The Devil In Cologne

Rate this book
USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR AND AMAZON ALL-STAR AWARD WINNER

A nefarious underground network…

…in one of Germany’s most beautiful cities.

A den of heathens protected by the world’s worst people.

There is a plague of crime so dark and despicable it hides in plain sight. Corruption of this sort infects the highest echelons of government and business, forming a criminal stronghold deep in the heart of Cologne. These people want Atlas Hargrove dead, specifically Devil—a man, a monster, a psychopath of sickness and depravity so foul, he should only exist in Hell.

When the 14-year-old son of a powerful member of Germany’s Bundesrat goes missing, a call is made, a deal is struck, and Leopold summons the team to Cologne where they will hunt for the missing child. But if he hopes to get Atlas out of prison, Leopold must first face a hostile warden, and then a larger, more dangerous the FBI.

They have reason to believe that Atlas was recently in Prague...

Packed with heart-pounding suspense, dirty-gritty action, and unforgettable characters that will leave you wanting more, this adrenaline-fueled vigilante justice thriller will put you on the edge of your seat, breathless and wide-eyed, and reading deep into the night, unable to stop until the very last page!

This series contains the kind of violence one would expect from a rated-R movie and is perfect for fans of Lee Child, Gregg Hurwitz, LT Ryan, Blake Banner, and Jason Kasper.

Talk about not being able to put a book down!

This book was the most thrilling of the series that I've read so far! From start to finish, there was a continuous sense of urgency that kept me reading more. With such an intensely dark theme running through this series, it's hard to not be totally disgusted with many of the characters. However, the author has enough humor and sexual intrigue to break the darkness up. The success of Leopold's team leaves the reader with a sense that the team's acts of violence and their challenges are worth it in the end. Speaking of the end, I sure wasn't expecting it!

Ongoing adventures

....and there was purpose in torture, death and dismemberment. This ,A sentence from the book, describes all of the series I've read so far. It is by far the most greusome, gory, sometimes bordering on unacceptable descriptions of surreal methods of killing and torture, as well as sex with children. Yet the writers have written characters that are so lifelike that I've actually developed a sense of caring about what happens to them so that I continue to read each book. In all of my reading of psychological horror this only the second author that had been so addicting for me.

The Devil In Every Deed

The Hargrove storyline gets stronger with every book, every adventure. High praise for author Schow who manages to find the cleverest of twists … he creates a rollercoaster of emotions from highest highs to lowest lows, for his characters and for his readers. Never get too comfortable with any situation because exactly what you don’t expect is coming at you from around the next corner. What a ride!

This series is dynamite

Mr Schow has made yet another series with characters you fall in love with. Even with all the blood, Gore, and explosions you become a part of this team's family. This book was so great and heartwrenching. Gotta get into the next one and I'm hoping it's not the end

I have no words

Each of these books is better than the one before. And they are all intense, brutal, fantastic reads. Ryan is by far my most favorite author. I can’t wait for the next one.

Another excellent book!!!!

Ryan definitely knocked this one out of the park. Damn, cold chills got me with this one. All action from page 1. Atlas and company do their thing in Germany, continuing what was done in Prague. Don't miss this one!

The devil in cologne

Lots of action and continually changing movement of the characters and the story. Almost too much effort went into making the story shocking and totally evil but that was the point of the writing.

Another “can’t put it down” book! The plot is dark and the topic will turn your stomach. But you want the “good guys” to win. You will love this book! Another in the Atlas Hargrove series that gets a 5 ⭐️ rating!!!

Oh my!

Spellbound! R. B. Show has outdone himself! The most suspenseful author in the category with Stephen King and Dean Koontz! When I get my breath back and my heart stops racing, I will start the next book in the series!

Another winner

Unexpected twists and turns in this one. End was somewhat ragged. Did leave a lot of areas hanging. You probably will set some of them right in the next book. At least I hope so.

This series is one of the best. I enjoy finding out what is next for Atlas. As sad as it is for him you have to wonder why, just why, you'd have to read the series to get that answer.
The characters are done well, you can almost picture them all! So glad I started this series.
Thank you R. B. Schow

Is Time Running Out?

Another mission comes up for the team, a young man goes missing in Germany. But is not even certain the entire team can be put together because somehow the federal government is getting involved. This is going to be difficult.

Twists and turns abound.

Schow keeps raising the bar on drama, depravity and violence. How can the team succeed at their vigilante endeavors and still survive?

R. B. Schow has built a family of the protagonists. Makes the book so enjoyable because there is love and compassion between the protagonists.
