The Uncaged m/f omegaverse takes place on a dystopian Earth and combines paranormal and fantasy elements. There's plenty of romance, steam, and Alpha Omega bonding. The story contains some triggers such as descriptive violence and sex and offensive language, but never any cheating or ow/om drama.

Uncaged Alphas!

This is the first book I have read by this author and I really liked it! This is also the first in the series I've read, which is completely possible as it is a standalone, but I would suggest going in order for best overall experience. I plan to go back to the beginning and read from the start.

Anja and Rodric's story is full of action, suspense, mystery, thrill, heat and very possessive Alphas! Overall, the story was very enjoyable and I look forward to reading the entire series.

Taken is a nice addition to Monroe’s Uncaged series as she continues to build out her omegaverse setting. I liked the idea of a book that happens entirely in one of the outer settlements and that isn’t under Uncaged alpha protection. But when the settlement leaders make the mistake of robbing an Uncaged town, the alphas come…and they always manage to find hidden omegas like Anja.

Taken is a quick read, and the book shows some of the consequences of that. When our alpha hero Rodric finds Anja, she acquiesces to his demands as an omega really quickly. As a woman who didn’t fully realize what being an omega entails, I would have expected more negativity and pushback, and more that Rodric would have to explain to her. Instead, it’s the overcome-by-alpha-purr explanation that comes into play here. Considering how feisty Anja is—and her sassy remarks to Rodric are a highlight of Taken—I wanted to see more resistance that I got.

I liked that Rodric is a rather easygoing alpha, and definitely one who’s considerate of Anja and her feelings. I liked that he listened to what settlement members had to say about what they’d done. I also enjoyed the push-pull of towns raiding one another (but avoiding taking everything, lest that cause a problem like the one that starts out Taken). And the fated-mates status of Anja and Rodric helped explain why they had such a strong mutual attraction.

So there’s plenty of good things about Taken, and I’m anticipating the next book in Monroe’s series to continue expanding our knowledge of this unusual omegaverse world.

I love the uncaged series it isn’t mandatory that you start with book one, but you do get a lot of background from the previous books this one is no different from the others alpha personified, possessive, oh, so gorgeous, brooding all the makings of and delicious. Be warned don’t ever run from an alpha especially when you are a fated mate Anja’s adopted mom raised her as a beta, taught her to run but also don’t ever take anything from an alpha without their permission. This is what put her on the path of Rodric when they came to their village chasing the thieves who stole from them oh and yep, they are there to help her village prepare for the winter. But when Anja does what her mama taught her which is run when she sees an alpha but of course it only makes Rodric chase finding it all a little amusing. Rodric sexy as all get out alpha his crew come in to help out the village people and even with all the problems the two of them face but they are much stronger together than apart but life isn’t going to make it easy however, fate is on their side so where are they headed, does the alpha prove to her that they have feelings, will do whatever it takes to protect, save, their mate, and can they have happiness?

Anya runs gets chased by Rodric then they get cut off by an avalanche of snow.
Omega Anya lives with the couple that had found her wandering as a child and who she now calls mum and dad. Just after the traders they had sent out return they are attacked by Alphas and her mother tells Anya to run. She soon realizes that there is an Alpha chasing her and changes direction to avoid leading him to another village then she finds herself almost to the edge of a ravine which forces her to change direction yet again so she finds herself in an area she is unfamiliar with. When the Alpha Rodric catches her he puts her over his shoulder and starts to carry her but a loud noise has him running faster but they are soon cut off from returning to the village by an avalanche of snow. They find a cabin and have to shelter there but the snow is now falling heavily.

Hmm...a 3.5 but unsure if it's a high or a low, it does feel a bit on the lower end but really smack in the middle for me.

Compared to the last book - this was better. However it still doesn't compare to the first four? books at all.

I do think though that's if we are comparing this to part of a series - since I do think that Rodric and Anja themselves were a cute short Omega/Alpha instalove thing going on. Anja had a very interesting backstory of her origins (although quite sad) - and Rodric is the protective Alpha to her. It is on the lighter/shorter heavy side compared to the first four books (I'm still honestly sad about the last book with how disappointing it was).

I do sort of honestly wonder where the rest of the Uncaged series is going to go though - since it does seem that the books are gradually going into a direction I'm not sure about.

Survival is difficult, at best, during the winter, but Anja is shocked to learn that the leaders of her small village would stoop to such levels. Because the neighboring village and it's residents ae on their way to reclaim what was taken, Anja's mother tells her to run. Rodric "Rider" Moonblood is an Alpha, and he is the one leading the village where his people have settled to reclaim their property. He never expected to have to chase down the beautiful omega through a snow storm, or to realize that she is his fated mate.
I love the characters in this book. They are well written and compelling. Action and some violence that could be a trigger to some readers, an unpredictable plot with plenty of steam.

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW of Taken by Amber Ella Monroe. This read is part of The Uncaged series. As a relatively quick read, this read had a lot to offer. Roderic is an Uncaged Alpha that goes to a small town with a group of his brethren to retrieve stolen items. What starts out as a simple task becomes complicated when Roderic comes across Anja. Anja is an Omega that has been raised as a Beta. The story is sexy and has some great banter that is heightened by the character chemistry (which sizzles!). A great addition to the series. These reads are basically able to be read as stand-alone but are greatly enhanced by reading the series in order.

Rodric and Anja . . .

Stealing from Alphas is never a good plan. Retaliation is guaranteed. Anja’s mother tried to protect her from what was coming, but she didn’t stand a chance against an Alpha, especially not the one that was sent. Rodric Moonblood, who is Anja’s mate, arrives and Anja feels the full force of the mate bond. She belongs to him.

The characters were likable, although like other books in this series their relationship doesn’t seem to have much development other than the fact she is an Omega which automatically lures him to want her. Will he follow his instincts and claim her as his own?

Ana is adopted into a village after she is found wandering around as a small child and life seems pretty normal. Until the Alphas come. Listening to her mother, she runs and Rodric finds her. Add in a little snowy hideaway and a sudden heat cycle and we are in for a wild.ride. With a wonderful twist on the Alpha, Omega dynamic (so good to see a strong heroine with an Alpha male) and hot love scenes. Pick this book up today!

Anja is an Omega hiding in one of the outer settlements with her adopted parents. The leaders of her settlement raid an Uncaged settlement and the Uncaged retaliate. Rodric finds Anja hiding and fate steps in. It’s insta-love between the fated mates. Rodric is patient and kind with Anja as he teaches her about the Uncaged. Anja is fiesty and a bit of a brat but also recognizes that she belongs with Rodric. This is a short, action packed and steamy read.

When these uncaged alphas find their mates, look out! They're a force to be reckoned with. Rodric and Anja has one trouble after another, but they face them together. They save villagers that are taken by a rival clan of alphas and help Anjas small village to prepare for winter. Rodric mates with Anja and they have their future ahead of them to look forward to.

Taken is book six in The Uncaged series and is Roderic and Anja's story. Roderic an Alpha is sent to take back stolen items but ends out finding Anja an Omega and his mate. This is a fast paced read filled with danger, drama, intrigue, unexpected twists, suspense, steam and so much more. The writing is good and the characters are interesting. This is a great addition to the series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

This was a great addition to the series. I love that it wasn't full of angst but wasn't free of troubles. Thankfully, when an alpha finds his omega, all bets are off. I did enjoy how much they worked together to face those difficulties and that lead to a fab HEA. So much fun to escape into this series :D

I sat down and read this book front to back, I was hooked from the very first. Full of action with a chase, avalanche, thievery, kidnapping, murder, and still the Alpha wins his Omaga. I loved it and don't miss a single book of this series.

The sixth book in the Uncaged series another well written story in this series that kept me turning pages. Anja's village is under attack because of something the village leader did. She runs but Rodric Moonblood goes after her. Their story has suspense, drama, danger, villains, a surprise and romance. Anja is an omega that's been hidden away. Somehow the settlement leaders mistakenly rob and Uncaged town which sends the Alpha's and they find Anja. Loved when Rodric finds Anja. Instead of putting up a fight Anja gives in to Rodric with his purring. Another great book in this series.

Enjoyable Quick Read - I enjoyed this quick read, even though it was a little short the author managed to cram in enough action and tension to keep me invested in the lives of the Uncaged Alpha and the orphaned Omega raised by humans. This is a good addition to the series, It has a good plot, some interesting characters and enough steam to satisfy.

This is a short story with lots of action and steamy romance. The uncaged Alphas come to Anja's village because that village stole supplies from a village under the protection of the uncaged. The Alphas take back what is theirs but also helps the village. Rodric ends up chasing Anja and that's when the fun begins. Unfortunately one third of the book was chapters from other books in this series.

Better than the previous in the series

I remember how the first book had a pretty decent plot. The subsequent titles in the series, not so much of a plot. I keep thinking that the hinting of a storyline will eventually lead to something, but sadly I have been mistaken. This one offers a bit more than the previous titles, but not much.

This is a fast-paced read in the omega verse with loads of drama, suspense and steam. Rodric is an uncaged Alpha and when he finds Anja, an omega, and sparks combust. Great characters, entertaining story with plenty of drama and sizzle. I liked it.

Great story

I sat and read this book in one sitting. It was so engaging and enjoyable. I really liked Anja's strength and determination. Rodric is an awesome alpha and perfect with a strong Omega by his side. Such a great series!

The story goes from 0 to 60 in a blink. Characters were mostly enjoyable. Some of their decisions didn't make sense, but this was implied to be driven by instincts.
