Sabine has been looking into D/s relationships to discover her own fit
Sabine has lived a lifestyle that many would envy, a rich family where she was cared for by a plethora of nannies and maids and when she turned eighteen came into her trust fund so didn’t even have to worry about finding a job.
However, she knows that she wants more out of life her best friend is living in a very special D/s relationship where she actually has three masters she lives with full time, the love her and are in a fully committed relationship and this has led Sabine to seriously look into the lifestyle.
She has been coming to club Surrender for some time speaking with some of the other subs and also with a few of the Masters and also has been staying with her best friend so has a first hand knowledge of the life although the Daddy Dom/littles came as something of a surprise and as one of her fiends happily lives this life she has learned a great deal about it.
Master Roman has been trying to encourage Master Kellen to take on Sabine as his little for a few weeks as he can see he is interested in her and she is also he is convinced attracted to this lifestyle. When he agrees to take her into his home for two weeks it seems that quite possibly the only people surprised are Sabine and Master Kellen.
As things seem to be going well being a rather stubborn little Sabine decides to go exploring and this causes upset and Sabine realises that like everyone else in her life, he also doesn’t want her either.
This is a wonderful read and a great addition to the series; I cannot wait for more books by this wonderful author.

Abby invites her friend Sabine to visit and explore the BDSM lifestyle. Sabine has always been curious about the lifestyle but knows she couldn't possibly explore at home. Even with the privacy surrounding clubs she's sure her parents would find out somehow.
There's one aspect Sabine hasn't experienced and the thing is all the Doms we've met agree it's the one she is suited for.
Kellen hasn't had a Little since his wife passed away. They were perfect together and when it's suggested he train Sabine as a part of her research he balks a bit. However, ever since he first saw Sabine, he's been attracted. He decides to give it a try after seeing her with Lucy. It's only two weeks after all.
I can't help but think 'famous last words' as Kellen muses on his way to show Sabine her room.
This book was is informative about the Little lifestyle, this training is far different from what we read with Lucy. It was interesting to watch Sabine select the age for the day and fall into the role. Even more interesting is Kellen's reaction to her.
Of course there's going to be some snags in this relationship, especially since Kellen is falling hard for Sabine in spite of telling himself he won't.
I love the way Becca helps us immerse into the training, the caring, and love that just pours off the pages. There's laughter, tears, romance and some sizzling heat as Sabine finds that Kellen is the man and the Dom for her.
I can't wait to see what's next in this series!

Becca Jameson writes amazing characters with amazing depth. Kellen lost his wife to breast cancer and has closed himself off and refused to take on another little. Sabine is a newby at BDSM, but was introduced to it when her friend Abby interned with Beck, Levi, and Julius, and stayed with them as their submissive. Sabine decided to visit Abby for a while and became curious and started visiting Surrender and even tried dabbling in domination. But everyone could tell that she was a submissive through and through (and more specifically a little). Kellen was intrigued by Sabine and agreed to teach her all about being a little, and she agreed to live under his roof and his expectations for two weeks. The only thing they didn't agree on was falling for each other. But will Kellen sabotage everything because he can't let go of the ghost of his wife, or will Sabine be too stubborn to admit her feelings. Great series.

Book four of the Surrender series, “Choosing Kellen,” was another great read by one of my go to authors Becca Jameson. Sabine, who just finished getting her Master’s degree in English, was trying to figure what to do next. When speaking with Abby, Abby invites her to Seattle for the summer and to visit club Surrender. Sabine decides to go for research for she is extremely interested in BDSM and wants to write a book on the lifestyle. So she goes in the name in research. Master Kellen, who lost his wife to breast cancer, is intrigued with Sabine. He doesn’t want to be though. Everyone knows she’s a submissive even though she’s exploring the club. When an agreement between these two happened. For two weeks she will be his little. Sabine is interested in the Daddy/little lifestyle after being around Lucy. What happens next between these two I will leave to you to find out. I highly recommend this book.

This is book 4 in the Surrender series but can easily be read standalone without impacting any of your enjoyment. Sabine is visiting her friend Abby for the summer and taking the time to explore her feelings about BDSM. As part of this, she agrees to trial living as a little to Kellen's Daddy for 2 weeks. This sub-genre is not a favourite of mine and I'm always a little wary about committing to any story that features age play but I am a fan of this author. The author has crafted a very readable story that highlights the dangers that not being open with communication can play in any relationship. In this instance it's a BDSM relationship, but it could just as easily be any relationship between 2 people. As the story is told in alternating points of view I really enjoyed being privy to their thoughts and emotions.

Another awesome Surrender book! This one is Abby's friend Sabine and Master Kellen. Sabine has wanted to explore BDSM but with her parents being who they are, it is a little had to put herself out there in her hometown. Road trip to see Abby for the summer. As she explores different aspects of BDSM she catches the eye of Master Kellen. He is reluctant at first but decides what will it hurt to train Sabine. It is only for a few weeks... right? I loved watching Sabine explore and really find herself and what she needs. At the same time, I enjoyed seeing Master Kellen open up to love again. I really did not want to put this book down and cannot wait for book 5.

The Surrender series by Becca Jameson is a favorite. What great characters! I must confess that reading about Daddy Doms and their littles are a guilty pleasure for me. Choosing Kellen certainly ticked all the boxes.

Doing research for a BDSM lifestyle book allows Sabine to dip her toe in the water and what seems to interest her most is the Daddy/little dynamic. Kellen and Sabine agree to a limited two week contract with unexpected results for both of them.

It's interesting and steamy and definitely a different romance . Sabine came to Seattle to spend time after college with her friend Abby . She wants to experiment in the BDSM life style . She wants to write a book . She finds herself drawn to Daddy /Little and Kellen enters the picture . Kellen is not sure he's ready for a new relationship after loosing his wife and he's not sure if he's ready at all for Sabine . This story is full of intense feelings and new discovery oh in definitely a different romance . I highly recommend taking the time to read .

Always, always, no matter that it's not my kink, Ms. Jameson pulls me into her characters world.
The writing is always sharp. The characters amazingly done.
I get to explore safely from my Kindle, and learn new things. It is interesting to ponder whether people's proclivities are imprinted from birth. Are they genetically inherited? Well, enough scientific pondering.
If you want a good read, and for many, delve into something you never have before, this might just satisfy that itch.
I enjoyed my escape!

Since I've read Becca Jameson before, I can say that Choosing Kellen was another great dive into the culture. And since no one writes quite like her, I have to compare it to the earlier books in this series, which I felt were just a bit better. Choosing Kellen was short - and felt that way. It needed a bit more depth (I look back to Abby's story for reference). She had all of the pieces, I just needed the characters explored a bit more.

Kellen isn’t ready to move on after losing his wife 3 years ago. He takes on teaching Sabine the ‘lifestyle’ while trying not to grow attached. Sabine needs someone to be on ehr side, to show her guidance. He was just supposed to be 2 weeks.. until she fell in love, and then snooped.
Kellen needed the right person to bring him back. Sabine didn’t believe she deserved someone like him. I love them both.
