Out of all of the books from this series.. I think this one is my favorite so far. There was lots of content and the chapters from when Jack was away had me on the edge of my seat wondering if he was going to be okay. When Stella was running the bakery and the sisters came in at different times I couldn’t help but laugh at how Eve knew right away about Luna and how understanding she was. She seemed to really help Stella with things after she found out that Luna was her niece and really helped them feel like a part of the family. Also, excuse me…Plot twist??? What’s going on with Sam??? Wild. In the end.. So glad that Stella and Jack reunited.

Jack proposes to Stella on the same night she finds out her brother has died and she says no. He runs off to Africa with the Doctors Without Borders and she has their daughter he doesn't know about.

What was this? And what the fuck is it with the names? It’s not funny or cute, and it’s a really bad idea. This writer should fire her alpha readers, beta readers and editors. She should get rid of anyone who didn’t protest this idea. Bad team. Bad.

The editor really has to go. As the editor your job is more than “just” making sure the commas are in the correct place and that the words are spelled right. Your job is to push the author to write better characters, to give them a better story.

This story is wholly uninteresting, with flat arcs for the characters who are navel gazingly boring. Even kidnapped and held at gunpoint is the character not believable. I fucking wanted to feel his fear! Not just be told about it. Not every writer should write in 1st person. This book is proof of that.

Also. I don’t think this author knows how pregnancy works. There is no way in hell to tell the sex of the baby 2 weeks into a pregnancy…

This is the third book of the author's that I've read, though it's my first review for her. Also, as I was reading this, it had been a while (& many books in between) that I didn't realize that I had actually read book 1 in the series. I was wondering why the secondary characters & situation sounded familiar until I logged onto goodreads & saw the information 😂 Although this is book 4 in the series, you don't have to read the others first - though of course it'll add familiarity for the secondary characters. While there were things that I found weak, there was enough for me to enjoy this quick holiday story.

Because of a misunderstanding, Jack leaves for Doctors Without Borders in Africa & Stella is left heartbroken & pregnant. When Jack left, he not only lost contact with Stella but with his family members as well. Later, we do learn that there is a good excuse for him losing contact with his family. Stella only had her mom to rely on as she kept the secret of Luna's parenthood a secret from Jack's family out of fear of having a custody battle ,but there was really no need to worry about that since Jack's family were all kind towards Stella & Luna. Though Jack & Stella spent years apart, they never got over each other & it was very easy for them to pick up where they left off.

Neither Stella or Jack are strong & impressionable characters but I don't dislike them, though I understand why others would. Stella tries her best for her mother, Luna, & bakery. I do think she made things tough on herself by not telling Jack's family about Luna & getting more support but I do understand that she was swayed by her mother into thinking of protecting herself & Luna. As for Jack, his misunderstanding & heartbreak is understandable but his reaction to it, especially because he's supposed to be Stella's best friend as well & know her, is disappointing. However, during their time apart, he had regrets, thought of her, & didn't date anyone else so at least he has that in his favor.

I do think that the reason for their breakup was foolish, like Jack didn't even bother actually talking to her to clear up the misunderstanding. & the way it happened was too fast it didn't leave you feeling sadness for them or anything, except maybe annoyance at both of them. However, it did show that neither Jack, nor her, were ready for more commitment at that time. They are only reunited towards the end of the story so I would've liked to see more chapters of them exploring their feelings once again but with the time spent apart, & what Jack went through, you may just want to be together already - if only for Luna's sake or because you know that they never stopped loving each other. I also liked his parents, especially his dad who made me chuckle, & his sisters. I do plan to read their stories as well.

WOW! Amazing!

I was in tears at the start of the book. Stella finds out devastating news about her brother and loses the love of her life to Doctors Without Borders in Africa..... in tears and clicking page after page as fast as I could .... I forgot to eat or drink... all I cared about was Stella, and her little girl Luna.

Twisty and Turny with moments that caught me by surprise.... funny Christmas puns that had me giggling.... steamy romance.... parts that had me on the edge of my seat.... but most of all what I loved about this one were the moments that had me reaching for the tissues... This was an adorable addition to Olivia Noble's holiday romances.

It made me want to reread them all :) The way she touches on all the other ones... I was like "OH... I remember HER"

Also...... Left me with some unanswered questions as far as Stella's brother is concerned. PLEASE WRITE ANOTHER ONE!!! :) We now MUST know if her brother died on that oil tanker!

❄️ Book 4 in the Snowflake Creek series finally gives us Jack’s story—and wow, what a ride! This novella could have easily been a full-length novel, but even in its shorter format it delivered a complete, heartfelt plot.

Jack, the protective big brother to the Frost sisters, left town years ago after his high school sweetheart, Stella, turned down his proposal during a crisis. Heartbroken, he joined Doctors Without Borders in Africa and cut off all ties back home.

What he didn’t know? Stella was left with a life-changing surprise. Despite her attempts to reach him, Jack stayed away. Now, five years later, Stella has returned to Snowflake Creek—and after a harrowing experience abroad, Jack is finally back too, only to face the shock of his life.

This second-chance romance had all the feels: love, regret, reunion, and the promise of healing. Plus, we get updates on his sisters and a juicy cliffhanger involving Stella’s brother that sets the stage for book 5.

I’m so glad I stuck with this series after the rough start in book 1. These short novellas are the perfect cozy reads for a busy holiday season—sweet, satisfying, and easy to enjoy without juggling too many details.

If you like cheesy halmark movies then this is the story for you. She moves away only 5 years later ends up back in the same town. While working at a bakery one of the fathers sisters comes in and relises that the daughter is her brothers. Family welcomes her back. Mean while the father is off in africa he gets kidnapped only then he starts to miss the girl he ran away from. Vows if he gets away he will go back and make everything right only to be meet with the daughter he never knew he had. He tells her he doesnt think her brother is dead but vows to find out the truth ( never finds out tho) they pick up like its nothing and she gets pregant again the night of his sisters wedding all for the due date to be the day he last proposed and then asks her again and she agrees. I often choose DNF but this story was short enough that I actually read most of it. There was skimming. It was so bad. I’m disappointed that Goodreads has become so unreliable for reviews.

The premise was weak. The misunderstanding was super lame. The main female lead, Stella, was milquetoast boring. Apparently, she told her daughter that her father was Santa Claus. That is not funny, but freaking bizarre! Who does that? The dating conversation between Stella and her mother Skye was also utterly strange. Nobody was real. The character names were lame: “Jack Frost,” “Adam and Eve,” and “Mr. Claus.”

Do all of the authors who make main characters own bakeries have any idea about just how challenging it is to not bleed money in this field? Of course, it doesn’t matter because Stella is wealthy thanks to her brother’s supposed accidental death and pay out.

Won’t read this author again. Don’t trust the 5 star reviewers that loved it either.

Sometime some story touches our core of the heart. " A New Year Baby" by Olivia Noble is such a story. The cover page of the book is attractive and eye pleasing and the title of the book makes me eager to read the book .

Can you imagine a moment, when you get a good news alongside a bad news? What will be your feelings in that particular moment? Steela, who get the news of being pregnant and at the same time comes to know that ,Jack who left Snowflake Creek to work for doctors without Borders in Africa.

Years passes and Steela lead a very simple life as a single mom with her little daughter Luna, and runs a bakery. Luna is the joy of life in Steela's life.

But we can't predict about destiny. When Jack returns ,it turns Steela's whole world upside down . What will happen next? Readers will get the answers by reading the story.

The language is very much simple and staightforward and lucid. Overall a time worthy read.

Very few stories can enter to the core of our heart. Olivia Noble's "A New Year Baby" is such a story. The cover page as well as the title will increase your interest to start reading the book.

Steela came to know about her pregnancy on New Year's Day. During this period whose presence was much needed though she did not get this. Jack left snow flake creek to work for doctors without Borders in Africa. After few months,Steela gave birth to a baby. There was no communication between them for few years. Years has passed and little Luna becomes the joy of her world means her happy is surrounded by Luna. She leads a simple life as a single mom, running her bakery. Her delicious creations are loved by the whole town.

After a long time Jack returns and her life turns after that. To know everything, the readers have to read the story. The lucid language really impresses me a lot. I shall recommend everyone to read it for once.

Stella and Jack were one another’s best friend; in high school they became a couple. She earned her bakery degree and he a doctor. The night he tried to propose, Stella found out her brother was presumed dead. Her mother did not even know at that point. She refused the proposal and he left. When she discovered she was pregnant, she tried to get in touch with him but he was long gone. Fast forward five years…Stella and her mother are back in the town she grew up in and is running a bakery. When Jack’s sister comes in, she discovers she is an aunt. Stella and the family reunite only to not hear from Jack. When he finally does make a reappearance, what will happen when he learns the truth? Why has he been gone so long and out of contact with his family? He has a story of his own to tell. This is a very sweet second chance surprise baby romance in a small town. You will not want to miss out on it.

Long-time boyfriend Jack went to extremes for an engagement proposal, however, it was sidelined by the announcement of Stella's brother's demise. Feeling he was rejected, he took a job with 'Doctors Without Borders', not knowing she was pregnant. Unable to contact him Stella moved briefly to LA with her mom before heading back some five years later with her daughter, immediately bumping into Jack's family. None of them had been in contact with Jack of late. Good bedtime read in this novella that maintains one's interest due to twist and turns in this quick action book. Could almost have been expanded with more detail involved, however, was entertaining despite it.

This was an interesting, short story. Jack had only been mentioned a few times in the previous books. Details were not shared other than he was serving with the group Doctors Without Borders in Africa. He was quick to close himself off and not ask Alina about her “no”. They were supposed to be so close. She had been crying when he found her but was only focused on his plan. Then he ghosts her. He should feel very lucky for a second chance. They do get a HEA.

It was great for a quick read but it had SO MUCH potential to be better!!! I was kind of disappointed to be honest. It was a great story, but it feels like it got fully written then they decided it was too long and took half of it to the shredder. The kidnapping had no angst, fear, or worry sown in. I wasn't worried AT ALL about Jack. The Luna reveal could have been done so much more emotionally. It was all so predictable that I saw the ending coming from halfway through the book. Ugh...

So cute!

This book was so sad at the very beginning and it just broke my heart the was Jack reacted to Stellar answer. He maid a decision and left not thinking of the consequences of his actions and later regretting it. Stella never expected not being able to tell jack why she told him NO after he propose. She was just to heart broken and later found put she was pregnant. Love the ending and can wait to read about Sam!!! 😍😍

The moon and stars

Ok so I started this book think no I am not gonna like it (but wanted to continue the series). Then got into it. Really enjoyed it for the most part then jack came home… and really!!? She just forgives him just like that? That reunion was too fast she should’ve written a bit more. I was disappointed. Oh and like 1/2 the 🌶 as the others. Which isn’t saying much

Things gone wrong

Things in this short little read have gone wrong on so many levels. It has a good storyline that you can enjoy if you just look at it as complete fantasy. I think it's a bit too unbelievable in some areas and it definitely has a HEA. It's very hard to say it just seems very much like it was rushed to completion.

Surprisingly a good short story. Not much graphic sex which was refreshing.
Only problem is I feel like it could carry on for longer, be a full book instead of being split into lots of little books. Don’t feel it’s worth buying each book for £2-3 when it’s only 100 pages but was a very good read for something that was free

Ye Gods, just don't

It starts out okay. Not great but at least decent by book standards. What follows after is a fever dream from a sitcom writer. I can't tell you what is the most disturbing part because it's all pretty disturbing. Every serious situation is played for jokes. Take a lifetime movie or medical drama and put in a laugh track.

Big Swings That Don’t All Connect

The plot here is truly outrageous. For a novella, it feels like we’re asking for a lot in terms of willful suspension of disbelief. Without giving anything away, I will say that I would find it nearly impossible to forgive the MMC after his reaction to a failed proposal due to outside circumstances. I usually need a lot more in terms of spice to be willing to go along with a storyline this far out there.
