Giving her exclusive access was just to the team...not to his heart...

Britt "Cowboy" Callahan's favorite response for the media? No comment. He's seen how they can ruin lives and tear families apart. All for "the truth." Too bad the stunning brunette stealing his attention at press conferences is one of them. And her quest for the truth just landed him on a date, with no way out. But the more he gets to know her, the more he starts to wonder if he wants one.

Theo Kappas is smart, tenacious and doesn't let Britt's prickly demeanor or continued no's keep her from what she wants. And what she wants is exclusive access to the team that everyone is talking about. The Atlanta Rising Football Club. The fact that she has to outwit her long term crush is irrelevant, even if it does make her heart beat faster. She's determined to not let her attraction get in the way—she's a reporter first, a woman second.

After Cowboy reluctantly gives Theo the access she wants, the two are forced to work side by side, and realize there’s more to the other than they thought. But can a reporter and a man who hates them be on the same team?

Claire Hastings is a walking, talking awkward moment. She loves Diet Coke, gummi bears, the beach, and books (obvs). When not reading she can usually be found hanging with friends at a soccer match or grabbing food (although she probably still has a book in her purse). Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Note 2: This is a series. Please read in order as previous characters do make cameos.

Trigger Warnings: abduction, murder, reference to suicide, mention of drugs, mention of fraud, infidelity.

This was a steamy, slightly emotional, angsty sports romance.

And I enjoyed it to some degree. The setting of the Atlanta Rising was a lot of fun to explore and be in, totally immersing myself in the experience - despite not giving one hoot to football myself. The side characters are super fun too, each with their own dynamic qualities and charm, which made me wish immensely to read their stories too and feel involved a hell lot. The fun loving energy in the place made me want to run there, so bad, but nope just stuck at home I suppose for now.

Now the MCs...although cowboy was a lot of fun, happy-go-lucky, emotional, steamy and so damn cute at times - his love interest was not that. I found myself gravitating a lot less towards her, possibly wishing she was not cowboy's girl - because of her own slightly narrow, strict, unbelievably stuckup attitude - not even dana could cure it- were several of many reasons that I just...could not tolerate her. The ending and her own reasons did not thaw my heart for her, and reminded me not to chase after a journalist as a love interest.

Also the chapters could've been shortened - sometimes they seemed longer than they should've been for a 28 chapter story and yes I counted.

But some of the issues tackled in the book were definitely done adequately and I applaud the author for that - not everybody can pull it off.

Hence why my rating and overall enjoyment level of the novel.

Until the next read,

-TMR

It’s a well known fact that most athletes do not mix well with reporters, for obvious reasons, which is why I love reading romances journeys with this kind of match. It’s an automatic push-pull situation and I am here for it!

Theo & Britt were truly opposites in almost every way, but it worked for them because it was in those opposite traits that their true compatibility shone thru. Okay, I know that sounds wacky, but it basically means they each had what each other needed to grow and because of that, they found true compatibility :) Their banter and wit will have you turning the pages with a huge smile on your face. Their chemistry is sexy and spicy and full of spark. They couldn’t have denied each other even if they tried :)

I was fully entertained from beginning to end with Offsides and even had some emotional moments that caught me off guard. The story unfolded with an air of hope and heart, and it just made me happy to read it. I highly recommend not just this book, but also this entire series. Honestly, I have yet to read a Claire Hastings book I didn’t like so do with that info what you will :)

I am #TeamARFC for life at this point. Cowboy and Theo are HANDS DOWN my favorite couple. The two of them together are addictive and just pure perfection.

Cowboy is not a fan of the media and for a very good and also heartbreaking reason. Theo, well she is the media and wants an exclusive pass to the team. There is an instant attraction between Cowboy and Theo from the moment they meet, yet her profession has him staying as far away as he can.

I absolutely LOVED their chemistry. Their banter in the beginning is addictive. Their passion. Cowboy’s dirty talk. Theo’s love for the sport and her love for statistics. Cowboy was able to bring Theo out of her shell, out of the walls she put up around herself to keep her focus strictly on her career.

This story is full of amazing banter, insane chemistry, plenty of spice and moments that will have you swooning.

This story can be read as a complete standalone, however, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND reading Out of Bounds and Pressure Point to get the full picture.

If you’re looking for an opposites attract, sports romance this is one to read.

4 star review Offsides (Atlanta Rising Football Club #3) by Claire Hastings

Having read and enjoyed the previous book in the series I was looking forward to Britt "Cowboy" Callahan and Theo Kappas’s story. This can be read as a stand alone so there isn't an issue if you haven't read the previous books in the series.
Despite his perceptions of the media, after bitter experiences when he was younger, Cowboy is drawn to Theo, there is something about the feisty reporter that calls to him. She wants exclusive access to the Atlanta Rising team and needs to convince him to agree. Frustratingly The is just as attracted to Cowboy but she is a reporter first and a woman second, or is she?
I really liked both of these characters, particularly Theo, who is such a fun, sassy woman and one that you cannot help want to succeed. Working together it quickly becomes impossible to ignore the chemistry that sizzles between them. The banter between them was humorous and had me smiling on a number of occasions.
It was fun to watch the push and pull dynamic of their relationship as it progressed. Offsides is an entertaining read that left me with a smile on my face.

Offsides is the 3rd book in the Atlanta Rising Football Club but can be enjoyed individually as they are each a standalone. Now let's dive into Britt "Cowboy" Callahan and Theo Kappas story.
Cowboy is a prominent person in the league, he is private, loyal and very good at his job. He has had a very bad experience with the media in the past, so he stays clear of them and stays under their radar.
Theo Kappas has made quite a name for herself in the sport reporting arena. She has morals, integrity and is always looking for the next big story. She and Cowboy have skirted around one another for months, but this man does more than intrigue her.
Cowboy knows that Theo is the press, but he is enthralled with her but in does a very good job at keeping it under wraps. It is all good until they find themselves working shoulder to shoulder for the team. They soon realize they have chemistry; wonderful, sweet sexy banter and the pull may be too much to deny! Is it possible for Cowboy to push aside his fear of press to finally see the woman that Theo really is?? Loved them and their story!

Ms. Hastings is writing a soccer series that I am swiftly becoming addicted too. Luckily my family is in support of this addiction.

Offsides takes us back to the front office side of the Atlanta Rising pitch with technical director Cowboy Callahan in the hot seat. For all of Cowboy's friendly, open, warmth, and happiness to be in Atlanta and his fierce pride in the team he and Gunner have put together, he keeps a lot of himself to himself. Cowboy's character is written similarly to that of a great comedian. When he's onstage it's as if he is an open book. The sun is shining, everything is grand, and there are smiles for days. Yet, when you look closer you realize that other than seeing him on the pitch or with the gents or with the Atlanta Rising management team; there is little about Cowboy that is known publicly.

Theo Kappas is setting out to change that. Well, at least a little bit. Theo.. or Theodosia if we're being accurate, is a woman in a male dominated community. Her character reminds me of a mix of female sports announcers for the EPL as well for the World Cup. There are some differences though. Theo is adamant about keeping the short version of her name. She also is a driven woman with goals in mind. While these goals are perfectly reachable and understandable, Theo seems to be ignoring, squashing or eradicating parts of herself in order to reach them. Cowboy recognizes that there are some things that Theo is holding back from and he wishes she would just let a little bit of happy and light in. Let her news anchor face drop for a minute. Just one.

This is where the plot rests, and it is an amazing one. Rich in emotion, with the push pull of two people who have lost pieces of themselves at young age. Both have impressively deep scars from those losses. Each of them reacted to those losses in similar yet divergent ways. They both wear masks. All the time. Cowboy went with the Comedy mask. Theo with the Tragedy.

For all that Cowboy is the good time, happy to go along, friendly chap from America - he'll only talk his game with you or his players with you if you are wearing press credentials. Oh and his boys - they are a hard off limits. His players are humans with lives and he protects that privacy like a mother bear protecting her cubs.

Theo is a professional. Hard stop. No muss, no fuss, no joking around, serious reporter. She is there to be respected. Yes, she is a woman. She knows her sports. She knows her stats. Actually this powerhouse beauty is hiding a statistics driven brain that would make some data scientists and most sports commentators drop to their feet in awe. What she is not is a frilly, fun time girl who is going to go out on the town, drinking, dancing, laughing or having fun. That's for later. Once she's won an award- or five.

Behind both of these character roles though the main driver for the necessity of their masks is that they were hurt deeply to their cores and they don't know how to trust.
Ms. Hastings writes a gorgeous story of two people slowly emerging from their pasts; offering each other small bits of themselves. The small bits lead to bigger bits. Then it builds. Until they are in a relationship and neither realize how far they've come or how deep these feelings have rooted.

Reading through the pages of Cowboy just wanting to push Theo's buttons to get her to smile. To relax. To just BREATH was akin to reliving those awkward high school years where the guy is attracted to the girl, doesn't want to admit it, but just wants to see her smile. So he does silly or stupid things to achieve his goal. There is a pureness to that which disappears in adult relationships. It was fun and touching to read in this story. Particularly with the deeper twists Ms. Hastings weaves into Cowboy's life.

From Theo's perspective, it's that girl who is talking to the guy whom she'd never thought she would have the chance to meet. Again, there is that wisp of adolescence. The Mathlete talking to the Senior who is captain of the soccer team. He's off to a D1 school in the fall. The Mathlete who knows all of the stats this guy has ever seen in a game.....since their middle school days. Again, it's a small wispy thing. Something that flows into Theo's job, yet doesn't. Which also rings bittersweet when we reach the twisted dark places in her back story and how deeply she was cut to her core.

Eventually though this newfound trust, as well as the ghosts of ones past, must be confronted. Ethics are tested and questioned. Questions of when the cameras really stop are put to the test. What is or isn't relevant to the whole story? The tension between whose scars and hurts will win out is stretched taunt.

I was very pleasantly surprised at how secondary characters where utilized to help these two wounded souls see the other's side of the story. I was also very pleased with how Theo and Cowboy's people both supported them, yet challenged them to move on from their pasts.
Ms. Hastings doesn't skimp on any characters in her stories. Even the characters that may flit in and out will have an impact. She uses her world wisely, and in ways that can surprise her readers.

This is a story that kept me up well past my bedtime. One that my family actually teases me about as we are a soccer fanatical family. They would happily be Atlanta Rising fans.

Ms. Hastings has an amazing series which is growing and solidifying with each book that comes out. Switching back and forth between key managerial roles within the team and players themselves, the Atlanta Rising feel very real to me. Honestly, I typically read these books with my phone open to the EPL and MSL news sites to see if I can guess if any characters may be inspired by real humans. Ms. Hastings writes incredibly full, rich, well rounded characters in all of her books. I can't wait to read Chance's novella which is due out later this month and I'm really hoping that eventually we will see what happens with Dash.

In only their first season of play, the Atlanta Rising are off to a winning start. Sports reporter Theodosia "Theo" Kappas has made every effort to gain access to the team for her popular syndicated TV show, but so far, the team's notoriously media shy technical director, Britt "Cowboy" Callahan, has ignored her. She finally decides to get creative by bidding on a date with Cowboy at the team's charity auction, but Cowboy puts her off after she wins. Aside from his general dislike of the media and wish to protect his players from intrusive questions, he's not ready to confront his inconvenient attraction to Theo. Unfortunately, he can't put the date off forever, and it goes exactly as badly as he'd feared; when he learns that Theo wants exclusive access to the team as they prepare for the upcoming Fremont Cup tournament in Las Vegas, Cowboy refuses and walks out on her. After team owner Felicity overrules Cowboy's decision, he's not only forced to apologize to Theo, he's stuck working closely with her. As he gradually realizes that Theo is nothing like the reporters he's known in the past, will Cowboy be able to resist his growing feelings for her?

My favorite thing about the Atlanta Rising series so far is that it hasn't focused only on the players, but on the organization as a whole. While professional athletes are hot and I love reading romances about them, this series has presented a different, equally compelling perspective on sports and sports romance that is truly refreshing. I've enjoyed getting a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes and how things work on the business side of sports, not just what happens on the field. That was especially true in "Offsides," in which male protagonist Cowboy, a retired player himself, served as the team's technical director and made it his mission to look out for the players he supervised.

I loved Cowboy's opposites attract romance with Theo. Aside from his stance on reporters (for which he had very good, and honestly heartbreaking, reasons), he was a pretty laid-back, fun-loving guy. By contrast, Theo was a rule follower who prioritized her career above all else, and Cowboy made it his mission to show her how much fun life outside of work could be. I truly enjoyed their flirty banter, which was a perfect complement to their steamy chemistry. Further, I thought their relationship developed at a perfect pace given their respective trust issues.

Overall, "Offsides" was my favorite book of the series so far, and I highly recommend it for all fans of contemporary/sports romance. I can't wait for the next book in the series. (Fortunately, I won't be waiting long; "Assist" comes out next week!)

Offsides by Claire Hastings is the 3rd in her Atlanta Rising Football Club series (which is actually a spinoff from her Indigo Royal Series). I promise these can be read as stand alone but reading more definitely adds depth. I received an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review!

So this book followed Cowboy Callahan, former football superstar and current Technical Director for the team whee he works with some of his best friends. He’s a tattooed, bald, beast of a man who is one million percent anti media…. Theo is literally media who gets embedded with the team and maybe had a secret longtime crush on Cowboy when he was a player… Cowboy and Theo tiptoe around the line of conflict of interest in the most delicious way possible.

Cowboy was maybe the swooniest of all the men in this series so far… For all his gruff exterior and anti-media opinions, he really did sweep Theo off her feet with his words… I mean he literally also swept her off her feet a few times too but that’s beside the point… :) There was one quote from Cowboy where he is literally using an explanation on his use of grammar that sealed the deal for me!

Theo’s love of the sport to her intent on maintaining a professional distance while embedding with the team was admirable and her longtime secret crush on Cowboy was adorable. I really enjoyed reading this couple because they were in so many ways total opposites and yet they shared so much too. It was exciting to read about their semi-secret / forbidden romance. I also loved how the team and staff played a part in the whole story. For long time readers of the series, Felicity stole every scene she was in. I adore her and got major “Rebecca” from Ted Lasso vibes from her.

Also, Claire dropped some major seeds for a book 4 that I hope sprout because I NEED to know how that plays out.

I have read this entire series. This is the third book in the series and easily stands alone. This was a good hate turns to lust and then love story about two people who are forced to work together.

Theo is a new character in this series, and she hosts a sports talk show. Britt/Cowboy HATES reporters and so he hates Theo as well and does not trust them. But he is forced to work with her as he is the team director, and she is given an exclusive with his team.

It starts out with hate but as time goes by these two start to let down their walls and fall for each other.

There is LOTS of sex scenes in this story. I felt there was way too many scenes and I started skimming them. But I also enjoyed the two characters and the plot in this story. At times I felt that both Britt and Theo were a little immature, but it's also gave this story so spunk and made this story more fun.

This was mostly a fun story and is my favorite this far in the series. Britt was the reason I really enjoyed this story. He has a great sense of humor, is a happy and relaxed guy and he is really nice challenge for Theo. He added a lot to her life, and I loved watching Theo become charmed by him

Theo, I had a tougher time connecting with. She is a woman that life hurt, and she took it to mean that all men are like that, and she has to learn how to let go, and trust in another person and let her heart fall for Britt. At times I felt she had some growing up to do and she needed a tougher skin as a reporter. But I also loved how she allowed Britt in and showed him who she really was on a deeper scale.

I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Claire gives us a romance full of love/hate, give and take with love and steamy scenes as well. Offsides is book three of Claire's Atlanta Rising Football Club series and it is a fantastic read. Theo & Cowboy Callahan's story has us learning that the media and Cowboy are not the best of friends, but when Theo, a sports reporter, walks into his life, he changes his mind.

Cowboy is a former professional footballer who is now the Technical Director of the Atlanta Rising FC. He has hated the media and anyone involved with it because of a tragedy that happened in his past. When Theo, Theodosia, wins a date with Cowboy, he treats her badly and, in turn, apologizes, but she gets him to be the only reporter with full access to the team. Will Cowboy let down his walls when he finds out more about Theo? Can he trust her? Will the lines get blurred? When all hell breaks out, what will happen?

Theo has been a huge fan of Britt "Cowboy" Callahan for years and to able to get close to him is a plus. She has been burned in a past relationship and is determined to keep her mantra true - reporter first, women second. Well, being around Cowboy is having her rethinking it. When secrets are shared, they begin to get close. Can they learn to trust one another? Will Theo put her job first, or will she put Theo first? Her morals come into play when a situation happens when the team is on the road. Will her love overrule her head?

Offsides is a standalone novel, but you just might want to read the first two to get an insight into the secondary characters. This book had me laughing a few times and needing a cold drink. Grab Offsides and make sure you have a chunk of time because you will not want to put it down.

Cowboy’s smile is infectious, Theo’s stand is solid. Both of these characters are larger than life, they both felt struggles, have flaws. Sometimes in order to move forward, you have to be willing to risk it all.

Britt “Cowboy” Callahan is now the Tecinacal Coordinator for the Atlanta Rising Football Club. This man is all about the smiles. To hear about Britt’s past only makes me take him deeper into my heart, and it explains so much. Cowboy is not a fan of the media, so what does this hot, hunky hero do. He enters the enemies camp. All cards are on the table.

Therdosia “Theo” Kappas the star of the sports show Sports Down South, Theo is a reporter first and a woman second. Finally having the in with one of the hottest up and coming sports team in Atlanta is top shelf, but she is a woman with a secret of her own.

Claire Hasting sure knows how to work the whole opposites attract vibe. Cowboy and Theo chemistry is off the charts. Once they move on from the initial loathing of each other they put their professional hats on, but can having that much charge between them keep their passions at bay?

The settings of Offsides was perfect. I am a huge sport romance fan. I enjoyed revisiting characters from Claire Hastings previous books in the Atlanta Rising Football Club Series to see how much they grew on their own and as a team. If you like hot soccer players, women who know how to take charge of their own paths, hot steamy passion and a heartfelt story that will have you wanting more then grab a copy of Offsides by Author Claire Hastings.

Book three of the Atlanta Rising Football Club goes moves away from the players and goes back to a staff member. Cowboy is the Technical Director for the team, helping form the team and manage them alongside head coach, Gunnar. As a former football player himself he knows the ins and outs of the game and knows that he hates the media and every reporter.

Theo is a local news anchor who has been hounding Cowboy for an exclusive and when he wouldn’t return her emails or calls she bid on him at the Rising Bachelor Auction (happened at the end of book two). That is when cowboy realizes that Theo is actually Theodosia and not Theodore.

Cowboy and Theo are truly opposites. Cowboy lives his life to the fullest, taking advantage of every opportunity. Theo lives her life by a very strict rule book and finds it very difficult to deviate from that. When Cowboy is forced to meet with Theo the first time it does not go well, however he later agrees to give her an exclusive story to the team which means they will be spending the entire season together. They had a Rocky relationship in the beginning but once they got to know each other it proved that opposites truly do attract. Theo needed Cowboy in her life so she could start living her life and Cowboy needed Theo to complete his.

My Review ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

Reading Cowboy & Theo’s story was so great!!! These two are definitely one of those couples that you could tell very early on that if they ever got together they would be explosive and that didn’t disappoint.

Britt “Cowboy” has always had a closed off stance to the media and with the events that happened in his younger days he has every reason to want nothing to do with them. Only issue is when the sassy report keeps pushing her way into his life he finally has to let her have the access she so wants.

Theo loved by one rule. Reporter First Woman Second, well that is until it came to Britt. Having access to the hottest sports team in Atlanta was something that she thrives on and getting an up-close view of how this team came together was even better.

Once these two finally get past the initial issues of dislike they are fire and it was get to read the evolution of this relationship. I laughed at how easy Britt riled her up and how she tried to stay serious even though she wanted to let lose even a little bit.

I loved getting to see the other couples from previous books and can’t want to see who may be next to come.

Definitely put this one in the must read sports book list.

This is book three in the Atlanta Rising Football Club series. This is Britt “Cowboy” Callahan’s story. He lives life to the fullest – has had a very successful soccer career and now works the new expansion team in Atlanta, along with his best friend. Cowboy has no time for the press, experience has left him leery, and he avoids contact as much as possible. Enter Theodosia “Theo” Pappas, successful sports reporter who wants inside access to the Atlanta Rising. She is tenacious, focused, and persistent – lives by the rules. Cowboy and Theo couldn’t be more different – they butt heads to begin with, but watching them move from animosity to friendship to lovers was entertaining and steamy. Cowboy was able to get Theo to live a little – to color outside the lines – and despite their differences they are a great match. They have off the charts chemistry and Cowboy is such a dirty talker!
This was an enjoyable read and a great addition to the series. I got to catch up with all my favorite characters from previous books and I hope to see more of some new characters. Advanced copy provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

For the Love of the Game

Britt Callahan, Tech Director for the Atlanta Rising Football Club, has one promise that he will never break. Always live life to the fullest. Ok, so he also has a rule that anyone associated with the media is off limits. So why is he feeling butterflies, (among other things,) every time he hears her voice?

Theodosia Kappas, ace reporter for Sports Down South, is determined to be the one to tell the world about Atlanta Rising. She wants the exclusive access to the story, and refuses to take "no comment" as an answer. Even if she has to outwit the man whose posters were her wallpaper as a teen.

Cowboy and Theo couldn't be more opposite. The man who hates anyone associated with the media on principle, is determined to not let the reporter into his heart. Their attraction to each other is like putting matches to gasoline.

The author will have you laughing at inside jokes within the team, but also feeling many heart tugging emotions. I have so much love for these two, but rather than spoil them, why don't you go read them. You won't be disappointed.

“Offsides” is a fun, flirty and steamy soccer romance that had me turning the pages to read all of Cowboy and Theo’s story.

Britt “Cowboy” Callahan hates the media and that’s putting it nicely. When Theodosia, or Theo as she goes by, wants all access to the FC to get the real scope of the guys and their quest to win the cup. The two are like oil and water at first. With Cowboy’s aversion to the media and Theo firmly believing to be a reporter first and woman second, the clash. But something clicks between them spending time together.

Cowboy and Theo have amazing chemistry and you could feel it as you read their story. They’re “enemies-ish” only because they both have their opinions on things. But their banter wins out and you see them break down the walls. Cowboy is sure of himself on and off the field and that was my favorite thing about him. It never came off as arrogant, just that he knew himself and was okay with who he was. Theo is smart and independent and a new favorite of mine. She knew her career and what she wanted out of it. This is a great soccer story and I enjoyed all of Cowboy’s teammates too.

Holy hell, each book and each of the new characters in this series get better and better!! I want to apply for a job for The Atlanta Rising Football Club…hahah

Each of the books in the series can be read as a standalone however I recommend reading them in order so you can understand the backstory of the other characters. PLUS the books are really good!

Theo is a badass, sassy and determined woman. She is a reporter who does not back down and is determined to get her story.

Cowboy is the technical director for the ARFC- he loves the club and everyone associated with it. He does not like the media and makes sure everyone knows it.

Theo needs something from Cowboy and Cowboy WANTS some from Theo. The banter, sexual tension and chemistry between these two will light your kindle on fire.

Each of Claire’s books are so fun, entertaining and smexy! She brings the characters to life with her words and she will make you laugh, tug at your heartstrings and keep you up all night to finish the book.

Congratulations Claire on another amazing book!

I received a complimentary copy and I am leaving my honest review.

Britt (Cowboy) Callahan is the technical director at the new soccer team, Atlanta Rising. He’s a former soccer player with a Texas accent, lots of tattoos and a zest for life that’s hard to come by.
Theodosia (Theo) Kappas, is a sports journalist that takes her job way to seriously and doesn’t believe in having fun.
These two start as enemies to lovers and from their very first interaction sparks fly! But these two are stubborn and hard headed, so they won’t give into their feelings that easily… once they do, my oh my, buckle up buttercup, we are in for a masterful ride of love and passion and happiness.

They both give as good as they get and that’s just hard to come by. Theo has had a crush on this man since she was a teenager and he was a star player in Liverpool. So for her to not only interact with Cowboy but also get to know him and be with him 🤩 Cowboy is such a dirty talker and Theo has so much to learn from his relaxed view of life. Perfect for each other doesn’t even begin to cover it. These two are just meant to be!

I absolutely love this book, the group of friends is amazing and I can’t wait to continue reading this series.

I haven’t read every book in this series so I can honestly say ‘ You can read and enjoy Offsides as a stand-alone’ although I’m sure once you meet one team player you will certainly be looking for more. This is Britt “Cowboy” Callahan and Theo Kappas’s story.
Cowboy doesn’t have a good relationship with the press, bad experiences from his youth has tainted that profession for him and he normally avoids them at all cost but their is something about the sassy reporter that has him wondering if now’s the time to give her the exclusive she is desperate for, Theo has always said she would never cross the line, her job as a reporter is far to important but the attraction she feels for Cowboy is going to be hard to fight…..
This was a fun, entertaining read, I loved watching this couple push each other’s buttons, the chemistry is hot and the banter is witty, the characters are easy to connect and relate to and that to me means I have just read a great book that I would highly recommend.

I have enjoyed The Atlanta Rising Series since book 1 and could not wait for Cowboy to be front and center. He has way more layers to him then you would think.

Cowboy is a live life to the fullest, rules are meant to be broken type of guy. The one thing hates most is the media. He refuses to interact with them and when you find out his reasoning why, its a very vaild reason and was not expecting that little twist. Unforuntaley for Cowboy he puts himself into a perdicment and is forced to spend a lot of time with one particuar reporter he has been avodiing Theo.

Theo had one rule, report first, woman second. She did not have any time for fun, until she meets cowboy. Theo as well as Cowboy has a lot of layers to her and like Cowboy has a very good reason on why she has a wall up around her heart.

Watching these two break the walls down of each other was both enjoyable and heartbreaking. These two had such amazing chemistry, great banter and the steam was AMAZING.

A must read by Claire Hastings.

Cowboy has an aversion to reporters, he has seen what damage they can do a person’s personal life, so when Theo tries to get exclusive access to the team he shoots her down. She even goes so far as to purchase him at a charity auction, he get stuck between a rock and hard place when his boss tells him he has to go.

Theo has had a crush on Cowboy for a long time, but she will not let that stop her from getting the story or the access she wants. When his boss finds out about her request, she thinks it is a good idea and would be great for the team. This will be the two into close proximity having to work closely with one another.

These two are so opposite, he is more laid back and she is a lot high strung. As much as he tries to deny it he is attracted to from the beginning, even when they are fighting they have chemistry. He is forced to work with her but will he be able to let a reporter into his heart?

I cannot wait for the next in the series.

Offsides Is the third book in Claire Hastings ( Atlanta Rising Football Club Series ) a series that just keeps getting better and better with every single book . If you are as much of a fan as I am of sports romances that are angsty , steamy , emotional, intriguing, heartbreaking, heartfelt, filled with off the charts chemistry, many surprises and more then you are not going to want to miss this amazing book .although I have loved each and every book as well as couple , I have to say that Theo and Cowboy just might be my favorite yet . From the moment I met both characters they had my heart so completely. The two of them together are just pure perfection and the chemistry they share is off the charts hot . It’s not often I come across a story that has the ability to hold my attention or make me feel all the emotions that Offsides has . It’s a emotional rollercoaster In every sense of the word. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

This is the third book in this amazing series and is Britt / Cowboy and Theo’s story. Cowboy detests the press, and Theo is a reporter who want an access past to the team. When Cowboy and Theo must work together, they see through the façade they each present to others, and the sparks fly between them. These two may be completes opposites, but they complement each other perfectly, and the chemistry between them is undeniable. This is a well written story which this talented author has done an outstanding job in weaving this tale, which is emotionally charged, witty banter, humor, intrigue, passion, heartbreak, and love, which leads to an entertaining and compelling page turner. I look forward to reading more form this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Each new book in the series I fall for another couple. While Liam and Avery are still my favorite, I LOVED Cowboy and Theo. Cowboy is a man who lives each day like it’s his last. He’s a fun loving guy who has this big heart. Theo was burned in the past and is a all work and no fun kind of girl. Theo and Cowboy couldn’t be any different, but you know what they say about opposites attracting. And let me tell you these two were fire. That is after the walls came down and they saw each other for more that what was face value.

I started this series as a new reader to Claire and now she has me as a reader. I want, no need more of these players. Glad I didn’t have to wait and could binge these.

OMG! I absolutely love Cowboy and Theo! Not only do I think they’re my favorite of all of Claire’s couples to date, but they also make me rethink ranking the enemies to lovers trope second to second chance romance. I loved delving into their story and finding out what makes them tick. Learning why Cowboy hates reporters, while it was not something I saw coming, I definitely understood his response to the media. The same was also true about Theo and understanding why she was so intense at work and didn’t let herself have fun in life. If you haven’t read Offsides yet, you are missing out and need to get a copy right away.

love this series

I found this author after I read a novella by her which featured one of the players on the team leading me to this series. This one is my favorite so far. I loved Cowboy and his zest for life. If anyone was going to break through Theo’s walls it was going to be him. I knew what issue they would face with her being a reporter but their fight was filled with zingers that hit the bullseye. I can’t wait to continue reading and wonder if Dash will get his own story.
I also love that the characters in the previous books make their appearance in each of the novels.

I'm sure Cowboy and Theo's story is my favourite out of the series. They just made me smile throughout the whole time I was reading their story. They have undeniable chemistry and their banter is just so entertaining. It was so fun to see them push each other's buttons. I loved how they wore each other out, break each other's walls because, in the end, they're better off together. They're perfect for each other. I really enjoyed their story. I also loved that the previous characters also appeared in this one.

Offside was a cute enemies(ish) to lovers/close proximity with the perfect amount of angst built through the slow burn. Cowboy and Theo have the perfect amount of banter between them and it leads to some sizzling sexual chemistry! I love the passion they both bring to the table in their own way and that both needed a swift kick in their behinds my side characters in order to put their insecurities aside and accept their HEA.

I so love this series and am looking forward to reading the next addition, “Assist”!

I have read the previous books within this series and I couldn't wait to get my hands on Cowboy and Theo's story and it did not disappoint!

The chemistry between Cowboy and Theo is out of this world. It is electric and I was living for it! I absolutely loved the banter between these two, they pushed each other and it was extremely entertaining. I had a smile on my face the whole way through reading this book. I loved everything about it!!

A massive thank you to Claire Hastings for a copy of this e-arc in exchange for an honest review.
