Soulmates. I believe in them. I was lucky enough to have two of them at one point. The only problem. My soulmates happened to be twin brothers. Caiden was the light to Jackson's dark. And after all that I had been through, the light was what I thought I needed. When I chose Caiden, I lost Jackson. And then tragedy struck, and I lost Caiden too. I ruined three lives that day...if only I'd known. It took me years to admit to myself that I had chosen wrong from the beginning. I’m ready to admit it to Jackson...only problem, he hates me. I’m ready to fight for my happily ever after. But there’s a reason they call him the Heartbreak Prince.
*This set includes the following books: 1. Heartbreak Prince 2. Heartbreak Lover
I'm a wife, mother, and author! Writing has always been a passion for me, and publishing my first series is a dream come true. I drink too much caffeine, never sleep, and my imagination is always churning out ideas. Eva and her men have been in my head for awhile, and I'm so glad to finally take you with me on this journey!
I liked the book up until the ending. The ending felt very rushed and forced. It’s pretty clear that twin 2 is a manipulative narcissist. And narcissists don’t do what he did at the end.
But I liked this book! It very much reminded me of the fanfictions I read when I was 15! It was a dark love story and a decent read. (╹◡╹)
And what I liked about this book: Everly didn’t give twin 2 29737273 chances and didn’t go back to him. Not even as friends. Good for her, for real.
This was a really good book throughout and was pretty hard to put down once I got into it. The ending just felt pretty rushed and that was pretty disappointing for me. It felt like it was building up and building up and then someone pressed fast forward and it just ended. In the notes she said she didn’t know how the book would end when she started writing it, and that is really obvious because the ending is abrupt and clearly not well thought out or executed.
An unbelievable Duet that gave me so many emotions I couldn't put it down. Just breathtakingly beautiful!
I became in lust with Heartbreak Prince after seeing the book cover, intrigued while reading the blurb and blown away after reading the last page!! When you go in blindly into a story and come out with a rollercoaster of emotions you know that you just read a damn good book! Everly, Jackson and Caiden's story is chaotic, madness and heartbreakingly beautiful. Three best friends with so much love for one another, but what happens when you start feeling more for the other person and so does your other best friend. I couldn't get enough of this trio. This book had me laughing, screaming at my iPad and in ugly tears, but it was so worth it. Heartbreak Prince is a must read book and now I am anxiously waiting for Heartbreak Lover!!
Yesssss, a thousand times yesssss to the Broken Hearts Academy Duet!! I have been anxiously waiting for more Jackson and Everly after I finished reading Heartbreak Prince and C.R. Jane did not disappoint. Jackson and Everly's story broke my heart and this book pieced it back together page by page. This story is full of heartbreak, second chances and new beginnings. I cried I swooned and cried some more in this story and Jackson and Everly is a couple that I will want to reread again and again.
The first book was alright. We have a broken FMC finally starting a prestigious new school on scholarship after an accident with one of her best friends/ ex boyfriend. The MMC blames her for the accident regardless of the fact that she wasn't driving, and the subsequent coma of his twin brother who was the ex boyfriend of the FMC also regardless of the fact that his brother caused his own coma.
Due to the aforementioned shoddy reasoning he decides to make her pay by bullying her, but also can't keep away from her.
There's tons of BBS until she finally breaks up with him and lo and behold the coma brother wakes up.
That's book 1.
Book 2 was just a complete train wreck. The FMC is surrounded by multiple random crazy people in addition to the now coma free ex boyfriend who turns out is a sociopath. It became beyond ridiculous how many times the FMC was attacked. It just seemed like lazy writing. I'm not kidding, between the sociopath ex boyfriend, the creepy professor, the insane roommate and her new bipolar boyfriend. Just no. And then that ending. Ugh.
As a child, they were her saviors, as a young woman they were her destruction. Everly met Caiden and Jackson, twin brothers when she was eleven and they rescued her from schoolyard bullies. They became her best friends and for years they were her world. But in Everly's world, good things aren't meant to last. When Jackson turned his back on her, she chose Caiden and destroyed all three.
Dark and Light and the girl caught in between. Three characters you won't soon forget. This duet isn't flowers and candy, romance, and sweet sentiments. It is obsession, dangerous infatuation, failed beginnings, and tragic endings. Soulmate or stalker? Lover or tormentor? It's a fine line in Everly's life. She brings out the dangerous passions of men. Memories haunt the present and can tarnish the future but heaven can finally be found in a field of wildflowers. Intense, tragic, compelling. A twisted bond that will never disappear. An absolute must-read duet.
This is a book that bleeds your emotions on pages. I loved every second I spent reading it. I was literally mid cry for the first half of the book for FMC's anguish and pain. The author did an amazing job of transitioning various aspects of the characters, their depth and the reasons behind their thoughts. And it blended together in this beautiful heart wrenching story. Caiden and Jackson were twins that couldn't be more similar or more different. The moment where the FMC decided that she was done tolerating shit from others was empowering moment for the character. Honestly there couldn't have been a better way to end the book. At some parts the book switched between fast to slow paced, which I wasn't a fan of, but I think it was necessary for the vibe. A great read for someone looking to read an engaging high school romance with childhood friends.
This was a re-read for me as I love this dark soul gripping story. You feel so hard and so much for these three! You don’t know who is good, who is bad, and are on the edge of your seat the entire duet.
Everly meets two boys when she is younger who immediately protect her and become her entire life.
Who will she pick Caiden or Jackson? One is sweet, the other is dark but both are head over heels for Everly.
Even though I read this forever ago, I could not wait to read this duet back to back all together in the book. The twists and turns, some still shocked me after all the time.
I love this story. It ripped my heart and soul into a million pieces and I didn’t want to put it down.
Jackson is my boo who I love soooo much. Dark and filled with demons, I constantly wanted to reach in and hug him. Absolutely fantastic!
I’m not crying…you’re crying. Just wow. This duet was so hauntingly beautiful. I just adore Jackson and Everly. The rollercoaster that C.R. Jane took us on with this book was just so emotional, intense and tragic, but yet so beautiful and soul touching. I was kept on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happened after every twist and turn. The book is so well written, and flows perfectly. The characters are so real that you feel like you know them, and that you are going through all these experiences and scenes with them. The ending to this book gave the perfect closure to a heartbreaking, touching, epic romance. I absolutely loved this duet and highly recommend giving it a whirl…you won’t regret it!
This had me hooked. The angst, the trauma, the forbidden love, the twists and turns just kept me drawn in and annoyed I had to put it down to work and sleep!😂
This is my first C R Jane book and I am excited to try some more. I really enjoyed the story building and the characters, even the manic ones.. out of left field… Melanie..
I suppose what they say about love driving you to destruction is shown on the pages of this book by all involved. I did wonder at one stage with amount of concussions Everly experienced if that would become a plot twist, but thankfully not.
I really enjoyed this story the dual POV and the extra POV’s added at the end. I would recommend this book that love a twins, angsty romance that has the ability to break your heart and theirs.
Trigger Warnings: Suicide, Attempted Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence
I think it's safe to say at this point that CR Jane can do no wrong in my eyes. Based on the synopsis of book one, I wasn't sure what to expect of this series. I know it was definitely something I would love, but had no idea where the story would go. If you love a good bully romance, then I highly recommend this one. I love Jackson and Everly. Between the past and present chapters, the author does such a great job of making the reader understand how the characters got to the point they have. This duet had so many ups and downs, but was such an enjoyable ride!
I have no words that would do this justice. 5 hours it took to binge read this duet, without once putting it down. It completely sucked me in. It’s an incredible read. This story is addictive, leaving you on the edge of your seat wondering what could possibly happen next. My anxiety was sky high the whole time reading this. Such a heart wrenching beautiful story that grips you. I love Everly and Jackson, their story although dark at points, was absolutely beautiful. Loved it! Definitely Recommend
This duet omnibus is absolutely amazing. Everly’s story is one of confusion, heartbreak, and love. We get Everly’s story with Jackson and Caiden, twins light and dark. Tragedy strikes, and they fall apart. We see the reconnection with one of the twins, and the rebuilding process begins. But it’s not until book two that readers take off on an emotional rollercoaster, truth bombs falling left and right.
The HEA is soooo hard earned in this book, but if you stick with it(with at least one box of tissues), you’ll feel alll the emotions!
This was an emotional rollercoaster. I don’t even know where to begin and I think the best thing to do is to dive in to the book and read it. Just read it!
It was beautiful, heartbreaking and emotional. This characters have been through so much and it’s not a fairytale but it’s the best outcome for their story.
Absolutely love it!
-twin brothers -fmc with a rough background -everyone is a monster…. -friends-enemies-lovers -mental health -check TW (bully romance)
