Except for Moore’s illogical or ignorant view of the Covid vaccines as a success for the private sector (which is wrong in all counts: not a success (neither safe nor effective), funded and patented by USG (so not a private sector accomplishment), not taken generally by choice but by mandate (so not part of the free market), and pharmaceutical companies’ indemnity regarding injuries directly caused by these products (so people have no recourse, unlike the private sector)), this is a good overview of how overbearing and out of control our federal government has become. (It’s too bad he missed the boat on the Covid response as that was especially illustrative of the problem.)

For someone who hasn’t been aware of what’s been going on, this could be a helpful primer.

However, the book’s design and layout is cramped and a few of the charts and graphs are incomplete.

Great, short read on how to fix bad economic policies—especially those emanating from the Biden administration.

Very good statistics, good solutions at the end. Absolute surprise at the level of growth and recency of new departments and crisis that became permanent. I am more convinced we need DOGE. i.e. Purpose of Government is to NOT solve problems, if they solve anything they are out of a job. but instead to track spending money (as a substitute for actual solutions) increasing bureaucracy power. People go to Wash DC to do good, but end up just making wealth for themselves. 3 of 5 most wealthy counties surround Wash DC which city does not produce anything. Several great examples of how big a Trillion is = A thousand thousand millions, 3,200 years of Seconds. if William the Conqueror started invested a million dollars a day, he would still not have a One Trillion dollars, can we reduce workforce below 18 Million people? (Fed + State + Local) Need Libraries? Post offices? Amtrack, can state do it better or private sector?
Lots of facts lots of concern yet most Americans are innumerate or ambivalent to the pending financial mess

A Must Read

As a baby boomer and one who has lived through the massive expansion of the Federal government, Godzilla clearly presents the results of this expansion.. As a senior I have my doubts if the continuing of governmental expansion will be stopped. However, Stephen does provide steps that we should adhere to t save this Republic. As my title says, this is a must read for all concerned Americans.

If you care about liberty and freedom and are concerned about the expansion of government and out-of-control spending this is a must-read book. It’s an easy read and clearly presents the results of government expansion over the years. Our national debt is ballooning and yet still the spending continues to increase. The book does present reforms that could be taken to rein things in.

An eye-opening look at how the government spends and wastes our money. It's a must-read.
