Once he lived a life as an amazing king but then he was killed and reincarnated as a baby called Arthur! Art for short, he’s in a new body, new world but can remember all of his previous life. He begins to study to learn all he can about this world and its magic, he clicks on really quick how to wild this world’s magic due to it being similar to the magic from his old world.
The little baby crawling off from his crib to read books in the study! Too funny! Such a fun read, looking forward to seeing where this goes!

The quality of this adaptation is terrible to say the least. It looks like the literally copied, pasted and printed. Many times you can see pixels all over the panels and the resolution is very low. Some parts of it are not even properly squared or centred. Good thing I borrowed it, because if I had bought I would have returned it immediately. At least make sure that when you are taking something to print is the right quality because this is just tacky.
The story on itself is fine. It does not look like it is going to be the most original ever or the characters are going to be specially bright by themselves. Not great, nor terrible, but I just cannot go over how poor the quality is. Except for the paper, the parer is quite nice. The problem is what you print on it I guess.
I would usually rate it with two starts, but again, with the pixels all over the paper that was "not ok", hence why just the one.
So I started this series online as I don’t have patience to wait for the weekly episode update of the anime now that it’s streaming for the spring season.
It reminds me of the Japanese isekai anime/light novel series Mushoko Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation where the reincarnation happens at birth and they basically are born with the consciousness of the past life not just memories of the past or getting the memories in life like at puberty or when they turn into an adult. Not like transmigration “reincarnation” isekais where they take over the body of someone that’s died and they may or may not have the memories of the previous person.
One of the main differences, for the better in my opinion, is that the MC isn’t a pervert. In Mushoko Tensei he was a 30 something incel basically so notices his mom’s breasts when he’s a baby and obsesses later for an entire arc over not being able to get it up after losing his virginity at around 14 and then being left like a one night stand.
I really appreciate that the MC, Arthur, in this series is NOT obsessed with sex or a pervert. Rather then reincarnating from modern day korea he was a King in another world and while seems to have been a cold tyrant as he rose to power he’s quite rational and calm in his new life, and him learning what it means to have family ties and to care about people we see a lot of emotional growth.
We get funny comedic breaks as he struggles with adjusting to a baby body and his lack of control over it. Like being embarrassed that he soils his diaper. Over all I really enjoy this arc as he learns the magic structure of this world and apply his knowledge and skills from his past life to adapt to this world.
This isn't a particularly original story, but it hits all the fun major tropes and uses them well. I love a good reborn adult in a child's body who is misinterpreted as a genius. The hero, Arthur/Grey is likeable and has good motivations; there's clearly something going on in the background from his past life - we don't know what it is yet, but I'm excited to find out. You only know that he was a King, and I have a good feeling that nugget will be appropriately important and meaningful to the plot.
The secondary characters are interesting and diverse, without being caricatures. I'm properly emotionally invested in Arthur's friends and family.
The magic system in the world is interesting, and Arthur is appropriately overpowered. If ridiculously OP heroes aren't your thing, then you definitely won't enjoy this: Arthur is not only a magical prodigy, he's also a talented fighter, ostensibly because of knowledge from his prior life.
The art is really good, but it's worth noting that this print volume is of pretty shoddy quality - they haven't used high enough resolution images so they're all pixelated. I'm pretty displeased about that given I could have read most of this volume for free in the Tapas app.
Overall, a good start to the story. Time will tell if it lives up to its promise, but I'll definitely be continuing the series.
Grey was a king---until he wakes up as an infant, without knowing how he died. Being a child comes with a host of issues, but he's determined to figure out this new world and navigate his new life.
This is a fun story overall, although this volume is slowly easing into things, as Art is a young child the whole way through. Thankfully, the story doesn't bother focusing on some of the more questionable parts (no breastfeeding scenes, yay!) and instead dives right into Art trying to come to terms with his place in this new world.
Of course, his attempts to get ahead of the game in magic are . . . spectacularly successful.
The art is also another major highlight. The characters (especially Art's parents) are very well drawn. They have a lot of expressiveness, and I like the visual component to a lot of the humor.
The only real downside here is that these books are noticeably shorter than other manwha, clocking in about a hundred pages shorter than other volumes I have for different series. This leaves the plot feeling trimmed, as the action is just starting up when the volume ends.
Overall, though, this is still a solid beginning to one of the better isekai I've read. Recommended.
Overview: 4🌟 overall, could be 5 🌟 without the many latter issues. An intensely enjoyable read, great premise, greater execution. Started out INCREDIBLY strong, but due to studio issues, the pacing, art and enjoyability have massively suffered after chapter 175.
TBATE is iconic and that's for a reason, its premise, story and art we're all EXCEPTIONAL and makes for a unique but thoroughly enjoyable read.
The characters, dilemmas, power dynamics and world are all portrayed in a phenomenal way, this story was a straight 5 🌟 until chapter 175.... I couldn't put it down. It takes you on a journey WITH the main character and you experience everything with him in an evergrowing and expanding world with more and more depth as the story increases.
HOWEVER, due to problems within the studio, after chapter 175, the original artist stopped drawing and they had to find a new artist. After this, the studio took a massive decline in quality, pacing and seemed to have consistent issues. While the new artist is also good, the old feel and execution haven't returned, i can only hope it does.
It was the kind of book I was looking to read these days. Easy fantasy, Enjoyable and cute characters. I read some reviews complaining that Arthur should have returned to his old life as King Grey if he had everything there, why suffer here. But thats the exact reason why Arthur left his old life. He had everything there, He took revenge by destroying a whole city, Immense power as a King, Unlimited wealth. He didn’t had anything else to achieve, he had everything he wanted except the those he cared about. He did avenge them but that didn’t bring them back. So he decided that in this life he will do what he couldn’t do in his old life + Arthur’s family is so cute. I want to read Sylvia’s development so bad, imagine if she becomes a huge dragon too, would be sick to have a dragon as a pet.
Not your average Isekai story. Our newly reborn MC Arthur was once an experienced and battle-hardened King from the future. Now he is a boy growing up in a world where magic trumps technological advancements. While well aware of his past life, Arthur uses his knowledge to grow in strength and ability in this new world. His parents, recognizing his abilities, decide to travel with him to Xyrus where he can be trained by experts in the magical field. This is where Arthur’s glimpse at both the beauty and the brutality of the world begin.
While a bit slow paced at first, the story used that pacing to appropriately focus on character development, relationships and world building.

Mediocre so far. It was also difficult to distinguish between the men after they started their journey. The red hair was the only thing that stood out. I wasn’t impressed with how they made him such a savant at fighting. It’s not enough to know how to do something, you still have to train your body to be able to do it. There are limits to what a kid can do against a grown man. The fight scenes weren’t
Ended on a lame cliffhanger, with a guy who had gross lips being an asshole. Dunno that I’ll continue.

The art is good and gets only better even becoming gorgeous. The story is not my cup of tea, especially that instant reborn thing with all memories intact. And is Arthur an insufferable ass. One second he complains that he is treated as a kid. A second later he complains he is not treated as a kid - when he is literally 3. Never once shows he gratitude or any positive attitude towards his very caring parents. Literally every other character is better than him. I adore the bodyguard cast. Their designs are so good!
I will just mention it here, because writing a review for each volume is a drag. As progression fantasy goes, this is pretty decent. I liked the pacing, the main character is strong, and getting a generous power-up. The story takes time. However, it is fast enough to keep the reader interested. I am pretty sure I will like it more as the events unfold. Relations here are also very endearing, enjoying them so far.
I know what to expect from these kinds of stories, and I am not disappointed. If you want to read, go ahead.

I liked the idea of someone being reincarnated but they remember everything from their former life. I thought the story was really sweet, he seemed to like his parents even though he knows he is more than their son. This was obviously the set up for the longer series, so it will be nice to see where it goes.
Such a great comic told through a different perspective. The story was filled with light-hearted humor, adventure and sparked my curiosity as so often we all wonder what will happen after we pass on. In this comic you get to experience one of the possibilities. Really looking forward to reading the next volume and watching how young Art's magic develops.
I mean not much happened yet.. So 5 stars cuz I’m nice :D I’m not yet sure where the story’s going but I had fun reading it.. The girls in this manhwa are so pretty~ I’m guessing I’ll have more to say after reading the 2nd volume. These are quite thin for how much they cost O.o
2.5 stars - I didn't realize this was the beginning of a webtoon and I have issues with how most of those stories are paced and plotted. This was full of kind of juvenile humor and it just didn't vibe with my sensibilities, so I don't think I'll be continuing.
After finding the anime version of this series, all my kids were excited when we saw that there was a comic series as well! A rebirth story of epic proportions begins. We can't wait to follow Art and see how he changes his new world for good.
