Suite Dreams #5

Honeymoon Ever After

Rate this book
Rory’s never been attracted to a man before, but Kieran changes everything from the first moment they meet. Will he be able to embrace his unexpected feelings for the Hollywood celebrity?

Rory Kinsella

My new life plan is going great:

1. Dump my awful fiancée who is in love with her best friend and not me? Done.
2. Celebrate my newfound freedom and happiness by going on a solo “me-moon” honeymoon? Great, that should be fun.
3. Fall in love with a Hollywood action hero when I'm straight? Wait, what?!

Besides being absurdly handsome and incredibly charismatic, Kieran looks at me with his magnetic and captivating green eyes in a magical way that makes me feel like I’m the only person in the world that matters. But is that really enough to make me forget that I’m normally attracted to women?

Apparently, the answer is “Yes!” However, it’s not only his gorgeous good-looks that sway me into switching teams. No, what really makes him tempting is something much deeper than that. How can an academic nerd like me resist someone as sweet as a man who wears TARDIS pajamas and wants to shower me with all the love my ex-fiancée never gave me?

Kieran Aiello

My hide out from the paparazzi “vacation” plans:

1. Go to Sweden to escape from a scandal? Easy, I can do that.
2. Stay in my hotel room without leaving for any reason per my agent's orders? Yeah, that's not happening.
3. Find a hot Swede to hook up with in a sauna? Definitely doable.

But things take a surprising turn when I accidentally run into Rory instead, a cute grad student who actually sees the real me that most people don’t believe is hidden under all my Hollywood muscles. He wasn’t part of my original plans, but what could be more tempting than that?

I always thought the insta-love romances I portrayed in my movies were a little hokey, but Rory turns me into a true believer. The chemistry between us is undeniable, but I want more than just a physical relationship with him. If he’s willing to take a chance by opening his heart to me, then why should I settle for anything less than a true romantic ending of a lifetime of love together?

Honeymoon Ever After is the fifth and final book in the Suite Dreams series and part of the Sunnyside universe. This novel features a bi awakening, insta love, celebrity/regular guy, age gap, forced proximity, gay romance. If you love cute sweetness, sexy fun, and no angst stories that will make you laugh and swoon, you’ll enjoy this satisfying HEA without cliffhangers. Each book can be read as a standalone or as part of the series in order.

Very cute. This is a biawkaening instalove story between a grad student and a movie star. No angst.

I liked this story a lot. It was sweeter than I expected and hotter too. It started getting a little OTT near the end, but I had already suspended disbelief by then. You don’t get to see how the relationship works back in the real world, but these two fell in love in like 4 days so I’m sure it’s fine.

4.5*

Are you looking for a low-angst, super uplifting, steamy read? Maybe you are looking for a hot AF ginger action movie star (Irish to boot!)? Or some adorable geekiness?

Then trust me, this book is for you. It’s a fun read with all the oooh’s and aahhh’s you could want, and of course the satisfyingly loving HEA.

Kieran is a movie star hiding out from a Hollywood scandal. Rory is taking his honeymoon (aka me-moon), sans his ex-fiance. He’s also straight. But when they meet, there’s an insta-connection that has Rory realizing he may not be as straight as he thought, and Kieran rethinking his aversion to relationships.

If you ever wondered if Dr. Who could play matchmaker, you’ll get your answer.

This was a little corny and heavily instalove-y. Usually, those things (even when combined) don't interfere in my enjoyment. However, in this case, it had a slightly stronger effect.

On the plus side, Kieran and Rory were enjoyable characters, and I deeply appreciated the gentleness of their relationship. The chemistry in general terms is a more plausible (and explainable) factor, outside of the falling in love side of things.

All in all, I had fun. That's ultimately the takeaway that matters the most.

Had the same problem with this one as with #4 in the series--not just insta-love, but also insta-lifelong commitment. In fact, it's pretty much the same plot as book #4. Also, talking about your ex so much is a total red flag. In this case, it wasn't that he wasn't over the ex, but that he hadn't dealt with the damage the relationship had caused. Not a great foundation for building a new life together, period, let alone jumping into a new serious relationship after knowing someone maybe 3 days.

Honeymoon Ever After is the fifth book in the Suite Dreams serie by Ariella Zoelle. This book is about famous actor Kieran and grad student Rory. Months after breaking of with his fiancée Rory goes on the Honeymoon he planned alone. There he meets famous Hollywood actor Kieran. Rory is straight though...... isn't he?

I loved their story. It was sweet, sexy, full of feels and very well written.

This is such an amazing book with the sweetest characters. I'm so happy that Rory is taken care of in this story, he really deserves it. In true Ariella style, the writing hooks you in and keeps you wanting more. I'm sad that this is the end of the Suite Dreams series, but am so excited for the next one. This can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading all the books. I promise it's worth it!

Cute romance. Kierin and Rory are attracted to one another immediately, even though this leaves Rory puzzled, because he's straight. It's an uplifting love story, I quite enjoyed. A super sweet romance, with a lovely ending. 3.5 stars.

The next stop in Ariella Zoelle's Sunnyside universe is the Suite Dreams series (they all take place at Luxuriant Suites Hotels, hence the suite/sweet dreams pun). The fifth book is "Honeymoon Ever After."

From the I-just-broke-up-with-my-toxic-ex to could-I-actually-be-gay to fuck-I'm-in-love-with-a-celebrity. I'd say it was a wild rollercoaster, but Arielle's books are too damn sweet to have any/too much angst anyway, so like...a kiddy-land rollercoaster. With cotton candy. And Dr. Who pjs. And fanfic. God, that would be the dream, right? Getting a PhD and talking about fanfic or Peter Pan or something and whatnot? Hell, yeah (but that's Kieran's brother, not Kieran or Rory--though, I'm hoping his brother will have his own romance soon).

This book was so fluffy and steamy and fun. From the hot tub to the sauna to the fanboying (over Dr. Who and Good Omen--fucking hell, I love Good Omens), it was glorious and nerdy. They were so in love and happy. Life fucked up for both of them, but they found their happily ever after together.

This is the final book in the Suite Dreams series. I haven’t read any of the other books but I will be checking them out and adding them to my TBR list.

Rory is in Sweden on what was supposed to be his honeymoon. Kieran is at the same resort hiding out to keep a low profile after a scandal. They meet in the hot tub on Rory’s first night and though Rory is straight he feels an immediate connection to the hot and very famous movie action hero. The attraction grows into a relationship. So we’ve got the bi-awakening, insta love, famous/not famous, rich/not rich tropes going on here.

The story is sweet and low angst. Kieran must have some kind of degree in psychology because he spends most of the time working on undoing all the damage done to Rory’s self image and self esteem by his former fiancé and former girlfriends. He is also a patient and caring teacher in Rory’s newfound sexuality. It was nice to read a book where the MCs acted like adults and were kind and understanding without the usual miscommunication or self-sacrifice tropes. It’s a sweet and easy read with just a few minor annoyances.

First of all I got really sick of hearing Rory’s fiancé’s name. Not even going to write it here! I get that the damage she did is key to Rory’s feelings and insecurity but at 80% of the book we shouldn’t still be reading about his thoughts on her. The only reason I wanted to hear her name at the end was that I was really hoping for a great comeuppance scene. Alas, that was not to be. The insta love thing was a bit too much for me but I know it’s what comes with the trope. I think what was more unrealistic than the instalove was the finding an apartment and moving in to it fully furnished one week later!😆 I’d have liked to have read the scene with Rory’s parents as that seems kind of major…their straight son bringing home a boyfriend, who he’s moved in with, who is a major movie star.

Also I’m really wondering about the author’s obsession with R names. We’ve got in this book alone a Rory, Rook, Rigby, Rune, Ronan, Royce. It’s a bit much. And no one even comments on it. No way that would go unspoken about…Al those R’s in the same social circle? I think not.

But overall it’s a cute, easy and quick read. A nice low angst entertainment when you need a break from the dark or the drama.

**I voluntarily read an arc and this is my unbiased opinion.**

What a brilliant read
I got this book of gay romance reviews and this is me leaving my honest review.
Rory got the nerve to break up with his fiance who treated him like rubbish. That was eight months ago and now he found himself in Sweden on his so-called honeymoon as he couldn’t get a refund. Friends got him to call it a memoon. Meaning time for Rory. And on his first night he went into the hot tub and waited to see the Northern Lights.
Kieron had come to Sweden to hide after the fallout of him and Rook kissing And somebody had recorded it and it was now on every news site going. The world thought he was straight so to see him kissing another man had come as a bit of a shock. His manager/agent had told him to hide out in his cabin and not to leave until things have calmed down. But within hours of arriving he just couldn’t sit still so went to join a cute young man in the hot tub.
When these two got together the chemistry was electric you could tell straight away that these two felt something for each other. The way they spoke to each other and the banter it was just so natural, did Rory know that Kieron with a Hollywood star?? of course he did, but did it matter?? No !!
Rory treated him like another human being. And even though Rory had always felt himself to be straight being with Kieron confused him. Because all he wanted to do was kiss him. Kieron has always been a one night stand kind of guy never getting attached but there was just something about Rory that changed everything. Could there be a future for these two???

I could not put this book down and read it in one sitting it is an absolutely brilliant read that had me smiling throughout the whole book. There was something very sizzling , electric that just got you turning the pages quicker than you thought you could read. My heart went out for Rory because it seems that every EX that he had had really done a number on him. His confidence was so low, Kieron saw and made sure he reassured him all the time. Kieron is an amazing man who knows how to treat Rory. Just an amazing read I want to read it all over again straight away that’s how good it was. Cannot wait For the next book in the series.

I love the title of this book and even though it's a bit sad that the Suite Dreams series is coming to a close, I know that I will still be able to see these beloved characters moving forward sprinkled in other series. Such is the joy of interconnected series! But, I don't think that any new readers need to be concerned about jumping in when they feel like reading a book that sounds good. The featured couple gets a complete story with enough background given for any recurring characters to keep up easily.

Honeymoon Ever After has all the humor from each of the characters, as well as the heat, and smooshy love moments that I know I am in for when I start reading a Zoelle book. I sit back and let myself get absorbed into the romantic story that doesn't make me wait too long before the pairing feels a connection to explore. What did surprise me, and for some reason I wasn't expecting, was how swoony Kieran ended up being! I figured Rory would be a darling nerd with some insecurities that needed soothing, but Kieran really stepped up his romantic-lead game that I was delighted to see.

I highly recommend Honeymoon Ever After for readers looking for high romance with low angst between a Hollywood Action hero laying low from a scandal and a formerly unlucky-in-love straight grad student looking for someone that is satisfied with him just the way he is.

This is the sweetest instalove romance. I'm a huge fan of Ariella's and how she can make falling in love so quickly feel so natural between two characters.
Rory is on his "me-moon" after calling things off with his ex a few months ago and is now having a much better time by himself enjoying the beautiful Northern Lights. That is until famous actor Kieran Aiello joins him in the hot tub. They quickly get talking and make a good connection that has they meeting for lunch the next day. Things get confusing for Rory as he's only ever considered himself straight but there is no denying how attractive he finds Kieran and how much he wants him.
It is a warm and tender romance as Rory sees more than just the famous persona the rest of the world sees and Kieran supports and cares for the wounded self confidence/esteem/worth that Rory has from his previous relationships. They work so well together as a couple and I really felt that they fit in all the ways that matter. I've really enjoyed this series and am looking forward to the next one that comes from Sunnyside. It's great to catch up with characters from previous books whilst getting to meet new ones.
Definitely a recommended read for those who enjoy an easy romance with exploration, chemistry and sweet words.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

Story: 4.5 Stars

Bonding over a glorious shared love of "Doctor Who," sparks soon fly between scandal-escaping movie star Kieran and shy academic nerd Rory after the neighboring vacationers meet by chance at a Swedish luxury resort.

Their opposites-attract magnetic pull is all the more surprising for Rory, who up until that point considered himself straight. There's some sexual identity questioning, but it's mostly an angst-free bi-awakening for Rory as he and Kieran launch into a heart-melting, healing, blissful, and blazing hot insta-love journey.

They both feel seen and appreciated for their true selves for first time, and are noting but supportive and understanding of each other, not to mention their chemistry is off the charts. Their story is a fitting finale to this super sweet series, and here's to hoping Kieran's brother Declan pops up again soon in the author's crossover universe.

I'd highly recommend reading Book 4 beforehand, as it happens in parallel time to this story and follows Kieran's co-star Rook finding love while also grappling with the Hollywood scandal aftermath. I received an advance reading e-copy of this book and have left this honest review voluntarily. (Also read in KU.)

This was another fun “insta-love” story in the Sunnyside world of Ariella Zoelle. It was also one of my favorite tropes, Famous/Non-Famous so I really enjoyed this book. Action Star Kieran is in hiding after a recent scandal. Rory is trying to enjoy the honeymoon he had booked with his ex-fiance. As they meet totally by chance, we see that fate has a way of bringing the right people together at the right times. As this was a bi-awakening story,, I really liked how the author wrote about how an emotional connection can truly override what you think you know about yourself. I believe that we are all a little more fluid on the sexuality scale than we like to believe and that sometimes it just takes the right person walking into your life to open your mind up to the possibilities that there may be more out there. One line in particular really hit me. “The more we spend time together, you matter a little more to me with each passing second.”
I want someone to say this to me! Highly recommend starting with the first book in the series, Snowbody Like You as they are all entangled in each other and you will get more knowing the history but either way this was a really sweet, fun, no-angst story. Can’t wait to see who Iason ends up with next!

I haven't read any of the other Suite Dreams series, but this one sounded cute and I enjoy Ariella Zoelle's writing so I picked it up. And it was exactly what I expect from an Ariella Zoelle novel: cute characters, insta-love, decent steam, and a low angst plot with an HEA.

That said, it was still only a four star read. The degree of insta-love got to me. I was yelling at them for . I have this same problem with most insta-love stories and you'd think I'd know better than to pick them up as often as I do.

That said, Kieran and Rory were both adorable characters. There was a bit too much talk about Doctor Who for someone who isn't a fan, but watching two people who are fans bond over it was adorable. I feel like we really got to know the characters in a short time. There weren't a lot of side characters, but the ones that we got to see really added to the story.

I enjoyed the book and it was a cute escape. Much like all of Ariella's other books.

4.5/5 I had been waiting for Rory’s story, and this was the sweet, low-angst HEA he deserved. I really liked how he and Kieran clicked from pretty much the moment they met, and I appreciated that they didn’t fall instantly into bed but actually got to know one another as Rory questioned his orientation. I liked how they could both be more open with one another than they had been able/willing to be with past partners. I’m a big fan of Doctor Who, so I enjoyed the shared nerdiness. (Though I do feel we missed out on a few “Rory” jokes/references, even if 10 is their favourite, lol.)

I was glad that months had passed since Rory’s break-up from his toxic fiancée, although it definitely didn’t feel like he was over everything that had happened. Some time plus a really supportive partner definitely seemed like it would help, and I was glad that Rory was able to do things like get through to Kieran’s brother, so it wasn’t just about Kieran supporting Rory.

The two of them were extremely sweet together, all the coming out/boyfriend announcements to various friends made me laugh a lot, and I’m happy to envision them happy with so many friends in their HEA.

This was truly and amazing book. I love a bi awakening story and Ariella did this one perfectly. Rory and Kieran had amazing off the charts sizzling hot romance. They met and felt it immediately. Their attraction was undeniable from the start. Rory has never been attracted to a man before so when he feels the attraction he doesn’t know how its possible but he doesn’t fight the attraction he just goes with it. Kieran makes Rory feel good and loved like he never has before its new and he loves it. This was such a sweet story and I absolutely adored it. This whole series has just been amazing form start to finish and I am really sad that it is over. I wish it didn’t have to end. I’ll definitely be doing a reread of these amazing love stories.

These books are so good! They have just the perfect mix of sweetness, spicy loving, and schmoopy moments to make my little heart content. No angst sweet stories are a perfect palate cleanser for reality and I often turn to Ariella Zoelle’s books to get my fix. This is the last book in this series and another lovely book set in the Sunnyside world. Rory goes on a “me-moon” after ending his engagement before the wedding disaster could take place. Rory wised up and decided he was done with love. But that was before he runs into the celebrity in hiding known as Kieran. Kieran is hiding out at the Swedish hotel because he is following the advice of his publicist and trying to let the scandal with Rook blow over. These two have instant insane chemistry that neither one of them can ignore. I just loved this book. I couldn’t help but fall in love with Rory as he explores his feelings towards the other man. Highly recommend you read this one and catch up on the whole universe if you haven’t read them yet!

3.75/4* Honeymoon Ever After is the 5th book in the Suite Dreams series by Ariella Zoelle but can be read as a standalone. This was a cute, instalove, feel-good story featuring Kieran and Rory set at a resort in Sweden. Kieran is there after a big Hollywood scandal, and Rory is there for a me-moon following a broken engagement, and they meet on their first night. Whovians, fan fiction, and getting to know and accept the real person they are with are big themes.

It was a good story overall, though I wish there was a bit more to it. I wasn't fond of the amount of discussion about past relationships that occurred in someone who states they are over it - though I understand why to a point with the amount of awfulness that came from the past ones. For those not interested in bi-awakening leaning towards GFY, this may not be the book for you. Personally, I really liked the bi-awareness that occurred, as well as realizing it later in their 20s/early 30s rather than "knowing all along".

Good story overall. Would recommend.

No. I refuse…

I don’t accept that the series is over. I refuse. I want all of the Sunnyside universe FOREVER. I cannot begin to explain how much I love both the world that was built or the characters in it. I cannot WAIT for more. I’m going to pine until I get it.

As for this banger of a book, I stand by my opinion that literally NOTHING in the world is hotter than someone who loves you for who you are and geeks out with you by learning to love your favourite things and sharing them with you. This book soothed my nerdy little soul, and the fact that Nine and Ten were the favourite Doctors? DUH. Matt Smith could NEVER. This was my favourite series in the Sunnyside universe, and I honestly wish there was another series just dedicated to wandering around in the daily lives of all the characters. Actually, just sign me up for living vicariously through them forever, thanks.

You’ll be doing yourself zero favours if you don’t read these books. Infinity/10, can’t imagine a world in which I don’t have Ariella Zoelle’s stories to make things brighter.

Do yourself a favour!

I have never wished to be a 28 yr old male before today! Oooh how I wish I was Rory and being swooned over by Kieran right now 🔥🔥
“something in me rattled against it’s cage and swore nobody would be as good to him as me” 🥰
the mention of “sweet baby angel Callum” sends shivers down my spine as he is another I wished I was, who am I kidding I wish I was apart of all of Ariella’s universes at the end of each book!
It’s such a shame that this is the final book of the series as it would be awesome to read Declan’s story and who he could be paired up with?
If only I had a man who gave me an army of hyperactive butterflies in my tummy!
“He is everything I never knew I needed but now I can’t live without.”
I wish we could all have that special someone to say “Nothing would make me change my mind about loving you. Not when you’re the best thing that’s happened to me.” Beautiful just beautiful 😍

I really enjoyed this story. It's the first book I've read in this series and I definitely want to go back and read the others. Especially book four that seems to have strong ties and parallel with this book. Very well written with wonderful characters. Rory and Kieran were so sweet together. I usually don't read romances with celebrities (they just don't cross my path very often), but I really enjoyed this. And I have a big weak spot for bi-awakening romance stories. The romance happened a bit fast- especially considering Rory had considered himself straight before meeting Kieran- but I still loved it. Kieran was such a sweetheart and helped Rory find his confidence after Rory's breakup with his horrible fiancé. I also liked that there wasn't a lot of angst and drawn out stress on Rory's part over his sudden attraction to another man (as I sometimes come across in bi-awakening books). Rory was just a sweet character and I really wanted his- and Kieran's- happily ever after. 5 stars.

This is just such a super-sweet feelgood story and I devoured it in one sitting. Whilst this is the fifth book in the series you can read it as a standalone if you so wish.

Having read the previous book in the series I already felt for Rory having witnessed how nasty his ex was. I loved that this book focused on him and started with him enjoying himself and rebuilding after splitting with her. That said, the background is described in enough detail that you don't actually miss anything if you haven't read the previous one.

Rory and Kieran are just so adorable. I love how Kieran has this secret geeky side and how he dotes on Rory and allows him to come to terms with his sexuality on his own time. The whole relationship between them was just so lovely and I really didn't want to put this book down. I just loved it!

This was a sweet and sexy instalove story. Rory and Kieran were both likable characters, and their story was an interesting read. I was a bit surprised that there was zero angst, considering each man's past. Rory had never been attracted to a man before, but he immediately felt comfortable being carried around and becoming the little spoon for Kieran. Meanwhile, Kieran had never wanted a serious relationship before, but he fell for Rory within a couple of days. Their romance was fast and didn't have outside forces causing any issues, so that made it more believable, but neither needed any kind of adjustment period. I would have liked seeing how they held things together after getting back to their daily lives. I liked this romance, but I would have appreciated seeing more of their life together once they were back home.

I can always count on Ariella Zoelle to bring a fluffy, sweet, steamy story. Rory is on his me-moon after calling off his wedding to his horrible fiancé. Kieran is laying low after his scandal with Rook. They meet and there’s an instant connection. This is a bi-awakening story filled with insta lovey, romantic goodness. We get to visit with Jude and Rigby again and also Rook, who’s experiencing his own HEA. Their lives are all intertwined and it’s great to revisit with everyone. This was a great finish to a wonderful series. Also I have never related to a character in a book more than when Rory told Kieran he could not be in “people clothes” any longer. I saw a lot of myself in Rory and it made my own introverted heart smile.

ooh my, this book was such a sweet and fluffy read with a lot of feel-good moments. So if you are looking for that, definitely read this book.

Rory got dumped by his ex-fiance and so he decides to go on the honeymoon as a me-moon.
There he meets Kieran, a Hollywood action star, hiding out from a scandal. They have an instant attraction, which wonders Rory, as he always believed to be straight.

Aww, this book was so sweet. I am definitely not a fan of Doctor Who, but it was heartwarming to see how both of them fanboyed over Doctor Who. There was a lot of fireplace cuddling, a lot of heat in cold Sweden, and a lot of feelings.

A really sweet book. Definitely worth reading.
