In our quest to vanquish the haunting monsters that plague us, we must abandon our morals, embrace the encroaching darkness, and transform into the deadliest creatures ourselves.
Life shattered my childhood dreams—no white picket fences, no dream job, and definitely no flawless husband...
Well, that last part isn't entirely true. I just didn't expect my husband's three friends to be my soulmates and lovers too, one of whom fathered the life growing inside me.
It all began with rivers of blood, and it ends the same. Drop by drop, we'll exorcise our demons, but I fear we'll lose too much along the way.
Rosa Lee lives in a sleepy Wiltshire village, surrounded by the beautiful English countryside and the sound of British Army tanks firing in the background (it’s worth the noise for the uniformed dads in the local supermarket and doing the school run!).
Rosa loves writing dark and delicious whychoose romance, and has so many ideas trying to burst out that she can often be found making a note of them as soon as one of her three womb monsters wakes her up. She believes in silver linings and fairytale endings...you know, where the villains claim the Princess for their own, tying her up and destroying the world for her.

I really struggled to put into words how I felt about this book and the ending of our relationship with Lilly and her Dark Knights 🖤
Released is the third and final book in the Highgate Preparatory Academy series, it’s been a wild and emotional ride from Captured, the first book back when we first saw Lilly, alone and in a different country following a horrific tragedy, discovering she was sharing a dorm with our 4 hot, smoking men Ash, Loki, Jax and Kai.
We’ve seen amazing character progression, Ash the biggest one for me. I hated him at first and he’s ended the trilogy being tied for my favourite along side Loki. The head of the knights with the armour built around his heart. The Shakespearean moments and piano scenes will forever be my favourite with him. Loki my flame haired trickster, with his designated playlists, inappropriate comments and wicked mouth. So sinfully sexy and the scenes with Kai were my favourite. We have our lethal man Jax, with a lethal monster appendage 🙈 and muscles to match. Our resident hot head with LITERAL touch her and die vibes and last but not least sweet and quiet Kai, with so trauma behind his eyes but is a complete Dom in the bedroom and don’t get me started on his 🍆 piercings 👀 or any of the others 🍆 piercings🫣
The smut in these books are downright FILTH. Just know Rosa dedicated Released to all the squirters out there so if that doesn’t give you insight to what lucky Lilly endures then I don’t know what will 😂
Released gave me a found family feel, especially with certain unalivings that happen in this book, Lilly and the knights clearly don’t need anyone else other than each other. All of these characters go on such a journey, all experiencing trauma and hell bent on revenge.
There are a lot of triggers so please check those out before reading. But if you’re a fan of reverse harem, several pierced 🍆, lots and lots of filthy sex including DP!!!!! 😏 insta love, fast burn and touch her & die then you’ll love this series 🖤
I skimmed this one super fast. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good spicy book but most (like 70%) of this book was smut and I got bored. I “read” it in an hour and didn’t miss any major plot points.
Lilly was pregnant in the second book but it wasn’t mentioned hardly at all in this book except when she was rescued from her kidnapper and when she actually had said baby (this is why I hate the pregnancy trope).
Okay also, Ryan coming out of left field and being a mercenary was not expected but not impactful. He had maybe one other scene with Lilly and that was to tell her he approved of the boys.
And fucking Tom, her driver, suddenly being her dad? I would have believe this one if she had spoken more than two words to him. His memorable scenes were getting to listen to Lilly and Loki play hanky panky in the back seat (and no words are spoken when she gets out and realizes he heard) and when he tells her welcome home when she’s rescued. Sure he’s her driver and mentioned multiple times but its always in passing.
This book lost me and it felt like the author was trying to deliver word count and shock factor but the previous two books did nothing to set up the plot twists she ended with. Take out the spice and this could have easily been a duology.

Never did I think I’d encounter a series with so much spice that I physically recoil at the slightest hint of it happening again, beseeching the heavens with a raised fist and ragged cry of, “AGAIN?! Why!” This series had me out here actually praying for plot.
Whoa so much more spicy moments! But this one has so much more drama, more heartache, and wow what they have to go through! There’s some fuzziness on some of the outcome with regards to courts but really it does to it up to one final- someone does lose. I went through a lot reading the trilogy since it deals a lot with past sexu@l abuse (please read and follow triggers) and what I love is that it doesn’t shy away from it. And the characters do feel it, but they also deal with it which as a survivor I really found both peaceful and empowering.
Turns out that there’s such a thing as too much sex. This series could have easily been one book if the characters weren’t fucking like there’s no tomorrow in each chapter. Ouch to the vagisty lol
Why did I read all three books? I was curious. Unfortunately, there’s barely any plot here so don’t waste your time.
I'm so thrown off by all the 5 star reviews. I did read all 3 books and am posting the same review under all 3 as a general review of the series.
First, the characters are all 17 or 18 and the main character gets pregnant at 17 because she's banging 4 dudes like 5 times a day without being on birth control. It gave me the ick. I don't see why the characters couldn't be college aged rather than high schoolers.
The main character is ridiculous. She dresses like a toddler and the author is constantly referencing what brands she wears rather than just describe the clothes. And so many IRL songs referenced.
With fantasy books, you can suspend disbelief, but with a book like this, there are so many events that just don't make sense.
A new girl at school? Well, we're out of dorms so she's going to have to stay in a dorm, unsupervised with the 4 hottest dudes, who she is going to bang immediately. Party's on school grounds? Don't forget the servants passing out drugs and people literally having orgies. Caught in the school library having sex? No worries, the librarian thinks its funny. Oh, you're watching one of your boyfriends in an underground cage match? Have someone finger bang you in the crowd to push him over the edge and when he wins, scream at everyone to clear out so you can bang in the ring (and they do! Who is running this event? Where did the vendors go, did they leave all their stuff? lol).
The amount of sex they have is insane. So much so that I was skimming past it looking for the non-existent story. The sex scenes were pretty short and a bit repetitive. I can't imagine how bad their cars stink, jizzing all over them all the time. Or how bad they smell after having orgies anytime they drive anywhere with nothing but a random towel to "clean off".
Speaking of sex. They constantly say they heal through sex but like...its so inappropriate. Like, hey baby, I know you were kidnapped by your uncle (orchestrated by your father in law), you were drugged and sexually abused over and over by the guy we thought was your uncle, then we thought he was your dad, turns out he was just your mom's ex (whew), found out your father in law jerked off to video footage of it, you were so stressed about it you went into shock like 5 minutes ago...you wanna bang it out? OMG
The nicknames for her, the way they spoke to each other and acted. It was just all so cringey and gave me the ick. Like, there's this girl at school she meets and instantly hates and calls her names like jizz bucket and cum dumpster when our girl is literally drinking sperm from a condom. She is the dictionary definition of a cum dumpster. The irony kills me.
If you just want porn with a dash of story, this book is for you.

Literally traumatising. I HATE pregnancy trope with a passion it’s horrible. I could deal with the cringe in the other books but this one- absolutely not.
Honestly, I'm glad this was the last book of the series. There was just.. so much sex.. like, I like smut, but DANG, it was literally every other chapter. I just found it more cringe towards the end. Like, I don't care what song is playing, I don't care for how much detail there was to what outfit choice Lily chose for the day, there was more detail for that than what happened between the time skips. Overall, it was just really.. meh. I'm glad for the happy ending, I guess.
Also, I wish there were more scenes between Loki and Kai. That shower scene just felt so raw and emotional for them, I loved it.

honestly why did i even finish the first book. these were awful. i def don’t need to put myself in the time out corner because reading these was punishment enough
4.5 stars. This ending was pretty perfect. I loved all the little details we got wrapped up, all the secrets revealed. It was fun.
The sex was hot, the relationships were really rewarding, and the ending was super satisfying.
I really enjoyed this series. If you’re gonna read it, check TWs before diving in, though. There’s a couple instances through the series concerning SA, kidnapping, torture…it’s a lighter series, but it’s got a few dark elements to it that can’t be ignored.
(3.5) Finally! I feel like I need a break from smut after reading this series! I’m relieved that Lilly has finally met her dad and his side of the family. Don’t even get me started on baby violetttt! Ugh so cute!
10% plot 90% smut A fitting ending for this series. I did end up skimming some of this book and my brain is officially feeling a little like mush after 3 books of straight smutt.
I literally finished this whole book series in two freaking days I could not put the books down because of the cliffhanger that were happening at the end of each book. I think this was my most Favorite book out of the whole series because they finally got free of their family business and they got rid of their fathers in the best way possible to end the book. I love how they finally to finally happy with each other and did not have to look over their shoulder for something bad to happened to them. I’m glad she finally got to meet her father and the rest of her family.

please don’t ask me why i kept reading the series, i have no idea. but i wish i didn’t. if i have to read “her vagisty,” “panty melting grin/smile,” or some variation of the guys “roaring” their release…….. it’ll be too fucking soon.
This book follows the events of the book 2 cliffhanger and how Lilly and her guys will recover. They all gain some new friends/chosen family and it's nice to see Lilly rely on them and not just her guys. I liked that everything got wrapped up this book. We get closure about Lilly's mother, we find more about Lilly's family, even her father. All of the twisted drama concerning the guys' family is cleaned up, and they get to live a carefree life now. There wasn't as much smut in this book as compared to the first two, but don't worry there's still quite a few. And there's a pure MM scene with Loki and Kai and we later see that they're getting comfortable by showing each other affection. And of course, the only correct way to wrap up this series is to end it with a spicy scene that has DVP.
Favorite quotes/scenes:
-"I'm drowning, Ash, and I don't know how to swim to the surface." "I'll bring you to the surface, my love. Or drown with you. But you are not alone. You don't need to fight this by yourself."
-"You were my light when there was only darkness, Sweetheart. You showed me that there was something to hope for, that I could be loved. You are my soul, my heart, and my light." (Kai)
-"I knew that you would change my life, our lives, from the first moment that you stepped out of that shower. I just never knew how much you would become a part of me. You are buried so deep inside, Pretty Girl, that if they were to cut me in half you would be there too, in every part of me." (Loki)
-"You are mine, Baby Girl, and I am yours until we draw our last breaths on this cursed earth. And even then I'll fucking hold your soul ransom and I dare anyone to take it away from me." (Jax)
-"You are the best part of me, Princess. You taught me how to love again, how to live again, how to breathe again. You arrived like a shooting star, burning all the bad that came your way and leaving only good. We were destined, it was written in the stars that we would be together, and I will never stop worshipping you, never stop thanking whatever god decided that I was worthy of you." (Ash)
-"You all gave me a love at a time when I'd lost everything. You gave me hope when I felt hopeless. You gave me back the parts of myself that I never knew were missing. You captured my heart, we are all bound together for eternity, and I never want to be released from your love." (Lilly)
Lilly’s story concludes in this book, and it’s the perfect ending. Released is quite a bit darker than the first two, in some ways, but Lilly and the guys handle things the way they always do - by kicking a$$ and being awesome.
This whole series is so dark but so fun - Lilly’s unique swears and sass, and her ability to roll with anything while not taking any shite makes her one of my favorite heroines. Add in the guys with their individual dark sides and the way they interact with Lilly, and this is a wonderful character-driven story.
There is still plenty of spice in this book, although the circumstances for a fair chunk of the story mean that it’s paused for a bit. We also meet some intriguing new characters and I’m definitely hoping we see them in a future story *cough*twinsandwich*cough* 😉
What a way to end the series !!!! I'm so sad it's over, I don't know what to do with my life now. This series has had me hooked from the start I loved following Lilly's journey and watching as she develops into a strong character. She has gone through so much yet comes out stronger it's perfect. I still can't decide out of her harem who I prefer they all have there own uniqueness but if I would have to go with one it would be Jax I mean . The spice level in this book was out of this world I think new pants are required those scenes where just 🔥🔥 definitely got my mind working in over drive 😂. Thankyou so much for allowing me read this in advance. I can't wait to see what is to come next 😍
Enjoyed this. There were gaps in the story and I was ready for it to be over by the end.but the overall experience with the spot on Playlist that was like a character added so much to the story. Loved that.
I absolutely loved this book! I love how Lilly faked her death in order to free them all. Their love for each other is amazing. This book had so much spice!
What a freaking series!!! Boy oh boy they did not hesitate to smut it up 🤣 I loved this series though I never got bored. A lot of giggles and feet swinging… also super cringy but I love it.
Absolutely enjoyed this. I became obsessed with Lilly and her Knights. I loved everything about this book, the smut, the relationship, the plot. Loved it!
