MLK Day Bae me, please!
I really enjoy the Hot Holiday Hookup series. They’re always fun and steamy at the same time. This installment lived up to that. I loved the way Kiana bounced back and went after what she wanted. Miles was so masculine and sexy. Their chemistry was perfect. I need an update on them a year from now!

I am pretty much hooked on this series, and The Dream may very well be my favorite one yet!
It had me smiling the whole time, and Miles and Kiana gave me all the feels! Sweet, steamy, and so much fun. Definitely recommend!

Well, what do we have here??? I definitely did not have MLK holiday themed book on my radar, yet here we are. Allen has found quite a niche by using a main character from one of her novels for these holiday hookup novellas. All are short, spicy, and a ton of fun. The Dream is no exception and one that I would actually like to know what further develops between Miles and Kiana!

I don’t know what it was but I didn’t like this one at all. The story starts off with Kiana being stood up by her boyfriend, Chris who says he couldn’t go to “The Dream” party because he had to work. Turns out, when Kiana checked social media she saw that Chris was not at work but at a strip club getting danced on. So she decides she’s going to go to the party anyway in hopes of finding a date there. Once she gets to the party she runs to this very handsome man named Miles.
This story just didn’t do it for me. I know it’s a novella/short story but I didn’t care about these characters at all and there was no character development like the other hookup short stories. Nothing about Kiana and Miles interaction scream happiness, or gave me butterflies, or made me excited for the one sex scene. It just fell flat to me.

For a quick read this gives you all the 'feels'. Full disclaimer - I saw a post from bookstagrammer @thereadingroom444 late one night the week we had Danielle Allen scheduled for an interview in our Reigning Words Book Review Lounge fb group. Naturally, as part of my co-host prep I had to check it out! So I grabbed my baby kindle and looked this up...OMG ...15-20 minutes later I was done reading! Her characters pulled me into their world & even had me yelling at them at one point as if it were a movie! I enjoyed it and i'm hoping Danielle brings Miles & Kiana back as I loved them!
Needless to say I have to check out all of her holiday hookups now. They're novellas for holidays like MLK Jr. Day, Halloween, Christmas Eve, Juneteenth and a few others. I'm looking forward to catching up - they make great adult bedtime stories!

DANIELLE DELIVERS EVERY FUCKING TIME!!!
short, cute, and sexy, this story was perfect to read in under an hour.
i’m slowly making my way through as many of this author’s books as i can, and i’ve loved each and every one of them.
The Dream was an amazing short story, but funny and sexy, with an ever present add of spice.
the smoothness of miles OH MY GOD and his thoughtfulness AND EVERYTHING I LOVED HIM. kiana being the queen she is with her perfect personality AND THE WAY THEY HAD INSTANT CHEMISTRY!???!?!?!!?!!!!???
loved this book, hope it was just a bit longer though. i need an epilogue about how their life together has been.

the dream was real!!

I feel like these holiday hookups keep getting better and better. Ima have to go back and read them all to pick a favorite. Every time one comes out that one becomes the favorite lol for my first book of the year it started out with a bang!! It was hilarious and hot all at the same time. My Dream
I had the best time reading this book. Kiana and Miles were pure fun. Add in Nikki little remarks and you have not only sexy on a stick but good wholesome friend fun. I know for sure I am missing out on just being and enjoying the weekend fun events that are truly happening in the world. Pure adult fun and memories. This book had so many teachable moments and reflections that it brought the ah ha moments of enjoyment more than the meet and greet.

Who doesn't love a great dream...
Kiana has plans for her and the guy she was dating, but when he lied and didn't show up, Kiana called it quits. Now attending a party by herself, she falls into Miles arms and getting more than just help getting up. Miles and Kiana were perfect for each other and was just what each other needed and wanted. I loved everything about them and hope to see more of them in the future!!!

This is the novella you move to the front of the line!! I couldn't stay out of Danielle's inbox screaming with excitement! I literally yelled at her , "Imma put you out!" After reading several pages because it's so good!! I yelled , I gasped, I clapped, I screamed, And couldn't stop saying shhuuuttt uppppppp, with every turn of the page!! This is a dream !

Loved this!!
This was a great quick read. Chris being a jerk and constantly standing Kiana up became her biggest blessing. She met the man of her dreams on accident. Her and Miles had an instant connection. Great chemistry. My first time reading this author but definitely not my last.

Amazing
