OMG all the SECRETS!!!

There is a case that the OTB Task Force is assigned, they need to find a missing person and time is of the essence since his two partners have recently been found dead so it's all hands on deck and it's a good thing that Brantley and Reese just hired some new people to join the task force because they are going to need everyone's help to find him before he finds the same fate as his partners did.

But will the secrets get in the way or will OTB be able to uncover everything in time? And if you think those are the only secrets you are oh sooooo wrong!

So many things come to light in this 6th book of Brantley Walker: Off the Books Series, so may surprise you some might not but there is one thing that will shock the socks right off of you so be prepared.

If you enjoy Office Romances, MM Romances, Contemporary Romances or Romantic Suspense reads with tons of heat I would highly recommend this book to you.

Happy Reading!!!

This was book 6 in the "Brantley Walker: Off the Books" series. This book had a lot going in it with the couples. With OTB being incorparated with Sniper 1 they can hire new people. While building up the team they get a new case from the Governor which I figured out before they did. When Charlie one of the new hires goes to talk to one of the wives she gets in trouble. Who was the guy that helped Nancy? While working the case the couples are dealing with problems. Brantley and Reese are both hiding things from one another although I think Reese's was worse. JJ is afraid that Baz is going to leave her when the baby is born. Turns out Molly the woman that Baz thinks is having his baby is batshit crazy who tried to trap him. I had to wonder why JJ didn't run a background check on her. Trey is still sneaking around with Magnus although I don't know why Trey is afraid of getting hurt. I liked all of the new hires accept one Allison I don't know what her problem was she had a problem with Brantley who was the only one on the team that wanted her. The sex scenes in his book was hot with all the couples, but Trey and Magnus was hot as hell. Reese makes one bad decision after another and one that leads him to almost being killed. He goes out to dinner with his ex Madison Adorite when thugs come for her. This was a really good book and I love this series. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

I normally love Nicole Edwards books but unfortunately this was just ok for me.

The previous book in this series about the Off the Books task force left me in shambles and I loved it so I was looking forward to how she would continue the series and the relationships between the members of the task force. Who would join and how would it work out being a task force employed by Sniper 1?

I loved how the relationship between JJ and Baz evolved. I have been waiting for them to work out their problems for a long time but wow there is still a very very troubled woman in the vicinity of their world who can stand in the way of their HEA. So Nicole left that plot point open ended which I loved.

On the other hand I really hated the way Reece and Brantley treated each other and all their miscommunication. Maybe I am dead inside but I really didn’t feel sad for them at all. They had so many chances to talk about their problems but let those chances just slip by. I know it was a way to create angst but this time it didn’t touch me unfortunately.

I liked the plot points and the missing person case they work on and I liked the way Nicole Edwards makes your mind spiral and I had a lot of theories whirling around and the red herring was very clever but also fell a bit flat in the end.

I look forward to how Nicole Edwards continues the story and can she redeem Reece and Brantley and make me love them again.

I received an advance review copy for free from the author, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

5 Star Review Secrets (Brantley Walker: Off The Books #6) by Nicole Edwards
The sixth book in the Brantley Walker series from Nicole Edwards and thankfully was not as emotional as the previous book which left me with a severe book hangover.

It’s hard to believe that the agency as been established for close to a year. Now under the umbrella of Sniper 1 Security, they continue to solve cases that others have found impossible. As their cases increase, new members are brought on board.

Brantley Walker and Reese Tavoularis’s relationship both professionally and personally continues to go from strength to strength.

However secrets abound everywhere and as the come to light, issues will arise. Will it destroy what they have built? Can the old and new members come together to make a successful cohesive team?

Another gripping, suspenseful read with twists and turns which made for a riveting read. The story was fast paced with plenty of action both in and out of the bedroom and was a great addition to the series.

This book has left me absolutely heart broken. I wish I could go into the reason why, but I don't want to spoil anything. Some secrets were revealed, and some are still hidden, while one couple figures things out others are still struggling. I love this series and all the different stories that are interlaced throughout the whole book. While I love all of Nicole's series, this one is by far my favorite. All the emotions, betrayal and secrets in this one will have you reading as fast as you can to see what is happening, while at the same time hoping the book never ends. I cannot wait for the next one, I just have to know what's going to happen. I would give this book 10 stars if I could.

Book 6 in the Brantley Walker: Off the Books series and it was a great addition. As they are nearing the one-year anniversary of the team being together, there are secrets that are out there that can tear everything apart. This book will keep you on the edge of your seats, not wanting to put it down because you have to know what is going to happen next. Highly recommend this book and all the others in the series. You won’t be disappointed when you pick book up.

Secrets by N. Edwards is bbook six in the Brantley Walker: Off the Books Series. This is an interconnected stand-alone. The books are best read in order. While the previuos book, Alibi was an heart-wrenching tear-jerker who put me through the wringer two times, is Secrets a more subtle book. There are lots of plotlines going on, literally every character, main - or secondary - has his own voice.
The main storyline is Reese and Brantley's. Both men seems to have nicely settled into their relationship and their everyday life. Everything could be sunshine and roses, but there show some miniscule cracks that are to become problems - nough said.
All in all, an exquisite read, fast paced, complex, unputdownable. Their story continues in the next book.

This was okay...not what I was used to from Nicole. From the beginning the fact that the governor called them in on a case involving his wife or friends of his wife and not explaining anything about why/how made no sense. Then I felt there was too much going on with all the characters it kept jumping around and it was hard to keep track. I really love Baz and JJ and I like Trey with Magnus but we need to know more about why Trey is the way he is, it is more then the age difference. I love Brantley and Reese but felt that their issues were drug on too long and were really stupid and could have been resolved then to end the book the way it did with their relationship hanging was very frustrating.

Well…. what can I say and where the hell do I start? This 6th book in the ‘Brantley Walker: Off the books series DEFINITELY lived up to its name . Secrets…. Holy hell, what a massive understatement. Not only were there secrets with their current case but also amongst the ever growing team. I am loving the new team members by the way (bar one of them) and I’m sure once you read you would understand and agree with me, but that aside, they have picked a really great team now under the command of sniper 1 security.

Nicole Edwards has always been a one- click instant read for me, ever since I first read Kaleb (1st book in the Alluring Indulgence series) I was hooked. Her writing style just speaks to me. Her characters are perfectly imperfect, her plot and twists always leave me hanging, her relationships have me swooning so hard and her ability to pull the reader in and captivate is a true testament to her waaayyy above average talent. Actually average is not a word I would ever use to describe her abilities, her awesomeness shows in each and every word she writes.

BUT………. Holy moly

AAAARRRRGGGHHHH!!!!! This story (and please don’t get me wrong.. I absolutely LOVED it) like all the other 5 books I devoured in this series and loved every single second, but I have to say, this book left me the most frustrated . I was not at all calmly devouring like the other 5 , I was in a constant state of push and pull, reading one minute and wanting to throw my iPad the next. Biting my nails, getting so frustrated, constantly feeling the turmoil with the swirling of anxious butterflies angrily fighting in the pit of my stomach. Sometimes I caught myself reading through the space of my fingers noticing that my hand was glued to my face like I was waiting for a massive accident to happen (actually like a bloody train wreck) and believe me, it happened.
There were so many twists and turns, so many secrets, so much miscommunication or lack of communication at all I was a damn wreck. And don’t even get me started on that cliffhanger!!!!!! (Insert every single cuss word) I love and hate cliffhangers equally because I’m a glutton for punishment it would seem and slightly unhinged lol but DAMN!!! That cliffhanger hurt…

Nicole doesn’t leave us waiting long for her next books so I can usually deal, I’m not so sure I can with this one, there were so many answers left unsaid, so much heartbreak I desperately need the next book like yesterday!!!!

Ok so what does my words above all mean? They mean this…. Nicole Edwards is bloody BRILLIANT!!!! She has again done her job and done it fantastically, she has given us another 5 star read, she has taken us further on the journey into the lives of these amazing characters that just keep burrowing deeper and deeper into our hearts, she is getting our deepest and darkest feelings and forcing them to the surface through will and determination to get us to acknowledge and accept our total and utter commitment/investment into our “Off The Books” family . As much as you feel you WANT everything to go smoothly, and you know… the nice and fluffy feelings of these guys being In love, you know you NEED the realness, the raw and sometimes heartbreaking reality that comes with real life situations, it’s not all roses , sometimes it’s down right murky muddy waters feeling like your stuck in quick sand finding no possible way to freedom, but that life, and in these stories it’s what keeps us turning the pages , it’s what keeps us wanting more, going back doing re-reads because we can’t get enough. It’s authentic and one of the many reasons I’m a massive fan of Nicole Edwards and will continue to read everything she blesses us with.

Loved , loved, LOVED secrets !!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ps if your reading this Nicole, please, please, pretty please don’t keep us waiting long for book 7. I cannot wait to see where the next one goes . I just want more Reese & Brantley burning up the pages in any form you give us 🔥🔥🔥

Nicole Edwards has a vast world that moves from series to series. They overlap and weave in and out of each other. Yet, for the most part, her books can be read as standalone stories if one was so inclined to only want to read about one particular character. (I don’t know why, I love following her winding narrative.) Not so with this series. I would strongly caution anyone who is thinking of picking this book up as a one off to think again.

This is one of those books where so much is happening yet nothing really happens. Let me try to explain that sentence and hope I don’t confuse you further. Brantley, Reese, and the rest of the OTB task force has had some intense situations that culminated in tragedy as well as triumph. It’s time for them to regroup and rebuild. They started out as a ragtag group of friends, and friends of friends, who came together with a common purpose. Now that Sniper 1 Security has taken over the financial running of the group they have the means to hire more staff, buy more gear, and get a real feel for the work they want to do. So a lot of this story is meeting new characters, seeing old characters in a new way, and overall witnessing the impact the previous year has had on our beloved characters.

There are some resolutions and some HEAs, there are many secrets (hence the title!) that will start making you feel that hollow pit in your stomach as certain storylines unfold. There are other secrets that will give you hope that the relationships you’ve been rooting for will work out. On top of it all, there is so much emotion and love from our main couple, although they are both suffering and not talking to each other. Instead, they both (especially Brantley) fall back on physical intimacy every time things get hard. Both Reese and Brantley know this cannot be sustained, but neither seem to want to be the one to speak up first. Stubbornness leads to stupidity.

I trust this author. There are many, many times in previous stories of hers I just couldn’t see where she was taking us. She’s broken all of our hearts a time or two, but done it fantastically and with purpose. She’s also brought so much joy and hopefulness to her stories. When I got to the end of this book, I just kept reminding myself that Nicole Edwards must know what she’s doing. But she’s sure keeping me on the edge while she’s doing it! A warning to romance readers, while we do get an HFN for many of the characters, some are still muddling through. Just as with her other books in this particular series, this storyline is very fluid and not something to be tied up at the end of each and every book.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review.

The members of the Off the Books Task Force are nearing their one-year anniversary, and while they've closed several cases, it hasn't been easy. Despite the fact the governor disbanded the team, they are thriving under the umbrella of Sniper 1 Security. Now that they work in the private sector, there are new tasks that must be tackled, like brining on new members. Even as they work to broaden their reach, there are still cases to be worked. When a partner in a an investment firm goes missing, Governor Greenwood reaches out for their assistance and the team uses their combined skills to unravel the mystery that surround his disappearance. Not only do secrets emerge where the case is concerned, many more are brought to light within the team.

This book will keep you on your toes and is so steamy. Now that OBT is not longer supported by the governor they have to rebuild and they are doing so under the Sniper 1 Security umbrella. As they are rebuilding the governor has another case that needs their attention. Together they can solve this but it so brings out a lot of secrets that have been being kept between the member of OBT. Reese and Brantley are still going strong but every time things get hard or they are suffering weather individually or together about something Brantley has this bad habit of falling into being physical and not really dealing with the emotions of it all. These two are certainly so stubborn about telling each other things they should be sharing that I just wanted to shake both of them to get it together. There are secrets flying like I said but it will give you the hope that some of these couples we have been falling in love with have what it takes to make it and some well I'm just not really sure. This story too really moves and your head will be spinning but I for one loved every single second of it and can never get enough of this series.

So much drama! I love Brantley, I wasn't sure where Ms. Edwards was going after the last book, I was devastated when I read about Kylie I wasn't sure if I could continue reading this series.

Brantley and Reese continue to restructure Off the Books Task Force with new staff. As they also continue their journey in their relationship, insecurities and secrets continue to keep them at a distance. Both Reese and Brantley love each other but is love enough? Both mask insecurities about themselves and cannot open up and tell the other their problems. Enter Madison Adorite into their story and this relationship is definitely on the rocks if they can't communicate with each other. Reese is having doubts about how he is feeling for Brantley and is afraid that seeing Madison again will remind him of what he had with her. He is afraid that what he is feeling is a passing thing for Brantley. Brantley is insecure that he may not be enough for Reese when he sees that he has been texting with Madison and is afraid that Reese will leave him and go back to Madison.

Baz and JJ continue to tiptoe around the elephant in the room, namely Molly. Trey continues to have "something going on" with Magnus but doesn't want a relationship. There is so much going on, this series can continue for a long time, more like a soap opera.

Not to add a spoiler, but the ending of the book is a cliffhanger! You know what the next book is going to start with, will this be over for Brantley and Reese, will Trey really break it off with Magnus, what is crazy Molly going to to?? I'm going to be inpatient waiting for the next installment of this series.

I received an advance copy through BookFunnel for my honest review.

OMG!! This series just gets better and better with each book. I cannot get enough of Brantley Walker, Reese Tavoularis and the rest of the Task Force. What started out a group of friends on a task force for the governor has now evolved into a force to be reckoned with. Although they were disbanded by the Governor, the Task Force has now been messed in with Sniper 1 Security, which has now provided them with the ability to hire more staff and more tactical gear. In Secrets we get to meet the new members of the Task Force, and we start to see where their storylines will take us in future books. However, meeting new characters is not the only thing that this one is about. How could it be with a title such as Secrets, and boy, oh boy, does it mean that secrets are being revealed, as well as the fall out and the consequences that must be dealt with once they come to light. And sadly, Reese and Brantley are not immune to the secrets that are revealed and their consequences. Yet, great for us readers, because this is where we really get to experience the real emotional and heart wrenching part of this story.

Along with the Task Force dealing with its own secrets, they also need to find two missing people where time is definitely of the essence, since two people already have been found dead. The Task Force is on a race against time, and the ability to hire new people comes at just the right time.

If you are looking for an emotional rollercoaster with a suspense factor, and awesome characters then Secrets is the book for you. Bravo Nicole Edwards on yet another fantastic book. I cannot wait for the next book in this series.

Secrets!
How many are there within the storyline? Every person presented here has a secret close to their hearts. Being good/bad/troublesome/fearful/deadly. The OTB Team are finding themselves entwined in one big secret - Marriage. But what of their own secrets? Who will cave first and tell? Who will withhold on theirs??

Secrets, - there were so many within the storyline. Some were answered but not finalised. Questions are still present and will be answered within the coming reads. Question, are we also crossing over with the Adorite’s. I feel there is still a story there.
Reese and Brantley left on a cliffhanger- argh……… Trey and Magnus, Baz and J.J. their foundations are firmly set. Back to Reese and Brantley - smoking hot overall but here insecurities were expressed. No spoiling, one needs to read to understand who they are, what they have gone through, what they have accomplished.
O.T.B.’s team received a new case, and we welcome new characters. Working with Sniper 1 and being under their umbrella, new cases and different routes will be expected.

Simply, Nicole has outdone herself with the O.T.B. Series and all series written by her. There is still mention of the Walker Familyb and what transpired with Travis and his family.

Nicole is an exceptional author who welcomes you into her world. You will fall in love with the characters and wish they were your neighbours. A good old Texan Hi and you are welcome.
Cannot wait for the next instalment to see how many ‘Secrets’ are still to be uncovered and who will feel most comfortable within their skin.

I couldn't put this book down. I have loved every book in this series, and yes, their were LOTS of secrets.
Brantley and Reese are still recovering after the mess in the last book with the death of Kylie Walker. Themselves and their team still feel the guilt of not catching Juliet Prince in time. Now they are adding many new team members and training with Sniper 1 Security to learn more so they will ready in tough situations. Secrets.. Reese has been in contact with his ex-fiance Madison. She keeps texting him asking when they can get together for dinner, and Reese keeps responding..
Baz and JJ are still living together and JJ still can't sleep alone after her horrible ordeal in the last book. Baz is still dealing with Molly, his mistake on New Years Eve that is eight months pregnant and is constantly calling him all day. Secrets.. Molly has a lot of them that Baz will soon find out.
Trey and Magnus are still having evening romps six months later. Secrets.. Their relationship is STILL a secret.
Brantley and his team are working a new case trying to figure out why two men are dead and one man is missing from the same company. Nicole and her excellent writing has you trying to figure out the mystery that will have you flipping pages as fast as I was.
Excellent read, STEAMY love scenes with all the couples, suspense, and will leave you wanting more.

Secrets!!

Nicole does it again!!
Book 6 of the OTB series. A task force run by Brantley Walker.
A great continuation of his relationship with Reese Tavoularis and another missing persons case to solve.
The missing person was a partner of 2 murdered colleagues and friends, was he missing or was he dead? The task force has new members so the team start to work on the case quickly and efficiently but there was trouble brewing in paradise, Brantley had accidentally seen a text message on Reeves phone and he wasn't happy that Reese wasn't explaining why he received the text.
Reese regretted that he had replied to the first text from Madison because now she was texting him all the time, he ignored her for a while but then after a bad day he decided to talk to her. BAD IDEA!!
As he was with Brantley, Reese knew he shouldnt be talking to his ex but most of all he should tell Brantley he's doing it. The secret burns through him. They go away to Dallas and Reese does something really stupid and he ends up getting shot, Brantley is angry with him but rush's to the hospital to check he's alive?....

I don't agree with spoilers in reviews so I'm not giving anything away, you have to read this amazing book to find out what happens.
I can't wait for the next book.

Another 5 star book from Nicole Edwards. Another installment for the Off The Books Task Force and I just can't get enough of Brantley and Reese. The task force is now being funded by Sniper One Security, and as they expand we get to meet new characters and have old characters make an appearance. As we meet these new members of the task force, we see how they fit in with the old members and we are left anticipating how their stories are going to play out in future stories, (which makes me very happy because that means there are many more books to follow).
In this book, we encounter all the secrets that are being kept and secrets that are being revealed, all while the Task Force must locate 2 missing people. In this book we also see where there is some lingering effects from the previous book that have left all the characters scrambling to find their new normal. None is more affected than Reese and we start to see where he beings to question a lot about himself, causing a small rift between Reese and Brantley. When Reese gets injured while keeping a secret from Brantley, we are left wondering what is next for these 2. Can the rift be fixed or is the relationship damaged forever.
Definitely recommend this book and this series to anyone that likes to read.
Once again, great job Nicole and I can't wait for the next installment.

*4 stars*
I love this author's books and her writing, so I'm always excited to starting reading a story by her. And of course, I have to honestly say that I haven't read the others yet in this interconnected series so I'll have to get my butt in gear and do so 'cuz even though I could follow the storyline just fine, I feel like I was missing a few parts. But that said, I really enjoyed the chemistry between Brantley and Reese but also got a feel of the other characters in the book. One of my favorite characters was J.J. and how her story played out. Of course Brantley & Reese are involved in the main story but you get bit and pieces of everybody else and a few references to the other series the author has written. It had a romantic feel but the suspense took over. Can't wait to discover the others but mostly to see what happens next.

When a new case rises, Brantley and his team will have to do whatever it takes to bring the missing person home safely. With not many leads to go on, bits and pieces are revealed and they finally catch a break but will they find him on time?... Throughout all of the investigations, everyone has their own issues to deal with but everyone will do what they can to move forward.

Right from the get go, Secrets is a book that holds so much with its title and story line that will ultimately leave you a little emotionally wrung out by the end. Nicole Edwards did not hold back with this story, the characters, their relationships, and how everything is working together. Ms. Edwards has this wonderful ability to weave so many moving parts together, then back and forth, and back together again that we are left with a read that pulls you in to the point you cannot put it down until the very end.

Brantley and Reese and the rest of the Off The Books team are navigating new ground with the new placement under Sniper 1 Security, as well as new team members, trying to figure out where and how everyone fits together. It was fun to read and learn about the new additions and how they fit with our tried and true members from the beginning. Along the way we are pulled into a little mystery, as well as relationship ups and downs, and eye opening revelations. There are many "Aha!" moments, many wonderful sexy time moments that this author is so well known for, as well as many moments where you want to shake some sense into a character. I have grown attached to each and every character in this series and cannot wait to find out where their story goes in the next book.

It’s time for Brantley and Reese to put together a new team for the Off The Books task force now that they fall under the umbrella of Sniper 1 Security. That means new hires for them and more characters for us to enjoy! So, Secrets, book six in the Brantley Walker: Off the Books series story hits the ground running as many of the characters we already know find themselves merging and getting to know all of the new team members when a missing persons case is brought to their attention.
While Brantley and Reese are always at the forefront of this series they are also surrounded by a complex group of team members and so many of them are keeping their own personal secrets from their pasts, to their attraction to other members of the team to complicated relationships and so much more. Yet, they are all trying to become a cohesive team. So, now Brantley and Reese not only find themselves having a crime to solve, they have a new team to coordinate and they are also finding their own relationship strained. They will now all have to put aside their differences in order to solve the crime in front of them first.

Omg, what just happened? I’m so shook up with the ending but here is my review. Now that Brantley and Reese have managed to get the group together and become part of Sniper 1, things are starting to get much more interesting. Secrets is the perfect name for this book, so many secrets have been kept that can ruin a relationship. Some secrets have come out and yet there are some secrets yet to be revealed. There was never a dull moment in this book, every character, every couple, even people from sniper one that we fell in love with in other books are making a presence. They get their first big case, and members of the team are broken up in to groups. With the case taking over their time you would not think there would be much else on their minds, but you couldn’t be more wrong. This book was fast paced, beautifully written, and my emotions were all over the board, To say Nicole Edwards did it again would be an understatement. She really outdid herself on this one. You ever talk back to a book.? I did, I found myself poking my opinion into the characters. The next book in the series can not come fast enough.

First off, I would like to say that Nicole Edwards is an automatic one click for me. I have enjoyed the Off The Book series so far and was looking forward to reading this new one from her.

Brantley and Reese's relationship is getting stronger, and the group is growing to include new hires since being added to the Sniper 1 Security team. I for one cannot wait to see what Nicole has up her sleeve for all the new characters being added.

The case this time is a good one and it takes everyone to help solve it. So far, the new team is working out well, but you don't know what Nicole has in store for us.

In this story you get to see some couples forming and some having a hard time communicating. I really love the way Nicole writes her relationships in the stories. It always seems like she enjoys building up a couple. We always get the angst but, in the end, she wrapped it up so we can move on with the next chapters of the story. I am hoping Nicole keeps this series going for a long time since I already invested in this group of people.

I always love seeing gorgeous men on the cover of my books, but this cover is beautiful (no man needed).

Wow what a tangled web😜😲

I thought for sure Reese was thinking about getting back together with Madison, so they could have a Plot relationship with Brantley. Who knew it would turn into such a clustering of a mess!!! What the he'll was Reese thinking?! I think he's still very much confuse about his sexuality. Even though he loves Brantley. He's wondering how the he'll did I get here from dating only women, to falling in love with a man! I guess that would confused anyone. But in the process instead of taking out his insecurities with Brantley. Instead he went out to dinner with his ex girlfriend almost fiance, Madison Adorite. She actually left him for dead in the restaurant after he saved her life. She didn't have to back to check on him. How ducked up is that?! Now he and Brantley are in the outs of a simple misunderstanding. All they needed to do was to talk to each other. Baz and Molly, ongoing saga finally came to an end. I always knew that she was batshit crazy. And the baby she carried wasn't his. So glad that he and JJ are together now. Trey and Magnus are so hot together. Can't wait for the next chapter in this ongoing saga.

Secrets is the 6th installment of the Brantley Walker: Off the Books series. While all the books are interconnected through the members of the task force and in that, the book continues on from Alibi, Secrets is like a new beginning. From here on out, the books will feature a new case for the team, while the personal stories of the team members will continue to evolve. Because of that, the book is off to a slow start - getting all the players on the board, explaining their current situations and lining them up just right. But once that is done, it's a fast-paced, action-packed who-dunit with a surprise or two! The personal spotlight of Secrets is on Brantley and Reese, both withholding crucial details about their pasts which come back to haunt them as they work the missing person/homicide case. Their scenes are at once steamy and so sweet, I wanted to bang their heads together for not talking things out. While in the end the case is solved, there is a cliffhanger, too, as the team is left to deal with a heavy blow. I hope we don't have to wait too long for the story to continue!

Reading this series is so much different from all other Nicole Edwards series. Instead of a book to highlight one love story, this series has been a collection of love stories being told about many characters being told in segments through time. Instead of the meeting, the attraction, the attachment, the relationship crisis, and the happily ever after resolution, the readers are being gradually treated to a much more longitudinal look at several love stories as they develop over time. In this particular novel, there is a mystery/romantic suspense story as always. However it is the secrets of our many lovers that are taking center stage this go around, and it is Reese’s secrets most of all. It is apparent that he cannot continue to hold those secrets in, and cracks have begun to form. These cracks threaten his relationship with Brantley as well as with the rest of his life. Edwards continues to write the raw emotion, misunderstandings, and personal struggles of her characters in such a real way that I can imagine each of the characters thought processes from their personal frames of reference. I am hoping that she doesn’t take too long with the next installment of this series because there are way too many important cliffhangers facing my beloved new friends right now. If you have been enjoying this series so far, don’t stop now. It’s getting real. I am voluntarily leaving this review after reading an advanced complementary copy of this book.

Have you ever read a book that starts out flowing really smooth and then as the story progresses, it gets more and more exciting as you turn the pages? Well this is how Secrets is.
So of course when my family insisted for food, I reluctantly had to put the book down and go feed them. 🤨 Wimps, lol 😂
When I started back reading, I read this book in 1 day!! Secrets is the appropriate name for this book because there are secrets everywhere. The case they are solving has many secrets but eventually it all comes out and gets solved.
But Nicole, you are killing me!! The secrets involving the 3 main couples, I don’t like. Well except for 1 of them. I was so glad to read that but the others was like a slap in the face. 🤦🏻‍♀️
So, not like Alibi, no MC’s were killed off but I’m not really happy. 😔
All this being said, this is fast becoming one of my favorite series. ❤️ I know this book just came out today, but I want the next one like yesterday!!

Another visit with the Off the Books, Task Force and another great addition to the Brantley Walker: Off the Books Series. The agency is now a year down the line and as they now fall under the umbrella of Sniper 1 Security and cases are growing it’s time to bring new members on board.
As we see the teams grow and we meet new members we also see Brantley Walker and Reese Tavoulari moving forward with their personal and business relationship but secrets are being kept and that could mean the end of everything they have built…….
This book ticked all my boxes, I loved the characters, the twists and turns, the chemistry as well as some witty banter but what took this hook to another level was the bonds that are being formed by the old and the new team members and I’m excited for what’s to come next from the very talented Ms Edwards. Once again we see why this author has become a go to for gripping romantic suspense novels.

Nicole Edwards needs to take a minute and pat herself on the back for this book. It was that good. I believe I have read everything by this author, but something about this series calls out to me. You still get the references to the Walker clan, but there are so many new characters being developed. Secrets has a lot of secrets. But in the best way possible. This book made me laugh, cry and shout more profanities than I have probably said aloud in the last month. It was one I could not put down. I would love to tell more about the storyline, but I’m afraid that might spoil some of the book. There were so many twists and turns in the book. I may have gotten whiplash at one point. But that seemed to flow so smoothly because of the way Nicole Edwards writes her books. If you are new to the series or new to her writings altogether, hold on tight because it is going to be a wild ride. And I would encourage you to read the books prior to this one. This is one not to be missed!
