Anna Gaskell made her international debut in 1997 with a series of twenty color photographs loosely based on Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. Casting twin girls in the "Alice" character, Gaskell staged each photograph according to her interpation of the fantasy world of wonderland and the travails young girls encounter establishing their identity. This catalogue has been published for the exhibition Anna Gaskell, organized by the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami and curated by Bonnie Clearwater October 18 to December 6, 1998.
