This story follows on from the end of #3, but ends with the last of the blooming brides......Violet. An enjoyable read with a French spy, a fire that burns down the inn, and a lovely HEA. 5☆
Violet Tavners has seen her three elder sisters marry for love, but after falling for a man who turned out to be the worst kind of fraud, Violet is determined to never be deceived again. She agrees to consider the idea of marrying a man of her father’s choosing, despite the fact the marriage would be convenient for everyone but her. Owen Ridlington chooses to be known for his exploits in the fight against Napoleon instead of for his title of Viscount of Primrose. He is alone, and he vows it is going to stay that way. Then danger, in the form of an escaped French spy, threatens The Wild Rose Inn and Owen must protect the Tavners family and the town of Southwold at all costs. This is the fourth & final book in the series & I think it’s my favourite. Violet is the youngest sister who often loses herself in a book. I’ve loved Violet throughout the series & felt so sorry for her in the previous book. Oliver is an agent for the crown & focused on his work until Violet worms her way into his affections. I loved how the pair grew to love each other. The road to their HEA wasn’t smooth as there was an escaped French spy intent on revenge & an arrogant relative to muddy the road. I read the book in a sitting as I just couldn’t put it down My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
The sister's all get their HEA at their parent's inn. I did enjoy this series and we have a surprising ending with the villain.
I loved Violet, the quiet loving sister. But, when she found her voice she finally told her father the truth in how the girls were treated and why they had to work so hard. Bravo Violet!!
There is lovemaking, outside of marriage but not described at all. They get undressed and that is about all that is discussed. I enjoyed how the H tried to distance himself from the h. He had good reasons, but didn't take long for him to come to his senses.
All the sister's return home with their spouses and that was heart warming, seeing them interact with each other again. I enjoyed the outcome the son in laws came up with for the parents. Brought a smile to my face that the father was held accountable.
We have no cheating, no cliffhanger, can be a stand alone story even though part of a series. Romance builds slowly and no spice. The story ends about the 91% mark.
I can't improve on the blurb, just recommending this sweet story. I received a copy from the author and voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions are my own. (ljb).
All I can say is Violet is my favorite sister.."As it happens, I do perfectly well at walking and reading at the same time. In fact, I can do nearly anything while I read a book." Oh yes, I totally relate! If you have followed this series, and even if you have not (you are missing such great stories!), Vi is the youngest and last of four sisters in a family who have owned and managed an Inn, which has been a resting place for soldiers to recover from the war. When her father announces he plans to sell, well kind of hand over the Inn to a friend's younger son, he readily states that it would work well for Violet to marry that son. You know, to keep it in the family! Meanwhile, Owen, has been staying at the Inn, mainly to help keep them safe and from harm since it seems there are spies lurking about. As Owen and Violet start to interact and get to know each other, there is a slow build to romance. Delightfully wonderful as all of this series has been, I highly recommend Violet and Owen's journey to happiness!!!
This last book in this series was Absolutely Wonderful. Violet & Owen's characters were lovely & well written. I was surprised when the Viscount's title was put out for a couple people, then realizing what matters most in one's life. A bit sad that this series is over, but I am looking forward to reading more books from Ellie St Claire.
This is the last book in this series, about four sisters and there family Inn. All of Violets sister have found their husbands at the Inn. All have married for love. Violet doesn't think she will ever love anyone, as she trusted one of the guest, Comtois and fell for him only to learn he was spy and fraud. He only wanted to hurt one of her sisters husband and then her family. Now she doesn't trust herself or her heart anymore. Her father tells all the them that he is selling the end to the son of one of his friends. Linus was terrible to all the girls when he would come to visit. Now her father wants her to marry him to keep the Inn in the family ! Owen Ridlington has been at the Inn for sometime protecting Westwood and helped with Comtois in the last book. Now he is still watching Westwood while he heals. I don't want to say too much as this book has lots of twist and turns, drama, mystery, a kidnapping and a fire. Violet and Owen will help each other find what they want most in life, but not without some sorrow and soul searching. Their romance is laced with disappoint but also with lots of love too. You can read all of the books as stand alone but much better read in order... for the history. I received an ARC from the author and am giving my honest opinion.
I enjoyed this book but a little sad because it is the last in the series. Violet Tavners is the youngest of the 4 sisters & the only one not married - she watched her sisters marry for love to a duke, then a marquess & then an earl but love has not found her. She had mistakenly been charmed by an deceitful, dangerous man & has vowed never to fall in love but then she met Owen.
Owen Ridlington aka Viscount Primrose works for his country during wartime & he is known for saving & helping many people when summoned by the Crown to fulfill a mission.. He is at The Wild Rose to protect a fellow spy whose identity has been compromised (one of the sister's husband). Owen finds himself noticing how lovely Violet is but keeps reminding himself that he must not let distractions take him away from his dangerous employment.
The romance & love between Owen & Violet comes about gently with some bumpy spots, danger, fires & it all was tied together with 4 wonderful sisters that cared for each other fiercely & the love they all found with their husbands.
I was gifted the Advanced Reader Copy of this book & all opinions are my own & have been voluntarily given.
"Violet had never been kissed and had certainly never imagined it would be possible to be kissed like this." I was so fortunate to be able to read this entire series! Four sisters, with floral-themed names, all finding love - with nobility, no less! For Violet, the last sister in the series, it nearly didn't happen. Well, she swore that it wouldn't happen, when she vowed to never give her heart again. Only fate, had other ideas. Owen Ridlington keeps his title under wraps. He is actually the Viscount Primrose and he has been watching the Wild Rose Inn, for some time. His mission was to keep the residents of the inn, safe. The beautiful Violet, did NOT escape his notice. Oh, I believe that Ellie St. Claire saved the best, and most exciting book of the series, for last! You will definitely enjoy this entire series, but each book may be read as a standalone. In "A Viscount For Violet," you can expect adventure, danger, intrigue, and maddening twists and turns. A slow-simmering romance that is laced with difficulties. A wonderful conclusion to a delightful series. I received this book as an ARC from the author, and I volunteered this review.
ONE ENTHRALLING ADVENTURE!!! Awesome! Ellie rocks this baby from the start. A tumultuous wild ride with a surplus of unexpected misfortune and surprising incidents that blasts all of your emotions into play perfectly. Hurdling the trials and tribulations, witnessing the struggles our characters are faced with as the lines blur and a bond grows into unexpected thrills and opportunity. One compelling storyline and gripping plot jolts this baby to life smoothly. All the drama, uncertainty, danger and suspense make for one incredible experience. Twists and turns, ups and downs, along with a few bumps and bruises bring this baby together fluidly. The characters and scenes are written in true to life form that brings this little guy bursting to life delightfully. Amazing job Ellie, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
Violet is the last unmarried daughter of the Wild Rose Inn, her sister had all found their love's amongst the patrons of the Inn. Her sister Iris's husband had an attempt on his life by a French spy. In comes a new guest Owen Ridlington who is a Viscount but does not want that fact known, his job is to protect Iris's husband and the rest of the residents of the Inn. Violet feels she is going to be a spinster vowing to never love again after she had been tricked by the spy, endangering her sister and her husband. Owen has noticed Violet but would not act on his feelings until it is revealed her father had arranged a marriage for her if that wasn't enough the French spy had escaped. Elle St.Clair never disappoints and has ended her Blooming Brides series on a high note.
A Viscount for Violet the Youngest Tavner sister is the last book in the series.
In bk 3 An Earl for Iris Violet was inamoured with Thomas Cooper who we find out later was an French Spy. He had come to capture August The Earl of Westwood. Who had been spying for England at the French Court.
Being the last of his daughters Violets father has sold The Wild Rose Inn to an old family friends son. Mr. Limus Anderson. Poor Violet is offered as part of the package deal. Her father is horrible. Violet refuses because she finds herself in love with Owen Ridlington, The Viscount of Primrose. Owen has been stationed at the Inn to protect it from the French. They soon learn that Thomas has escaped. He must be on his way back to The Wild Rose Inn to take his revenge.
The Sisters and Their Noblemen This has been such a delightful series, getting to know the Tavner sisters, each one named for a flower. Though each one is a stand alone novel, I highly recommend going back and reading the other sisters’ stories. This is Violet’s story, and as the last of the sisters to wed, all the others are back in this story as well. Each married noblemen, who had returned from the war and stayed for a time at the Wild Rose Inn which their family owned. As well as a sweet love story, there is suspense as the French spy, Comtois, we met in the last story has escaped and thought to be returning for revenge on those at the Inn.
I loved that Violet was reader and that she dreamed of going on adventures like the ones she discovered in books. I'm an avid reader too and love to lose myself in a good book. She made a mistake being taken in by a French spy in the last book, so she's afraid to open her heart to love again. But she can't help her attraction to Owen, who is also not who is also not who he says is. I thought Linus, who her father tried to betrothed her to was a spineless selfish mean spirited twit and he would crush her adventurous spirit if she gave in and married him. There was plenty of action, humor, and romance in this final installment in this series.
What a wonderful end to a splendid series of books, well done Ellie St.Clair. I think this was my favourite book by far of this series!! Violet was the most unassuming of the four sisters and was quite lovely in nature and looks. The hero, in more ways than one, Owen Ridlington, was also endearing and a perfect match for Violet. There was one obnoxious man in the story, Linus who should have received a punch on the nose but didn't, but did get his comeuppance I was pleased to see. All in all I would wholeheartedly recommend this book, as well as being a very pleasant read it went some way to tying up loose ends.
The final instalment of Blooming Brides not only finds a husband for the last unwed daughter of the landlord of The Wild Rose Inn, but also concludes the spy versus spy saga carried over from the previous story. Miss Violet Tavners is shy, biddable and loves reading. When her father proposes she marry a cousin, everyone thinks she’ll agree. Owen Ridlington, Lord Primrose is ordered to remain at the Inn trying to keep everyone safe. Has the Comtois returned? Excellent suspense! Enjoyable conclusion!
The final book in the Blooming bride's series about the youngest sister Violet after falling for the wrong man who turns out to be a French spy Violet fears she will never marry for love. She considers a marriage to save her gambling father's inn but falls for Owen who is really a Viscount. A fire is deliberately started at the inn by the spy Comtois , Owen saves Violet and the pair realise they love each other. I love all Ellie's books and I loved this one about Violet, I just wish it could have been longer. I received an ARC for a honest review.
Violet is the shy quiet and youngest sister! Because of a previous mistake she was afraid to trust her instincts! Owen was there to protect the inn and the people there and in town! Violet is attracted to him and hesitate but interested in how things could go! Her greedy father throws a monkey wrench in the budding feelings between her and Owen! When Violet has a choice to make who will she choose? Someone has diabolical plans to end the inn and the family will they succeed? A wonderful end to the series read on....
This is the 4th and final book in the series Blooming Brides by Ellie St. Clair, but you can read this book by itself. This book is about Violet, the youngest daughter of an Inn owner and Owen who was sent to the Inn to protect the Inn and the people in it from harm. Owen and Violet become close and fall in love but there is Owens past and an enemy which can keep them apart. This is another enjoyable read by Ellie St. Clair I know you will enjoy
Delightfully, exciting storyline with lots of emotions coming to the fore. All the sisters are reunited in this lovely story. Violet is horrified to find out their father’s plan for her but can see no way to get out of it. Owen has too much to protect from an old enemy to even think about finally settling down. When tragedy strikes, will these two wonderful characters be together or will fate separate them forever? I loved this story and I have enjoyed this series very much.
This series is simply superb. The last flower in the Wild Rose Inn has found her true love. After the heartbreak Violet has suffered she no longer trusts her heart. When Owen captures her attention she sees her chance at a new life. When danger comes back to the inn and puts Violet in harms way, Owen is unable to deny his feelings. After banishing the threat they start on their way to a new life. A wonderful and happy story.
Violet loves her romance stories but choosing the right man or so she thought did not work out well, he was a spy and had her bamboozled. When mysterious officer Owen vows to protect her family and home she can't help admire him. Owen is not in the position to take a wife yet since the Napoleonic war is still going on, but he may lose Violet if her father forces her to marry someone else. Loved this series of sisters. I received a complimentary copy and I am voluntarily reviewing.
A very entertaining book. Loved the characters and most of the story line. I loved Violet and her fun sisters and their spouses. Her Viscount invokes lots of chemistry and intriguing interactions. Lots of action, mystery, and romance! I disagree with premarital relations, even when just insinuated, that's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. That is the content not suitable for all readers. Otherwise I totally loved it. Happy Reading!

Owen- works for the crown - intelligence violet- youngest sister , loves to read and doubts herself after the mistake with a French spy. I enjoyed reading this intriguing story that is fantastically written with charismatic characters and witty dialogue. Violet voice came through when needed she stood up for herself when needed. Loved this heroine!! Their story has a magnificent HEA!! I enjoyed how the epilogue tied the 4 stories together.
I would like to thank the author for a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
The final book in The Blooming Brides series, but can be read as a standalone.
Quiet bookish Violet is the last of her sister's that haven't married. When the inn comes under danger from a man she thought she was in love with, Violet must work with Owen to save everybody.
I found this a really good book. Violet is a great character. She is the youngest sister and truly the romantic of them all spending all of her free time reading books and going on adventures in her head. Owen is the spy who turns her broken heart whole again. They have to fight to save the Wild Rose inn. This is a great series and I have enjoyed reading these books.
This is the story of Violet and Owen... Violet lives and works in an inn with her parents... and she is determined to not fall in love again... Owen is an English spy and spent some time to recover... A wonderful plot full of surprises, twist, French spy... and fire... A story that will kept reading until the end... A romance for all that love Regency and mystery...
Ellie St. Clair has concluded The Blooming Brides series with a sweet love story. As Violet was ready to give up on a marriage full of love she discovers a love for Owen. He loves her but thinking to keep her safe is willing to let her go. All of the characters we have come to know have a place in this tale. I hope you all love it!
Violet is the bookish sister, whom her father wants to marry off to a second son to pay off his debt and keep the Inn with the family. She’s considering it.
Owen is a viscount who prefers his time spent in the military or working the land. Is the reluctant viscount a better match for Violet?
