I’m an author who had a somewhat unorthodox upbringing. I was raised in South America and the Middle East, and wrote my first stories as a teenager in Kuwait, where my sister and I proved it really is hot enough to fry an egg on the sidewalk. I wrote my first novel in three months on a typewriter when I was 21, I used every romance cliché possible (including amnesia — need I say more?), and never rewrote anything, which is why it’s so much fun to pull it out occasionally when I need a good laugh. I wrote sporadically until my youngest child (who is now 18) was two, when I decided it was time to either actually start writing, or to stop saying I was a writer. So I took a class and started doing the scary things that writing requires. Now I’ve written about twelve novels and several children’s books.
I love the residents of Moonchuckle Bay. I appreciate all of the funny names for businesses and the play on words. This book was full of magic, misunderstandings, and hexes. Poor Eric kept getting turned into a frog! I loved seeing Chicory give in to her feelings, and for her and Eric to finally figure out what happened ten years ago. This was just what I needed on Halloween night!
I just finished Chicory Spells Trouble, and I'm so glad she finally got her happily ever after! Chicory has been in every Moonchuckle Bay book as a side character and I've been waiting for this for a while. Eric is devoted, and I love that (in this instance) he won't take no for an answer and insists on winning back Chicory. The story was so cute!
Whenever there’s a new Heather Horrocks release I must have it. She creates crazy adventures featuring on paranormal creatures, love and happily ever after. Like always there’s the beginning of a new story entwined in the book. This story has hexed life mates reuniting and Natalie Wood revived as a nymph. To be continued…
Delightful in every way possible! As with all of these stories from Heather, fun, mystery, intrigue and of course romance is in abundance! I have enjoyed each one of these stories.
Eric - came back rich after being gone for 10 years Chicory- heartbroken after her love left her now getting a business up and running and now he is bk. This book was full of magic, misunderstandings, and hexes. Their story has a loving hea.
Though the inconsistencies kept tossing me from the story, it was still a delightful book. If you need a lighthearted, fun read, the Moonchuckle Bay series is a good choice.
