About the author

Divya Prakash Dubey is India’s first of now many ‘Hinglish’ writers, An Engineer and a MBA by education, a former-AGM, Marketing in a telecom company and now a content editor in leading TV Channel, the combination has been unseen in the world of writing on many levels. But that is what he is, a break from the existing moulds of factory made pieces coming in the market.

Humorous down to his very core, and equally deep in his thoughts. His unique view on life and relations makes him an expert storyteller of the popular genre, and these views have been formed by closely observing life from small towns to big Corporate organisations of the country.

Aako Baako is a collection of short stories with a few interesting ones that stand out. While there are moments of charm and relatability, most stories are average and don’t leave a lasting impact. Overall, it's a mediocre read. If you haven’t read it, you’re not missing much—I wouldn’t recommend it strongly.

A wonderful collection of short stories each with a different theme and style. For sure, each story would connect with one or the other other reader. The writing style is simple and modern. A few chapters ended in a way which keeps you thinking even after the end of the chapter. The story about son and dad, where "a son becomes the father of the dad at some point of life" struck a chord. An easy listen in audible format. Recommend to listen to it during your travel time or vacations. The powerful stories will make you reflect upon your life's aspects.

Divya Prakash Dubey's Aako Baako is a pleasant revelation for me. A revelation that a new age modern writer can also write meaningful stuff. Taking snippets out of day-to-day life of the modern men and women, Divya Prakash makes the readers look at their own lives from an outside-in perspective. Short sentences. Mundane occurrences. Meaningful realizations.
A good fiction writer entertains. A great fiction writer helps the reader to reflect upon. Would love to read more from the author.

Aako Bako by Divya Prakash Dubey is a collection of 16 short stories. These stories are mostly about the lives of ordinary people in various scenarios.

The characters range from a mom dreaming of TV fame to a taxi driver who is a part-time supporting actor. From the work of a postman to the lifestyle of a company executive, each story offers a fresh perspective on life’s complexities.

Even though the stories are deep, the unique storytelling and laid-back writing style make them cosy. While the stories are bitter-sweet, he blends in humour with his keen observation to make you smile at moments.

The dedication page itself sets the tone for the book:

“दीप्ति, लो लिख दिया पहले पन्ने पर तुम्हारा नाम। अब खुश?” (Deepti, wrote your name on the first page. Happy?)

The stories have relatable and engaging narratives that might resonate with both young adults and working professionals. His use of Hinglish also adds a contemporary touch.

हिंदी किताब का रिव्यू हिंदी में करने का प्रयास ।

सुपर मॉम उस हर महिला की कहानी हैं जिसने घर परिवार के लिए अपने सपनो को एक कोने में दबा के रखा हैं पर जब उस कोने में कहीं से आशा की धूप जा पहुंचती है तो एक पौधा पनपता है जो बड़ा हो के किसी को छाया तो किसी को सुगंध देता है।

खिलौना बहुत अंदर तक चोट करती हैं फिर संभाल लेती हैं ।

संजीव कुमार , आपको फिर से गुदगाते हुए, रुलाते हुए , डरते हुए उस नवरस के अभिनेता से मिलाती हैं जो ये कहता हैं जिंदगी एक नाटक हैं और नाटक एक जिंदगी।

पहला पन्ना थोड़ा Lyrical  है कुछ musical टाइप का। आप के अंदर जब बहुत दर्द होता हैं तो जुबान से , कलम से काफी कुछ निकलता है, जब दर्द खत्म हो जाता हैं तो सब खाली हो जाता है।

Daddy I love you आला स्तर की कहानी है। ये प्रेरित करती हैं आपको आगे बढ़ कर उनकी मदद करने की जो आपके भूतकाल की परिस्थितियों में अटके पड़े हैं। जब आप रिश्तों को स्वीकार कर लेते है तभी आप जिंदगी को स्वीकार करते हैं।

कविता कहा से आती है, मुझे नहीं पता क्योंकि हमीद की तरह मैं भी सालो से एक अदद उपन्यास लिखने की  सोच रहा हूं पर कृपा आ ही नहीं रही है।😔

भूतनी एक जिंदा व्यक्ति के भूत बनने की कहानी है। आप कब जरूरतमंद बन जाते हो और कब दूसरो पे निर्भर आपको पता ही नही चलता। अपनी व्यवस्था बनाए रखे।

Sugar Daddy आपके अंदर दबे हुए इंसान की फितरत की दांस्ता है।सच ही हैं जिंदगी छोटे मोटे फूटकर भर सुकून की तलाश ही तो है।

प्रमिला आज के दौर की कहानी है। पर साथ साथ अनंत समय से चले आ रहे प्यार, शांति को सब जगह ढूढने की फिर खुद के भीतर पा लेने की भी ।

विंडो सीट एक दौर को जीने और उसे भूलने  और फिर से जी लेने की कहानी है। अगरआप को मौका मिले तो भूतकाल में क्या बदलिएगा अपनी जिंदगी से?

सुपरस्टार मायानगरी मुंबई की बात हो और फिल्मों का जिक्र ही न हो तो अधूरा लगता है। इस शहर में लाखो लोग सपने लेके आते है , कम ही लोगो के पूरे होते हैं पर लोग यहां जीना नहीं छोड़ते। उन सभी लोगो के सपनो को सलाम।

खुश रहो ये कहानी मेरी सबसे पसंदीदा कहानियों में से हैं, हम मध्यमवर्गीय लोग अपने पिता को तब पहचानते हैं जब या तो हमे छोड़ कर चले जाते हैं या तब जब हम अपने बच्चो के सामने उसी स्थिती में खड़े होते हैं ।

द्रौपदी।  ये कहानी आपको आगे ले जायेगी। ये उस विचारधारा को स्थापित करती हैं जहा कोई अबला नहीं है और ऐसी कहानियां सच हो तो ही समाज बदलेगा ।

दिव्यप्रकाश जी की नई किताब का हमेशा ही इंतज़ार रहता है। वो उम्दा लिखते हैं और बेस्टसेलर लेखक हैं। जो बेंचमार्क दिव्यप्रकाश जी ने अपने पाठकों के लिए सेट कर दिया है उससे कुछ भी नीचे पढ़ना अच्छा कैसे लग सकता है। "ऐसा कई बार होता है ना कि लेखक हमारे बारे में वो बातें लिख देता है, जो हम कहीं भीतर बहुत गहरे दबाए बैठे थे। कुछ लेखक यह काम इतनी आसानी से कर देते हैं कि लगता है लेखक हमारा पड़ोसी या कोई बिछड़ा हुआ दोस्त है।"

इन कहानियों में हम कही न कही खुद को खोजते हैं और हर एक पाठक खुद को किसी एक कहानी से कनेक्ट कर ही लेगा । दुबे जी की लेखनी का कायल हूं मैं मेरे प्रिय लेखक हैं शायद इसीलिए मैं इस बुक की इतनी तारीफ कर रहा हूं। बाकी अगर आपने कभी उनको नही पढ़ा तो एक मौका जरूर दीजिए।

“आको बाको” नाम सुनते ही कुछ पुरानी सी धुन बजने लगती है भीतर… जैसे दादी/नानी नजर उतारने के लिए गुनगुना रही जो। दिव्य प्रकाश दुबे की ये किताब भी कुछ वैसी ही है कहानियाँ जो दवाइयों जैसी नहीं, दुआओं जैसी लगती हैं।

इस किताब में कुल 16 कहानियाँ हैं। हर कहानी में थोड़ी-सी ज़िंदगी है,वो जो ऑफिस से लौटते वक़्त सड़क किनारे दिखती है। ��ोड़ा-सा प्यार है , जो कभी कहा नहीं गया, लेकिन रहा हमेशा। थोड़ा संघर्ष है, जो दिखता नहीं, लेकिन थकाता बहुत है। रिश्तों की वो उलझनें भी हैं जिन्हें सुलझाना ज़रूरी नहीं, बस समझ लेना काफी होता है। और कुछ समाज की अनकही, अनसुनी बातें भी हैं जिन्हें दिव्य अपनी खास भाषा में बहुत धीरे से कह जाते हैं।

भाषा वही है जो दिव्य की सबसे बड़ी ताकत है न कोई दिखावा, न कोई भारीपन। जैसे कोई अपना कह रहा हो *“बैठो, कुछ सुनाओ… मैं भी कुछ सुनाता हूँ।”*

लेकिन अगर ईमानदारी से कहूँ, तो कुछ कहानियाँ ऐसी भी लगीं जो पहले ही पन्ने में खुल जाती हैं जैसे किसी फिल्म का ट्रेलर ही पूरी कहानी बता दे। शायद इसका एक कारण ये भी है कि मैंने हाल ही में इब्नेबतूती पढ़ी है वो किताब नहीं, एक गहराई थी जिसमें उतरते हुए आप खुद से मिलते हैं। उसके बाद “आको बाको” थोड़ी सपाट सी लगी।

फिर भी, यह किताब एक बार पढ़ी जा सकती है ,किसी गर्म दोपहर में, जब वक्त थोड़ा धीमा हो, पंखा पुरानी आवाज़ में चल रहा हो, और आम की मिठास ज़बान पर अटकी हो। क्योंकि ये कहानियाँ हड़बड़ी में नहीं, ठहर कर पढ़े जाने के लिए लिखी गई हैं।

“आको बाको” तूफ़ान जैसी किताब नहीं है, ये किसी पुराने आंगन की तरह है जहाँ आप लौटते तो नहीं, पर हर बार याद ज़रूर करते हैं।”

और कभी-कभी, बस इतनी सी वजह ही काफी होती है, किसी किताब को पढ़ने के लिए।

आको-बाको में 16 कहानियाँ हैं और हर कहानी का किरदार हम में से ही कोई एक है इसकी हर एक कहानी में आपको अपने आसपास के लोग जरूर मिल जायेंगे।
हर कहानी अपने आप में खास है, कुछ कहानियाँ तो इतनी सुंदर हैं कि आप दो तीन बार तुरंत ही पढ़ लेंगे फिर भी आपको लगेगा कि एक बार और पढ़ लेना चाहिए ।
सभी कहानियाँ बहुत सुंदर हैं और अपनी पसंदीदा कहानी चुनना मेरे लिए बहुत मुश्किल भी पर यह पाँच कहानियाँ दिल के बहुत करीब हैं-
सुपर माॅम,पेन फ्रेंड,संजीव कुमार,विंडो सीट,द्रौपदी
किताब में बहुत खूबसूरत पंक्तियाँ हैं अगर आप हाइलाइट करने का सोचेंगे तो हर पन्ना रंग जाएगा
🌻अगर पता हो कि दुनिया दो दिन में खत्म हो जाएगी
तब शायद लोग दो दिन जी पाएँ,वरना पूरी जिंदगी उन दो दिनों के इंतजार में बीत जाती है ।
🌻सब कुछ एक दिन ठीक हो जाएगा। इस उम्मीद पर एक नहीं, न जाने कितनी दुनिया चल रही होंगी ।
🌻यादें खो जाएँ तो जिंदगी आसान हो जाती है
हम अपनी यादों से परेशान लोग हैं,
दुनिया तो बहुत बाद में परेशान करती है ।
🌻बड़े लोगों से भगवान खो जाता है
जैसे बच्चों से खिलौना खो जाता है ।
🌻याद समंदर की लहर के जैसे आई और पुराने दिनों की उम्मीद बहाकर ले गई याद रात के तारे की तरह आई,
नींद उड़ाकर चली गई याद हर तरीके से आई,

नाम सुन के अज़ीब लग रहा हो शायद,
हर कहानी के पीछे एक कहानी होती है कुछ किरदार होते हैं जब तक किरदार को नहीं जानते कहानी दिलचस्प नहीं होती हैं ,
शायद मैंने बचपन में आको बाको को कई बार जिया है लेकिन असल में मुझे भी इसका मतलब तब पता चला जब दिव्य प्रकाश दुबे बताते हैं ,

"आको बाको शब्द से शुरू होने वाली एक छोटी सी प्रार्थना मेरी नानी तब गाती थी जब घर में किसी बच्चे की नजर उतारनी होती थी, नाम थोड़ा अजीब है उन सभी लोगों की तरह जिनकी कहानियां यहां है शायद हम उनकी कहानी जान जाए तो यह लोग इतने भी अजीब ना रहे।"❤❤❤💫

इस कुछ लाइन को पढ़ने के बाद जैसे मैं अपने बचपन में चली गई, हर एक वो दिन में जब मेरी दादी नानी आको बाको वाली प्रार्थना बच्चो की नज़र उतारने के लिए करती थी। उसके बाद इस किताब को पढ़ने की दिलचस्पी और ज्यादा बढ़ गई थी यह जो मेरे लिए बहुत अजीब था वह मेरे अज़ीज़ हो चुका था।💞👉👈

इस किताब में 16 कहानियां है , यहाँ जो कहानी हैं वो कोई कहानी नहीं, लेखक कहते है , असल में ये कहानियाँ ऐसे ही अकेले कमरे में बैठकर शाम को उदास होने के दौरान देखे गए नोट्स हैं।📖🖊🕯

मुझसे पूछिए, तो बेहद खुबसूरत अनुभव रही इसे पढ कर। आप लोग भी एक बार अवश्य पढे। धन्यवाद।💯💫😍❤❤

छोटी कहानियाँ का संग्रह। कुछ कहानियाँ बहुत अच्छी हैं कुछ कुछ ऐसा जो शायद आपने कहा ना कहीं सुन राखी होगी या देखी होगी।
Dad I love you- मुझे सबसे अच्छी कहानी लगी। खाली समय या छोटे सफर में आप इस किताब को साथ रख इसकी कहानियों का आनंद ले सकते हैं।

This was my fourth book from - Divya Prakash dubey and after reading October Junction, Yaar Papa, Musafir Cafe.
I had more expectations thats why I rated it a little lower than other of his books but still it is a good read for a day or when u dont have enough time to lead long and heavyyy books.

This book contains about 16 Short Stories. If you compared it with previous books of DPD, I don't liked it as much. Some stories are good like Gumshuda (I really searched on Wikipedia, after reading it), Window Seat, Kavita Kahan se aati hain. Rest majority are not that good or I don't liked them.

I have read all his books. Hope his next book will be far better than this and will be available soon.

दिव्यप्रकाश जी की नई किताब का हमेशा ही इंतज़ार रहता है। वो उम्दा लिखते हैं और बेस्टसेलर लेखक हैं। पर इस किताब की कहनियों से मैं जुड़ाव महसूस नहीं कर पाई। किताब में उस तरह का फ़्लो नहीं है जो अमूमन इनकी किताबों में होता है। किताब औसत है। जो बेंचमार्क दिव्यप्रकाश जी ने अपने पाठकों के लिए सेट कर दिया है उससे कुछ भी नीचे पढ़ना अच्छा कैसे लग सकता है।

One of his weakest books. The themes are repetitive, and quickly what's coming could be guessed. The context of "smell/mehak" is repeated across many stories; similarly, the answer to the question of who your inspiration is repeated. The fraud settings are nearly the same in a couple of stories.
