Previous cover edition for the Kindle edition with ASIN: B09Q6L73CD

An unprecedented storm. An uncertain future. And some really hot sex.

When a winter storm like nothing the Pacific Northwest has ever seen traps a group of friends in a remote cabin, at first it seems like a fantastic time. They have a fire, they have food, and they are committed to keeping each other warm, in any way necessary. As things get more serious, they'll have to find strength and trust between them to survive.

Will Katie and her three men conquer the wintery world? Or will they find the challenges are more than their burgeoning relationship can handle?

A fun story. There's some action, suspence, romance, spice (4 🌶 for me). Even with the apocalypse snow storm and crazy people (really, who are they?!) and worrying about what's happened to others, the love stories were sweet, if almost instalove. I wish there was a bit more, so I'm hoping book two also has snips of these characters. I would dock the rating to 3.75 though, just because of the author using the wrong names and the grammar was weird in some places, both of which caused some confusion.

Definitely worth a read – the complex interplay between the combinations of relationships, and the action-packed, almost Sci-Fi external story in this novel, make it so much more than a just highly erotic read (although, it must be said that this author is soooo good at writing Steam Factor #5).

So, I’ve read MMF and RH – is there such a thing as RH-MMMF? The four main characters are all distinctly different in personality and behaviours – and I always love Lance’s FMCs – strong, independent and feisty!

Excellent cliff-hanger! I’m on the edge of my seat now, waiting for Part 2 – I so want to know what happens next, both in the over-arching story and within the relationships and bonds that have been formed between the four.

Snow-pocolyse

A massive snow storm traps Katie and her sister Margot in their family cabin. A knock at the door brings their old friends Archer, Cole and Leo. In a neighbouring cabin, Jake is prepping during the start of the snowstorm when Simon surprisingly appears, desperately needing help. These groups separate and regroup, trying to stay safe and survive both the strange weather and violent neighbours. This story was a mix of adrenaline-filled survival action and fantastically filthy-dirty “bedroom action”. I loved how this story panned out, with the various polyamorous pairings between Katie, Simon, Leo and Jake. I’m so curious to find out what happened to Margot, Archer and Cole - I can’t wait to read Second Chances! A fantastic read.

Wow. First, so glad Goodreads is using this cover instead of the more discreet cover on Kindle. 🤦‍♀️
Second. The book is for advanced smut readers only. If that ain’t you, keep walking. If it you do find yourself in that category go ahead and give this a try - you’ll love it!
One star off because there a a few instances where the wrong name is used and the timeline doesn’t quite match up.

DNFd at 22%.

I really liked the premise of this book, even if it's not in any way original, but that's pretty much all there is to like.

I have no idea who the author is, but in my imagination, she's a sixteen-year-old high schooler with a delightfully dirty mind and a long way to go in developing her writing skills.

The writing is amateurish at best, appalling at worst. I read less than a quarter of the book and was already fed up with the enormous amount of typos. Honestly, it looks like more a rough first draft than a finished book.

And then there's the characters. They are flatter than a wall, and have about the same personality. Oh, and all five of the MMCs are bisexual. That alone nearly drove me insane. Two, maybe three character being bi is perfectly okay. But all five? Nope, it's just not realistic.

As for character and relationship development, there is none. None at all, and that's just unforgivable.

Finally, the plot. I didn't get far enough into the book to judge the plot. So all I'm going to say is that it didn't pique my interest enough to put me in a more forgiving mood.

In conclusion, what this book needs is a rewrite, and also to be proofread and professionally edited. If that were to happen, I'd gladly give it another go.

hmmm

Kristen Lance is a new author for me, and the premise to keep he story is/was a good one and sounded interesting. The main four characters were all strong, capable, interesting, with good hearts and intentions.

However, the execution of he story lacked somewhat. It was confusing, I’m not sure if it was all done he POV’S or what but I found it hard to follow. There were some typos which I usually don’t mention, except this time they were mixing up the characters names. Which made it hard to follow along.

This was an MFMM story but it felt like Katie was an afterthought, that it was all about the men and she was there to make MFMM tag real. While there were a lot of sexy times the steam level was low.

I hate giving a less than stellar review. I can only imagine the work that an author does to write and publish a book and I would not want to take that away. In this case I think more editing would have helped. If the Beta readers caught the areas that were confusing, they could be fixed.

The book has a lot going for it. It was no where near the worst book I have read and I think it has so much potential to be awesome!

Long live the queen!

Kristin Lance is the queen of MMF, or in this case, MMMF <3. You see how their beautiful, poly relationship starts and grows through the chaos of the crazy storm. She does a great job showing the individual relationships and how they fit as group. Steam? Nah, it's a whole bonfire 🔥 🔥🔥

fun

This was a fun little read. There was a little confusion in the beginning because like Katie called Leo Cole at one point and Jake kept referring to Simon as Leo but it all sorted out eventually. Editing error maybe? Oh well it didn’t take away from the enjoyment of the story. I wasn’t sure how everyone was gonna come together but once they did it was absolutely perfect. I’m super interested to see what’s going on with Green Fire and also Margot, Asher, and Cole so I’ll definitely be reading the next book

A Winter Apocalypse

The snow came and wouldn't stop . Many were trapped and what could they do to survive. There men and a woman, the odds were not good. Or were they. Can they survive? Will there be others? An interesting read that flows well.

should be five but…

There are some editing issues which spoil this book, muddling of names and other details which make you stop and have to reread trying to make sense of some passages. Shame because the characterisation is good.

Just okay

I was glad to find an equal opportunity lovers book, but sadly the plot and characters were stiff and unrealistic in any way. I seriously doubt if I will read the others in this series.

A New Family.

My first read by this author, great story line, amazing sex. The way they took care of each other proved no matter the situation family first.
