What’s the point of playing nice when you're born to be bad?
Ash is all that remains of my hopes to leave my old life behind. Bittersweet memories and betrayal have ignited a vicious fury that burns through my veins like poison.
Vengeance consumes my every moment, and I won’t stop. Not until I’m holding a bleeding heart in my fist and staring at a chest emptier than my own.
I’m ready to unleash the darkness. Even if it destroys me and everyone I’ve ever cared about.
Maybe it’s time I embraced my destiny…
Reaper Flame is a full-length gritty reverse harem romance. It contains violence and mature themes, so reader caution is advised. This is book three of three.
Holly Bloom has a degree in English Literature, but don't let that fool you... she would pick a steamy romance over a Shakespeare play any day!
Holly writes contemporary romance - the dark, gritty and twisty kind. She loves creating badass babe characters, who aren't afraid to speak their minds, and writing about the men who can handle them - often, there is more than one! Why choose, right?
When she isn't working on her next project, Holly spends an unhealthy amount of time watching true crime and roaming around the woods near her home in the UK. As well as gooey chocolate brownies, Holly’s favourite thing in the world is hearing from her readers.
This was an insane trilogy right until the very end. I think I may have enjoyed this book the most as we finally get to the real action. Everyone, including Candy, have multiple opportunities to let out the killer in them and kick some ass. For so long it seemed like the enemy was bigger, badder and always one step ahead. But finally sheer luck is on their side and the book ends on a happy note. 💀💀💀
I’m kinda peeved that there’s no epilogue but because of the content and the veiled threats at the end I’m guessing Candy and her mens story is not over and this is possibly a HFN ending for a reason. Personally I think I’m happy to end for good here. For some reason I’m still grappling with the death of a minor character and it’s hard to get over. The book has a little bit of everything including hot sexy group moments and action but for a lot of the series I’ll be honest it felt like I was waiting to see everyone in action. Waiting to really feel they were the scary badasses they said they were. The 7s all kinda seemed like they were playing gang and didn’t really feel ‘real’ or believable to me if that makes any kind of sense. It wasn’t until the end and the final showdown that I could believe they had actual street cred 😎 Overall it was an ok series for me!
3.5 stars. Yep. Just as I thought. I still don’t really like these characters. One in particular. This book would’ve greatly benefited from multi POV. The relationships were just so tumultuous and kind of shallow. I noticed at the end that Candy had never actually shared almost anything with the guys. She never told them that they were the only men she’d been with. She never told them about what Hiram put her through. She never shared anything about her past at the group home. She didn’t tell them literally anything. And the worst part is that she was constantly thinking about all of it and telling Us, the reader. Like. Bitch don’t tell Me. Tell your men, dammit.
Anyway. I don’t even know why I finished this series. I lost most of my interest in book one. Honestly? I think it’s just because I didn’t have a new release lined up and I didn’t feel like going on the hunt for a new book to read… *sigh* I’m not sure I’d say it was a bad series. But I would definitely say the relationships were bad, the POV didn’t help, and the plot was just meh. It was not for me is all.
The final piece of the trilogy and again it was so good, I have really enjoyed this series this is my first experience with this particular author and it’s all been positive i definitely will be checking them out again in the future.
So after the dramatic and shocking finale we were subjected to in book two now we deal with the aftermath and Candy is not a happy bunny which is an understatement. She’s devastated and out for revenge and death and destruction are her motivation now, especially towards the individual she holds responsible.
But obviously, things are not so clear cut and the reasoning behind certain behaviours and actions if not condonable are at least understandable, Candy for the first time in a long time is having to work on her forgiveness especially if they want to present a united ironclad front to all of there enemies.
This was fast-paced emotional and very heart-warming. It was again red-hot with some intense fantastic chemistry and such an easy read. I adore Candy so much and this finale really did deliver the goods. Definitely recommend this series 110% it’s been such a rollercoaster of a ride.
Finally some action and angst. I think that she forgave them too quickly even though the explanation was freaking reasonable but it didn't mean it was right 😐 Zander has sneaked into my good books but not too much. I didn't see that plot twist coming 😶 This isn't the best killer FMC/gang RH I've read but it was good 🦋
Wow what a way to wrap up this series!! After the way the last book ended Candy/Kitten is back in Hiram's hands and he's dragged her back into his psychopathic games. Betrayal, Revenge and Forgiveness are major factors in this finale. All of which Candy/Kitten goes through with plenty of wit, sass and sarcasm. At the heart of this series for me is Candy's/Kittens relationship with the other Sevens too. One of love and family. It was one hell of a conclusion with all the loose ends tied up perfectly
Yyyeeessss!!!! What a fucking ending and amazing series!!! This book left me reeling every single page since the beginning. So many twists and turns and we WTF moments!!! I'm still fucked up from finding out about Hiram, that asshole!! This was absolutely amazing and to get to see this other aide of all the guys was heartwarming. And thank god I stuck to my initial psycho love of West, because holy shit this devious monster tattooed cock of a bloody man!!!! He is mine!!!
We get everything from this book that we've been waiting for: 🟣 the reunion of Candy with the Sevens after the big betrayal 🟣 the showdown with both Bryce 🟣 the showdown with Hiram 🟣 an ending that wraps up (almost) all the questions we still have about the main characters
Overall I would recommend the series. Candy was a bit less snarly, sneering, teeth gritty this time around (though she definitely was still very much Candy with snapping and bitchiness here and there).
I’ll go out on a limb and tell you to devour this author’s debut series, just like I did. I really enjoyed Candy and her guys! . “I don’t fu**ing deserve you,” he murmured, caressing my hair. “No,” I replied, sliding my hands up his chest. “You don’t.” — Reaper Flame: A Dark Gang Reverse Harem Romance (Lapland Underground Book 3) by Holly Bloom . I do love a good finale to a trilogy and this one didn’t disappoint. I needed a series to yank me out of the funk I’ve been in and this one, well, it did the trick. I devoured this series in 2 days and it’s been a long while since that happened!
I think this book is my favorite in the series! There’s so much character growth and plot twists I never saw coming!! And I’m usually really good at predicting plot twists! I loved the building relationships between Candy and her guys, especially after that ending in book 2!! Holly did a great job with this first series and you can see her growth as an author through each book! The only reason that this book isn’t a 5 star is because it didn’t go to the obsessive level/reread potential for me! But I have nothing negative to say!!! I loved it and definitely recommend this series!
“You may not want to accept it yet, but we’ll wait. You may not be fully ours, but we are yours.”
Reaper Flame is the third and final book in the Lapland Underground series by Holly Bloom. This book leads off of the events from the last one and dives straight back into Candy's gritty world as she deals with the aftermath of everything.
I loved the way this played out even though I think that Hiram definitely should have suffered more after everything he did!! I also loved seeing a more vulnerable side of Zander but West and Red are still my favourites 😍 Loved the spice and didn't expect that ending at all! Hoping for more from this world 😁

This one got so much darker than the previous ones. The twist from the end of the second book fuels Candy’s character for much of the beginning, and she got pretty scary at times. This one was intense for so much, and I really enjoyed it. The author’s writing style was fantastic, and I like how she blends the dark and twisted with sass, humour and love.
Tw death, murder, torture, forced marriage, death of a child?
For some reason, I keep thinking of big titty Liddy (serpent and dove) and I think its because Candy is more crude and bloody here, embracing Kitten. We got more rationale but also some sprinkles of must murder.
This one was good, we got a lot of answers, some big twists and unexpected things here. The relationship became more of a partnership and was more cemented in the end. There was a bit more steam and group scenes, a discussion on how the relationship would work and some insight into why there was a control issue.
I think the issues with Candy and love were definitely realistic honestly, I wasn't expecting it but it made sense, that it could be love was a surprise to her and it was amusing to read.
Wow!! This series..... I know I'll reread these books over and over and over again, because Candy's story reels you in and doesn't let up until the very last page of this book. All three (or four with the novella) books are completely unputdownable and if you haven't read them already, you need to set a day or two aside and just curl up with them. Just bring food and drinks, because you won't wanna leave your nest until you're through all of them. This book has all the feels and it starts off REALLY rough after the cliffy in the last book, which made you want to high five Zander. In the face. With a chair. Repeatedly. The entire book is a roller coaster of feelings and dark deeds, and the fact that Candy and her guys aren't perfect through out all their hardships, is the part that makes you feel everything with them. I hope you'll love them as much as I do, so we get to see the many, many books I hope is to come from Holly Bloom. "We were all equally fucked up and broken, like misshapen puzzle pieces that miraculously became whole when we were together."
Damn, Zander really plays the long game. Like the LONG long game.
“But if revenge was the only thing you cared about, then you’d have killed them all as soon as they got on board.” “They outnumbered me.” “Both of us know being outnumbered has never stopped you before,”
^^Ok this quote bugs because after taking out 5 skilled men in book 1 with ease, she struggles to take out just two in book 2, and is then captured smh. But now she could have taken out all of the Sevens (who are better than the hired guards) with ease? It's just not consistent, and for how much Candy threatens everyone who breaths around her, you'd think she'd be able to back her words up better than that.
Also, they have guns all the time throughout the series, but when they go to face the big boss they suddenly don't take any?? They had to fight a horde of men with just their fists, and then they were overwhelmed and taken. Make that make sense? And please tell me what kind of assassin only fights with a knife (singular) and not any other type of weapon, or even multiple knives. This logic is so beyond sloppy it's ridiculous.
I hate everyone honestly. None of these characters can communicate and just have a fucking conversation to save their lives. Every single one of them goes behind the others' backs to make choices FOR them because they think it's right, and even after having those blow up in their faces more than once, they continue to do it right up until the end. I honestly can't believe this author thought these characters' reasonings for those decisions made sense. And the arguments without ANY resolution whatsoever? No one apologizes properly and no one redeemed themselves either. Honestly they all deserve each other.
I hoped it would change after three books, but Zander still has no redeeming qualities. Also he should have groveled on his fucking knees, but he got off easy because she happened to see that he has a self harm punishment Thing he does instead of actually feeling bad about anything or apologizing. That's messed up.
Lastly: the planning?? They keep heading blindly into situations with zero plans and no contingency plans, which leads to them failing every time. -They walked into a rave knowing the big boss was there, without planning for what would happen if they were deliberately caught in a brawl. -And I don't understand what the point was about an elaborate plan getting Candy away from Hiram involving multiple car switches, a helicopter, and a yacht, only to return to the same city they rescued her from two days later. It makes no sense at all. Might as well have taken her to a hotel for two days before going back to where she was back in plain sight. -And at the end they walked into a trap with no weapons, no plan, and no backup, and the ONLY reason they came out of it alive was because the villain was crazy enough to have WANTED Candy to kill him and take over. That sort of dumb luck is a cheap ploy to use for the end of an entire series.

This book f*cking wrecked me. I have THE worst book hangover ever. Holly Bloom has once again put me through the emotional ringer and I love her for it.
First lemme say I don’t do dark romances often; I’m too empathetic, reading about heavy emotional turmoil or bullying etc physically hurts me. I generally avoid it for this reason. That said, I stumbled on Killer Candy by chance and inhaled it, then the Kitten’s novella, and then promptly joined Holly’s author group on FB so I could watch for updates while I twiddled my thumbs waiting for the second book. The cliffhanger in the second book about broke me, but I hung in there and I’m so glad I did.
This final installment had EVERYTHING I was hoping for, and a few things I didn’t but understood why they had to happen to further the story (so sad about the loss in this one). We got some much needed emotional vulnerability from Zander finally, and I have to say I was prepared to hate him for ever but the way Holly Bloom fixed things? I couldn’t. I’m a sucker for a broken soul and all of Candy’s men, as well as Candy, are very broken souls. We also got some more of West’s teddy bear side AND his delectable beast side and he is firmly in place as my favorite. Rocky was also somehow even better in this book too and I love his wild side.
That said, the steam & the spice were both turned up even further in this book and I honestly would love for Holly to go full blown smut someday because her scenes are sinfully delicious 🥵 I can’t even pick a favorite because they were all just perfect. We get one on one time with all three, we get another group scene, and we get some really dark and dirty scenes too.
The conclusion of Hiram’s part of the story was bittersweet. There was no way the conclusion of his part wasn’t going to be though and I honestly couldn’t have thought of a better way to tie that up with a nice little bow. It was heart wrenching and vindicating and even though it was a much needed “good for her” moment, it was also so knotted with other emotions. As a reader I felt good about what happened to him, but the fall out broke my heart.
A part of me wishes there is another book coming after, where we see Candy heal and make more of her place with the Sevens. To see what the do with the shit show they’re left with. But the writer part of me acknowledges that the ending was perfect. It leaves the reader with enough closure to feel satisfied but enough questions and hopes to leave them thinking about it for days to come.
And I will absolutely be thinking about this book for a while.

Holly Bloom has done it once again and utterly wrecked me with Reaper Flame, the final installment in the Lapland Underground series. Talk about a crazy roller coaster ride full of angst, steam and emotions galore!!!
Candy is still as fierce and feisty as always, and is an absolute badass FMC that isn’t afraid to speak her mind and stand up for what she believes in—even if it means going up against the demons from her past. I loved how this story fully gave her a chance to grow, to seek closure of her past and forgive certain betrayals in order to allow others fully into her circle. The overall chemistry was phenomenal and I absolutely loved the level of spice wrapped up between these pages! And the heartache?!? Oh man can Holly wreck you or what?!?
Overall, the story flowed beautifully, the characters and plot were as epic as usual and the twists and turns and non-stop action made this story a definite must read!!! Bloom definitely knows how to weave an intriguingly captivating tale that grabs hold of you tightly and never let’s go—even long after you read the last words on the pages! And while Im so beyond sad to see Candy and her delicious mens story come to an end, I couldn’t have been happier with this conclusion! It may not have been picture perfect, but then again…if you know Candy and the Sevens you wouldn’t even expect that to be the case so I loved how the story ended and left you reeling and scrambling for more! And lord us into the perfect scenario for yet another amazing series to come!
I have a LOT of thoughts about this series. I can honestly say I loved everything about it until about 98% of the way through book 2.
The only exception to that rule is Zander. I wanted to jump through my kindle and strangle him for most of the series; right up until halfway through book 3 when I fell absolutely head over heels in love with him. I don't think I've ever gone from hating to loving a character in 3 pages before, so bravo Zander.
But back to the rest. Candy pissed me right the fuck off in book 3. In the other books, there was a clear reason for her decisions but in book 3? She had no logic whatsoever left in her body. Same thing for Vixen. Her character got weaker and weaker as the books went on and I was not a fan.
I will say, however, that none of that stopped me from eating this series up. I was entertained the whole time and, honestly, I'm of the opinion that a book doesn't evoke strong emotions in the reader, it wasn't a good book.
If you're looking for entertainment, violence, spice and a lot of sassy banter, this is definitely the series for you. But just be warned; it may cause you to throw your kindle across the room.
First, this book was fantastic. It had a ton of twists and turns, a great last minute switch up, and plenty of plans going awry to show us classic Seven chaos. I want to keep this review spoiler free, but I feel required to say that this really ties up the entire series well, while leaving it open enough for some follow up at a later date, or even a spinoff.
This book is highly charged with emotion, and I felt every moment of Candy's trouble believing anyone or anything. She's been literally conditioned not to. I also enjoyed seeing more of Blackthorne towers, and def. recommend the prequel (Kitten) to get more substantial backstory on Q, Crystal, and all that jazz.
Second, the overall series as a whole. I really fell in love with this premise. I do feel there could have been some small improvement to overall flow and I wish they had been longer (in general). But, that's mainly because I want MORE of them. I really felt immersed in the Lapland Underground.
5 Stars, Holly. Great debut. Seriously can't wait for the next.
Ma’am STOPPPP!!! This was such a perfect conclusion to Candy and her guys story!!! I am so sad to see them go but I couldn’t have asked for a better ending to their HEA. While we were left reeling from That $hit show cliffy from book 2 things go from bad to worse in book three but I knew we would have to get dragged through the mud to come out on top. I loved watching Candy open up more and bring some of her walls down and I throughly enjoyed watching even the baddest of her guys show their softer side and left Candy in more and more! Made my black heart do a little dance! Candy is one of my all time favorite FMCs she is a freaking baddie who knows how to get the job done and would sacrifice herself for the ones she cares about. This series was an emotional roller coaster ride with me wanting to throat punch Zander pretty much the whole time but dang that ending was phenomenal…. Highly recommended this series and I am seriously looking forward to what comes next form this author.
I can't find the words to express what an amazing series this is!!
Book 3 in the Lapland Underground series and its bittersweet. Holly did Candy right and gave her a final book that she would be proud of, not that she would admit it. I'm just sad it's over. I could honestly read book after book about them and their daily lives. That's how good of a writer Holly is.
In this book we climb down from that horrific cliffhanger from book 2. Bejeezus that was a rough one. Candy, like her alter egos name suggests, she gave the Sevens all the claws and it was spectacular. Angry sex scenes are always so..... Vivid!
I don't want to give anything away so you're just going to have to read it yourself to find out.
** POSSIBLE SPOILERS FROM BOOK1&2** • • • Holly did it! She somehow turned it all around and got me and Candy to forgive Zander. I was crying when we heard about Rocky at first but that little twist was worth it. I loved that in the third book we got to see more of “the Kitten” and just truly how bad ass she is. Holly truly knows how to write some major bombs into her stories because I was turning the pages non stop. I’m so happy I was part of the ARC team for this series and I’m so proud and happy for Holly on this amazing debut series. I can’t wait for her next series ! I loved that little spoiler at the end 😉

It’s been a journey for Candy. It’s been her story and it’s been a brilliant story. It’s definitely not your typical gang romance and that’s what makes it a bloody good series.
A killer on the run with a dark past that’s one step ahead of her. When she finds herself a little hope to start fresh or at least to hide for 5 minutes. She takes on a stripper job and boom the story begins. And what a story.
3 hot bad boys who all carry some different and unique to this series.
It’s sensitive and trigger happy through out this series.
This third and final installment in the series brought together all the build up from the previous two books and certainly created a good end to the series.
Everything comes to a head in this book but not before we get more twists - which I feel I should applaud Holly for because these books certainly keep you on your toes.
A lot happens in this final book and without giving away too much there are some really touching bits, some devastating bits and some naughty bits!
I can't quite put my finger on why but I do feel like the first two books in the series were stronger but this doesn't mean this book was lacking - it still delivered and was a great read
Reaper Flame is the exciting, heart pounding conclusion to this amazing series! After being betrayed, Candy is now in the clutches of Hiram and is now his Kitten. But all is not as it seems and Candy/Kitten soon has to choose a side to work with. I thought this was a heart pounding read which left my emotions all over the place. You will feel anger, sadness, fear and a little happiness. If you have been following this series than you should definitely read this conclusion and if you haven’t than what are you waiting for?
I didn’t think Candy’s story could get any better or have any more surprise. Man was I wrong!! Reapers Flame had so many more twist and turns that I didn’t see coming! West has been and always will be my favorite of Candy’s guys with Zander coming in to a close second. Rocky who couldn’t love him he is the perfect all-around charming guy, and his and Candy’s chemistry needs no work because they are each other first loves. This hands down is a top read of the year! 5 stars is never enough when it comes to this series in my opinion. I 100 % recommend this series .
This is absolutely one of my all time favorite series! This is a must read/must re-read!! I can't believe I'm never going back to Lapland again omgggg. Candy is wonderful, she's been amazing from book 1 and she continues to adapt and persevere throughout all the challenges and trauma she's faced. I wasn't sure how things could ever be "right" again because of the way that book 2 ended but Holly is an absolute mastermind and buttoning everything up in a way that leaves the readers content (and hot and bothered!). I highly recommend this series!!
