Strength and Courage!
Great story for young kids who have had medical procedures resulting in scars, including my own child! The story shows a boy, who because of a medical condition, has a scar, has to see a special doctor sometimes, sometimes physically can’t do the same things as other kids BUT ALSO has amazing courage and strength! His scar reminds him of what he’s been through and makes him a strong, resilient kid!!

I heard this book the Brave Hearts livestream for Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week. It was such a sweet, simple story and perfect for preschoolers! The illustrations were very kid friendly, and the book had a good pace to be read at. The only thing I didn't like was the square background on each page; I felt like it detracted from the pictures. But phenomenal job! I feel like this would be a wonderful book to give as a gift to new CHD families

This is a very cute book about a young boy with a super scar! I loved it so much! It’s a great confidence builder for all kids. I’d recommend it to people of all ages. Easy vocabulary and fun illustrations.
