himself. I found it very sexy, that Joshua had such a strong of an effect on him.
I loved this. If you haven't read these books yet, or any from M.A. Innes or Shaw Montgomery I highly recommend popping that cherry. Even if these things aren't your kink it doesn't even matter. The writing is incredible, the world building complete, the characters are captivating, and the stories beautiful.

4.5 stars
Joshua is a newly discovered middle. He is introduced to Turner, a sexy older Daddy Dom. Together they embark on a beautiful, fun, sweet and sexy exploration of this new side of Joshua.
"I'll tell you a secret. I like control and I might drive you crazy if you don't give me good boundaries. Limits are for Daddies too.
A giggle escaped, and after a moment he pulled back enough to look into my eyes. "I know that secret already Daddy."
If hearts could really melt...mine just had.
"Because you're my smart boy." And sweet and funny and sexy as hell.
He was going to be my everything.
Aww.
I had a Daddy, and according to the internet, that meant I didn't have to take things slow or worry. Daddy would make the decisions and all I had to do was tell him my limits.
And right now, my limits included kissing and touching and nakeding and orgasming.
Lol.

This romance was sweet and sexy, and it was full of humor. Joshua was a cute middle before he even knew what that meant. I laughed so much at his interactions with his friends, the littles from the previous stories in this series.
Turner was a great daddy dom, fascinated and attracted to all things Joshua - even when the younger man confused him. These two were funny and adorable together. It was heartwarming to see Joshua's confidence grow under Turner's care. I loved their romance, which was full of laughter and warm fuzzy moments. They both had some wonderful internal monologues, and their banter was truly entertaining. I can't wait to see more of Joshua and Turner in the future, and I look forward to the next book in this terrific series.

Thought the magic was lost
I usually love M.A. Innes and her Daddy/Boy books but this series I just could not get into at all. There was just something about the characters that didn't speak to me and I couldn't finish any of the other books. But this one, this one I loved. It was the perfect mix of a patient Daddy who totally understood his boys needs and a middle who didn't know he was one but wanted to be loved and accepted for who he was.
This was more of the M.A.Innes that I fell in love with when I first started reading them.
Gonna go back and give the other books in this series another try, maybe it was just me.

Funny cute
These two are fantastic. I love the nerves, the giggles, the eye rolls, the tenderness, and the love. They fill a void in each other. They find what works for themselves and don't really worry about what others might think.
Joshua has been belittled by those that we supposed to love and rejected by everyone he has tried to date. Turner sees who he is and reminds him of all his accomplishments. He lifts Joshua up and reinforces the positives in his life.
I had fun reading about these two and their relationship. They were so much fun to experience.

Brilliant middle story
Joshua is a very confused young man, enjoying his job but unable to get a boyfriend as they all put his job and him down.
Turner is a daddy dom and sees something in Joshua, but takes it slow as Joshua keeps avoiding him.
Love how Joshua explores his middle side and the way he learns to trust that Turner is not going to make fun of his ways.
Brilliant story adding the previous characters in as well
Best part was Skyler discovering Joshua was wearing something and then everyone wanting to see !!

Joshua is my favorite out of this series. Skylar was but this adorable, sweet, shy middle stole his spot. Still love my drama baby s well as adorable sneaky Elliot and sweet shy Corey. I think it’s because he’s got a little of them all in him. Plus he had me laughing so hard even my family started questioning my sanity lol. And yes, WWSD has to be a thing in this series. It’s another home run by this amazing author.

There aren't a lot of books about middles. Which is a shame. Middles can be so much more articulate than littles. Although the right daddy can make them incoherent and floaty. Turner is that kind of daddy. And Joshua is the perfect boy for him.
All the boys in the One of Those Days series seem to have dated asses before finding a golden daddy. What a sweet book. Fun. A little stodgy at times, so not a real quick read. But a fun chemistry.

This series is a nice little learning as you get a fun and angsty read!
Each “little” or “middle” has their own issues and some don’t always have all the knowledge of what they are.
It’s been fun to learn more as well as get down deep into the what makes each character unique!
Seeing characters from previous books is another aspect that just brings a smile to your face!
Turner and Joshua bring you a fun and yet heart wrenching story mixed with patience and love!

Milkshake Morning
This was such a sweet romance! Joshua is a lost young man - he has a job but has only had bad dates, and his friends are Littles which he knows he’s not. Turner has been interested in Joshua since their first meeting, but Joshua has been afraid to let him near. Finally he takes a chance, and their relationship starts to grow. I loved how happy Turner was to get to be a daddy to Joshua, and how J flourished with that care. It was a sweet, loving, and wonderful romance!

Sad to say, this book was dull. Slow and unwinding, I felt like wading through mud as I read it. I should have likely stopped but I've liked the others in the series so held out hope. Yet this one, featuring Joshua learning he's a middle, and Turner, the daddy who guides him in the lifestyle had no substance. Boring.

You don’t see many Middle’s being portrayed in age play stories as they tend to focus on the cute Little’s but I for one really enjoyed watching these two fall very quickly in love

Awwww! Joshua and Turner’s book is so sweet! I like how well suited they are for each other. They are both playful, kind-hearted, and in need of that one special person to make their world complete. This was a fun addition to the series and I’m looking forward to more

Loved it, I enjoyed every moment from Joshua’s first questions, to finding out that being a middle is a thing, to trying to explaining what a YouTuber is and how to play Minecraft to Tucker’s delight at Joshua’s submission this is a delightful read in a great series and I loved reading it.

I liked learning about middles, but about halfway through, I lost interest. Nothing much is happening. I think it was a pacing problem for me. All the description surrounding the conversation made the story bog down. At 66%, I started just reading the quotations. Still not great.

And this was a cute one. Figuring out wether what you need and finding a daddy to fit those needs is tough. But sometimes your daddy already knows what you need and its just him HEA

Very good story for these two I was wondering how it would all turn out. So glad it did he needed a daddy for the amazing middle that was just a “little” off track.

Joshua doesn't exactly fit. He's not a little. His boyfriends all want him to grow up. He's so confused. Turner knows he can help him. He also wants him. A relationship were they both get what they want!

I love how this two just sort of started a relationship without any drama. This story is fun without a lot angst. I have really been enjoying this series. I love how each boy and their relationship is unique and fits the characters perfectly.

An eye-opener for them both!
If you like a story where a Daddy like Turner makes sure his boy Joshua understands better the lifestyle options and can safely explore being a Middle, you’ll enjoy this fun story. Getting together with their friends just adds to the fun!
