If it was possible to give more than 5 stars, this book definitely deserves it!!!! This book is dark and sexy!! I could not put this book down from page 1. Ezra and Lily are perfect together!!! I definitely will be recommending this book to my friends!!!

5 HOLY MOLY STARS!! Holy Moly....this book was dark and delicious. I devoured this Book in about 3 hours....it was SO GOOD. These two authors have us a gift to hold and savor....Ezra and Lily are perfection. You must read this book.

Hot and feisty!
I enjoyed this first book release from the writing duo of Authors Kathy Coopmans and Kate Benson, and I am new to the writing talent of Ms Benson. In RELINQUISH, we met contract killer Ezra Stone, and Lily Parker, the wife of one of his marks set within an insta-love forced-confinement environment. This is all loosely tied together within a romantic suspense package.
What can I say about the moment where Lily lays her eyes on Ezra! It was potentially one of the most dangerous moments in her life, and she was stunned not only by the dark and deadly beauty of him, but at her own visceral reaction. That is the exact moment where I was hooked on the book and knew I would stay up all night to read it. Work the next day be damned, and tomorrow can worry about itself, but in this today, this moment, I needed answers and I needed Ezra and Lily’s story.
Little did I know that the twist that would render me struck without words. The whole reason behind the murder of Theo Parker, Lily’s husband was so cleverly simple, that it became so easily complicated.
Ezra was a man haunted and internally scarred by the events of his past. Events that like Lily, we don’t find out about until we’ve fallen in love with this Contract-Killer-with-a-conscience. I mean, is there an extra charge for that?
I can’t even tell you how much I loved Lily’s feistiness, although as much as I loved it, after the marriage she’d suffered, she bounced back pretty quickly from the brokenness that Ezra observed when he’d first met her standing over her husbands dead body.
I’ve absolutely loved Ms Coopmans writing in the past, and I really wanted to love this one too. Typically, I luuurve insta-love, and Ms’s Coopmans and Benson got the heat level ramped on high right from the start between Ezra and Lily, but the insta-love and the close proximity situation almost felt somewhat ‘forced’. Hot?? Nailed it. Witty banter?? Again, nailed it. Chemistry??? I’m starting to struggle a little here. And finally, natural progression of the relationship??? Forced-ish. Like pressure cooker forced, quickly heated and cooked within a fraction of the time, which I guess is exactly what the authors were going for with their book’s direction. Did it make me even think for a moment that I might not like the book??? That’s a big hell no, and again I wasn’t going to go to bed early without finishing it, but, I wasn’t chomping at the bit and dying to read faster while not wanting to reach the end kind of keen about it all either. At least not half way through anyway, instead, it just seemed to stall slightly. I’m happy to say that the plot moved a little faster towards the end, although the wrap up was pretty rapid.
Another point of difference was the multiple POV presented in a way that I’ve only come across a few times, and have loved it. It’s basically the dual first-person POV of Ezra and Lily, as well as a POV of the perpetrator. I absolutely believe it was so cleverly done that even I felt creeped out by it. I was ready to take a peek out between the curtains that we don’t have, just to make sure no one was out there in the dark looking in!!!!
All up, this wasn’t an easy book for me to automatically rate and scream all the stars, but it was still one that I enjoyed to the point of staying up way too late to finish it. It’s a book that I recommend for the Insta-Lovers and the Romantic-Suspense Lover. And if you just enjoy a hot, honourable, possessive and alpha killer for hire, who is actually a nice man because he only takes out the rubbish, and a feisty heroine who pushed alllllllll the buttons of our hero, then this is for you. And that’s a 4-Star review from me 🔥🔥🔥

Kathy Coopmans and Kate Benson have come together to bring us one dark and dexiliciously hot hit man romance. You are going to fall in love with hired killer, Ezra Stone. His past turned him into the killer he is and made him hard and unfeeling. What he endured will make you understand why. When arriving to complete a hired hit, Ezra never expected Lily to be the thing to make him feel again. She was completely unexpected in so many ways. She was beautiful, spunky and full of fire that made his blood boil in more ways than one.
I promise you will not want to put this book down. The writing is seamless between Kate and Kathy. There are so many twist and turns that you dont see coming. Not to mention the super hot insta connection between Ezra and Lily that will make you devour this story in one sitting.

This book was so good , I love Ezra a contracted hit man but so much more than that underneath and Lily brings that out in him. Now that I’ve read the book I would of liked to have more of a glimpse into Theo’s and Lily’s world until it collapsed… I wasn’t expecting who was behind it until it came to the part just before you found out who it was, but I wasn’t really giving it much thought as I was too busy inhaling the story of Lily and Ezra. Love Lily to a strong foul mouthed woman. I’m hoping it’s Kaci’s story next, great read indeed !

So Good!!
I loved Ezra right off the bat from the first chapter. A dark, take no $hit man.
Then we have Lily she was fiesty and I loved her too.
Strange definitely unconventional meet led to being stuck together in close quarters for an unforeseeable time. There was an immediate attraction that quickly grew to more.
But we had the threat looming over them and OMG! the reveal and ending.
I can't forget the emotional baggage our dark damaged hero was carrying, my heart broke for him.

I was intrigued going into this one because I really enjoy both of these authors' work. What we get is an intense emotional ride that throws two people together in the most unexpected way that has a few twists along the way. The pain that Ezra has been carrying for years, the trauma that Lily had to endure. These two souls needed to find each other to become whole again. They played amazingly off of each other. I loved how fiercely protective Ezra is of Lily while things are getting so twisted. I found this story to be gritty at times but also romantically beautiful. It is very much a great blend of these two authors!

I'm always eager to read books written by Kathy Coopmans and to make things even better, I get the chance to meet a new author.
I've been following Kathy's books for a few years now and I can say that there wasn't one book that I didn't love.
Her writing is raw and wild, sweet and heartfelt with a touch of darkness into the mix.
Regarding Kate Benson, she's a new author to me.
I hadn't had the chance to read a book from her but let me just say that only one book, sealed the deal for me.
Oh boy... What a duo.
Relinquish is their latest release and it's the first book from the Raven's Oath series.
This new book explores the lives of Ezra and Lily.
Ezra is a hired killer. He's a Hitman. He's ruthless and will get the job done, no matter what.
When he's given one particular job...
Lily thought that she was living a dream. A good job, a great husband until it wasn't.
When she learned that he was not what she thought, things changed.
What she wasn't counting on was him being murdered...
OMG, when this book ended, my heart was so full.
This book was so freaking perfect that I wanted to keep reading.
Why did it have to end?
Stellar plot, very well written, super engaging, and intense.
Each chapter was even more addictive than the previous and I couldn't stop reading. Nor did I want to, if I'm being honest.
The characters worked perfectly with each other and you can feel the bond they share.
Of course that not everything was a bed of roses... We had some thorns in the way...
There were parts of the book that I wanted to slap someone silly, jeez, stubborn much?
But then there were others that I wanted to hold them tight and promise better days.
It's incredible to see what a caged soul can do once it's set free.
It's hard to witness pain when you can't forgive yourself.
The suspense was there and I saw myself biting my nails to see who was it? What will happen next?
So freaking good, and the hot scenes? Lord have mercy.
This was an amazing story that started perfectly and ended even better.
I sure hope to have more news from Lily and Ezra in the next books from this series.
We will right Kathy and Kate? Please say yes...
And please tell me that the next book will be about Kaci... I want it so bad.

Ezra is one demanding alpha man. He has a boat load of baggage from his past.
Lily is one smart woman. They have an instant connection. Loved all the twist and turns in this story. Could not wait to see what Ezra and Lily were going. Loved there chemistry. Loved the perfect ending.

Holy freaking hotness! Kate Benson and Kathy Coopmans delivered this insanely hot romantic suspense in Relinquish. Nuclear hot with amazing chemistry and nail biting suspense made it an irresistible one. Ezra is a gorgeous complicated alpha hero and Lily is a little bombshell who will win your heart.

Ezra Stone calls himself a mercenary for hire and he works for Raven's Oath. When he reaches for his next target's home, he finds that Theo Parker has been brutally murdered already and his wife Lily is standing over his dead body in a shocked stage. Next part of his mission was to deliver Lily to another location but something about this scene makes his feel suspicious and he forces Lily to leave with him and goes on hiding till his organisation figures out what is happening. Lily won't go with him or comply with his demands because she is done being someone's puppet. The alarmingly sinful chemistry is getting more difficult to resist with each day.

Ezra has his demons and he has chosen this dangerous ruthless life because he is forever running away from his past. He is cold and detached and merciless as a killer. He is edgy and dominating and ridiculously dirty in bed. The way he carries himself and the way he dominates Lily's body..instant alpha addiction alert! Lily is a fierce character. Her dead husband has hurt her and manipulated her and abused her. She is determined to be independent and free. And so she fights against Ezra with everything. They had to build up trust and soon they recognised each other's broken hearts! It was fast paced with so many twists. And as I said, it was super steamy. Like crazy steamy. It was emotional and heartbreaking when the pain of the characters came out. Over all a fantastic romantic suspense from Kate Benson and Kathy Coopmans.

The collaboration from these two authors on Relinquish was epic. They did an amazing job keeping this story not only engaged but making you think one thing when something totally different happens. It will keep you on your toes and guessing that is for sure. Ezra has been through so much when his life takes an unexpected turn he now has a new life as a killer. He works for an elite team that is small but powerful. When a job doesn't turn out right and the wife of that job is standing there well there is only one choice to take her. Lily thought that she was in love with her husband and her life when she finds out things that no wife wants to know. Now she's in hiding with the man she believes destroyed things. Ezra and Lily have a powerful connection that seems unbreakable. However, there is an outside force this about to rip their worlds apart. Can Ezra save Lily, let her into his life, and they live happily ever after? Find out because you won't believe what happens. I sure the heck didn't. I was shocked, to say the least.

For me this was a good book but I was secretly hoping/expecting more. I was thinking there would be a bit more action and suspense. I’ve never read a Kate Benson book before but I’ve adored Kathy Coopmans books for years.
I’m not a huge fan of instalove romance, I just think it truly takes more than a few hours or a couple days to really love someone. Ezra and Lily had a lot of passion and heat for each other that started out with anger and frustration. Their constant bickering back and forth early on in the book was a bit much for me and at times seemed childish.
I loved how Ezra was ready to truly open up his heart with Lily. He knew there was just something about her. My heart broke for him and what he lost but I was glad when he felt ready to open up to Lily about it. These two were really perfect for each other and I’m glad they found one another.

I mean I flove Kathy Coopmans but this co-write with Kate Benson still blew me away! I would not ofguessed, it truly is seamless!

Holy now this was a smoking hot read! Lily and Ezra seemed to have met at the perfect time, both were broken souls needing to be mended. This read had everything I want in a book: suspense, love, mystery and some hot scenes that will light your eReader on fire. Loved this book once I picked it up it was tough to put it down, adulting sucks when there's a good book to be read.

This book...WOW! It's incredible. I am one to believe in love at first sight. Ezra and Lily have a magnetic, electrifying first encounter that can only be love. Right? Because holy hotness their chemistry is off the charts. Especially when they argue. Love at first sight. *sigh*

This is a new co writing duo, and one half of it was new to me. For their first joint book baby it was good, but definitely some things that will hopefully be ironed out as they go.
I loved the premise this book, but for me the suspense I was looking forward to, a lot of the time it got lost/overshadowed by all the steam. Although I know many readers who will love that.
The main characters did seem perfect for each other despite the rate of when things started and heated up.
In saying all of this it still mostly kept my attention and I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with next.

While Ezra's job isn't the most tridiagonal job that a normal person would go to. He is trained to do one thing. while going to do a hit that was already done, he see's Lily standing above her dead husband. she is such a beautiful woman. there is a draw to each other that neither of them understand. Ezra try's to control the situation and Kidnaps her. there is so much banter and tension between Lily and Ezra. I loved Lily's sass and spunk. I loved that there was suspense in the book and had a hard time putting it down.

This is kate Benson and Kathy Coopmans first co written story. O boy they have written a fantastic story. Ezra is a contract killer, a hot has hell one at that. His past has changed him to how he is now. Will he be able to accept what happened in his past and open up to a special someone again?
Lily is a sweetheart or is she!! Can she get away from the life she’s made to live. Her mouth could put and drunken sailor to shame.
This story will keep you wanting more by the page. I can’t wait to see what these two amazing ladies have planned for future books together.

I loved Kate Benson and Kathy Coopmans collaboration with Relinquish. I am new to Kate’s work but a long-time reader of Kathy’s. This is the first book in the Raven’s Oath series, and they definitely did not disappoint! Relinquish takes you on quite a ride full of suspense and smoking hot sexiness! I loved Ezra and Lily together. Their chemistry was straight off the charts HOT! Relinquish drew me in from the beginning and left me impatiently waiting for book two.

Love when authors collaborate. Ezra and Lily were a heat mechanism that was burning from the inside out. Great suspense romance that takes you through an adventure that was unexpected, with bumps and bruises along the way and bring these characters to continually connect at every turn. Great story and great collaboration.

Ezra and Lily have a non-traditional first time meeting, to say the least. Lily is very leary to trust him, even though she does. They head out together, keeping each other safe in more ways than one. Their story is emotional, suspenseful, and shmexy! I enjoyed it very much.

This was another new author collaboration for me, but I am definitely glad I chose to read it!! Kathy Coopmans and Kate Benson have come together to bring us one dark and deliciously hot hitman romance. You are going to fall in love with hired killer, Ezra Stone. His past turned him into the killer he is and made him hard and unfeeling. What he endured in his past will make you understand why. Upon arriving to complete a hired hit, Ezra never expected Lily to be the one thing that would make him feel again. She was completely unexpected in so many ways. She was beautiful, spunky and full of fire that made his blood boil in more ways than one. Ezra is one demanding alpha male with a load of baggage from his past. Lily is one smart woman.
I guarantee you will not want to put this book down once you’ve started reading it. The collaboration from these two authors on Relinquish was epic. They did an amazing job keeping this story not only engaged but making you think one thing when something totally different happens. There are so many twists and turns that you won’t see coming. Lily, the foul mouthed wife of Ezra’s hit, is freaking amazing. She’s strong willed, maybe too much for Ezra at times. She gets Ezra to open up to her more than he’s ever opened up yo any other person.
I just want to be the third in their relationship !! Lol
I’m not giving any spoilers buuutttt…. I never saw that person being behind it all. Well done ladies.

Ezra is a hired hit man ordered to take out Lilys husband. But when he gets to the house, someone has beat him to it. Now, he must make sure that Lily is safe from whoever wants to harm her. This book has some serious spice as well. I can't wait to read more in this series.
