Awesome. Very relatable and the humour is so on point. It can be dark at times but also so true.
This is my first book I comic from James Stewart. The comic is so simple but left such good values in life. In the introduction the author explained about the content of this book, how issues of anxiety and depression caused by the pandemic COVID-19.
I am so glad that I received this comic from the distributor. I loved the jokes and most of them made me laugh. I loved the last chapter where it was more about philosophy. So many great lessons in this comic. Highly recommended!
Thank you Times Reads for sending a copy of Dinosaur Philosophy in return for an honest review.
My favourite comic delivers again. Short and sweet and something I’ll pick up and go back to. Hard to understand how something so simple can give such beautiful insights on life.
How to describe this comic? Simple, yet deep. Dark at times, but also heartwarming. And relatable for those who often feel they don’t relate. @dinosandcomics are the best!
Quite relatable and wholesome comics! While being humourous these even offer a gentle nudge towards self-reflection and growth. ❤️🦕
"Face the negatives in life with hope and a sense of humour. Welcome the positive sides of life without cynicism and with an open heart. Remember that however annoying and frustrating people might sometimes seem, they are all we have.*
Cute and funny as heck! I've never actually heard of @dinosandcomics but the cover was too cute to resist when I saw this at the library.
I love what the introduction said about how issues such as loneliness, depression and anxiety caused by the Covid-19 pandemic aren't the new normal. Rather, "they were always normal, and the pandemic has merely caused an increase both in their incidence and our need to talk about them."
The jokes in this adorable collection are super on-point and the self-deprecating humour gave me a good chuckle. The last chapter was a bit too philosophical for my liking but overall, I think many will be able to relate to this book. It's the perfect pick- me-up!
"Every year more people live their lives with some kind of mental health issue hanging over them. I hope that talking about these issues in a blunt and open way offers those people some brief catharsis."
Building on 2021's "Dinosaur Therapy", this is a comparable volume that provides another consistent volume of truisms presented in a straightforward, humorous, yet profound fashion. I found something to which I relate on every page, and will be returning to this volume (and its predecessor) time and again.
Reflections and lessons learned: “Dino: Can't believe the girl i was talking to ghosted me Ghost: I find that term offensive and inaccurate. Sticking around longer than expected is a ghost's defining characteristic”
Hehe - life lessons through comedy comics. The names and backdrops may change, but the paranoia is rarely new…
30.03.23: Very necessary re-read after recommending it to a friend
Don't mind me here in the corner of the bookstore, just reading it while alternately chuckling and wiping away tears. Living is so hilarious and so sad sometimes.
Technically this one is a re-read I forgot to post. I read this one on the release date before handing it to my sister. I can’t remember my initial thoughts, but reading this one did my brain in a bit. The therapy was interesting, the friendship one was fun. This one not so much. It was based on philosophy.

4.5 ⭐ Wow Just like my other 5 star reviews, this book made me happy and I don't need more :) It was philosophical but not as much as I hoped it to be that's why I gave it 4.5 - Would even recommend this book to a child
I read this extreeeeemely slowly as I would photograph a new page each day and send it to my friend so we could both check we were still alive and semi-ok, and it was a very useful low effort communication tool. 😅 Very relatable comics with a lot of dark humour and some uplifting wholesomeness amongst the bleakness, and the simplistic art style is lovely. Looking forward to getting the Friendship one and continuing my tradition with said friend.
Dinosaur Philosophy is a short read and cute, sweet, and adorable. It’s absolutely a great book to read in one sitting. The art and dialogue are simple yet convey many powerful messages about mental health and everything in life in the sense of humour. It makes us think about our life, especially some relatable thoughts.
The author also shared that due to Covid-10 pandemic, this book was coming quickly as loneliness, depression, and anxiety are pretty synonymous with the pandemic, and hopes that talking about the issues in humor offers people some calmness.
The pocket size of this book and the bright dinosaur on the cover book definitely attracts reader like me, who also love to buy books because of the beautiful cover. This is a book that I will pick up again in the future.
what’s not to like about dinosaurs (and dogs) in painfully relatable situations? would recommend reading the slightly more lighthearted dinosaur therapy even more though, as this one was a bit too depressing at times
