I'm Erica R. Stinson, a suspenseful and fast-paced thriller author, known for the NYPD Detective Millicent Harvey series and the Doctor Oliver Perritt series. I am also very happy to announce my latest book, a domestic thriller titled "Smothered" has been released. I hope you get a chance to check it out soon!
My love for writing is only surpassed by my love for cooking, knitting, gardening, playing chess and video games, and spending time with my niece, Gianna.
My books, "The Doctor", "Mirror Mirror" and "Shelter" are also still available. And while I have taken down the Detective Millicent Harvey series for re-editing and re-branding, don't worry, she'll be back!

A great suspenseful plot which is not fully translated in the writing, inconclusive ending
A very smooth beginning. The reader will quickly be able to get into the rhythm of the book as Vera gives the appearance of a girl next door; relatable to everybody.
The first half of the book will raise enough questions for the reader, annoying them and making them feel ridiculous as Vera keeps giving one after another extreme reaction where it should make them feel anxious, curious, suspicious or any of the other similar emotions.
Not that I am against using profanities or cuss words in a book but the term ‘asshole’ has been used one too many times and a little too frequently making it sound like nails on a chalkboard.
While I kept questioning Vera’s unjustified behavior to almost all things in the first half of the book, my frowned brows were raised when the author threw a curveball my way and revealed the twist in the plot; pretty much the best part of the book, it will take you by surprise.
Even though the twist of the story answers a lot of questions, certain things like the daughters never complaining about the sexual assaults [SPOILER ALERT], especially the elder daughter who seemed to be a little too okay with the repetitive act doesn’t seem plausible.
What raked my nerves the most (and I am still not over it) was the ending which is not really an ending but a continuation to the next book or chapter of Vera’s life. Is the author planning a sequel? And last but not the least, I think a few more pages could have been spent on this book as it felt a little on the short side.

This was a great book with lots of twists and turns. It has so many surprises throughout the book. I loved the main character and can hardly believe how her mind worked. The author does a superb job of letting you feel her emotions. I was very impressed with her writing. She is very clever.
Wow. That was good!! Once Vera hooked up with her friends, didn't want to put out down. Awesome ending. Thought I had the ending figured out. NOT. Not even close. 😯
I started this book because I was curious what the story was about. The story itself really pulls you in and makes you a part of the story. Each chapter building the story of Vera and how she was basically an invisible woman until Lizzy came around. I honestly couldn’t help but feel sympathy for the main character and really wanted to throttle her boss. The only reason I didn’t give this incredible story 5 stars is the ending, I felt it was kinda cliche and disappointing.
