Just when you think things can’t get any more complicated…Our army is in position to kick off the final battle with the elves, whoop-de-do. But there’s still the problem of Yamada and the rest of D’s former classmates’ inevitable clash with Vampy, Mr. Oni, and in the worst-case-scenario, the Demon Lord herself. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but can’t we all just get along? At least long enough for me to wipe that stupid smirk off Potimas’s face and put him in the ground once and for all?! Assuming the Demon Lord doesn’t steal the kill, that is. I swear, if there’s one person who hates him more than I do, it’s her. What’s their history anyway…?
Kumoko still is fun but the others’ perspectives drags
It’s always fun to read from Kumoko’s perspective. There’s just so much energy in it. Everyone else comes of as a bit flat though. Black especially in this volume and Wrath in prior volumes. The first demon lord is far too long winded as well.
Glad we’re caught up now but writing and pacing have taken a hit these past two volumes
We’re finally back to the main story after so many volumes and we get a ton of exposition for the world in between. My interest has definitely returned as we reach the conclusion and wait for these English translations.
I haven’t been rating these because I’ve been blasting through them so fast (okay, wait, ignore my 2ish year absence where I didn’t read any of them. Ignore it). BUT THIS ONE WAS SO GOOD. I really almost cried a few times. We, the readers, get to go back to the past and see their world before the apocalypse and meet Sariel. We also finally see the conclusion of the battle at the end of season one of the show. There was so much packed into this volume

Wow, this was truly a brilliant volume in the series. The culmination of so much. At long last, we get to see the battle of the elf village. And in addition to this exciting battle and surrounding reunions and happenings, we also get to see deep into the past and learn more about our favorite Demon Lord and Administrator. Overall, a brilliant volume.
