Ever since I came upon the Kickstarter for C Is For Cthulhu I have come to appreciate Jason Ciaramella as an author. His books although geared towards a much younger audience are intimately associated with the Lovecraftian universe while they always introduce the reader to the numerously varied cast that can only be found alongside the Elder Gods and Old Ones.

Within this particular book the reader is given a book that not only teaches colors to young readers but also numbers up to 10. And the teaching is maximized since instead of exploring each subject apart they are combined together such as with a blue H.P. Lovecraft (I kind of worry about his reasoning behind this) and the red Necronomicons.

At the same time that the reader is being taken the world of Lovecraft they are encouraged to find Cthulhu on each page and just as a tip he is colored to match the theme color on the page.

For those who are fans of Lovecraft and Cthulhu this makes for a great book to teach your little ones although the cast of characters won't be as intimately known. As such I would highly recommend it just for the combined uses of colors and numbers but not as an introductory guide since the cast of characters is more for the adults then the child.

Another great Lovecraftian children’s book! Enough said. Love the illustrations in a children’s book format. Fun for Lovecraft fans of all ages.

Using characters from Lovecraft's stories, colors and numbers are introduced. A lot of kids are fascinated by monsters so this might be fun for them. The pictures are very colorful, but some of it is strange with lots of unfamiliar words. I thought it was kind of fun, but I don't know how some of my family members would feel about me using Lovecraft to teach them colors and numbers. Some of the pictures are pretty strange, but I don't think they're too scary. I know my adult granddaughter thought it was hilarious

For parents who want to introduce their children to eldritch horrors at an early age.

This is actually a pretty cute book, with an adorable little Cthulhu hiding out on every page. Despite being inspired by Lovecraft's writings, this is no more frightening than Count von Count on Sesame Street.
