I really liked the voices of the main characters in this story. Elyan and Lydia were such strong voices I could picture them really clearly, And Erik and Tori were a great contrast to them.

I did start to feel a little lost as the plot progressed and the “lost children” were introduced because there were a lot of names, and immediate nicknames for characters so I was struggling to picture scenes properly as I couldn’t keep up, but once the plot kicked in this did become easier.

It’s an interesting take on a Chosen One/dystopian/superhero style story and it will be interesting to see where this series goes next!

I first found this book while scrolling through tik tok and bought it after reading the first page and i do not regret it. A thriller and unique book about a group of likable protagonists trying to take down and intimidating yet believable villain, throw in a mix of scifi and supernatural elements this is a read i would recommend to anyone
